That is some strawberry! I can smell a bit of pepper, but it is mostly strawberry. In fact, I smell none of the white chocolate.
-
I had high hopes for this one! I always look at green tea scents and hope that they smell like a green tea latte.... *sigh* So, this is kind of weird because this scent smells like lime. Lime green fruit loops.
-
This smells like suntan lotion with a bit of weird wood. Very strange and light. Doesn't actually smell like much to me...
-
Cranberry, thyme, teakwood, mint, cedar, tobacco flower, and red currant.
Quite tart. Eeek. I knew this one wouldn't be one of my favorites. There were too many notes that just wouldn't work for me....
Huh, the tartness goes away pretty quickly and now it is nice and sweet. More of a berry sweetness than candy sweetness. Crazy! Normally the red currant goes incredibly awry on me!
Huh, I don't think I would wear this one too much, but it smells better than I first thought! -
Tonka, benzoin, black sandalwood, and nutmeg.
On the skin: Slightly sweet, yet.... dry. There is something here though, that doesn't smell quite right. I might have to try this again because I feel like I should love this scent. -
Whoa that is some leather! Very very manly leather! I am afraid that this kind of leather is too strong for me...
-
A sweet vanilla floral. I wonder how the vanilla will age... Very light, but I like it!

On the skin: This scent is kind of green. And musky. It isn't as sweet as I thought it would be...
-
This has a plastic/clay tinge. Very strange. Then it becomes a light floral. I don't really like this one at all...
-
Huh, this smells very manly to me with a creamy yet cologne like quality. I think I can smell some frankincense and something herbalish which must be the orris root.
-
Tart yet earthy. Smells like bad wine. Icky.
Whoa! Suddenly it turns very sweet. Must be the blood note? Sweet blood note with an earthy undertone. Definitely not for me.
-
Mmmmmm, I can smell the Snake Oil! Honey rarely works on me, but this smells pretty good! In fact, it smells just like Snake Oil... Not too much variation. Turns a bit more powdery on me than normal Snake Oil, but I am really liking it!!
-
On the skin: A honeyed rose with another strange sweetness in the background that kinda puts me off... I think I need to try this one on again...

Smut

I know I tried an earlier version of Smut early on in my experimentation with BPAL blends. I can't remember for the life of me what it smelled like, but I do remember that I didn't like it. Tastes have changed though these past two years, so here goes...
On the skin: Root beer! Yummy yummy root beer!! Whoa! Now it is bubblegum! Huh.... A musky bubblegum. Later the bubblegum fades, and now I think I am just smelling musk. Loads and loads of musk. I am on the fence about this one.
-
On the skin: Apple mostly with a floral hint. Huh, I like this one! After a bit, the florals threaten to turn sour.... It is a beautiful scent, but the florals overwhelm too much. The apple has pretty much disappeared. Very feminine!
-
On the skin: Orange! A lovely, floral, feminine orange! Soooooo wonderful! I don't know if I would actually wear this too often, but it is truly a beautiful scent! So keeping this one!! The amber doesn't turn to powder at all, which is amazingly wonderful! Might have to actually stock up on this one. A real surprise!

On the skin: Whoa that is strong! Loads of patchouli and juniper! Kinda comforting actually. It makes me think of the times when I was a kid and I would hide in these tall juniper trees belonging to the neighbors. Very outdoorsy. This is a very friendly juniper. I think I need to keep this! Mmmmmm! I can't stop smelling it!
-
On the skin: Oh, no. Soap. It smells like soap at first, but now it smells like orange blossom! Nice! There is a slightly aquatic hint that must be the ambergris. Huh, not liking this one anymore. I am getting a strong blast of coconut. Eeep.
-
On the skin: Yep, chocolate and lime. Huh, the chocolate smells kinda stale. Not really liking this one.

On the skin: Heeeeeeeeelllloooo pepper! Oh! And then a bit later I can slightly smell the honey. Wow, very peppery. Kinda starting to give me a headache.
-
On the skin: Huh, very faint. I almost can't smell anything.... Slight floral with something almost metallic? Very hard to tell because I really can't smell a thing.
In the bottle: Had to go back to the bottle to make sure there is something to smell... but even in the bottle I can't smell much. It is kinda like trying to smell a glass of water.
-
On the skin: Whoa! That is some major cardamom! This is very very strong. A very true to life cardamom. Later I start to smell some of the chocolate. I am not sure if I like this one..... The cardamom is actually too strong for me. Ah, well.
-
On the skin: Eeeew! Just as the description states! Very.... mildewy. Ick...
-
On the skin: Whoa that is some whiskey and chocolate! This one smells so yummy!! I am really liking it! Instead of a biting alcohol, this is very smooth and tasty!

To me, this one smells a lot like Midway... The vanilla is fabulous and clings to my skin for a long time! I am not sure why, but unlike Detestable Putrescense I get no plastic. Wheeeee! I held off getting a bottle of it because I thought it would turn to plastic, but it didn't!! Mmmmmm!
