What do bottles and labels look like?

check Twilight_Eye's Flickr journal; I bet she does! I only have the old label. Today I posted Chaos Theory V on flickr, as well as Flower Moon.

    Orange Phoenix v6

Hm. This does not smell like real oranges to me. (I have one sitting right here to compare with.) At first in the imp it does smell very fresh orange like but with a floral undertone. Dry, though it smells more like a mock orange blossom or a floral orange. A warm and creamy floral. Possibly some ginger warming it up? I want to say Neroli or Bergamot lurking about as well.

    413 U.S. 15 / Miller Vs. California

On me: leather. single note. Hello leather. Yes, you are still sexy, leather. But I wanted some cream and fig and berry. *sigh*

    Dandelion and Clover.

The Host of the Air is very much green and clover. I would suggest getting it while there is still time.

    Symmakhia

This is one of the surprise favorites from the Odes for me. It actually reminds me almost completely of White Rose from the Trading Post. Sweet vanilla, white rose, something a little tangy, perhaps the white wine grape? I love sandalwood but nothing in this blend screamed out sandalwood to me. I really really want to stock up on bottles but funds are tight this month so I might be looking for back ups on the forum instead.

    The Deserted Village

In the bottle I get ambergris, oakmoss, and a little musk. On my skin, it seems fairly light and close. The black musk is much lighter than anticipated. The honey is starting to peek out and a teeny hint of fruit and citrus from the currant, neroli, and bergamot. The patchouli seems to be a sweet one. Earthy and sweet. Dry: The honey and fruit has come out a lot more -- this actually reminds me of Gluhwein but without the spice. Very very nice.

    The Host of the Air

Ok, *THIS* one is green. I don't smell dandelions as much as heather, clover, and green grass. A very green and refreshing floral blend.

The Dole of the King's Daughter

First thought: whew, the dirt is barely noticable. Second: Roses, lilies, and woah -- Helllloooo Yew!! This reminds me a bit of Rose Red because of the green waving at me except that, of course, it isn't pure rose otherwise. I like this one a lot -- I expected not to like it as much as others because of the dirt note, but I can't smell dirt at all.

    Leipreachan

In the imp: Gleaming metal and leather? I think also some vanilla, moss, white rose, and possibly frankincense. On skin: Hasn't morphed at all. This is not grassy on me in the slightest. On the exhale I get the same tingle on the sides of my tongues that White Rose & Symmakhia give me. Dry: Smells a lot like Miller vs California's dry down. Leather. I think Brom Bones also had this sort of feel. This is a little on the masculine side but very lovely all the same. Thank you Beth & Laddies! (er, Labbies!)

What do bottles and labels look like?

I ordered two sets of the Bards and got one imp of Leipreachan, so I don't think it is set related. Mine are all posted on Flickr now too.

Limited editions equivalents in the general catalog?

Is it just me, or do White Rose and Symmakhia smell veerrrrry similar?

    Lovers in a Ricefield

Spiced, nutty vanilla plum. A bit later, the sandalwood and plum blend together. Very nice, I might need another before the end.

    Strawberry Moon 2005

I am getting cantaloupe from this. Srsly. Mixed with musk and spice. Hm.

    St. Lucia v8

At first sniff, all I could smell was indian food. Cardamom, curry, etc. But now, yes, the cassia or cinnamon is coming out to play. Whew. Will have to test further and return.

    PPH07

As soon as I smelled this, I knew I had smelled something similar... It definitely has some of the feel of the L'Autunno room spray. Fig, orange, violet, musk, oakmoss, and bois de rose is my guess.

    Thirteen (13): February 2009

In the bottle: Spicy ginger and chocolate. Dry on skin: Gingery! Softened a bit by the brown sugar and depth added by the nutmeg and allspice. This reminded me of Flesh Eating Reindeer but sans musk and a bit sweeter.
