This one is very.... baked goods/powdered sugar on my skin. I feel like I would love to eat something like this, but it doesn't really fit in right on my skin.
-
Bubblegum! I am getting major bubblegum from this scent! I think that it is just the combination of fruit and sugar, but this scent turns into instant Bubbleyum.
After a bit, I smell something a bit citrusy with a bite. Ouch!
Sadly this one is a major no on my skin.
-
On my skin, the chocolate disappears almost instantly and I am left with a sickly sweetness that must be the tobacco and the black musk. Or it might just be the black musk. Whoa!! It is insane!!
I am not sure yet if I like this one. I think that I will keep it around a bit and test it to see what happens.
-ETA- I just had to try this one again, and still no luck. The black musk/tobacco combo just turns so sickly sweet and smokey on my skin.

'07 version
Eek! Bubblegum plums? The plum part is so strong though that this scent is giving me a major headache....
Definitely not for me.
-
This blend on me was a very astringent citrus. It really didn't work on me at all...
-
On the skin: A sweet, yet slightly fruity floral honey. A strange combo, very different than the honey florals of Flower Moon. This blend kinda confuses me. I am not sure why, but I just keep thinking: Honey...? Yes, but something else.... Plum? Definitely yes, but smells kinda sickly sweet with the honey.... Rose? That must be it! Floral!
Wow, it really is a mix of all these. Crazy! My nose just doesn't know what to think! Or what it's smelling....
Later, this blend loses the strange honey scent and becomes pure plum and floral. Not too bad, but something in this scent just keeps making me go: Wha?!?!
-
On the skin: Ginger ale!! This smells exactly like ginger ale on my skin!
A bit later, I get a huge burst of burning. Smells like ginger ale that has been left on the stove waaaaaaay too long.
I am afraid that I can't stand burning scents.....
-
On the skin: Cucumber and woods! Quite interesting. Definitely very earthy and kinda summery.
Later on: Whoa, this starts to smell like a salad. Yep, a tasty salad.
My skin does strange things with this scent....
-
On the skin: Cocoa with hint of woods and smoke.
After a bit, the smoke takes over on my skin and it is difficult for me to smell anything else. Sadly, this one is heading to swaps.
-
Hello, mint! And something that smells like burning... Ouch.... I am afraid that this makes me think of one of those smokers that pops peppermints all the time to try and mask the smoke smell.
I am afraid that my skin made this scent go kinda crazy and that it is definitely going to swaps.

On the skin: Oh, I should have read the reviews before putting this on my skin. Those are some major nuts in here. Smells like cookies with nuts and maybe a little cherries...
I am afraid that I can't do nut scents at all...
-
On the skin: Whoa, I am getting some major soap! That is all I can smell....
-
Something herbally and woodsy. I think there might be something minty and pineish as well, but it is very faint. It also kind of smells like there is some kind of nut in here as well.
I am not sure what to think about this one...
-
On the skin: Whoa! So sweet! Whoa, that is honey! And sugar? And some sort of.... slight incensey note?
Interesting... I think I am liking this one!
-
On the skin: Some spice that reminds me of clove as well as frankincense. And definitely some orange. Reminds me of Zenobia (or Osiris v4?!?) with a splash of orange.
After a bit, the woods/clove part take a bitter turn (that never happened on me with Zenobia and Osiris...)
Very bitter. I am not sure what to think about this one.... Evil skin chemistry.
-EDIT- Oh! The bitter goes away after a bit and now the sweet orange and lovely woods are just AMAZING! Might keep this one around after all.
-
On the skin: Very clean with a hint of some fruit... pear? Definitely something fizzy as well. Ooooh! And a sweetness that reminds me of honey!
I would love to have the drink version of this! Pretty good! Crazy!
-EDIT- I forgot to mention that I am not so sure about this one on my skin. It smells kinda good, but I don't think I would ever wear it.

SNAKE OIL SOAP
A blend of exotic Indonesian oils sugared with vanilla.
The soap: absolutely smooth, sheer, silken lather enriched with milky kaolin and flecked with blackened vanilla bean.
Oh, wow!! I just got a new bar of Snake Oil soap hidden in with my Inquisition goodies and I hope that there is going to be a major release of the Trading Post soaps with an update soon!! Pictures below:
First of all, the smell is amazing!! I opened up the package and put the bar on the ledge in my shower to await my next showering session. Anyways, every time I walk down the hallway or near the bathroom I can smell lovely Snake Oil wafting out the door. Sooooooooo good!
Compared to Snake Oil the perfume, it is almost exactly identical! There is a slight hint of a soap/clean smell, but since this is a bar of soap I am not surprised.
I haven't used it yet, but the smell is amazing! I am considering cutting it up into bits and distributing it around the house to make the place smell fantastic...
-EDIT- Well, I have used it now (lots) and I have to say that this soap is amazingly good! There are little bits in the soap that make it slightly (very slightly) scrubby. Also, the scent is strong enough, that it stays attached to my skin for quite awhile after showering! Normal amount of lather too. This Snake Oil is a bit different than the perfume, but it is amazing and definitely captures the same vanilla yumminess of the perfume!
The bar has managed to last me a bit since I put it away from my SO's eye line... My preciousssssssss! -
I bought a bottle of Hermia unsniffed when that scent when live, I thought it sounded so goodAnd I think the description of your bright-orange imp sounds much more like my bottle. There's a lot of pink pepper in it, which is spicy and sweet - I can't say that it actually goes so far as to smell like cake to me, but still, much closer to that description than to the way you describe the second imp. I think it is fairly rare that something actually gets mislabeled at the lab, but between the naturally sourced ingredients and the way aging affects the perfumes (especially bottles vs. imps) the batch variations can seem really drastic sometimes.
Oh my!! If this is true then I NEED to add a bottle to my next order. Mmmm! So good!
I guess it probably was a batch variation. Here's hoping that I get the bright orange batch.... *crosses fingers*

My post reviewing different imps of Hermia:
Okay, I have two different imps of Hermia and both are extremely different in color. I don't think it is because of aging, since I received both imps around the same time..... Anyways, on to the reviews.
Bright Orange imp: On my skin this smells very..... cakey? A spicy yet slightly floral and sweet cake. Very tasty. Sooooooo good! Doesn't seem to morph much. I am seriously liking this one.
Light yellow, almost clear imp: Whoa! Honeysuckle and bubblegum? Completely different than the one above.
I have a feeling that the second imp is the actual Hermia. I wish I knew what the other one was though because it is seriously amazing.
-
Whoa! I definitely get intense ozone and mint from this one. Kinda makes my head ache.
There is really no morphing with this one. It is straight ozone and mint on me from application to drydown... Not my kind of thing.
-
On the skin: Wow! A lovely, sweet, feminine perfume! Definitely floral, but there is something else here (the myrrh?) that gives this perfume DEPTH! Soooooo lovely and intoxicating! It can be a bit strong, so I would suggest dabbing a bit on rather than slathering.
Overall, I really like this one and will need to test it again on its own!

This was actually one of my first favorite BPAL scents (in addition to Phantom Queen), but unlike Phantom Queen, I never purchased a bottle of the Unicorn.
On the skin: So light and clean! It still smells quite good as I remember, but my tastes have really changed since then (more than 2 years ago). It is pleasant, but I am not sure if it is bottle worthy anymore. It is so wispy and clean while I now lean towards more heavy incense spice and foody types.
It is a clean, just out of the shower scent that is quite nice, but I don't think I will need any more than the imp I have.
-
Oh, my!! Why have I never tried this one??
On the skin: I immediately smell a yummy pumpkin and nutmeg. Not much else. Such a pumpkin spice scent!!
After a bit, the pumpkin fades.... Noooooooooo! Still, there are such yummy spices on my skin, that I am not too heartbroken. I am definitely smelling some clove now as well.
Sooooo glad right now that I am swapping for a bottle of this.... Yum!

At first on my skin, this reminds me of the Girl Scout Thin Mints cookies. Not sure where the hint of chocolate is coming from, but it is almost a perfect duplicate.... Crazy!
Eeeek! After only a minute or so, this scent turns quite plasticky on my skin. Nooooo! Why, vanilla, why??
After a bit longer, the plastic fades and I am left with a pure mint chocolate that is really more mint now than chocolate. This scent intrigues me, but sniffing the mint so much is giving me a bit of a headache. Will have to see how it lasts in the long run.
*EDIT* Hee hee! I just read through a few other reviews and am glad to see that I am not the only one who smelled Thin Mints. Girl Scout Cookies FTW!
*EDIT2* Sadly, this one turns kinda icky after a half hour or so.....
