    Hermes Trimegistus v2

Unreleased prototype, no scent description given. Google says that Hermes Trismegistus (Greek: Ἑρμῆς ὁ Τρισμέγιστος, "thrice-great Hermes"; Latin: Mercurius ter Maximus) is the representation of the combination of the Greek god Hermes and the Egyptian god Thoth. In Hellenistic Egypt, the Greeks recognised the congruence of their God Hermes with the Egyptian god Thoth. Subsequently the two gods were worshiped as one in what had been the Temple of Thoth in Khemnu, which the Greeks called Hermopolis. When I first smelled this at DD, my nose was getting pretty tired and smelled vaguely woody and incense like. Now that I have come home and was able to take my time and sniff with a refreshed nose, I am getting lavender with maybe a little vanilla and sandalwood.

    Switch Witch Fall 2015 Q&A

Pumpkin? Please don't buy me all of the pumpkin spice things like twinkies/kisses/m&m's, etc. I won't drink PSL's from SBUX because the ingredient list is a horror show. I *do* like the Pumpkin Pie Almonds from World Market, pumpkin pie, pumpkin cheesecake, pumpkin soups, etc. (Panera has a really tasty seasonal soup plus they scored an A on having good ingredients and no antibiotics in their meat, etc., I might be eating there more often if I can afford it. They use real pumpkin in their PSL too, I might have to try one.) I love Teavana's Pumpkin Spice Brulee tea but I'm totally set on that. I normally don't like pumpkins for decorating in the house either since I loathe orange but Violetchaos had a cute white pumpkin with a black face drawn on it that I kept wanting to steal and I have seen decorative pumpkins at Target and Joanns that aren't horrible (black and white or black and purple.) But really I have no place to set stuff like that right now. We do carve actual pumpkins every year if we can. The other half is supposed to be gone until November this year so I might be doing any corn mazes and pumpkin carving by myself. Booze: I'm all about the vodka, rum, baileys, flavored liquors, tawny port, and mead mead mead mead mead mead mead. and ice wine. Buttery Nipples are one of my favorite drinks. And Lemon Drops. I've made my own amaretto and kahlua and such. I should try infusing some vodka - rose and lavender would be interesting to me. Oh, I do like hard cider. I usually get the Ace's Hard Pumpkin Cider from World Market. The Angry Orchard crisp and cinnful (sinnful?) apple cider is ok too but not my favorite. I like the sweet meads and ciders (should be obvious since I am also an ice wine/port fan) and not dry ones. Kthx. (There is a cider place by my parents called Twilight Cider Works that I have a few bottles from. The last one is a peach. Nom nom! And I live not too far from sky river meadery but I find most of their things to be so-so. There are some more meaderies that have opened up that are farther north than I feel like going by myself but maybe when I have money and my mom is visiting since most of my friends either have kids or seem unable to do anything without their other half.) Want anything from Yellowstone? Be it postcards, key chains, shot glasses, pint glasses, or huckleberry what have you? I'm not really a trinket person. Washington is overloaded with Huckleberry stuff too (especially the Spokane area where my parents live) so I'm probably good on that. A postcard? I know there is a question about "decorating style", but if you're comfortable, could you should us some photos of your spaces? For those of us who like to art and craft, it can be nice to have a visual sense of decorating style! I am not comfortable showing photos of my spaces. I sold my beautiful house and my other half sold his as well and we moved in to the mother-in-law apartment of his dad's house after his mom passed. This place hasn't been updated since the 60's as far as I can tell. The carpet is orange, beige, yellow squares in the basement (my space) with wood paneling on the walls and the upstairs has orange carpet. BoyFlame's father has since passed away so we have started updating the house but it is going VERY slowly as my other half is out of town most of the year for business. We've pretty much gotten as far as painting all of the walls with killz (except the wood paneled areas) and painting the kitchen, upstairs bedrooms, and downstairs bedroom. But the downstairs bathroom and floors need a lot of work!! It's humiliating for me to have people visit because I am so ashamed of the floors. If I had my way, I would have grey or purple leaning white walls and a dark grey purple or grey carpet. I have black furniture (table, couches) and a grey granite and black computer desk. I do have some antiques that are a medium brown wood color that I do not especially like. But I'm not going to change them because antiques. I have a nice grey/black marble top bistro table with a black iron base and matching chairs. I have grey "black out" curtains with light purple gauzy curtains under them. Royal purple velvet duvet cover and another purple silk one. A few Nightmare Before Christmas comforters and sheet sheets. (yes, I'm 12.) Tons of gargoyles, which are all a nice stone grey color. So basically you're looking at minimal white, grey, black, and some purple. I like blues and dark reds too but am not drawn to them as much. Our bedroom, however, has blue and silver walls because blue is supposed to help you sleep better. (Purple is bad for bedrooms because it causes too much brain activity or something, say the "experts." So much for my purple sheets and duvet covers!) My kitchen is painted a dark wine color and I have a skeleton/skull theme (skeleton bone apron, skull and NMBC cookie jars, bone shaped silverware, skull wine toppers, skeleton hand salad tongs, etc.) I have a bunch of stuff from World Market on my pinterest that is inexpensive and would go well with my kitchen. I always try to go to Target at Halloween to buy some of the pyrex round bowls w/lids that have bats on them. BATS! Here is some of my artwork that I have yet to put on the walls but will soon. You probably can't tell from the small photo, but the one with the crow has a cthulhu-esque creature in the mists behind the crow. The purple alien one has a lot of eyeballs and tentacles (on the frame too! This is the original oil painting by this artist; she sells prints of this painting on her etsy site.) I got it because of the tentacles and purple/blue. The horse is very steampunk. I grew up with horses (showing and gaming) and am a horse freak. The purple and blue tribal dragon was given to my son for his birthday although I originally bought it for me. (MY COLORS!) The wavy color line ones are also original paintings that were done by my friend Wendi Dunlap. For those of you who don't drink alcohol, can you specify if you live with any drinkers or ever have alcohol on hand for guests, vs. abstaining and preferring not to have it around at all? I drink alcohol. Are you a fan of the TV show Penny Dreadful? Meh. I've watched a few episodes but couldn't get into it. What are your coffee and tea preferences? Do you prefer one, the other, both, or neither (and if it's neither, what about things like hot cider and cocoa)? Loose leaf or bags, whole bean or ground? Is caffeine OK? Any gadgetry you're in need of? Any brands or flavors that you particularly love, loathe, or want to try? I used to work for a coffee/tea company (for 8 years!!) but now I am unemployed due to my health, weep. I drink both - I start with coffee in the morning and switch to tea in the afternoon and evening. I make coffee in a variety of ways - I have a burr grinder, so I like whole bean. I use the toddy system to make cold brew, sometimes french press if I'm feeling awake (HA HA this rarely happens), and if I'm really lazy I use my verismo. If I'm SUPER lazy I just buy the cold brew at the grocery store and pour it into my cup... (that is what I'm having right now - some chocolate Stumptown.) I'm not picky about roasts if it's something that tastes good. Some coffees are better for cold brew, others for french press. Please NO DECAF. I do like cider and cocoa but I'm super picky on ingredients. I prefer drinking chocolate but I rarely make it because the process is so lengthy and time consuming. Prefer loose leaf but I'll do tea bags if something isn't available loose leaf. (Loose leaf tea is generally a higher quality.) I really prefer organic but I'll take Whittard, Mariage Frères, Dammann Frères, etc. There are tons on my Amazon edibles wishlist and on Pinterest. Would love to try more Davids tea. Please do not send me Adagio, I have tried multiple times and it just seems bland and boring to me. I prefer black and flavored black. Sometimes flavored green or jasmine. I have an insane love for licorice mint tissanes, like Aveda's comforting tea or Yogi's egyptian licorice mint. What's your sense of humor like? Do you enjoy puns? Play on words? Dirty humor? Dry humor? Who are some of your favorite comedians? I read Christopher Moore. I enjoy puns but I'm not super punny myself. I have the mind of a dirty 12 year old. I'm so dry that most people don't either get my jokes or realize I'm joking. (I don't watch comedians though, so no idea.) Do you like board games? If so, which ones? Traditional or more unique? (like Settlers of Catan, Small World, Red Dragon Inn, etc) I'm slowly collecting CAH (I join the Holiday Bullshit every year) and it might be fun to have exploding kittens, but the problem is that you need people to play games with and I'm really isolated being both aspergers and having chronic pain and respiratory issues. I don't go places very often and people are too busy to come over here (plus I hate having company - see the paragraph about my house being gross.) So... yeah. I'd really love to go on the JoJoCruise and play games. And I need to learn Magic again. Maybe I could get a job at Wizards of the Coast since they're like 15 minutes away. I do always lust after things like Nightmare Before Christmas monopoly editions and such but they would never get used. It's not like I'm going to have more kids ever (my son is 25 and doesn't live here! I gave him all of my RPG stuff. Cyberpunk, Shadowrun, Paranoia, AD&D, Vampire the Masquerade, etc. books. And an edition of Talisman because I like torturing people.) Is there anything that you specifically do NOT want to receive? - Bars of soap or solid soap of any sort (I only use solid soap to wash my hands in ONE bathroom and we use liquid soap everywhere else. I use shower gels or scrubs in the shower. Plus I make soap - so I have boxes and boxes of unused soap that I just can't use fast enough. And people are always always giving me soap bars so I have a couple boxes of Lush, Villainess, Paintbox Soapworks, and other soap too. Sigh. The exception would be cold or hot process soap that you made yourself, like Yewberry's soap. But please no melt & pour or other bar soap. - Scarves. I'm a knitter and people are always giving me scarves! No! Stop! I have 5,000! I seriously don't have room for them all and have started donating them. - Hats. I don't wear any kind of hat except a news boy type cap. - Halloween decor like ghosts, witches, orange pumpkins, spiders, black cats. (Bats, skulls, ravens, gargoyles, skeletons, etc. are good - I never put them away.) - Baked goods with walnuts. I hate walnuts. Sorry!!! I really just don't like nuts in baked things as a rule - it's a texture thing. - Key Chains - Lanyards - Coffee mugs (unless it's on a wishlist. I have so many coffee mugs that I have to double stack them. I have more packed away out in the shed.) - makeup or nail polish - I feel picky now but I don't want people to waste postage, time, and effort on things I'll probably donate or give away. HOWEVER, if something that I said I didn't want is on a wishlist, be sure I would like to receive it. What? I'm inconsistent. Plain or fun socks? As long as they're black or black & (color) striping, they should be ok. I prefer thicker over thinner. Would love hand knitted socks. My measurements are linked in my Ravelry profile. Name one (or as many as you would like) thing you would like to learn more about? I'd like to go back to school but I don't have any money, so I need to learn more about applying for grants. (There is no way I'll do a loan that I have to pay back for the rest of my life.) But that isn't really a fun switch witch sort of thing. I'd like to do more needle felting, cross stitch (except I'm going blind), etc. I need to learn how to make stitch markers. And expand my soap making repertoire. What one thing you would like to do more of? exercise. horse back riding. cooking. (obviously I can't count.) What are some things that fascinate you? Or, What would you like to know more about? I'm fascinated by ... um... video games? I love to go to renn faires except they are usually too hot, too crowded, and getting too commercial so as I get older and fatter the appeal lessens more and more. Would you like any cookie butter (just to be clear, store-bought, not home-made, and does contain wheat since it's, y'know, cookie butter)? hells no. Nasty. *shudder* Is there any particular piece (or pieces) of art (painting, photograph, etc) that speaks to you in some way? Most art that I'm interested in is linked in the "art" area of my etsy favorites or on pinterest (or both.) Too many things speak to me. (I'm a weeper and I cry at the drop of a hat over sad, happy, anything.) What kinds of things would you like from the Lilith BPAL or BPTP update (or are you joining a decant circle?) From BPTP I am interested in hearing reviews of En Garde (I don't like rum scents, so it depends on how overpowering the rum is.) Looks like I'm doing a decant circle that will include most of the Liliths other than the BPTP ones, so I'm probably set. Do you want to received knit or crocheted items? If so, could you describe or even link to a couple of items similar to what you would like to receive? I'm not a fan of crocheted items unless they are amigurumi or an afghan. I do like knitted items but as I said earlier, no hats or scarves please. You can see the items I love in my Ravelry Favorites. Unfortunately there are quite a few there for inspiration, not that I want people to make for me. I'll try to go through and make some bundles of "things you can make for me" - I do have a bunch already tagged Vamp Swap for a vampire swap I'm in. I also have yarn in there that I would like to get my hands on... What thing do you want to do (or get) but you keep putting off for one reason or another? Go back to school, exercise, knit more, cook, go through all of my BPAL and cull the herd, etc. I've been avoiding the world and playing video games. Would you like anything from Lush? I always like things from Lush (except bars of soap, ha ha!) Unfortunately most of the stuff I want is expensive. I could use more Greased Lightning, I like the green solid sugar scrub. I rarely hardly ever take baths so would prefer no bath bombs or bubble bars. No massage bars either please. Or their lip balm or scrub. (I'm such a curmudgeon!) Love the dusting power and would like to try the vanilla one but also love the Silky Underwear. I have Lush stuff on my Amazon bath and beauty wish list. Oooh the Lord of Misrule is something I've wanted to try! Added to Amazon list. Do you prefer hand-made or store-bought? It depends on the thing and on how good the person making it is... There are some things that are just better when purchased and other things that are totally better when hand-made. SPICY! Scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being "oh, that's a bit too much black pepper for me" and 10 being "ghost pepper? scorpion pepper? I laugh at these! I love as much heat as you can throw my way!" Where are you? I prefer things with a lot of flavor but not necessarily a lot of heat. Green tobasco sauce for example. Tangy and savory. I usually get my thai and indian food "mild" or "one star". I can probably do 50,000-100,000 on the scoville scale but I usually prefer more like 5,000-50,000. What is your BPAL "Holy Grail"? Well, to me "Holy Grail" means something unobtainable, so I'd have to say Formula 54 or Pumpkin King. Analog or Digital? Or Both? I usually buy cds and rip them if I want to add them to my ipod. Sometimes I'll buy single songs if there is a sale or something. What scents from other perfume companies are you really wanting to have in your collection and or are just really wanting to test? Companies like NAVA, Arcana, Solstice Scents, Possets, Haus of Gloi etc.....? All of this info is in my "SW Help" link in my signature. I do NOT like possets. I don't like most Haus of Gloi stuff because it seems like almost all of it contains either foody, fruit or floral and my favorite scents are resins, musks, spices. I like really good vanilla scents but nothing there has caught my eye. If it has, I have added it to my wish list. I have some Solstice Scents, NAVA, Mara Fox Love Potions, etc. and I really don't like most of them. I do like Arcana and I have a good amount of things on my wishlist. The number one Arcana I would like is Queen Crossbones. I love the Arcana hand cream too. I like Cocoa Pink's shampoo (especially the Princess Poo), their scrubs and their extremely huge list of vanilla type scents. And their marshmallow is glorious. I love Villainess but again I have a hard time finding something I REALLY like because of the fruit/floral aspect. I like decadence. I love the smacks and am out of my rose/vanilla layered one (2x rose, 2x vanilla bean.) I would LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE more Moonalisa items in Bohemian Velvet. I had the shower gel and it's gonnnnne. I need more!! (I still have potion lotion and I don't really like it, so please no potion lotion.) I find the Moonalisa lip balm to be too oily as well; I feel like it needs more beeswax and a heavier butter. I've had things from violette market and was meh about them. Do you have an affinity for any specific animals? I like most animals but I especially love bats, ravens, pit bulls, horses (especially friesians and andalusians/lusitanos) and ferrets. I've owned rats too and mine were super sweet but I don't love vermin rats or rats in general. Just pet rats. I've always wanted a pocket pig (a real one, please don't send me pig figurines or stuffed pigs because those are not my thing. I want a real actual pet pig. But not enough to encourage backyard breeding, pig mills, or fad breeding by purchasing one.) Also I would prefer not to be sent rubber bats, rats, or little feathered ravens because people have beat you to that about 500 times. ) One of my most precious possessions is a little amigurumi black and white pit bull that looks like Miss Lela, who passed away this year in July at 18 years old. I also love whales and dolphins. As for mythical creatures, I love equine ones of all sorts but especially the hippocampus. Kitchen Needs or Wants? Too many to list. I have a whole section on my amazon list devoted to this category. My kitchen has a skull/skeleton theme. I have bone shaped silverware, skull cookie jars and salt/pepper shakers, skeleton arm salad tongs, skull bottle stopper, skull bottle opener, skeleton apron, etc. And NMBC cookie jars, cannisters, mugs, and bowls. (I would love more NMBC bowls/plates.) I'm pretty set on coffee mugs (I have so many that I have two huge boxes packed up and stored and the rest are scattered between the upstairs and downstairs kitchen, stacked two high, and I still don't have room for them all, seriously, don't get me mugs.) Things I'd like off the top of my head are the skull themed measuring spoons and measuring cups from world market, I think those are pretty inexpensive. I also can not have too many pyrex bowls (with lids) that have bats on them. I try to buy some every halloween. Sorry, I know I answered this under decorating style too - I'm in so many swaps right now that I can't keep track of which questions I have answered in which swaps. Makeup! Do you like it, would you want some? If so what brands do you like to wear? I wear prescriptives brand foundation and powder. Stila eyeliner (it's the only one I've found that doesn't run or disappear, I have very oily skin.) I could use some new moisturizers but most of the ones I want are really expensive. I don't actually wear makeup that much; if I'm just going to the store I'll do my eyebrows and eyeliner. If I'm going somewhere fancy or a club, I'll do full face. Usually I don't even leave the house so I do nothing except moisturize. Chocolate fiends ahoy! What kind of chocolate do you like? Do you like any other things in it or just plain good ole chocolate? I like creamy dark and milk chocolate. I'm kind of a chocolate snob but I've found relatively inexpensive alternatives. I love the Vosges Naga bar (I think they've changed the name to indonesian curry and coconut or something much harder to say), Moonstruck salted caramel nut bars, most things from Fran's (especially the chocolate covered salted caramels), imported cadbury crunchies and curly whirly, Dolfin bars (flavors are on my Amazon edibles wishlist), some of the World Market brand sea salt bars (the curry and the coconut), trufflepig peanut butter truffle bars, etc. I don't like Chocolove. I'm not super crazy about Seattle's Chocolates but the San Juan Sea Salt bar is ok. I can eat the Trader Joes peanut butter & jelly bar. Rittersport with hazelnuts or almonds are ok in a pinch. Milka (if imported) is ok. Nothing from Hersheys/Nestle/etc. please. (I do stoop to eating peanut or almond M&M's occasionally. The horror!) Would you be opposed to receiving a ton of Halloween themed items? No, not really opposed. I buy lots of Halloween themed items and I don't ever take them down - skulls, gargoyles, tombstones, bats, ravens, purple lights, etc. As I mentioned earlier though, no black cats, spiders, ghosts, zombies, witches, orange pumpkins, etc. There are some cool dog and raven skeletons at World Market / Target, and a cute sugar skull type dog statue at Target that I am eyeing. (all inexpensive.) Would you be interested in any special little thing I might be able to pick up from the Great Lakes Bat Festival this Saturday? Both Janell Cannon (author of Stellaluna and other kids' books) and Fiona Reid (illustrator for lots of animal field guides) will be there, so would you possibly be interested in something like an autographed copy of Stellaluna or one of Cannon's or Reid's other books? Or something from the Organization for Bat Conservation, like a shirt or other swag? Yes to hoodie, stickers, bag. No to other apparel or swag. What items from the Weenie update interest you, should you have to option of getting anything as a gift from your Witch??? Would you be ok with decants, or bottles? OMG. DOOMED. EDIT: NEVER MIND, I AM DOING A DECANT CIRCLE. BUT I LEFT MY NOTES HERE SO YOU CAN SEE WHAT I LIKE/DON'T LIKE. Heres what Im interested in. HA HA HA. Good thing these are available until after christmas? Maybe I can sell a kidney? Samhain (of course) Second Spring Drifting leaves tinted in the bold reds of pomegranate and currant, the golds of amber and honey, russet myrrh, a touch of cypress-green, and crisp patchouli-brown. (iffy on the fruits and depends on how heavy the leaves are, but amber, honey, myrrh, patchouli are all win.) The Unquiet Grave Frozen white roses, frankincense, white gardenia, white sandalwood, and vanilla orchid. (iffy on the gardenia.) Dead Leaves and Tobacco Dead Leaves, Bourbon Vanilla, and Myrrh Dead Leaves, Frankincense, and Copal Dead Leaves, Honey, and Oudh Dead Leaves, Red Musk, and Neroli (I seriously just want to dump all of these dead leaves into the same bottle.) Not all that crazy about apple but would like to sniff these: Apple I Apple with hay absolute, oats, honey, cream vanilla, and goats milk accord. Apple III Appalachian black apple with sweet tobacco and patchouli, orange blossom, vanilla champaca, lavender, and white honey. (Freaking orange blossom will ruin it for me but hope springs eternal.) Apple IV Red apple with blackcurrant bud, black clove, and vanilla bourbon. (I love all of these notes except apple, which I only like - not love.) Candied Apple Clown White Polyester Spiderweb (just to see what they smell like.) A Phantasmagoria: Scene Conjuring Up an Armed Skeleton Wig powder, amber-perfumed leather gloves, and rose petals with a sliver of oak bark and cauldron smoke. (wig powder? everything else is a huge yes.) A Witch Riding on a Dragon Blackened tonka, patchouli, dragons blood resin, and scorched oak. (depends on HOW scorched the oak is.) Départ Pour Le Sabbat (Aufbruch Zum Hexensabbat) Bourbon vanilla, sweet red patchouli, oudh, goats milk accord, and white honey. (win!) Liebeszauber Honey, rose petals, and carnations a drop of blood red clover, cubeb berries, and vanilla cream. (more win!) The Magic Circle Vanilla-infused frankincense and clary sage with 7-year aged patchouli, jasmine sambac, honey myrtle, and oudh. (all win, except maybe the jasmine and myrtle.) The Sorceress An evocation incense of frankincense, styrax, lavender buds, mastic, and white sandalwood mingled with moonflower, violet absolute, tuberose, and dark musk. (violet absolute, you would try to ruin it.) The Witches Pumpkin cream, honey, vanilla sugar, and smoked vanilla bean. (depends on how overpowering the pumpkin is.) The Witches Sabbath Burgundy and champaca resin with immortelle, leather accord, wine-soaked red fruits, rose geranium petals, red patchouli, guttering candles, and smoke. (yes!) La Femme de Satan Red musk and cacao with clove, caramelized tobacco, aged patchouli, red currant, black leather, and vanilla-infused amber. (depends on how juicy red the currant is and how overpowering the cacao.) La Ronde du Sabbat Oman frankincense, black clove, and tobacco tar. (yes!) Pan Twardowski and the Devil Brown leather, bay leaf, tobacco leaf, lavender, and oudh. (yes!) Portrait of an Unidentified Man as Mephistopheles A debonair lavender fougere cloaked in smoky red musk, red mandarin, and oakmoss. (yes!) Satan Starting from the Touch of Ithuriels Spear Golden amber, carnation, blackcurrant, aged black patchouli, red musk, and vetiver. (hm, vetiver could kill it.) Satan Summoning His Legions White leather and cypress-tinged white musk with cardamom, smouldering incense, Ceylon cinnamon and white sandalwood. (cypress might ruin it) What's your favorite scary movie? Or movies, either way. If you don't like horror, what are your favorite movies to watch this time of year? During the fall I usually try to watch Practical Magic, Sleepy Hollow, Nightmare Before Christmas, Bram Stoker's Dracula, Lost Boys, Sweeney Todd (who am I kidding, I watch that ALL YEAR LONG), Harry Potter movies (also all year long), Addams Family, Sean of the Dead, Corpse Bride, Coraline, Edward Scissorhands, The Crow. I'd really like to watch the Phantom of the Opera with Gerard Butler. You know, I don't think I've ever seen Young Frankenstein. I've seen Beetlejuice once (michael keaton bothers me in that.) I should really expand my Halloween selection. This fall I'm DVR'ing a lot of TV shows... Gotham, Doctor Who, Scream Queens, Agents of SHIELD, Minority Report, The Muppets, How to Get Away with Murder, Heroes Reborn, Ash vs The Evil Dead, Limitless, Grimm, Sleepy Hollow, American Horror Story: Hotel, The Walking Dead, The Flash, ... I'd watch The Vampire Diaries except that I missed the last season and I don't think I have enough space to DVR the whole thing and keep everything else. I still need to catch up on Gotham, The 100, and a few other shows that I gave up on. (Totally gave up on Once Upon a Time.) This is really weird for me because I don't normally watch TV at all and I prefer to marathon shows. Edit: NO MORE DVR, too expensive. so I guess I'll have to try to watch them real time or later on demand. Blu-ray or DVD? I don't have a blu-ray player or game system with blu-ray, so it's DVD. Game systems - console or computer? Mac/PC? Which console? I have a wii (but need to upgrade because it keeps freezing on netflix), an xbox 360 (rarely gets used but sometimes I use it for netflix when I can get a live subscription from some of my friends that work at Microsoft - except that it lives upstairs and I live downstairs.) Mostly PC (some of the games I play are only available on windows but I'm a UNIX girl at heart.) I prefer Skyrim and Diablo on the PC because the controls on the xbox are too wonky. Are you dressing up for Halloween and if so do you need any accessories for if? Don't know if I'll dress up but I'm thinking I need a Weeping Angel outfit. I have pinned how to do greyscale makeup but I'm lazy so if I did it, probably a mask. And maybe the greyscale on my hands and neck. I need wings and a grey dress/robe/thing/gown. Not that I would expect anyone to get them because I'd have to try on the dress and wings are a bit cumbersome to ship and probably expensive (or detailed in the making, or both.) Talk to me about bags, what kinds do you like? Sizes and styles? Don't use purses. My mom makes cool upsized bags from feed bags and sells them on etsy. She also makes felted ones. And project bags for knitting. I'm pretty set on bags. Not that I would be upset if I received more cool bags for grocery shopping (although I have like 50 of them, seriously, my other half keeps taking them out of my car because they take up the whole back seat - I have some really nice canvas-y type ones from Whole Foods, Trader Joes, Metro Market, QFC, etc. as well as the cheapo ones from trade shows with various logos.) I love drawstring project bags big enough for a decent size project and would never say no to ones with cool fabric (Princess Bride, Doctor Who, Game of Thrones, etc.) I can always use decent sized backpacks or messenger bags too, I think I pinned some. I also have some bags on my Think Geek wishlist like the new black handbag of holding (I would use it for knitting supplies.) What are your favorite fandoms and do you want to receive anything related to such? Love Firefly, Buffy, NMBC, LOTR/Hobbit, Harry Potter, Doctor Who, Grimm, Game of Thrones, Princess Bride, Zelda, Terry Pratchett, Neil Gaiman (especially Delirium and Death, but the Endless in general - I named all of the machines on my network after them), etc. I love receiving useful things with such themes such as what I've already mentioned or things such as what I have on my pinterest, etsy and amazon wishlists. I do prefer things to be useful over merely decorative but other than that, I'm sure there are tons of things out that that I'm unaware of! It's funny, I don't wear a lot of jewelry but I do find myself wanting the "Godsend" symbol from Heroes, the "Key" from Grimm, etc. I would totally hang those in my car or wear them occasionally. I'm thinking I might just need more tattoos instead. BUT WOULD I REGRET IT LATER? I have a lot of fandom related knitting patterns and some knitting books. Something I forgot to put in my initial answers on the application: I have been collecting charms for a "pandora" style bracelet. I have a tardis and a weeping angel. I would LOVE to receive charms related to my favorite fandoms!! And I need the bracelet part too, ha ha! (I can't seem to add JUST the bracelet to my Think Geek wishlist, which is where I got the charms.) What are you planning to order from the Weenies update? I'm running a circle so I will hopefully be able to smell everything before I decide what I'm ordering. The Last Huzzah of the NY Renaissance Faire happens this weekend and I'm going! Is there anything you might want? (Besides a turkey leg, which won't ship well!) Honey root beer and birch beer won't ship well either... (well, we have a vendor who does those at our local ren faires anyway. I always bring home a couple of bottles.) I forgot to get mead this year. I'm always up for mead!!! Do you like comics or graphic novels? Any issues or collections you want to read? Any that I'm interested in are on my Amazon wish list. I do prioritize things as well. Please don't get me anything that is marked LOW or LOWEST (unless you get a super good deal on it; those are there for my benefit so I can find them used someday maybe.) Off the top of my head, I would love the illustrated versions of Princess Bride and Stardust. And The Last Unicorn comics. I'm sure I have a ton of Sandman things on there too. Do you like fanfic? Would you like a story written for you as part of your gift? What characters/fandoms/pairings etc do you like? I'm not really into fanfic. Would Witchees like something from IKEA? (Or any other not always accessible by everyone store?) I have an Ikea locally but I'm always on the lookout for 9 drawer FIRA boxes. (they're discontinued, weep.) I also have a Trader Joes. The things not accessible that I'm probably most interested in are will call pick up for special will call only type stuff. If/when you go to the mall, for which store(s) do you beeline? I don't go to the mall unless I need something specific and then I beeline to that store... Usually only things like Torrid, Hot Topic, Sephora, Teavana, Lush, Nordstrom, Origins, B&BW, Yankee Candle. Do you receive any subscription boxes (julep, lootcrate, ipsy, birchbox, etc.)? No. I really kind of want the Bark Box for the dogs and the Loot Crate for me. Do you like tarts/candles/incense? If so, what type of scents? Yes to tarts and candles (but not tealights - I love votives, pillars, jars, etc. I think I mentioned that I could use some ritual candles as well but maybe that was another swap since I'm in three active ones right now), no to incense. Yes to wall plug ins (the refills from B&BW) and to oil burner oils. Anything on my extensive favorite scents is good for candles/tarts - I just updated my wish list and profile so that they matched. I added dislikes to my wishlist. For candles I don't mind fruity but I still tend to go for vanilla, spiced vanilla, buttercream, marshmallow, woody, smoky, resiny, spicy, foresty, rose, lavender, sandalwood-vanilla, sandalwood-coconut, witches brew (yankee candle) and I'd LOVE try the new halloween yankee candle scent. It was sold out online. I do the wall plug ins from B&BW (Wall flowers?) but I only have one plug in. I could use another just plain one. I love the electric tart burner that Tarty is selling on her site, Paintbox Soapworks. Is there anything you wish you could have picked up from the Dragon*Con exclusives? I joined Deek's decant circle and have not received any of my items yet, so I can't say which ones I'd want. Is there a GC you've been dying to try but haven't got around to yet? Well there aren't a whole lot I haven't received an imp of at one time or another, but I would like a bottle of Goblin (it's out of stock right now.) There are quite a few I'd like to have decants or imps of, those are on my wishlist (see signature.) The questionnaire asked about gold & silver jewelry, but how do you feel about copper jewelry? Do you like colorful jewelry, or do you prefer to keep it neutral? No copper or bronze or anything other than stainless steel or sterling silver. I've tried colored titanium jewelry and those made me break out and the color flaked off, so either they weren't really titanium (just painted) or I'm allergic to that too. I have a lot of jewelry type things on my etsy jewelry category so you can get an idea of what I like but honestly I almost never wear jewelry. I really need some new stud earrings but they really need long posts because my stupid lobes are so thick. We asked about decorating style, but are you interested in receiving decorations for your home? Are you interested in things that go on the wall or things that go on shelves? I love gargoyles/grotesques (that hang on walls) and wall sconces but I don't need any knick knacks. Super cool magnets would be ok. Huge throw pillows (I use them as lap desks), lap blankets. I do have a huge selection of things for the Home on my Amazon wishlist (one of the ones on the side called Furniture and Home. There are a ton of halloween decor type things on there that I would like of like that are knick knacks. ha!) Office supplies hound? Pens, pencils, journals, any preference, or favorites? I can't write very well so I prefer not to receive any type of journal or writing implements please. Talk to me about socks! Is there anything, dear, dear Witchee, that I can get for you from Sock Dreams? Anything from another place? meh. I think I talked about this in the previous question about fun or plain socks. I have huge feet, muscular calves, and fat thighs so I feel like a lot of stuff never fits. I'll go look at Sock Dreams and if there is anything that catches my eye I'll use the universal amazon wishlist deal and they will be saved to my "wearables" list. I wouldn't mind receiving hand knitted socks - my measurements are all linked to my ravelry profile. I live near a huuuuge candy store. What kind of candy do you like? Gummies? Caramel? Chocolate? Sour? Sugar-free? Most of the candy type things I'm interested in are either pinned to my Pinterest (Eat Me board) or on my Amazon wishlist (Edibles section.) edit: and on my etsy food favorites. How do you feel about animal products? Not so much animal toys or food, but more like furs, paws, bones, etc. I kind of have mixed feelings about this as we have raised animals for food and we try to use all of the parts if possible (rabbits, chickens, turkeys, steers, goats.) I own fur (inherited), leather jackets, belts, shoes, etc. I have a huge bag of buckskin that is from my grandfather. It's super buttery soft and I need to figure out what to make with it. It's mostly scraps but maybe enough for shoes/gloves/hat (although not really what I'd want to make.) How do you feel about "toys" - stuffed animals and the like? I like amigurumi (crocheted toys) or small knitted toys but in reality I don't have much room for anything like that and it's possible that they would be eviscerated if my dogs got a hold of them while I was not looking. Did you see the eclipse last night? How do you feel about astrological events, like eclipses? Any interest in the Blood Moon Eclipse scent from BPAL? I saw bits of it but didn't sit outside and watch the whole thing. I kept checking on it though. Shared some photos from my family and friends on facebook. My other half, R, goes back to California tomorrow after being home for a week and my brother's birthday is going to happen while R is out of town (R will be gone until November) so we took brother out for birthday dinner. Love astrological events and how it's easier to keep track of them through BPAL... Someone might have already ordered the Blood Moon scent since she had some PayPal balance from selling other BPAL. Thinkingshe might order the lunacy too after seeing reviews on how awesome it was. Witchee's, how tall are you? And perhaps, what's your arm span (from wrist to wrist)? Um, I'm about 5'6" and arm span is approximately 57" if I'm measuring it myself like I would for a shawl. (I like my shawls and wraps much longer than that if this pertains at all.) How do you feel about the 4 elements? Or are you more of an Asian 5 elements person? Do you feel strongly about any of the elements, like a connection or a preference? Um, I'm not really into the elements per se? My zodiac sign, Virgo, is earth. I'm a Metal Dog on the lunar zodiac calendar (Autumn and night time are definitely mine, I match up pretty well there. People describe me as "hypervigilant". But I also meet a lot of the virgo things.) I've never felt super close to earth, more to water. And the animals I like best were supposed created by Poseidon (horses! hippocampus!) How do you feel about bento boxes? Is it something you would use if you were to get one? No thank you! Scarves, shawls or cowls? Mittens, gloves, fingerless mitts or wristlets? No scarves or cowls please. I don't like triangular shaped shawls - I like long skinny crescent or boomerang shawlettes, circular shawls or wraps/stoles. No mittens or gloves. I wear fingerless mitts. I have all kinds of things in a "make for me" bundle under my ravelry favorites. how do you feel about online classes? Like, say, craftsy or creativebug? Or even lynda.com? I don't really like online classes, sorry! Too much back and tail bone pain! What do we want from Paintbox Soapworks? (or their etsy site.) Pretty much the only thing I would want are the sorbettos and/or tarts -- unless she gets more of the heavy goat milk body cream in a jar in lavender honey. (No slip, that doesn't work for my skin.) Oh, and the tart warmer. I will say that I have am NOT short on scrubs - I have about 10+ in my closet to still use, and a have a few boxes of tarts, so these are super NOT a priority. Would like to try scents of tarts/sorbettos in: - Afternoons + Eiderdowns - Candyfloss - The Englishman - Halcyon - Libby and Lavender - Smoky Jack - Whiskers If I were to make you some art, would you prefer a frame that hangs or one that sits? And what color/style would you prefer? I don't have any room for anything that sits so hang it is! I like black or silver frames. Not sure about style, usually boring. *wink* How do you feel about gourmet marshmallows? Meh. I'm not a huge fan of marshmallows except for the scent in Cocoa Pink stuff. *wink* I don't mind them on drinking chocolate or in smores but I prefer the vegan style. Although "fudge" made with the marshmallow creme is pretty good. Are you a slatherer or a dabber? depends on the scent. I would say more in between. Talk to me, dear witchies, about tea. I know we've covered this a little, but I really need the nitty gritty here- not just companies you like and don't like (Teavana? Adagio? David's? Some tiny place?) but I also want to know the other stuff: top 3 flavors, loose or bagged, the kinds of tea accessories you use- or have always wanted. Be specific. Provide links if necessary. I have already said that I prefer loose leaf tea as that is generally higher quality. I listed companies I like/don't like. Prefer stainless steel, glass or ceramic over plastic accessories. I'm trying to do away with any plastic things I have that are food making or storage related. I don't like "tea ball" infusers, I prefer this kind. I also have an ingenuitea (but ugh plastic) and a glass pot with a plastic infuser (which I never use the infuser part of, because plastic.) The glass pot is great for "blooming" tea though. I have a Tardis (chrome colored) teapot and metal infuser but they are brand new, purchased during a huge sale, and I might gift them to someone else in a swap at some point. Never opened, sitting in my storage area. I would love a cast iron pot but I worry about the quality of the ones from World Market since they have a big warning that you are not supposed to actually use them on a burner or get them hot (maybe the paint quality is really bad?) The top three blends I would like to try are all on my Amazon edibles wishlist - Whittards 1886 blend (and a few other Whittard blends, all available from Annies Tea Time in California), Butterscotch from Mariage Freres, and anything on my list from Damman Freres (unfortunately I don't know where you can get Mariage or Damman in the US anymore. The Tea Cup here in Seattle used to carry them before going out of business.) Villainess is putting out brand new stuff for the first time in a while (as opposed to bringing back former lines). Sooo.... who wants it? Way ahead of you. I already added to my Pinterest. How does everyone feel about duct tape crafts? Any favorite patterns? No thank you! Are there any flowers you especially like? Mostly extremely fragrant flowers. Roses (especially blue and black ones. Grandiflora, floribunda, rugosa, whatever. Love Potion, Sterling Silver, Taboo, Purple Tiger, etc. The more fragrant the better. I had over 50 bushes before I moved.) Stargazer Lilies. Lavender (I used to have 11 varieties before I moved.) Chocolate cosmos is fun. Scented geraniums. Gardenias except it isn't humid enough here so mine never bloom. Jasmine of all sorts. I have mostly herbs and things for bees/butterflies in my little tiny container garden - Bee balm, salvia, many varieties of mint, sage, basil, oregano, lavender, thyme, lemon verbena, etc. Would you be interested in any cozies or cases (yarn o fabric, not hard cases) for tech stuff (phone, laptop' etc) or for cups/mugs/bottles or anything else similar. No thank you, I've already made all of the ones I need. Would you like Halloween or Day of the Dead themed ornaments or a "bunting"? No buntings or ornaments. I don't have room for knick knacks or hanging banners/bunting/ornaments. I do like day of the dead themed things as you can probably tell by my Pinterest (I KNOW, they're in my Halloween group, but it's named that because of NMBC! I know they're not Halloween stuffs! *hangs head*) Are there witchees who would like book related gifts like a booklight, bookmark, bookseat or something for your reading gadget, like a cover or a light for example. Please no bookmarks. I don't use them and I keep getting them gifted to me. I seriously have a box of bookmarks (metal, laminated, paper, with yarn, ribbons, beads, etc.) I mostly use my ipad for reading these days. So I don't need a light or anything. (I have a huge ott lamp right above my couch area that I use to knit so if I'm reading a hard copy book, I just use that.) I make handmade journals, mini albums and similar items. Would my witchee be interested in something like that? I think I already mentioned that I do not want any journals or paper items or recipe cards or notebooks or pens or pencils or ... sorry! can't write! sucks! What songs/music/artists/CD's do you like to listen to around Halloween? It doesn't really ever change for me. I'm lucky if I ever change the cd in my car since I don't carry my huge book with me. Sometimes I remember. Usually not. In which case it's radio or sometimes I'll plug my phone in. But I lost my itunes hdd and haven't bothered trying to recover it yet (I'm thinking maybe it was the computer that died - system board - and not the hdd but I'm just too unmotivated to look into it. I haven't even bothered hooked up my new printer that has been sitting here in a box for months. So, um, long story short, I haven't loaded any new music on my phone in ages either. And I'm too lazy to bring my ipod unless I'm going on a long trip although nowadays I'll just listen to an audio book on audible. Are you interested in leg warmers at all? No. Is your Halloween style scary, cutesy, folksy, grotesque . . .? Sugar skulls, skulls, skeletons, bats, gravestones, gargoyles/grotesques. But this is normal for all year, it isn't halloween specific... We carve pumpkins. I have an actual coffin out in the shed that sometimes we use for decor in the front yard but the past 5-6 years we haven't done anything. So I would say more Gothy. Definitely not folksy. I'm all black, silver, purple or red. None of this orange/brown autumn crap. *wink* But not really cutesy or scary. I mean, I like cutesy cthulhu stuff (pink! stuffed!) but other people might consider that sinister. I bought the Portal board game last week & it came with a Portal 2 steam free download code. I already have the game on another console & it's one of my favorite series of all time. Soooo, would you want it? I have not played Portal. Would it work as a steam download for my PC? I think the only steam game I currently play is Skyrim. But I would be interested in trying it! Have you read The Martian? Or do you plan on watching the movie? Other half is out of town so no movies for me in theatre. Maybe we will see if when he is back but most likely will wait until available on redbox and I have a free rental code. Not really my type of book to read either. NaNo: Pertaining to that, how does everyone feel about such things? Will anyone be participating? How about NaNo swag, is there any you want? No thanks, I loathe writing. I do like reading though! Honey or beeswax products? Discuss. As a beekeeper I love honey! But I am sincerely grossed out by overly processed and contaminated honey that is sold in grocery stores and will only get honey directly from beekeepers. (Honey is one of those things that the FDA doesn't regulate or test and there is a lot of it dumped on our market by other countries because the other country won't allow it to be sold there because of all the poison and chemicals in it! Seriously! Scary shit!) I don't currently have bees; I need to order a queen and drones. But I have the suit and hives and etc. My parents usually have bees on their property and receive honey and honeycomb in exchange. I love ethically sourced beeswax, again preferably directly from the beekeepers. How do you feel about bumper stickers and car magnets? What do you like--cute, pretty, snarky, geeky/fandomy? I have some on both my Amazon and my etsy lists. Would love some Firefly ones! I like fridge magnets too. I'm more snarky geeky fandomy. Do you have any phobia's that your Witch should be aware of? Not especially. acrylic yarn? walmart? lack of coffee? Trading Post Weenies are live! Anything calling to you? I love the skull mug and am lusting over the Goodbye perfume (with the spirit board) and wouldn't say no to the Yes perfume either. But so expensive. I'd kind of like to try the Dead Leaves, Patch, Warm Musk, Honey HG but I'm afraid of the dead leaves note. I'm thinking that October room spray would be nice once in a while, but maybe not nice enough to get a whole bottle of. Speaking of nail things, it that time of year and I am doing my jamberry order, Would you want some Lovely Jamberry's for your nails? I only paint my toenails, so no thank you. The only thing I would put on my fingernails would be strengthener, which I do need. Do you like or want to try Marmite? Isn't that a large squirrel??? (oh, no, wait, that's Marmot!) No thanks, I'm good. I think I can get marmite here at World Market if I so desire. Some folks have already said they do not want used nail polish. If you haven't already chimed in about that... would you be interested in a bottle of BPTP claw polish (in this case, either Event Horizon or Baku) that has been used for one manicure? I have already purchased all of the BPTP polishes I wanted, I think the same day they came out. Are there any DISCONTINUED (not LE) BPAL oils that you wish you had, or had a little more of? Bitch, Grr, and I never got to try Ugh. And of course Loviatar, Black Opal, Antique Lace, De Sade, Blood Countess, March Hare, Yvaine, Fairy Market (the Stardust perfumes were my first purchase in 2007.) Maybe an imp of Tintagel. Is there anything fairly basic that you're always running out of and need to buy more of? I go through the new iphone/ipad cables pretty fast but I get them at Frys for $5 or so. Lighters/matches for candles. (I used to collect matchbooks. I wonder what happened to them all? Probably out in my shed.) Lip balm (but I'm pretty picky on balm and try to get all natural/organic stuffs.) Anything interest you from the recent Blooddrop update? YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS Vanilla Marshmallow Sugar Bar Goodnight Pumpkin Sugar Bar And these sound good too (but I definitely don't need more perfume): Ankou - Dry amber, black musk, soft Autumn spices, Somalian myrrh, labdanum, Bourbon vanilla, and lavender. Elegy - Ceremonial musk, Indian sandalwood, Somalian myrrh, sweetened clove, tea rose, vanilla, and American lavender. Misfortune - Vanilla tea darkened with anise. Pumpkin Musk - Rich pumpkin spices, amber, a blend of black musks, wood notes, myrrh, patchouli, and sweet clementine. Santa Meurte - A beautiful, deep fragrance of warm, red musk, deep labdanum, tobacco, marigold, ginger, sweet davana, and the reddest blood red rose. How to you feel about foreign spices/flavorings? I love them! I would like to cook more thai, indian, greek, etc. So far I've only done Indian and it's pretty easy (and to be honest, we have a lot of international markets and indian specific groceries around so finding spices isn't very tough.) I love different gourmet sugars and salts as well. I need a mortar and pestle for all of my whole spices - I know I have one somewhere but it's packed out in one of the three sheds with the majority of my belongings so kind of in limbo. Dearest Witchee, can I get you anything from Shiro Cosmetics? I'm going to place an order soon and perhaps you are interested in some of their goodies? https://shirocosmetics.com (https://shirocosmetics.com) I don't wear a lot of cosmetics unless we're going out but I added some to my pinterest.

What do bottles and labels look like?

There is a Flickr group for BPAL bottles and I have a ton of older bottles on my Flickr page as well (in my signature) if anyone is so inclined. Unfortunately I have not kept up with new ones because of physical issues but maybe someday.

Unreleased prototype, no scent description given. Cinnabar, derived from Greek kinnabari, is a mineral, mercuric sulfide, occuring in red crystals or masses. Used as a pigment (bright red or vermillion). Also a red resinous juice of a certain Eastern tree, which was believed to be a mixture of dragon's and elephant's blood. A light yellow oil, this one is interesting and very different. It is spicy, like caraway, but not really foody. On the skin, a more medicinal fragrance appears but I can't pin point exactly what. Medium throw.

What do bottles and labels look like?

As long as it doesn't look like this: Because then it would be Alice from the Pretty Deadly line (which are not orderable as frimps but are sometimes put on the cards and given away at conventions.)

    Switch Witch Fall 2014 Q&A

    1. I wonder what a potential witchee would think about being bombarded with PUMPKINS in various formats. Because my current obsession just may last long enough to be of use in spoiling.....but I know wouldn't be appreciated by everyone. Would you appreciate it?!? I like white pumpkins but otherwise I am not very pumpkin oriented. I do love me some pumpkin brulee from Teavana but I haz some and I get a discount. Not all pumpkin teas do it for me, and I'm more of a salted caramel latte girl over pumpkin spice latte anyday. 2. I currently have a CSA and my significant other is perpetually out of town for work, so I've been doing a lot of canning and baking with my vegetables. How do people feel about canned good (pickles, salsa, etc) and vegetal baked goods (squash bread, zucchini bread). YES PLEASE. I love dill pickles and garlic! And salsa! and pumpkin bread! and zucchini bread! I don't like walnuts though. Please no bread with walnuts. 3. Trading Post wants? Yes, yes, I have those. I think I have put them in my wishlist (see signature) but I also have a wishlist on the trading post. 4. What direct sellers do you not like and would prefer not to get things from? And also feel free to list any retail brands you really don't like. I don't like "My Lip Stuff". Ummmm retail brands I'm not sure of enough of them to list what I don't like. I apologize for being super picky but I try to stick to organic type things so I do most of my shopping locally at the co-op or whole foods. 5. How about y'alls coffee and tea preferences? I think I have covered this in other places but please no coffee since I don't make it at home (except in my verismo and very rarely in a french press) unless it's super special that I must make in my french press RIGHT NAO. I love loose leaf top shelf tea - I do mostly black and I love flavored. Occasionally I find an herbal that I love (like the Aveda "tea" -- and the Yogi "Egyptian Licorice Mint" is less expensive and pretty much the same thing except not loose leaf, so I do that one too but I'm usually too cheap to buy it!) I have tons of tea on my Amazon wish list under edibles. I especially love french tea (Mariage Frères and Dammann Frères.) Someone sent me some of the MF "butterscotch" tea and I've been hoarding it ever since. They also sent me some black tea flavored with anise (from Germany) and I'm hoarding that too. 6. Do you cook? Would kitchen accessories make you happy? I don't get to cook that often (except for the dogs, they are fed raw so I have to "cook" for them every day.) But I do have a ton of kitchen accessories on my amazon wishlist under housewares or something. 7. How do people feel about creative endeavours? Would you like to receive one? Or supplies to make your own? What do you like? Drawings, stories, poems? I do like creative endeavors but my wall space is at a premium. I'm kind of meh on stories and poems just because of time constraints. 8. What culture or country (doesn’t have to be modern) do you feel an innate connection with? What about it makes it special to you? I love to read books about the Matter of Britain (arthurian mostly with some holy grail stuffs thrown in - mostly fiction.) I've always loved Scotland, Wales, Ireland, and England. Don't know why, I've never been there. But I also really love celtic knots, especially ravens and epona. And weasels. 9. Is there any sort of art commission you would like: cartoony, pin-up, fantasy, realistic, etc? If so, what subject would you like drawn (a picture of you, a character, a loved one or pet)? I have to admit that I would totally love more photos or paintings of Jake and/or Lela. Jake passed away on May 31st at 12.5 years old. Miss Lela is 16-17 or older (no idea how old exactly since I rescued her as an adult, but she came with vet records dating back to at least 1998) and still going strong although her face is more white than black now. 10. What do you find yourself doing for fun in your free time? What are your main hobbies and interests? I usually read for fun. Or knit while watching tv/movies with the other half (I only watch tv if I'm watching it with him.) If I had a horse, I'd go horseback riding but sadly I do not. I wish I had time to take the new pibble to agility. I'm a fairly solitary person and being an introvert, I need a lot of down time. 11. Table-top gaming? If yes, what kind, edition, etc? Gaming accessories you long for? Haven't done that for years. No time or energy. 12. DVD movies or games that you wish would magically appear in your hands? Can they be used, through Amazon? There are some games I am interested in - the remake of Gabriel Knight (20th anniversary? egads I am old!) and some other GOG.com games that are ancient but have been converted to run easily with DOSbox. (I can do it myself but I am lazy!) (I broke down and bought the Gabriel Knight remake.) 13. What kind of snacks or candy from other countries/states would you like to try? I'm sure there are things from Australia that I haven't tried. Interesting flavors of Tim Tams for example. I love weird flavors of Kit Kats from Japan but no more green tea ones, I can get those here. And I've had chocolate and caramel Tim Tams and don't need more of those. I really love Canon's Sweet Hots (mild/medium) but I can't find them locally. I would eat those on hot dogs and hamburgers because SO GOOD. 14. Do you have a favorite internet meme, character or pop culture fandom? I collect NMBC cookie jars... Nothing else springs to mind. I don't really need ALL the NMBC things (because there are SO.MANY) but when I go to Disneyland I am guilty of shopping in the NMBC shop for sweatshirts, pajamas, bowls, cups, etc. I have salt & pepper shakers and the "nightshade" jar but I missed out on the other kitchen jars like Wormwood. I like functional things. 15. Do you have a Facebook profile (or other social media) that you are comfortable linking to aid your witch in stalking? Please note whether you are willing to add BPALers as friends. Yes, it is linked to the SW social media spreadsheet in my signature. 16. Anybody interested in something from RCCC, whether it's con-exclusive merch or from a particularexhibitor or artist? Not without seeing what they have... but I am a geek so it could be a lot of things. 17. How important to you is regular contact / chatter with your witch? I love hearing from my witch! 18. Do you like puzzles/riddles/treasure hunts and that sort of thing? When I have the time! I used to go geocaching a lot. 19. If you were to receive music, would you want a physical CD or digital versions? Either. I have both a CD player and ipod dock in my car. 20. What’s a current problem/annoyance you have that could be remedied but you haven’t had time to address it? Finding a new job? Getting my health insurance figured out? 21. How do you feel about having some sort of trinket to carry around for good luck/wishes? i.e. a small figurine, symbol, card, coin… Something to hang in my car would probably be better (although I already have a bunch of hanging things in my car. An Ankh, a wire wrapped amethyst pendant to ward off stupid people, a jolly roger air freshener...) I can't carry things at work (except for my chap stick, I would die of chapped lips without it!) and I don't carry a purse. I have a small wallet that I put in my pocket. 22. Are you superstitious about anything? Any things you can't have in your house for that reason--bad associations? Not especially. 23. For the vegetarians and vegans: How do you feel about things (say, marshmallows or gummy candy) made with vegan gelatin or other typically-animal-derived-but-not-in-this-instance products? Not vegetarian or vegan but I do try to avoid GMOs, corn syrup, unnecessary food coloring and dyes, nitrates (BUT SO GOOD), MSG, etc. 24. Ok, so we've covered pumpkin. How do you feel about the other fall classic – apples? I flove honey crisps but otherwise am meh on apples. My mom usually gets honey crisps and dries them for us. 25. Do you have any fabric or skin-contact aversions? Yes, I break out in a rash from many types of metals (except surgical steel and silver) and sometimes perfumes. This can happen with yarn that is next to my skin too so I try to stick to merino silk or merino silk cashmere for skin closeness. 26. How do you feel about Christmas/Yule ornaments? I would love NMBC, unicorn, gargoyle, pibble, or equine type ornaments. I have a blue/purple/silver theme. 27. How do you feel about Hello Kitty, and Hello Kitty accessories (including mugs, cups, etc)? No thanks! 28. If you had a week free where you could learn anything, with no financial restrictions, what would you want to study? Sleep. From behind closed eyelids. Um, seriously though, I'm not sure. Maybe veterinary. Maybe computer networking. If I could go to the UK and study some cool history or to Egypt, I'd be down with that too. 29. Do you enjoy poetry? Who are your favorite poets and what type of subject matter do you like? Not super big into poetry. 30. Would you enjoy receiving something related to a favorite Disney character? NMBC! Jack and Zero are my favorites. 31. How do you feel about cute things as decorations or accessories? (Example: Would you enjoy this stationery - or do you prefer elegant/creepy/neutral stuff?) I am not sure what stationery this is referring to, but I can't write well or very much because my hands are usually swollen up or not working properly, so pencils/pens/stationery is out. 32. What is something you'd really like to recieve from your witch? Please be as specific as possible - no, "Oh whatever she thinks is fine!" I don't like to ask for specific things, y'know? I think that my wishlists are rather extensive already and should give a good picture of the kinds of things I like. 33. Go to your music source of choice - on random or shuffle setting if possible - & share with us the 10 most recent songs/artists. 1. Abney Park - Breathe 2. Emilie Autumn - The Art of Suicide 3. Depeche Mode - Precious 4. The Cure - Lullaby 5. Muse - Super Massive Black Hole 6. Nightwish - Nemo 7. Information Society - Land of the Blind 8. Tori Amos - Crucify 9. Echo And The Bunnymen - Lips Like Sugar 10. AFI - Miss Murder 34. Tarot cards, rune stones and/or other divination tools yay or nay? Rune stones are cool. My son stole mine I think. I have some cool Vampire tarot cards from Yewberry, one of my precious Witches. 35. Do you have a Celeb crush? or someone who you just can't get enough of....other than your SO My SO *IS* a Celeb, so doesn't that count? I generally like people in particular movies or settings and not all across the board. Jamie Campbell Bower is pretty cute though. Way too young for me! But he can sing too! (I'm weird, I probably only like him because he was in Sweeney Todd. I like Johnny Depp too, but mostly in Tim Burton things. I was totally in love with Ewan McGregor in Moulin Rouge.) 36. Glitter? are you okay with it, or hate it like the plague? It's the herpes of the craft world! Keep it away! 37. If there was another time period other than now that described your style/aesthetics, what would it be? Some time when castles and velvets/silks were all the rage. Except I wouldn't want to have to wear a dress and a corset ALL the time. 38. If you had to pick one or two quotes to live by, what would it be and why? “Those who mind don’t matter, and those who matter don’t mind!” (There is some controversy about where this phrase originated.) Winter is Coming. 39. Do you prefer physical books? CD books? eBooks? If eBooks do you have preferred format, kindle/nook/kobo/PDF/ePub/ect? eAudio? I like both physical and kindle (mobi) or if necessary, epub. Lately I've been getting OMG MUST HAVE books in both physical AND kindle. That way my first edition pristine signed books stay nice. 40. Smut! Yes or no? If yes, what kink, er, kind? Sure. BDSM. Ponyplay. 41. Ebooks! Yes or no? Yes, prefer mobi or epub. 42. If you were to get a custom bottle from House of Gloi made for you what notes would create your perfect blend? I would have to go look. I have looked before but have never been inspired to actually purchase. 43. If your witch were to take a photograph (or paint or whatever) of something just for you, what would it be? Landscape? Flower? Critter? Something to illustrate a favorite quote? Jakey Jake? Miss Lela? I really like some of the pit bull art with an inspirational quote on Etsy but they are like a bajillion dollars. It would be cool to have photos of my own dogs with quotes. And of course I can't find those pieces of artwork now that I go look but I managed to add a bunch of other pibble stuff to my list. *facepalm* 44. What is your favorite Halloween animal or other symbol/decoration? Bats, ravens, gargoyles, skulls... 45. Makeup, especially of the indie variety. Nail polish, nail wraps, eyeshadow, lipstick/gloss, etc. Y/N? Specific preferences (color, finish, product, brand, etc.)? I'm not super into makeup (although my other half is) but I am always looking for true waterproof black eyeliner (liquid or stick) -- right now I'm using Kat Von D's INK but it still manages to smudge. I've tried the Stila smudgeproof too but it also smudges. I have really oily skin. 46. How do you feel about profanity and off-color humor? I drop the f bomb constantly. 47. I make hairsticks...would you like/use them? I don't have the slightest idea of how. My head has been shaved on the lower half (back/sides) the majority of my life (longer/blended/asymetrical on the top and teased/spiked a lot. Think Robert Smith-ish.) It's grown out since the fall and I haven't shaved it back off only because I have a bunch of hair gloss and I like sniffing my hair. I suppose I could shave it all off except a long tail and just do hair gloss on that.... 48. Does anyone here LARP? If so, what kind of LARP? And what kind of character do you play? No. I used to play RPG's and we were around and playing when Vampire: The Masquerade first started up with the Camarilla. But I has no time and I'm not that social. One of my BFF's plays every Saturday. I wish I had that kind of social energy. 49. Would you completely freak out if I sent you a chocolate covered scorpion or some other food oddity? This includes things like 'bacon powder' from thinkgeek.com. I would not like these things. 50. This has kind of been covered, but, are you ok with receiving canned jam (from a veteran jammer!) and if so, what flavors would you like and not like? Yes! I like normal-ish flavors. Blackberry, strawberry.. I'm not big on blueberry jam although I like blueberries in general (especially in baking.) I do better with lists instead of having to come up with things (haven't had any coffee yet.) 51. Nail polish! Meaganola kinda covered this above, but I want to ask a little more in depth. Let's talk nail polish. What colors do you love? Hate? Which brands are you dying to try? Have you ever used indies? Do you like glitter? Any textures to avoid (glitter, sand, etc)? I don't wear nail polish, although my other half does. I do wear polish on my toe nails and I really need a nail strengthener for my nails - the sanitizer water at work KILLS my hands and nails. And we're constantly wiping things down with sanitized cloths so my skin is covered with that crap all day. 52. I make little monster plushes, from felt and yarn and buttons. How do you feel about getting a special Halloween plushie? I have a lot of little plushies and while I like them, I really don't have any room to put such things and they are in danger of monkeys killing and eviserating them. But I would probably still take one. 53. I'm in Japan, anything specific you might want from the land of the rising sun? I think I answered this in another swap recently but I'm too lazy to go find my answer right now. I'm good on green tea kit kats since our local asian store carries them often. I can't think of anything, I would need examples since I don't know what is available. 54. Are there any GC scents that you know you love, but for whatever reason, keep putting off buying bottles of? I actually keep a list on my spreadsheet (under tab named "future orders") in case I need a couple of things to round up my order for free shipping. It contains Mr. Prenderghast, Crowley, Aziraphale, Marquis de Carabas, Rat Speakers, The Buggre Alle This Bible, Thieves' Rosin, Rogue, Black Rose, The Ifrit (Gaiman - American Gods) and more Snake Oil. 55. I know not everyone likes Lush products, but if you do, which Lush items would you like to get from your Witch? I have some on my Amazon bath & body stuff wishlist. I am very sad I missed out on the Rose Jam shower gel. I use the Twilight shower gel too but am running out. Unfortunately those are LE things and no longer available. I could use more Silky Underwear. No bath bombs or bubble bars please, I rarely get to take a bath. We have plumbing issues so our shower drains really slowly and gets nasty super quick, so I have to clean the bathrub REALLY well before I will immerse my body in that thing. Showers are different, I only have to clean the bottom of the tub where my feet touch. I like honey scents so I wouldn't be adverse to "It's Raining Men" but I think I have tried a sample and wasn't all OMG MUST HAVE NAO about it. I just bought more Flying Fox so I'm good there. I'll have to go look... but I have tons of Lush stores around me so I can get what I want other than I'm usually broke. 56. Is there anywhere (in the US) that you are dying to get away to? Also when would you be able to get away. Would this even be something you were interested in? If so, go look at the Southwest sale for routes and dates and times. I can usually get away with enough notice. I know the other half wants to go to Las Vegas for SEMA (first week of November) and I have people to stay with in Las Vegas, so that could be fun. I love going to Disneyland in October when the NMBC decor is up. This is super awesome and generous! I'll go look at the SWA site when I am done with birthday shenanigans so it might not be until next week - too much stuffs to do today. 57. If you are ok with receiving t-shirts, what size are you, do you prefer tissue tees, normal crew tees, babydoll etc? My thyroid died in the last year (I personally think I've had thyroid issues my whole life but it was finally bad enough that they started medicating me this spring) so I have gained a TON of weight and really am not interested in t-shirts at this time. Except for the Everyday is Halloween shirt from BPTP. Babydoll, largest possible size. 58. THINKGEEK! Who loves it - do you have a wishlist on there?? What are some things you are jonesing for on there for under $20? I have a wishlist linked under SW Help in my sig. It needs to be updated, sorry. I will try to get around to updating it. 59. Zombies, yes or no? I like watching The Walking Dead but otherwise I am probably a no to zombies. 60. Would you like arm warmers/fingerless gloves? If so, what length? just beyond the wrist, almost to the elbow, full sleeves? I like wrist warmers but I'm a knitter so I have a bunch, and I'm really picky about the yarn used. I like them to be very long over my fingers and then come down about 4-5" past my wrist. 61. Do you feel a particular affinity for a specific animal/s? Like besides pitbulls and horses? Ferrets, ravens, bats, rats, dolphins. 62. Anyone have any Paintbox Soapworks loves? Yep. They have their own section on my etsy favorites. 63. How would you feel if your witch or a minion of your witch showed up in person at your house with goodies? Thrilled? Annoyed? Completely creeped out? I wouldn't be home! I don't answer the door - none of our friends or people we actually know would ever knock on our front door, ever. (They just come straight into the house, most of them have keys. And they don't use the front door. Of course they have to be able to get past the monkey first, who will literally take them out if he doesn't know them. Sometimes even if he does know them; accidents have happened involving foreheads colliding and the human always ends up the worse for wear. The dog is never phazed. Hint: never bend down to pet a Sonic Death Monkey as he is leaping up to kiss you.) So I would probably be annoyed if someone knocked on my front door and it wasn't FedEx or the mailman. I have the UPS guy, Jeremy, trained to bring things to the back door. He is able to ellude the monkey. 64. Do you have a ravelry account? Tell me about your yarn obsessions. Yes, yes I do. I'm misstwilight. I believe it says that in my profile. I am mostly obsessed with indie yarn, especially Tri'Coterie but good luck getting anything directly from them. You might be able to find something in a destash. I also have a large amount of Fresh From the Cauldron on my etsy wishlist. I'm really into semi-solids and gradients right now. Twisted Fiber Arts is another great store, I've been wanted le Cirque and Phantasm for a goodly amount of time. They are really expensive though so I wouldn't expect my Witch to buy such things. $25 is kind of the low end. Malabrigo OTOH is relatively inexpensive and I love it as well. There is a bunch on my Loopy Ewe wishlist which is linked from SW Help. I'd even be up for trying some skeins of Dishie from Knit Picks (I seem to make a lot of dishclothes for BPAL and other swaps) or some of their other yarn for making blankets or toys. 65. Ok, is my witchee as obsessed with sock dreams as I am? Nope. I rarely find anything on their website that I want and their plus size stuff is really limited. 66. Knitted items like scarves, shawls, dishclothes....yay or nay? Favorite fibers? Favorite colors? No scarves please. I'm good with shawls or shawlettes but I prefer long and curved, no traditional triangle shapes. Fav fibers are Merino Cashmere Silk, Merino Silk, Merino, Silk... I like Merino Tencel too. I'm kind of meh on just MCN or cashmere lately. Favorite colors are black, purple, and blurple. 67. Is your Amazon WL up-to-date? yes. 68. If you were to receive handmade caramels, would it matter if they were made with raw cream (unpasteurized)? Nope. ALL THE CARAMELS. 69. Would you enjoy getting a sampling of quality incense taken from various sources? Are there types of incense you know you don't like? Would you want a burner for loose incense and a few charcoals to get you started with that, or would you rather stick to simpler types? I don't burn incense - not because I don't like it, but because I don't want my dogs to have to breathe it and also because my other half is allergic. 70. I know we already had a question about needed kitchen accessories, but what about spices? I can always use fun salts and spices! 71. Would you like handmade stationary or cards? How about a quill pen? I think this was covered already. My right arm (and I'm right handed) is in various states of completely useless numb to pins & needles and problems holding things. I can't write well and wouldn't use stationary or cards. 72. On a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being "gimme that ghost pepper!" and 1 being "oh, that's a bit too much black pepper for me" Where is your heat tolerance? I like mild peppers like jalapenos and chipolte tobasco sauce. I'm not sure where that is on the heat tolerance scale but I'm not into spicy things other than when I have mexican food. Sometimes I like tobasco with my ketchup for grilled cheese or fries. 73. What is your favorite type of Halloween candy? The magical kind that will taste AWESOME and make me lose weight! No? Hm. I actually try to avoid most "grocery store" chocolate but I would still eat kit kats, 100 grand bars, peanut butter cups, etc. I bought some caramel apple milky ways just to see what they tasted like, but I'll be sending the majority of them out in swap packages. 74. Do you need or want any cosy footwear, like fluffy slippers, or slipper socks etc? I could use some more pajama socks I guess; I can't seem to find mine since the other half cleaned the laundry room... 75. What do you most look forward to each Fall? cooler weather! We always go to the corn mazes and get pumpkins. kettle corn! pumpkin sling shot! whee! 76. What gadgets do you use in your everyday life and would you like a cool case for them - with your favourite fandom or artwork or saying? I have an iphone 3... but it stopped charging today so I might have an iphone 6 soon... yes, I'd love a case! Doctor Who or Game of Thrones or NMBC! 77. Are there any beauty accessories you need or would like? For example make-up brushes, facial brushes or eyelash curlers. A really good pair of tweezers with scissor type handles. Ones that actually can grasp a very fine hair. 78. Would you be disappointed to get one big box, or would you prefer a bunch of little ones? And would you be disappointed if your witch actually had it together early and sent it to you sooner than later? I'm good with whatever! 79. Stores are putting out their halloween PJs and undies! Would you be happy to get any in a package? And if so, what size? For PJ pants, do you like cotton or flannel? Unless you're buying men's sizes, don't bother! I've gained so much weight. pout. Last time I bought pj/running pants, I had to go to the men's section because the women's weren't large enough. 80. Do you like M&Ms? In small quantities. I like the peanut ones more which is weird because I don't usually like peanuts themselves. Although I do like peanut butter with honey. So .... YMMV. 81. How about wax melts? Yes! 82. Would you like a subscription for Spotify? Meh? 83. What scents from the Lillith update would you like to try? Too many!!! 84. Would you be interested in receiving a box of sugar cube skulls? I actually have some but I wouldn't say no to more! I think they are on one of my etsy wish lists. 85. Skin care routine? Fave cleanser? Toner? Moisturizer? What about body lotions? Any particular brand or scent? Lip balms? Yay or nay? I was told to only use cetaphil as a cleanser, so that's what I'm using. It's mostly worked, my skin has stopped being all red and breaking out. I've been using various Kiss My Face moisturizers (lavender, honey, patchouli.) I really like the Bobby Brown moisturizers but I can't afford them. I don't currently have a toner but something for oily skin would be nice. I've used the Lush "Greased Lightning" for spot breakouts and it works nicely. I like Prescriptives things - moisturizer and makeup - but I think they're online only these days. I love lip balm but I'm picky about the texture. Haunt is awesome and I have some Better Botanicals on my Amazon wish list. I usually buy my lip balm locally at Whole Foods or the local co-op but Burt's Bees is a little too hard and not buttery enough. 86. Is there anything you would like from Salem MA (mugs, keychains, postcards, etc.or witchy supplies like incense, candles, books)? I always love candles (although I have a HUGE trunk full...) No mugs please, I have about 50000000 mugs. Don't need any keychains. Postcards are always fun! 87. Would you be interested in any of the items in LisaNut's etsy shop? They're all cute but not really my style or colors. 88. Spiders (as in cute knit kind) yes or no? Prefer not. 89. Pillows (the mostly decorative type)? Yes, I always use a "lap pillow" and could use a new one. I love bat pillows and I think I have pillows on my etsy list -- ones with ravens or game of thrones things. 90. Any kind of bags - big, small, medium, purse, grocery, etc? I would never say no to cool project bags, grocery bags, lunch bags, etc. My mom does upcycled grocery bags from dog/cat food and feed, I'm always stealing those. 91. Is there anything special coming up in your life? Not really. 92. Which one scent would you want from each of the following updates: Metamorphosis, Lilith and GC? Metamorphosis: Little Metalmark Lilith: (Not so) Penitent (Mini) Magdalene, Amicitia, or Om Gam Ganapataye Namaha GC: Black Rose 93. Are you interested in anything from NYCC? Yes, but I have a fairy. 94. Would something from the Tokyo Game Show (e.g. postcards, fans) possibly interest you? The what? 95. Would you enjoy any of these couple rings? Or anything from the same store's Halloween collection? I like some of the things but I don't wear a lot of jewelry. Charms that I could use in my knitting would be fun. Some sari wraps would be cool but not orange!! I have some cool couples rings on my etsy wishlists but they are different than this website. 96. If you imbibe at all ... preference between: wine/beer/cocktails and then glassware and/or bar-ware? cocktail gadgetry? Books on the subject/recipes? would you want sample bottles of local/regional/small batch craft spirits if they were home decanted and labeled? cocktails, glassware, sample bottles yes yes yes. gadgetry, sure if it's really cool. books would be ok. 97. Would you like some chai, lemon, rose water or other flavored sugar cubes? chai! rose! yum! 98. Jamberry nail wraps? No, I don't do nail art or paint my nails. My nails are ruined. 99. If you had to choose one currently available book (used-but-obtainable counts if you do used) costing $20 or under for your Witch to buy for you, what would it be? Probably one of the pet remembrance journals from my amazon wish list. 100. Are there five things under $25 at Birchbox you would like? 1. Royal Rose simple syrup in Rose or Cardamom Clove 2. Kusmi Tea Paris - Sweet Love 3. Kusmi Tea Paris - Prince Vladimir 4. Kusmi Tea Paris - Be Cool 5. Løv Organic Metal Tin tea - Love is Good 101. Do you want anything from the Fatherhood update at the Post? A Moment in Time. Maybe "Playing Tag..." 102. Street art! Into it? Not into it? Meh? I have some but I really don't have any good places for art so meh. 103. If you could only pick one note that you love (e.g. Vanilla, Orange, Lavender, Rose) & you could only wear/have perfume, etc in that note, what would it be? Vanilla. 104. What are you interested in from the NYCC exclusive list? I already have a fairy. 105. Most anticipated "Weenie blends? I usually get Samhain because it's one of my favorites. I'm really poor this year though. 106. Caffeine or no? And is this a health or preference? Yes. 107. Are you interested in anything from the MAC Rocky Horror or the e.l.f. Disney Princess make up collections? I'm not into makeup but my other half would love whatever you send. Especially pinks. 108. I pass this shop every day, If you were my witchee would you like a custom chocolate bar? What would you choose? Plain, white or milk and with what? Yum! Probably Milk. Rose, cardamom. or anise, fennel, liquorice... or lavender cardamom. 109. Would you like to try chocolate covered Turkish Delight or flower flavoured things (Rose and Violet chocolates)? I love rose and lavender flavored things but I don't like nuts in things like turkish delight usually. (well, I'd probably be ok with almonds or pecans but I hate walnuts.) 110. For those of you who like Fantasy or play Dungeons and Dragons... would you be interested in a custom painted miniature? If so, what gender, race and class? Any preferences for a theme, color scheme, preferred weapons/armor, etc? Specific character description you would want me to try to hit? No thanks! 111. Are there any local or national charities that are close to your heart that you know would appreciate a donation in your name? Some actual pibble rescue places. 112. I have two partial (Backup) bottles of some scents on your wishlist, Witchee. However, the labels aren't perfect, due to a tragic imp explosion. Would you still be ok with getting them? Sure! 113. Do you like incense? Or are you more of a fan of essential oil aromatherapy/fragrance oils a la Yankee Candle/B&BW? Or all of the above? What scents do you prefer for those kinds of things? Nag champa? Lemongrass EO for the house? PUMPKIN SPICE EERYTHANG. What companies do you like specifically (if any) - links? I like incense but I don't burn it because other half is allergic and I don't want dogs to be forced to breathe it. I don't really use oil burner scents that often unless they are super natural (aveda, origins.) Essential oils basically. I love rose but of course rose absolute is worth its weight in gold. Patchouli, vanilla, sandalwood. Sometimes fir/pine. The other half doesn't like foodie scents very much. 114. Trading Post Weenies are up!! What's everyone interested in? All of the atmosphere sprays, some of the hair glosses... oi. 115. My mom has crocheted a bunch of little witch hats, would this be something you are interested in? This was my question, I already have one! 116. Are you interested in anything from my mom's Etsy shop? This was my question. I already get tons of things from her shop. 117. Are you interested in dried honey crisp apples or italian prunes? This was my question. I'm already getting some. 118. Do you need any travel mugs, coffee mugs, tea makers, rock sugar, coffee or tea syrups, etc? This was my question. Nope, I works there.

    Attraction Conjure-Style Spray

I splurged and bought Attraction and Fast Luck sprays. I told my other half to go out and spray the monster truck with them; had super bad luck last year - he went to Argentina and never was fully paid, and we've had a lot of breakage. Because our truck didn't get home and through customs until June, we missed first quarter which is the most lucrative. So struggling a lot!! And no shows on the horizon so no money coming in! Anyway, after using the sprays we immediately got a couple of shows finally, and then got booked for four shows in a row so now we're actually busy. It makes me want to get some better business and other oils too but we're not out of the woods quite yet and.. Well.. Must have dragoncon scents! Hopefully we'll get some more shows in September, october, and November, then have money to rebuilt the truck in december. I won't know first quarter schedule until oct/nov, but hope we didn't burn any bridges by being gone so long...

What do bottles and labels look like?

Hm, I can't believe I didn't buy it last year... I have 2004, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010. 2011, and 2013.... *scratches head* I think last year was too lean to buy much bpal or something. I can take a photo of 2013 at least. But really, the label looks exactly like the photo that BPAL has on their site next to Snow White.

What do bottles and labels look like?

Mine do that every once in a while too. They just snap back into place normally.

    Copper v1

Unreleased prototype, no scent description given. From the bottle, this is a citrus (at first I thought orange, then lemon) and metallic blend. On my skin, the citrus comes to the fore and is very tart. Today I thought lemon, then lime! Unfortunately it didn't last very long but I also only put on a teeny amount. Will test further with a heavier amount.

    What Scent Is This?

Do you have a photo so we can all make humorous guesses? The thing that came to mind for me was Temple Viper. Snake Oil with sugar cane, frankincense, champaca, opoponax, labdanum, and hyssop. But Snake Oil is pretty easy to spot. Is it possible the first word is Tanuki?

  15. twilighteyes

    My Switch O'Ween Q&A

SWITCH WITCH HELP <--- clickie Hey, Witchee, it's getting cold. Socks, scarves, hats or arm warmers? Socks and wrist warmers. I only wear page boy type hats and I have like 500 scarves so PLEASE GOD NO SCARVES. (Unless they're silk or can be used as a table runner or something.) Wraps, yes. Love wraps. As far as knitted items go be aware that my skin is really uber sensitive (probably from wearing so much perfume; I get contact dermatitis at the drop of a hat) so please only buttery soft merino, silk, cashmere, or a combo. No acrylic or scratchy wool. My feet aren't as sensitive so bfl or merino are both fine (some nylon content in socks is excellent.) Halloween Candy, Decorations, and Costume supplies - What kind are your idea of FUN and which ones would you thoroughly dislike? Decorations yes! But no ghosts, pumpkins, or witches... I love bats, gargoyles, ravens, skulls and I decorate all year round with those. I'm super picky about my chocolate and candy... but maybe reese's peanut butter cups would be ok. I've been craving chocolate and peanut butter lately. (I'd really prefer Newman's peanut butter cups but I don't think they make halloween bags of candy? I try to stick to organic/fair trade.) As far as costume supplies, I'd love a nice weeping angel mask and wings... and something to make my skin weeping angel color. I saw that Hot Topic had nasty plastic weeping angel masks but I'd love a full head one. In case you're crafty and know how to make masks. WHAT traditions to you partake in for Halloween? Knowing what you do our how you decorate or how you celebrate? We usually dress up in our (normal to us) fetish type gear and go out. It's the only night of the year that the other half feels comfortable being in "public" while dressed up like a pony. Yeah, probably TMI, but you asked. Are you a fan of anything that you would like a tshirt of? If so, what size would you wear? I usually only wear babydoll type shirts in XXXL or XXL if they're stretchy. I love Nightmare Before Christmas, Doctor Who, Game of Thrones, etc. and I would wear shirts for all of the above. I have a lot of shirts on my Amazon and Think Geek wishlists. Edit: and Firefly, but I don't like brown (which sucks!) so no brown shirts. I prefer black, grey, or dark purple. Do you love, hate, or are indifferent to.....pumpkin flavored things? Usually I'm not super crazy about pumpkin flavored things in general, but I LOVE pumpkin bread and pumpkin chocolate chip cookies. I've been known to have the occasional Pumpkin Spice Latte but I don't HAVE to have one. And right now Teavana has an oolong tea that is FANTASTIC -- Pumpkin Spice Brulee. I bought some last week and I've already emptied the bag. But I get 30% off at Teavana so unless you also get a discount then it would make more sense to send me a GC instead of buying me something. Name some DVDs you wouldnt mind receiving, or are they on an Amazon list? I think my Amazon DVD list is private because I don't usually buy DVD's new... And I'd like to get a PS3 / blu-ray player, our dvd player upstairs just died so now we have to watch dvd's downstairs. Our tv's are ancient so they don't work with most blu-ray players. And a new tv just isn't in our budget or a priority right now because the dishwasher ALSO stopped working (it's been a bad month, everything electrical is breaking except for (knock on wood) our computers, and ...yeah. The other half is leaving for Argentina a week from today and won't be back until late December. So his pay for doing shows in Argentina won't be home until he comes home. He's supposed to get a partial advance soon and I have to budget all of the bills from it and my future pay checks, so things are going to be lean around here. I might have to sell a bunch of bpal and yarn in order to buy new fun bpal and bptp things. Sorry, ketchup burst there. Things that I would like that I don't have yet * Much Ado About Nothing (Joss Whedon version) * The Year Without a Santa Claus / Nestor, The Long-Eared Christmas Donkey / Rudolph's Shiny New Year * The Original Television Christmas Classics (Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer/Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town/Frosty the Snowman/Frosty Returns/The Little Drummer Boy/Cricket on the Hearth) * Joe Versus the Volcano * Donnie Darko: The Director's Cut (Two-Disc Special Edition) Dear future Witchee, did you get anything from the Beaver Moon or Weenie updates that I need to know about, so I don't accidentally repeat anything? Not yet!! We're totally broke and I think my credit card doesn't have any room on it for anything else. gulp. But I *WANT* both of the BM's (AHAHAHA, what, I'm 12) and the single note. So I will probably attempt to find some way to order them. Even if it means I have to pimp out the other half. And I already have everything from the Halloweenie update because I do decant circles. I DON'T have anything from the BPTP update yet but I plan on getting everything I want... someday... edit: I am also doing a BPTP circle so I have everything now. and I also ordered both Beaver Moons and the new single note. And I'm doing a Philharmonic circle, so I have all of those too. I hope the Yule and Inquisition are small.. If you were my witchee, would you be interested in anything from my store or something similar? (Nut-made by LisaNut on etsy.) You have all kinds of awesome things but nothing that is really my style. Say your witch works at a used bookstore. what kinds of things might you like from there? cool old pulp fiction paperbacks? tarot cards? (we have those.) a dr who pen? books about haunted cemeteries in seattle? you may have all of these things:) oh, and also movies. and cds. Yes yes yes. dr who pen, sci-fi/fantasy, movies, cds. My amazon list is pretty extensive except for the cd's and movies. I wish LibraryThing would document movies and albums along with books. Witchee, the Haunt Halloween update goes live tomorrow! When it does, please post right away and let me know your dreams and wishes! I saw some entries for Halloween things when I was updating my amazon wish list (because I still have wishes for Haunt Lip Lust!) I'd be interested in any yummy lip lust, shower scrubs, perfume, or body glossing that sounds like it would be up my alley. Usually she has too much fruit, floral, or chocolate but every once in a while there is something I MUST HAVE. I love lavender, honey, vanilla, spices, amber, patch, woods, incense. Gloaming is a favorite but I'm set there for perfume and body scrub but I could use more body gloss of that and I'm almost out of my other one too... Roma? I'll have to look. Ok, update is up!! I'm interested in... Lip lust in: cask, pumpkin cake, caramel apple Skin glossing oil in: incantare! Winchester, gloomy Sunday, hobgoblin, claw & cobblestone Sugar polish in: incantare, Winchester, tell the bees, hobgoblin, claw & cobblestone Perfume in: incantare, gloomy Sunday, Winchester I've got some canned goods put up -- mostly jams/jellies, some apple butter, some applesauce. Want some? If so, what kind(s)? Apple butter, applesauce, jams/jellies -- all are good!! How feel you about lip balms, glosses, and lipsticks? Any particular favourite scents/flavours? Any favourite makers/sellers? I like lip balm and I have a bunch of my amazon wish list under the bath and beauty section. Haunt, Better Botanicals, and I'd like to try some Tokyomilk Dark Lip Elixirs. Since wishlist links never seem to work in forum mail, won't you please re-post your wishlist links here, so they're readable? Mine are all in the "SW Help" link in my signature. I have links to Amazon, Etsy, The Loopy Ewe, Think Geek, Soapbox Company, Scent Addict (THEY STILL HAVE STUFF LEFT. IT'S ALL HALF PRICE.) And a couple other things. My Amazon wishlist has TONS of stuff on it added with the Universal Wishlist adder, so for things like Haunt, Lush, etc. - they're all there! Table Games - do you play them? If so, which ones, and which versions, and are there any goodies you might like related to them? Meh. I would love playing games if I had people to play with. My games are all packed up and out in a shed with the majority of my stuff (books, gargoyles, bearistas, mugs, depression glass, candles & holders, candle and soap making equipment, unicorn collectibles... someday I'll get to unpack!) long story short (too late), no, not right now. Witchee, are you in need of any particular spices? I would like some pumpkin pie spices and I could use some pure vanilla. Any spices I need are in my amazon wish list in either edibles or kitchen & cooking. Honest, my wishlists are EXTENSIVE! Mostly so I don't forget what I need because I have a horrible memory. I would never say no to fancy salts and a new salt grinder. I'm out of everything except pink and normal. Are there any craft project/s you are working on now that you need supplies for? Or rather, is there a craft project you've been wanting to do but need stuff to start? I always always always need more knitting needles (I am waiting to start two knitting projects but I had to order more needles first; I already ordered them though - from The Loopy Ewe. I have a knitting needle selection on my wishlist there that specifies sizes and brands/types. My favorites are Hiya Hiya SHARP and ChiaoGoo Red Lace. I usually use 24" - 32" for cable length. You can buy them almost anywhere - Amazon, etsy, most knitting places. I just bought from The Loopy Ewe because I have some credit there so I didn't have to spend any money, not necessarily because they were the best price. I'd also love some really cool fabric -- especially Nightmare Before Christmas, Doctor Who, Game of Thrones, etc. - to make knitting project bags. A yard would probably make about three or four bags. What do you think of hair sticks? Would you like a set? No, I would have no idea how to use them but more importantly my hair is normally shaved on the sides/back. (it's "long" right now, meaning that it has about 3" of grow out from sides/back and 10" or so from top of the head. Not really long enough for even a pony tail. Maybe a dork knob if I used a lot of gel.) Is there anything you'd really like to have/try from Trader Joe's, or any other popular-but-not-available-everywhere store? I live by a Trader Joes so I'm good there. The thing that I have been wanting ever since I moved away from Texas (I was only there about five months before fleeing) are more Cannon's Sweet Hots (mild) - haven't been able to find them anywhere locally for purchase - no one on Amazon even sells them. The mild are not hot, they're mostly sweet. They're really good on hot dogs and burgers. Don't mistake my unholy love for the Cannon's as a love of hot peppers. I don't really like hot spicy things, my favorite Tobasco for instance is the green - which is more tangy than hot. I like pepperoncini and jalapenos on my sandwiches and pizza but these are usually pickled. Fresh jalapeno really varies in heat too, I prefer the mild ones. Garlic on the other hand, one can never have enough of. I'm a huge fan of savory food. I also love garlic, dill pickles & dill relish, garlic stuffed green olives, peppadews, cornichons, kalamata olives, most salami/summer sausage, KRAVE jerky, beef jerky in general, CHEESE!, mead, tawny port, ice wine, rosemary/garlic crostini type crackers, crusty bread (especially baked with kalamatas or rosemary), fresh apples/pears/grapes, dried cherries and cranberries, almonds, pecans, jams/jellies that are odd flavors like rose, lavender, jasmine, pepper (habanero raspberry or jalapeno jelly or whatever), etc. I also go through a ton of honey. How is this all relevant to this question? Well, I don't know what kind of popular but not available everywhere stores are out there unless they are local to me, so if you have a store that has these kinds of things as a specialty -- then yes, nom nom nom. (I can buy everything I listed locally except the Cannons but it's fun to have local pickles/jams/honey/jerky/etc. from other places.) Would you rather have something fun or practical? I'm a virgo. Fun and practical are the SAME THING. Witchee, would you like a set of Cards Against Humanity? um, I have no idea what this is but if it's fun I suppose so? Maybe I could convince the other half to play games with me at some point? Are you okay with semi-spicy foods right now? I'm thinking like curry or chipotle? If you were to choose a chili powder would you go Hot, Medium, or Mild? We used the hottest possible chili powders for making our muscle rub (it's kind of like Icy Hot, but all natural ingredients and made in tune with the lunar cycle) but as far as me eating it, I am a huge wimp right now and only put teeny amounts of chili powder in with my mashed avocados (along with salt, garlic, and cumin. NOM NOM NOM.) But I don't like peppers in my chocolate or sweet things (except savory jams and still like those on the milder side...) and mild. I like milder peppers. If you were this mystery witch's witchee, would you be interested in Spoonfudge (http://www.spoonfudge.com/) or any other such "ordered online" sweet? I haven't ever had their chocolate and I am kind of a chocolate snob, so I don't know? I used to like Milka bars but even those taste waxy and nasty now. Although the drug store had a special on Moonstruck chocolate and I bought a couple of those (they're from Portland) and it was GOOD. Seattle Chocolates isn't the highest quality but they're ok. Vosges Naga is one of my favorites and I love Dolfin. Also - Double checking everyone's baked goods status. Home-made baked goods or other food stuffs OK? As long as you're super anal about being clean and sanitized... I get squicked out if I find hair in my food. Is there anything you'd like from Lush, witchee? This is pretty thoroughly covered under the bath/beauty wishlist on Amazon. I need SO MUCH but unfortunately most of the stuff I want is UK only (gentle lentil shampoo, fairy sugar scrub, never too busy to b beautiful, see my Amazon wishlist!) but there is stuff available locally that I want too. If you like earrings, what kind? Dangly earrings, hoops, studs - what kind do you like? How long do you like your necklaces? Or would you prefer to just get a pendent, so you can size the chain yourself? This is somewhat covered under the original questions and under the wearable wishlist on Amazon. I usually only wear studs (but I have thick lobes so they have to have long posts) or body piercing spirals/half circles/whatever is cute (not hoops because I suck at getting the bead in), I'm allergic to everything except sterling, surgical steel, titanium. My neck size is what.. 16", so I need necklaces that are at least 21-22" and if the clasps aren't silver, I'll break out from the clasp itself let alone the rest of the necklace. I don't need any pendants unless they are on my wishlist, I usually only wear my scent locket. I could use more silver chains. If I were your witch and were to paint you something, what would you absolutely love, what would you feel ambivalent toward, and what would you not like to see or receive? Love: Gargoyles, ravens, bats, my dogs, friesians, dark purple/blue swirly things (anything you see on my Pinterest or etsy favorites..) Ambivalent or not like: er, oranges, yellows, browns? I would need to look at something specifically really because my whims can vary greatly. Is there anything in the Miskatonic Valley Philharmonic update that you're interested in? I'm doing a decant circle so I'm all set! Is there anything my mom's etsy shop that you're interested in? I LOVE the shopping bags and project bags but since it's my mom, I just get them from her of course. I keep hinting that she needs to make me a werewolf hat, but I have the pattern.. I suppose I could just make one for myself. Do you have any upcoming away time I should be aware of, for shipping purposes? Possibly for Thanksgiving week (Mon-Fri), maybe longer. Maybe not at all since the other half freaked out about leaving the house unattended. Would you like anything from Sock Dreams? They sometimes have cute things that I like. I usually wear capri & sandals (no socks) during the summer and BDU's with black socks and fluevogs/converse/docs during the fall/winter/spring. Sometimes I wear my handknit socks. But I rarely wear shoes that show off socks... I need to get some cute mary janes. Your feelings on Adagio teas: If you've never had anything from them, would you be open to trying them? If you HAVE had them and like them, name some favorites blends. I was gifted little tins of four of the Doctor Who teas last round. And while I will drink them, none really grabbed me and made me drink them every day like the Pumpkin Spice Brulee from Teavana or the Butterscotch tea from Mariage Freres (on my amazon edibles wishlist), the latter of which I'm hoarding for special occasions because it is SO GOOD. I need to contact my friend in Germany and have her send me some more Anise tea too. She sent me a HUGE BOX of tea and I dutifully tried them one by one, and the Anise was the only one I was totally crazy about. I prefer black tea as the base and I love rose, chocolate/fruit (chocolate raspberry, chocolate orange, chocolate strawberry, etc.), pumpkin spice, butterscotch, anise.... for herbal teas I'm totally in love with licorice mint and Aveda's "tea" (which has basil, licorice, and mint.) Do you like video games? Are there any you want to play? Do you have a large library? I have a wii (that isn't working very well, I need to upgrade to a wii u), an xbox 360 (which is mostly used for netflix/hbo go right now) and I'd like a ps3 but mostly to watch blu-ray. Most of the games I play are on the PC, which I should change because right now it hurts to sit at the computer but not to sit at the couch. On the PC I have Skyrim (with Dawn Guard), Diablo III, Ultima Online, and a ton of old games that I play with DOS BOX. I loved Infocom Text Adventure games growing up, as well as the Ultima series and then the Sierra On-Line series like King's Quest, Space Quest, Quest for Glory, Gabriel Knight, etc. I love the Zelda games on the wii.. I wish those would come out faster. Once I've finished the game then I don't really want to play again, although I finished Twilight Princess three times I think. Oh! There are a bunch of cool games for the ipad that I'd like -- but I have to upgrade to a better ipad first since I have the original one. pout. Name three BPAL scents you have tried, but are dying to get more of. Lady of Pain, Brom Bones, The Traveler. Have you ever tried anything from Paintbox Soapworks? Which products or scents would you prefer? Yes! I'd like the large size of the Honey/Lavender body butter. Everything else is in it's own category on my etsy favorites. I prefer the scrubs over everything else but I would like to try one of the slips in a sample size. Please don't send me soap; I make soap and I have more than I can use. Do you like/have space to garden? If so, what do you grow? I wish! I used to have 50+ rose bushes that I knew all of the names of, 12 varieties of lavender, multiple varieties of rosemary, thyme, basil, etc. I mostly grow edible things that are also ornamental but I'd like a vegetable garden as well. I'd love to do a knot garden. Gift cards/vouchers - yay or nay? If you like them - which stores would you like one for? Yay! Ummm amazon is always awesome. Paintbox Soapworks is always awesome. Seen anything lately that makes you go OH HOLY FUCK THAT'S AWESOME!! ? Sadly, no, the winning lottery ticket has not been in my pocket yet. Name five small things you could use, but might not think to get for yourself? That's kind of the problem ... if I can't think to get them for myself, then I can't think of them now! er, I could use some salad greens, avocado, pomegranate vinegar, salt grinders (wish I could find my mortar/pestle, it's packed up in the shed somewhere), other salad goodies... but other than the grinders and vinegar, they probably wouldn't travel well. I picked up a bunch of pomegranate seeds (all ready to eat) at costco so I was thinking of making salad with them. I should just snack on them too. Er, um, I'm hungry so I'm thinking of food, um.. three more things.. I can't think of anything that would travel well. bath mats, towel sets, etc. are kind of big and spendy. a BPTP coffee mug? BPTP pens? oh, new ipad/iphone usb cords and a wall plug in charger! Is there anything from a farmer's market you might like? local honey, dill pickles, rose/lavender/tasty jams or chutneys, umm things that would travel well. Locally I get cheese curds, veggies, fruit, spiced blackberry wine, salad greens, fish, baked things, juice, vinegar, etc. How do you feel about nail polish? If you like it, are there any brands or colors in which you are interested? I don't wear nail polish although I do wear toenail polish occasionally. Any nail polish would most likely be absconded with by my son or my other half (what? goth boys wear nail polish!) Any polish I get needs to be 3F free (or whatever the new term for it is.) What about makeup? What brands do you prefer and which products would you most enjoy receiving? I usually only wear prescriptives base/powder so I have to order it online which is a pain. I could use some more eyebrow powder (I apply with a brush) and I could always use new fun eye shadows. I had a whole list on my Amazon site from evilshades but it looks like they went out of business. I like greys, silvers, blacks, dark purples, burgundy. I like them sparkly and shimmery, not matte. (again, I'm 12.) Are you interested in anything from the Haus of Gloi yule update on November 3rd? Which products and which scents? Me me, pick me! Here's my wish list: Bubbling Scrub, Emulsifying Scrub, or maybe Pumpkin Butter in: - Snow Wolf - Three Treasures BUTTERBOMBS: Sugar Cookie Silver Fir Sugar Plum Holy Incense LIP BALMS: Gingerbread Peppermint Sugar Cookie Brown Sugar & Pear Hot Toddy If I made fairy, dragon or butterfly wing earrings, would you wear them? If so, which would you prefer? Are they studs? As stated multiple times, I only wear studs or body piercing jewelry. And I only wear sterling, surgical steel, or titanium. I would totally wear dragon stud earrings though. Is there anything you would like from the Blooddrop Halloween update? dang enablers. Chai Tea Cold Leather Library Long Black Veil (hopefully the vetiver isn't overpowering) Tabac Wild Myrrh Lavender Honey flutter Pumpkin & Honey flutter Roses & Shadows sugar polish Do you prefer to receive whole coffee beans or ground? Also, if you like flavoured blends, what sort of flavours? (caramels, nuts, chocolate, etc.) I prefer whole beans since you should REALLY use ground beans within a week and you should never ever freeze coffee. But I mostly use my Verismo coffee maker. I do have a coffee grinder and a french press though if you have an absolute FAVORITE coffee that cannot be missed. I do like flavored coffee, I am a HEATHEN. But it must be from a good roaster, none of that mass produced grocery store stuff. I like cinnamon/hazelnut, chocolate, irish cream, chocolate with fruit (chocolate orange, chocolate cherry, chocolate raspberry, etc.), ummm things like that. The best flavored coffee I ever had was in a little hole in the wall coffee shop across from my hotel somewhere in upstate New York when I had to fly there from Denver to train SysOps at our call center. The little cities there were deserted; I swear I was the only person staying in the HUGE awesome hotel. I had a huge suite - like bigger than apartments I've rented - with a kitchen, living room, HUGE freaking bedroom with walk in closed, huge two part bathroom, dining room, reading room. It was freaking cheap too. What is up with places in upstate new york where no one lives anymore? I wanted to move there; there were so many cute shops and awesome fall scenery. Sorry, off on a tangent there. How do you feel about robots? I'm totally not into robots or automatons. Even if I have read some steampunk. Do you want to be an early accepter or would you prefer your reveal later in the swap, say maybe closer to the deadline? Whatever works best for my witch is fine! Are there any GC scents that you love, but for whatever reason, you keep putting off buying bottles of? Well, I keep putting off buying bottles of Druid, Bard, Mr. Prenderghast, Witchblade, Sara Pezzini, Crowley, Aziraphale, The Ifrit, Rat Speakers, Marquis de Carabas, tons more Neil Gaiman scents, more Rogue, Robotic Scarab, London, Spellbound, Hellfire, imps of Vial of Holy Water and Thieves' Rosin .. and that's all I can think of. Plus whatever is on my wishlist. If your Witch were to create a cookbook of recipes she thought you'd like, would you be interested in that sort of thing? And if so, what sort of recipes would you be interested in? I don't actually cook a lot. I do have a collection of recipes that I absolutely love but.. yeah, rarely do I cook them. The other half asks for my chicken tacos and that's about it. Otherwise he likes grilled meat. I would be interested in really yummy recipes that don't require a ton of prep. And maybe garlic soup. Would you be interested in getting a kit of sorts to learn how to do a craft or make something, with some basic starter materials and instructions? And if yes, what sorts of things would you be interested in learning? How to do origami, or glass etching, or cross-stitching, or card making, or knitting, or crocheting, or cheese-making, or mushroom growing, or whatever? yes, cross stitch!

What do bottles and labels look like?

Quite a few of the literary vampires had two labels. The Girl, Sarah, Mircalla, etc. But it looks like you remembered that afterwards!

    EPIC BPAL Spreadsheet Thread

Yeah, but a lot of times, how would you even *know* what you were missing, if it was missing? Yes, if I remembered "oh, I'm missing "___" I could go find the notes, hell, even in the BPAL reviews section - but I'm not even aware of what my gaps might be (aside from TAL/BPTP - maybe if I get a quiet bit today, I'll look at catching up on BPTP, at least) BUT, I think my list is now complete - as far as I'm aware - You'd do a search for pickman gallery, Yule, halloweenies, whatever.

    EPIC BPAL Spreadsheet Thread

If you guys are missing scents you should be able to get all of the scent notes (and usually accompanying photos) from scentbase.com.

What do bottles and labels look like?

aha. I thought you meant a pink LABEL. My Cottonmouth in the gallery has a pink snake as well. I used to do a lot of decant circles so originally I bought the whole Snake Pit for a circle.

What do bottles and labels look like?

Can you show us a link that has the hot pink label? I've never seen anything from the Snake Pit with a pink label. I have all of the Snake Pit in the flickr gallery.

What do bottles and labels look like?

I'm working from home now, yay! So I'm trying to stay current with BPAL as it comes in, and I'll try to go back and get bottles that I never took photos of. The BPAL/BPTP collections are here --> http://www.flickr.com/photos/miss_twilight/collections/72157606846994887/ and the BPAL Flickr Group Pool is here --> http://www.flickr.com/groups/bpal_fiends/ PLEASE feel free to add any of your BPAL related photos to the flickr group. Will call, stickers, happy shiny faces with BPAL, we wantses it all, precious! I added Goblin Sack, Slipping into Madness, Agnes Nutter v2 (from SDCC) and Single Note: Burning Book (from SDCC) to the group pool.
