I gotta be honest. This smells wretched to me in the imp. Almost like...olive juice? Kind of like a dirty martini! Where the heck is this coming from? Blech. But, because I'm a glutton for punishment, I have to try this out. On my skin I think I maybe smell a little honey in there? Maybe? Sort of? Still, it mostly feels like olive juice and incense, and it is not my thing at ALL. I let this dry all the way to be sure, and it needs to be washed off now. Totally not for me. Strong, and sour, and to be swapped to somebody who will give it the love that I can't!

The Arrival at the Sabbath and Homage to the Devil

In the imp this smells absolutely delicious! All I get is the vanilla and the caramel! Yum I'm a little worried about how this blend will work on my skin because I tend to amp sandalwood to where it overpowers every other note! Hopefully this won't happen! As soon as it hits my skin the caramel and vanilla start to fade into the background and the florals start pushing to the forefront. This is...so weird. It's just an odd blend. Something about the boozy caramel and the florals just don't seem to go together to me. Interestingly, I don't really notice the sandalwood (shock!), but I do catch the patchouli in there. I need to see how this is on full drydown. Newp. This isn't gonna work for me. It's not bad at all and in some ways it's a really nice caramel scent, but something about it just turns my stomach and makes me feel a little sick. It's just too much. I'm not quite sure of what exactly, but it just is. I think it reminds me too much of these caramel rice cakes I overdid when I was younger. Bleh. To the swaps you go. -
In the imp this is WHOA-super sweet almonds and spices. Pretty much the lab description. I'm not sure if this is going to be a bit much though. And I don't always do well with honey notes, even if I like them before they hit my skin. GAH. It smells really good on my skin but I put my nose up a little too close and it BURNED. O_< Mmmm, this is yummy though. Mmmm! This is sexy! It softens up a bit, so it isn't so cloyingly sugary. Sweet almond naughtied up by spices. Delicious! A perfect hot date night scent! This is added to my bottle list. Gorgeous!

I got this as a frimp, and when I first sniffed it, before reading the ingredients, all I could smell was ROSE! I can sometimes do rose in perfume, but usually not when it is the main note. I do like the smell in the imp, but I have a feeling this will not get along with my skin. Ahh, on my skin I believe I can smell those "victorian spices" along with the rose. From far away this is a lovely soft rose scent, I just can't put my arm too close to my nose or the rose is overpowering. Hopefully this will soften on full drydown. When fully dry this is a pleasant, innocent rose. It has an indescribable nostalgic feel to it. It surprisingly did not go funky on my skin, but honestly it's just not my favorite type of scent so I will be swapping this one. If anyone asked me for a good rose blend though, I would absolutely recommend Lucy's Kiss!

I like this in the imp. I'm not quite sure how to describe it, but it's a pleasant floral. Softer than I expected actually... On my skin, this is just ok. I don't love it, I don't hate it, it just isn't very special to me. I'm sure there is a perfect Dragon's Blood scent out there for me, this just isn't it.

In the imp this dirt and rose. Mostly dirt. Not my cuppa. It's a bit nicer on the skin. Less dirty, more earthy rose. On full drydown, the rose went funky and it's pretty much just sour dirt. Totally not my bag. Swap time!

Mmmm! I love this in the imp. I don't really notice the musk so much, but I looove those other three notes! Oooo, this is the kind of herbal I like! The sweat pea is the strongest note, which is fine with me because I adore sweat pea! This is a gorgeous blend! Darn it, another to add to the bottle list

Mmmmm! I love the smell of this in the imp! Sweet 'n sour cherry, rich and delicious and musky. Yes, this is beautiful on my skin, a mix of cherry and black licorice. Even though the cherry gets a little more eaten up on my skin than i'd like, luckily I love the smell of anise. Yep, I love this. Will be a full bottle purchase one day.

The dark chocolate, boozy wine, and honey are the strongest notes for me in the imp. I barely notice the florals, but they are definitely there. I loooove chocolate scents, but haven't found a bpal chocolate blend that works on me yet. I'm not sure this will be it... Once on my skin the notes that had been the strongest, become the weakest, and the florals, tobacco, and balsam come out more. Chocolate is pretty gone. Nope, this isn't for me. To the swaps you go!

In the imp this is very sharp lavender. Almost a little too sharp, but I have learned that imp/bottle smells tend to be much sharper than the actual scent on the skin. Ahh yes, it immediately mellows on the skin. And now I get something more than lavender, which must be the magnolia. Lovely. It's still sharp and bright, but not in an off-putting way. This is the kind of scent that I had hoped Long Night Moon would be like! *sigh* On full dry-down I am in love. I can't stop sniffing my hand. Beautifully captures the essence of Yvaine. Elegant and sparkling. I will definitely need a bottle of this in the future.

In the imp I definitely get the cocoa, red musk, wine and patchouli. I'm...not sure these all mix together very well. Cocoa and patchouli...egghhh...It's like dropping a piece of chocolate in some red wine and then rolling it in the dirt...let's see how this works on my skin! OOF...patchouli and musk and sandalwood are amping hardcore! I only get teeny whiffs of the chocolate but it is losing the fight to be noticed! Nooo! I also was don't do well with sandalwood, and this is no exception. I love she smell of sandalwood when it ISN'T on my skin. Oy, I don't even know exactly how to describe this. It's just weird. I'm going to let it completely dry and see if I can make some sense of it! Nope, this isn't gonna work on me. It smells alright from far away, but up close it's just kind of a mess. This is just such an odd combo to me. And unfortunately, the sandalwood has almost entirely taken over, as it always does on my skin. Off to the swaps you shall go.

In the imp I get sharp grapefruit. There's little hints of floral underneath, but the major note I'm getting is grapefruit. Oof, I can definitely see where people get a "lemon pledge" kind of scent from this. It's verrry citrussy on the skin, in a slightly off-putting and bitter way. I think I can smell some ginger or jasmine under there, and it just doesn't seem to mix well with the other notes. This settles pretty well. I get a mixture of grapefruit, neroli, jasmine, and ginger, but it's still a bit too cleanser-y and dries kind of soapy. And then when it completely dries it's almost straight soap. Wah. My skin just gobbled it up! I can see how this might work well on other people, but unfortunately not for me.

In the imp this smells like...apricot and clove *shock* Who would have guessed? I don't get much of that jam smell to be honest. I think of jam as more sugary the clove makes this more spicy. Mmm, on my skin the clove really pops! I don't know how to describe it other than, as I said before...apricot and clove Or maybe I should say clove and apricot, because the clove edges out the apricot just a bit in terms of dominance. My skin seems to REALLY amp the clove! Yep. Clove. Clove clove clove and a leetle bit of apricot! Bummer! This is a really neat blend, it just doesn't work for me. I like clove, but not that much I wanted jam!

In the imp this is apple. Straight apple. Almost frighteningly red apple. Very juicy. Maybe just a tiny hint of something more ominous underneath the shiny red exterior. It stays pretty much the same on initial application, but those faint whiffs of darkness (the opium and hemlock I presume) become a little stronger as the blend dries. I actually thought the opium and hemlock and oleander might ruin the blend for me, but I actually think they give it a lovely complexity that make it more interesting than simply apple. I don't think of apple as a "sexy" scent, but this is a very sexy blend in my opinion! Unfortunately, when it completely dries, the apple is completely lost and I'll I am left with is the poison! Boo! How disappointing! This blend really shines in the wet on skin phase as it dries down. It's a fun olfactory experience, being tempted by the apple, taking that delicious first bite, feeling woozy and intoxicated by the poisons within the apple, and then falling completely prey to this devilish and unpleasant poison! I'm glad I tried it, but will be swapping the imp to someone else so they can share in the experience

In the bottle, the apple blossom is the strongest note, with just a hint of citrus. It's clean and crisp, but still with an undeniable femininity. There's also some kind of weird sour undertone that thankfully disappears completely once the oil is on my skin. To be honest, the smell from the bottle just does not do this perfume justice at all. It blooms beautifully on the skin. Fresh apple and lemon and champagne grape blended together perfectly. I barely notice the rose to be honest. The lemon balm is not cleanser-y lemon at all. Someone commented in the reviews above that this smelled kind of like shampoo (in a good way); the kind where a lover would want to run his/her fingers through your hair and tell you how beautiful it smelled. I think that is spot on. I am in love with this perfume!

In the imp this is strong vanilla buttercream. Like a heavily iced cream cheese frosting vanilla cupcake! Yum! Whoa, it goes VERY wintergreen on my skin! Weird...I need to wait for this to drydown to see what this is really going to morph into... ...now it's totally vanilla candle with just a little hint of the wintergreen. It seems to have settled into Vanilla Candle scent. Exactly like Vanilla candle. It's nice. I may need a bottle of this, but it didn't blow me away like I had hoped it would. ETA: I did order a bottle of this and I am in love with it. I find it so yummy and comforting. I still think it reminds me of a vanilla candle, but in a good way-in the way that I can walk around and feel like there is an expensive delicious vanilla candle in every room I enter. Wonderful.

Mmmm, this smells soooo good in the imp! It's intoxicating! A sweet fruity floral with just a touch of boozy sake. *swoooon* I spent a year in Japan, so I've been looking for a good scent to remind me of the wonderful time I had. I hope this works with my skin... So far, so good! Wow, this perfume is amazing. Gorgeous. It gets a little sharp while it's drying, but mellows into a wonderful sweetness on full drydown. It is so well blended, you get a little bit of every note, but nothing is overpowering. The beautiful cherry blossom really comes out at the end...pink and fluttering...this is totally going to be a nostalgia scent for me This is a perfect springtime scent. Bottle worthy for sure.

This is the '08 version. In the imp this is musky musky musky...and a little sweet. It's similar on my skin, but a little less sweet and a little more boozy. It's definitely a sexy scent. Maybe a little too sexy! I'm not sure when I would ever wear this without people thinking I'd just come back from some kind of scandalous romp! EDIT: 2011 Version: Wow, back in the day, this was a bit much for me, but now I have seen the light In the bottle, an amalgamation of sexy scents-sweet, boozy, sugary, fruity, musky, incensey-a bit of everything. Same on my skin. Hard to describe. It's like I said-it's a bit of everything-sugary sweet, rich and fruity, devilishly boozy, sexed up musky, and cloaked in a veil of mysterious incense. Sexy AND delicious. I love it!

Yes! Got my decant of this! I'm a Pisces, so I am praying I will love it so I can buy myself a bottle at Will Call this week! The notes aren't really my thing, so I'm a bit worried. In the imp it's quite herbal, but not in an overpowering sense. If it stays soft and muted on my skin then this could be good. If it sharpens up, then I'm in trouble... When I first put it on I get a quick blast of floral-gah! But thankfully that quickly fades down into something more pleasant and the sarsaparilla (I think it is) peeks out. That kind of root beer smell? It's nice! This is quickly growing on me the more it dries! There's none of that sharpness I was afraid of, the florals are calm, and herbal scent isn't overpowering. Ooh, and now I'm getting a bit of mint? I love these complex scents. A little floral, a little herbal, a little minty, and just a hint of sweetness make this a gorgeous perfume. Definitely gonna be getting that bottle

The only fur type scent I've tried is Coyote. Fur scents aren't my thing, but I still enjoyed Coyote very much and would recommend it to someone who wants a good GC fur blend.

Despite smelling a little ashtray-ish in the imp, this all leather. Leather leather leather. Not much else to say about it. It's not for me but I imagine it would smell rather alluring on the right guy or gal.

This scent was not for me. It really felt like an old lady floral to my nose-a Grandma scent. It was almost allll floral. The blend felt very generic unfortunately. It sweetened up as it dried, but not enough for me to like it.

I'm not skilled enough in sniffing to know what all of the notes are in this, but I do think I can notice the geranium and definitely the cedarwood when I give this imp a good ole sniff. I'm pretty sure that Goneril and I are not going to get along... Nope. Nope this is not going to work on me. It's kinda soapy. It wouldn't be terrible, except that...I can't identify what note it is, but that "black-hearted core" is getting to me. Glad I didn't get attached to a discon! Off to the swaps you go!

Ooo! Pretty! At least, it's pretty in the imp! I love the red color! In the imp this smells like a sweet floral/wine mix. A little sexy, a little flirty. I have no idea whether this is going to mesh well with my skin chemistry though... Hmm. This smells familiar to me once it's on my skin. What does it remind me of...gah, I can't recall yet. But I like this. It's a little bit spicy, a little bit sweet wine, and a little bit floral, a little fresh and clean. It gets a little spicier as it dries. A nice spicy floral. Yep. I like this. I like it a lot. I don't always do well with florals so I am always thrilled to find one I like. This will be added to my growing list of bottles to buy one day. I can't attest to French Love's voodoo effects though. Gotta try this out again when the boyfriend is nearby and see

I'd heard this scent compared to Lush's Snowcake, so I had high hopes for it because I absolutely adore Snowcake and because this seems to be a super popular blend. In the imp it is a verrry sweet, syrupy almond and...something else. I can't put my finger on some note that is kind of bothering me. Hm. That same note is kind of bugging me once the blend is on my skin. There's some synthetic and a little bit like Nail Polish remover(???) that is driving me bonkers. Maybe too much honey? It's not BAD and it smells best when it is fully dry, but it's just not as good as I had hoped. It's like, by the time it starts to smell really good on me, it's almost gone! Honestly, I think that if I am in the mood for an almond scent, I would stick to my Snowcake solid perfume
