  1. in the bottle: perfumy florals.

wet: roses. orchids. a floral lovers dream

as it dries the musk starts twining its tentacles about the flower garden. strong musky scent w/ a rosey -orchid background. not really creamy at all. and way more flowers then i tend to do regularly, *but* my dh is loving it. came in the room and said wow something you have on is gorgeous....so....

  2. in the bottle: soft, sweetness, slightly musky

wet: almost nothing....the great disappearing oil. a barely there whisper of something slightly sweet....but i mean BARELY there

after a few minutes, i start getting whiffs of something, but it is a light, faint touch of scent, soft. feminine. there is something honey-like, or sugar coated in my nose....sweet. powdered sugar maybe, and yes something reminding me of cassia. but it is the faintest touch of cassia...not sharp, not harsh, just a whisper and all that lovilness, sweet, spicey... is wrapped up in the gentlest musk imaginable. the scent doess get stronger as it dries, but it never becomes a "strong" scent. it is a skin hugger. soft and sweet enveloping me like a lovers sigh. i adore this scent. really really adore it!

  3. in the bottle: bourbon, tobacco, and something chocolatey

wet: wow pure bourbon, like sniffing a glass of bourbon

as it dries, i am getting whatever is giving me the chocolate impression again...very weird cause this smells like bliss w/ bourbon and tobacco leaf thrown in. i am not getting cologney scent, or even masculine. this is warm, cozy, perfect for sitting here in my pj's looking out at the blizzard outside. which is what i am doing

eta: after a loooong time this does quite a morph and goes from chocolatey "bliss" to hod....i kid you not. my chemistry must be on crack or something

  4. in the bottle: patchouli, musk and currant

    wet: strong patchouli and musk

as it dries there is an undercurrent of something...interesting and i believe it is the tobacco, i love tobacco scents. this isn't in your face, but i definitely detect the sweet warm brown scent of tobacco, combine taht w/ the musk and patchouli and you get this bold, sexy scent, nothing soft or gentle about it. arachnina is a woman who knows what she wants, she isn't afraid to do what she has to to get it. and frankly i am enamoured of her.

  5. shelldoo, reviewing incognito...undercover reviewer hiding from the jasmine aka satan's flower of doom

in the bottle: sandalwood, musk, honey, floral

wet: awesome, gorgeous, musky, honey, slightly green and clean yet sultry and sexy at the same time. more floral then i expected. but thank goodness the jasmine isn't aware that it is *me* wearing it, or all hell would break loose...

as it dries the amber settles this, and it becomes so incredible. very feminine. uber sexy. vanilla, musk, honey, ginger...these are the stars of the show, but the amber and florals are the supporting cast, smooth and slinky. i can't stop sniffing this...and even the jasmine lets me have fun w/ this one. one of the stand outs of this act imho

  6. in the bottle: interesting. almost bitter blackberry, and patchouli

wet: all bitter blackberry...blackberry waltzes a very fine line between the fruit, and smelling almost like cat box...so i am watching this very carefully...right now i am still at fruit so here is to hoping....

as it dries the sage is closer to the front but is it still mostly blackberry. the patchouli is adding a grounding earthy note, that keeps this in check. i am a sucker for patchouli.

  7. in the bottle: lavander and sandalwood

wet: lavander, sandalwood, and awaphui..actually kinda shampoo like in nature

this is a very clean, fresh scent. not quite soapy, but fresh for sure. actually i kind of enjoy it although it isn't my normal mo. the lavander is not as prominent as it was in the beginning it is mostly awapuhi, but i do detect a bit of sandalwood also.

  8. in the bottle:rose and violet.

wet: yup yup. rose, violet and pear. very soft faint pear.

as this dries the pear becomes more prominent, and the rose/violet combo steps back. it still however is primarily a floral blend. but the pear smooths it in to a seemless blend. it is all at once sweetly floral, and yet juicy fruity. a springy blend that is quite fun to wear.

  9. in the bottle: patchouli and peaches. interesting combination....

wet: strong strong patchouli and some frakincense.

as it dries it sweetens a bit and i get more carnation and a hint of another floral which i am not sure of, could be peach blossom or honeysuckle, or even a combo of the two that i just can't quite nail down. but it remians an incensy resinous blend sweetly scented w/ light florals. and i adore it.

  10. in the bottle: rapefruit, cherry, grape...reminds me of fruit salad

wet: wow ummm cherry, grapefruit candies.

as it dries: it stays very similar to in teh bottle and wet. it is a sweet juicy fruity smell. grapish, cherry, and a hint of pink grapefruit. but it is very smooth and a hint of floral. i am not really getting ginger, musk, or verbena but it is more complex then just saying fruity, and it is also so incredibly smooth, that i know more notes are involved then just the obvious fruity ones. this is another incredible bptp blend.

  11. in the bottle: O M G!!!!!sweet, spicey

    vanilla, musk, clove...faints!

wet: this is unbearably gorgeous. i can't stop sniffing my arm. it is just what i wanted it to be. and it is stunning. soft clove, not biting, not burning just a nice soft clove. very reminicent of my clove cigarettes. which i LOVE!

as it dries this becomes absolutely soft, fluffy. vanilla, musky, hint of clove...perfect and beth i will gladly whore myself to you for more :P

  12. in the bottle:frankinsence, and orris root. sweet, resinous.

wet: orris root is at the forefront. i often think orris smells somewhat fruity and sweet. this is no exception to that, it is a fun, sweet scent, rather juicy in nature.

as it dries it is still rather orris in nature, but it softens, becomes a bit more floral , guessing the hibiscus is coming out to play. so basically a fun, light hearted, floral w/ frakinsence grounding the whole thing making it deeper, and more incensy then just a floral blend. one of my favorites of this act

  13. in the bottle: berry. sweet.

wet: almost all berries. yet this has a spicey edge, i am assuning due to teh snake oil

this has moments that remind me of a berry shampoo, then it occassionally reminds me of my trip to hawaii, which i have no clue why. basivcally this is a sweet, sometimes spicy, berry blend. fresh, innocent in nature, and not alot of snake oil to be found.

  14. fresh sweet, fruity, juicy...all describe this in the bottle

wet: this smells wet. watery, i guess that is the bamboo

this is soft, moist, aquatic in nature, yet has a sweetness most aquatics don't ahve. i am not a huge aquatic fan, but i honestly could learn to love this scent.

  15. in the bottle: soft, sweet, musky

wet: something sweet, almost brandy-type sweetness, i don't get any melon at all.nor do i detect citrus of any time, actually nothing fruity really. but i do think there is a possibility of something nutty and i am definitely getting musk....i almost am getting a celery type note, but when i catch it it runs off....weird.

as it dries this is so soft, close to the skin, musky but not w/ alot of throw. and something sweet and creamy.

  16. i will preface this review, w/ the sad announcement that i only ordered one bottle, totally expecting the floral aspect to kill this scent for me.

in the bottle: musky, sticky flowers.

wet: strong resins, musk, and orchid.

as it dries this is incredibly sexy. it definitely has an incensy quality, it also has a very soft feminine edge. and it has quite a bit of throw. this scent deserves the name dark delicacies. it is so delicate, and yet darkness, and depth to keep it from being too fru fru on me. the whole thing is blended so seemless, that it is almost impossible to defrintiate between notes, and at the same time i can feel almost everything listed. this jumped straight on to my top 5 list, and i promptly ordered several more bottles.

ps the label totally rocked my socks too.

  17. this is soft, sweet, quiet.

this reminds me of the violet in sybaris, but softly coated w/ sweet confectioners sugar, a dusty white coating reminecent of snowy blankets coating early blossoming spring flowers. soft sweetly powder sugar and violets so fragile you are almost afraid to breathe deeply near them, for fear of injuring their petals. glorious!

  18. in the bottle: a lighter sweeter version of snow moon. which was one of my favorite moons.

wet: much more similar to snow moon then the faint scent in the bottle.

this reminds me also of tko, like maybe snow moon w/ a drizzle of tko iced on top. a gorgeous, snowy scent sweetened a bit, possibly by the sandalwood, or maybe the amber, or maybe even both.

    i love this scent
