  1. I found the drydown of Aerowen to be similar to Breathe Romance. The wet stage is nowhere near it, but, drydown is fairly close on me.

Anyone know if there's a scent that smells like Bath and Body Works Breathe Romance? It's described as a sensual amber myrrh.

ETA official description: Scented with lovely, sweet papaya wood, seductive myrrh, and honeyed orange, this sensuous amber myrrh fragrance will inspire true romance and total wellbeing whenever you need it most.

It was my favorite for years and all I wore through high school and to my proms. I'd love to find a dupe for it.

  2. I found I apply with a more generous hand from bottles then I do imps. I don't know if it's because it's bigger and I think "I have more of it, can use more" or what, but I've dented one of my bottles of cheshire moon pretty well, yet the imp I have of it still is around 1/4 full! And I use the imp more then I do the bottle!

  3. Wet- maple syrup?! I'm assuming that it's the orange blossom interacting with the cream and confusing my nose, but that's what I smell at first. It's not bad, but, it makes me want to layer this with sin which my nose interprets as oatmeal with cinnamon...

Dry- spicyish creamyish orange blossoms. I like this, but not sure if I want a bottle of it.

  4. A huge bouquet of squished rose petals: Bulgarian rose, Somalian rose, Turkish rose, Damascus rose, red and white rose, tea rose, wine rose, shrub roses, rose, rose, rose...

...and just an itty bitty bit of green grass.

I got a really sweet rose scent, great throw. Unfortunately I had put it on, then put on a coat that eats all scent, so I reapplied. Well, apparently this scent was smarter then the other scents I wear, because it was just hiding from my nose, and thus gave me 2x the roses. Yeah, it was bad.. (in a nice smelling way). So, a little bit goes a LOOOOOONG way!

  5. Wet- very sweet floral. ALmost too much, but not quite.

Drydown, sweetness fades and the smokey vanilla comes out more.

I really like the vanilla, and once the sweet floral fades a bit, it's very nice. It's just a bit too much at first.

  6. I'm not exactly sure what ozone smells like exactly, but this scent does smell like being outside in snow.

When the oil drys down it does get sweeter like the reviewer who said flowers peeking out of the snow. I put the scent on last night before bed, and the sweetness is still on my wrist a full 12 hours later. It's faint, you have to put it by your nose to smell, but it's there :D It's so gorgeous and I love it. :P

  7. The scent of Irish coffee, dusty tomes and polished oakwood halls.

    In the imp=ooh boozy coffee!
On me wet- vaguely irish creamy coffee
    drydown- moldy butter

Won't be ordering a bottle, but if I had a scent locket I'd definitely try it there!
which reminds me, maybe I should get a scent locket...

  8. Plunder was like a cup of tea. It was very strange smelling something so very tea-like yet it wasn't *hot* I felt like my wrist should have been at least warm. I love this scent, and when layered with snake oil, I got an extra spicy, sweet tea :P

  9. What scents have the same leather note as in Black Tower?

I've tried Sevrin, which was just starting to maybe hint at a bit of leather when it disappears off my skin, otherewise I get citrus. Basically, if I love the leather in Black Tower, I'd love...?
