    Eclipses Be

Dry, slightly sour amber powder from bottle to extreme dry down. Zero clove or carnation. Gambled and lost but maybe aging will redeem it.

    Pink Moon 2012

Hello. My name is White Chocolate. You killed my father. Prepare to die. Why oh WHY? I don't usually amp white chocolate--or any chocolate--but the white chocolate is overwhelming everything else in this blend, and the throw is amazing. If I get in very close and sniff, I can catch wisps of the florals, but the white chocolate is noticeable from more than arm's length away. Maybe aging will help.
  3. #147 : Cheesecake. No crust, no berries, just straight cheesecake. I'm hungry now.

    Sara Pezzini

Someone mentioned Wilson's leather, and that's pretty much spot on for how this smells in the bottle. I was hoping for something a little more old saddle room, lol. Initially the leather is very strong on me, but it's not unpleasant; I think it's the musk making it smell less like I got a new jacket. After it dries for a while (20-30m?) the musk and honey come forward and the leather dies back to almost nothing. It's much more enjoyable that way for me, so I'm glad I chanced a bottle.

    The Anti-Saloon League

I got extra cream with a little bit of effervescent sarsaparilla, but weirdly it's not foody; it's got a musk thing going that keeps it more perfume.

    Chaste Moon 2010

This is not '05. I knew that (sorta) but I still hoped, lol. What it actually smells like to me is this dusting powder everyone in my family used to buy for my cousin when she was five or six. She LOVED it, and probably went through a box a month. It was a weird, soapy, heavy floral. I don't remember the brand (brands?), but it came in a huge plastic container (pink, blue, or aqua, didn't matter because it was the same scent). Chaste Moon 2010 is that scent. When it dries down, the aquatic note peeks out from under the florals. Very clean, very floral dusting powder.

    Strawberry Moon 2009

    Fresh, sticky dandelion stems.

    Chaos Theory V: Recursive Self-Similarity v1

CI Wet: Clove, ginger, strong black tea; it smells a lot like chai without milk. Dry, it's still very spicy but there's more of the musk and tea from Dorian with a tiny hint of pine. Very masculine, which Dorian isn't on me. It's really quite nice, without being something I want to smell of personally. ETA: and it lasts forever. The Dorian is long gone but the spices are still around after a shower. ETA 2010: This is a year old now, and the cinnamon I wasn't positive was in it has developed a lot. It actually tingles like a lip venom when I put it on. The hyper-masculinity has died down some, but wow, spicy.

    Flower Moon 2009

Bottle and initial application: flowers. Drydown: I had a hand lotion just like this, I wish I could remember the brand. There's no honey, just a "flowery hand lotion" scent. Maybe after it has settled from its trip it will be less lotiony.

    Chaos Theory V: Recursive Self-Similarity v2

CXXVII: In the bottle and wet, a somewhat horrifying herbal-y mushroom; it retains that scent to the point it makes me slightly nauseous. After an hour and a half that finally wears off, leaving a somewhat peppery O, which is actually very nice. I'll age this before I decide to get rid of it, but unless the herbal mushroom ages completely away, the final stage just isn't nice enough to warrant the initial stages for me. ETA: after about two hours it's just O.

    Dark Chocolate and Pepper-Smoked Caramel

Bottle; chocolate, a little caramel and pepper. Yum! Dry...smoke. I smell like a fire. ):

    Giant Vulva

Aquatic beeswax. Aquatics give me a headache and beeswax can go either way, in this case badly. I wish I had seen the reviews that mentioned aquatics before I ordered it, but somehow I missed them. Maybe aging will help, but I suspect in a few months I'll be looking to trade this off.

    White Chocolate and Strawberry

At first I don't get any white chocolate as such, just ultra sweet strawberry candy. After it dries down the white chocolate comes out and defines itself, but it still plays second fiddle to the strawberry.

    Khrysee

Wet it was orange blossom and amber. It smelled a LOT like these. Drydown and extreme drydown were both all amber all the time, maybe with just a hint of sandalwood. Which is weird, since there's no sandalwood. I don't get any vanilla as such, just a sense that it's probably mellowing the orange blossom. Not exactly what I was hoping for. Ok, but not something I'll reach for often, probably. I'll try it again after it ages. ETA: On me this last and lasts and lasts. I'm at 10 hours and it's still there enough that I need to wash it off if I want to try anything else.

    Bengal

This is gorgeous and I love it. Honey and spice and really deliciously good--for 10 minutes. It dries and it's just gone.

    The Fainting Couch Atmosphere Spray

Definitely floral. Rose, yes, and just a little violet. It actually reminds me a lot of Hope and Faith without the sugar. I like it, my boys not so much.

    Candy Phoenix

A pinker version of Sticky Pillowcase to me, with a little sweeter drydown. I like it a lot.

    Champagne, Chocolate, and Cheap Sex

I get the champagne (smells kind of like sprite to me, actually), and I get just a whiff of the chocolate, but mostly it turns to sprite on me. Alas. Still, it's very refreshing and I actually like sniffing the vial a lot (:

    Tabella

Wet and on first application, it's a dead ringer for Johnson's baby shampoo. Which is ok, because I was dreading the olive blossom. After it dried, however, it was "vaguely herbal". Sometimes a hint of sage and oddly sort of a minty feeling without ever being minty. Possibly I just associate mint with clean/refreshing. It vanished POOF after 15 minutes, one of the rare scents that does that on me. Usually they last and last and last.

Vanilla butter mint candy drying down to minty vanilla, gorgeous. So glad I nabbed a bottle of this just in case!

Mmmmm creamy smooth black licorice. Delicious!

I Fell in Love with a Floating Brain

This doesn't morph on me at all; wet, dry, and drydown it's strawberry shortcake. If I put my nose up and huff, I can get a faint hint of the spicyness of the carnation and some citrus, but only if I really huff. It's delicious and I'm in love

    Snow Bunny

Irish Springs? It's a dead ringer for Irish Springs on me. My husband walked past and asked why I used his soap, so it's got a fairly decent thrown on me as well.

    Sugar Cookie

In the vial it's lovely, warm snickerdoodle scent. On my skin it's gone by the time it dries. Guess I'll use it for linens and room scenting.

    Athens

It's too bad, because in the vial it only has a hint of wine, but once it's on everything else cowers behind the wine. I smell like I was dunked in a wine bottle, lol. EDIT 9 Jan: It's aged in a cool dark place for a couple months, and the other notes are coming out once applied. Unfortunately it's still overwhelmingly wine, but not nearly as much as fresh.
