Strong and atmospheric this one. And not so sugary as boozy for me. Maybe a skull rolling out of a pub floor with bits of tobacco stuck on it's sticky surface. In any event, it's not frivilous or for the faint hearted.

Loving this like I haven't love a BPAL perfume in a long time. A usual dilemma for me is the fact that my body chemistry eats up scent. But this lovely has lasting power on me. There is something in this one that reminds me of Bess and makes me feel nostalgic. It's a definite warm, emotional scent though with it's berry tones I could see this in summer as well.

Cake batter like alright. But with a rose note being prominent as well. Maybe there are ediable rose petals on the top of this cake? It is strawberry, but an underground strawberry that may have started life in a Haight Asbury head shop. So it doesn't quite feel like a child's cake, but rather a grownups version. The label most unfortunately printed too dark to distinguish the faces. Which might be just as well because photos of children mass distributed can have disatrous results.

Pooey. I am a total foodie and chocoholic so this seemed a natural. But I tell you it's stale brownie and nothing else. I kept using it in the hopes that somehow it would deliver, but it never did. I dislike this one more then almost any other BPAL scent I've used over the years. Stale and dry.

Patchouli is kept at bay by cherry. Nice patchouli, nice boy. I have gone through this bottle. It's one of the atmospheric BPAL scents which creates a mood and perfect for dark and dreary winter days.

As a foodie, I went for this. Buttery and rum strong. Not for the dieter this one. You'll be running for the cookie jar.

I so do not like rose notes but this just seemed intriguing. And it actually is a very delicate, classy scent. One the rose calms down and lets vanilla in the door it's delightful. Think edible rose petals on a wedding cake.

That's a perfect description and I have little to add except to say that All Souls has been a warming influence through the colder weather. And that it has a certain reasonance with the longer nights. Makes it all bearable.

This is to die for and a must have for foodies. I nearly bit my own arm off. What is interesting is the cocoa combines so brilliantly with the amber and creates an almost incensy chocolate symphony. Perfect for Christmas and winter. I will have to reorder another bottle.

Way too spicy for me and how they call it sugar cookie is a mystery. When I think of sugar cookies I think of buttery vanilla creations. Pooey! Another issue is that label. I ordered several of the Yules and unless the picture gives it away you are lost trying to read the miniscule type which to make matters worse is a burgandy/red lettering on a black background. Insane. You said it! It's name is misleading, it should be "spice cookie!"

The stuff actually tingles on the skin, which is refreshing but a bit startling at first. I do like peppermint and I am a sweetie lover, but this one doesn't come off to me as candy as much as a mentholated rubbing oil. Not a hit with me and rather disappointing as I guess I was expecting a bottle of liquid candy.

This lovely concotion suits me to a T! And that's a captial T! I had ordered several of the Yules and was in a delirum with trying them out. The complaint here is the label which you need a high powered microscope to read. So tiny plus they used a burgandy/red ink for the word on a black ground. Someone was drinking to much eggnog in the design department I'd say, so that I wasn't sure which was which and had put Eggnog on not even knowing which one it was. As the day wore on I kept falling in love with it's sweet, comforting notes. Got the microscope out and identified it. This one is for foodies and for winter comfort seekers, not for free flyers who lack sentiment.

Ok, so this was a frimp that I got along with my large Christmas order. I knew nothing of this oul hag, didn't seek her out, conjure her up or anything, but here she is and she's quite the gal. Yes, resinous patchouli is a good description and I like her much to my surprise as generally I am a major foodie. But she's got style, so she does, and she makes an impression that is memorable. So thanks for this one and I will be ordering a bottle.

You and me both. I am now mad for this seasonal triumph and will probably order another bottle to prevent withdrawal symtpoms once this one is gone. I find it a cocoa confection with an admirable restraint which comes off a bit incensy and atmospheric. What a perfect scent for this time of year. it's like Christmas joy and comfort in a bottle. Bravo!

It's brilliant in terms of being a scent creation that embodies the visual of dragon tears. If dragons existed and they cried, I do believe this is what their tears would smell like. So bravo for that achievement. I got it as an imp and I would consider ordering a bottle sometime. It would be a great scent to turn to for some diversity from many of the others I have used.

I'd call it the Red Lollipop Queen, for it seems that it is a queen shaped cherry lollipop of a scent. Reminds me in some ways of Lolita. It's fun, but I got it as an imp and I wouldn't order a bottle.

The first hit is like a wounded dragon! If it could make a sound it would be an ear piercing primal cry. It mellows very quickly though, that top note doesn't linger at all and then it's more of a floral, incensy creature missing some scales.

It's hardly complex. I think people read things into this that aren't there such as caramel. It's a one noter; butterscotch. Unfortunately, it's burnt butterscotch. I ordered a bottle because I am a hardcore foodie and though I like it well enough, it doesn't make my heart sing. And when you first get a whiff the pungency is almost painful. But it does calm down.

That makes two of us. Just as difficult to capture as the fae are, this scent is a beauty but has zero lasting power. Damn shame.

Ah, Bess. Heartbroken and it's spring at Hampton Court. Now way for a Queen to be. This was an imp and it became a bottle. It would not be my usual blend at all, but it's very transporting and in this case the written imagery matches the scent beautifully. That mint hits hard, but once you walk into the sunlight garden there at Court it's a romance that lingers right into the moonlight. Absolutely lovely feminine scent for spring and summer. It's medieval England in it's glory. The right blend to capture that culture and time.

This is a beauty. Got it as an imp and liked it so much I ordered a bottle. And it's not my usual type of scent, as I'm a foodie, but this coconut blend works along those lines for me. It's extremely subtle and has an effect I don't often get with these oils, which is that it is there almost like a whisper or a memory. It's almost like I can't smell it at a certain point but it's in my brain. Hard to explain but trust me on this one. This is a wonderful concoction for intimacy as it's feminine, subtle and haunting.

I ordered a bottle based on the description as well as the positive reactions posted. It landed today and burrowed right in nicely. It's a dark fellow that you warm to as he calms down. I think he's just defensive to start with, then shows his tame side and coconutty spirit. I'm going to get him a little hat and teach him some pub songs. He's talented.
