Yup...O does in fact smell like sex. Almost as good as, and almost exactly like, my layering technique of Bliss and The Lion (which I use for "romantic interludes" ). It threatens to go powdery, but never does. Very ambery to me. The scent makes me want to throw my man down and ravish him. This is definitely going on my big bottle list!
-
Here's what I get on my skin, wet and dry: Rose, rose rose rosy rosy rose rose rose. That is all....straight up rose. Got this as a frimp...I love it and will be buying more. One of my favorite florals....can't wait to try Harlot!
-
Delicious, rich homemade hot cocoa through and through....NOT the powdered stuff, but the kind you make on the stovetop with milk and baking chocolate. A little smoky on me dry, but not unpleasantly so. Chocolate is one of my very favorite substances, and I'd be hard-pressed to choose between the many mouth-watering varieties BPAL has to offer ETA: Make that homemade hot cocoa with a dozen Hershey's Kisses thrown in. Next order will include a BIG bottle! Very aptly named.
-
Smells so good! I love the scent of ground cinnamon....not the "Big Red" or "red hot" candy type of cinnamon....and ground cinnamon is what this smells like, wet. Reminds me quite a bit of Jack, but without the sweet peach note. Dry, still a tinge of cinnamon spice, but cedar incense has mostly taken over (rather a nice combo, as cedar incense is one of my favorites). The only problem is, it is fading quickly and doesn't seem to have much throw on me. However, that does not mean I won't be trying it out for its intended purpose I still like it VERY much.

Ohhh... When my friend introduced me to the magic of BPAL love potions, this was the very first thing I ordered. So, you might imagine my disappointment when my skin turned it to cherry cough syrup, and even that disappeared in an hour or so. No wine or amaretto for me
-
Delicious and decadent! Amaretto and hot buttered rum. Unfortunately, this doesn't seem to last more than an hour on me....guess I'd better slather
-
I feel like I say this a lot when I try a new scent, but I seriously think this will remain my favorite BPAL fragrance. How could it not be...what with it containg a combination of my 3 favorite gourmand elements...chocolate, coffee, and cinnamon? As so many others have said, dead on with the description. This was genius. I wouldn't say it quite reminds me of Mexican hot chocolate...doesn't have that tiny element of bitterness. But hot cocoa with cinnamon and coffee, absolutely. Reminds me of all the coffee shops I have worked at and frequented. Yum, yum, YUM. I smell delicious. I will seriously have to get plenty of backup bottles....why didn't I try this before that order I placed yesterday?
-
Well, I'm a sucker for anything "catlike"...and this was no exception. I ADORE The Lion. Of course, amber, with a touch of pretty musk....and perhaps myrrh? (Not a "note expert") One can almost feel the warmth emanating from the vial. Somehow playful and frisky yet noble and dignified. A little goes a long way...I still need to learn this; as a recent BPAL addict I need to trust that a dab WILL be enough (but it's fun to slather!). I get the impression of toffee or honey with this too...it doesn't exactly smell like either, maybe I just associate amber with toffee and honey by color. Verrrry nice.

From in the bottle to bedtime (7 hours and still going strong): Delicious, chewy, cinnamon-and-nutmeggy, honest to goodness GINGERBREAD *drool* Might need to get another bottle of this to last until NEXT Yule. If my oven was working, I'd whip up some edible gingerbread because of this. Scrumptious!

In the bottle: Mmm, buttery goodness. Wet: Buttery, sweet and fruity (the husband said he could definitely pick out the cherries and toffee) Dry: Smokiness...Here comes the turkey! (That's the part I was hoping for) Within 3 hours: The smokiness has become potpourri/incensey/candley on me. Still nice though. Great while it lasted...made me feel almost like Violet Beauregard with the Wonka gum Such an interesting scent experience!

While I am not a BPAL expert....YET I can tell you that this delicious scent stayed true on my skin, wet and dry, to its aroma in the bottle...I'm thinking honey, caramel and toffee-ish (not picking up any candied fruits). But you don't have to take my word for it... Two of my male co-workers just passed my cubicle and immediately started saying things like "That's making me hungry! I want waffles! Smells like maple syrup and coffee!" So there you have it...the unbiased opinion of people who don't know quite what they're smelling Wish I'd ordered more than one bottle... Oh yes....great throw, and it LASTS (put it on at 8 am, now almost 10:30 pm and still smells wonderful). Of course, I may have slathered a wee bit...

I definitely concur with the scads of people who say "buttery pumpkin" in the bottle. On me: Possibly even better? You are sitting at the table after a delightful Thanksgiving dinner, with pumpkin pie and peach cobbler set out before you for dessert, their spicy sweet bakery scents wafting your way. ETA: 5 hours later: 90% peach now, but still yummy. Just an echo of buttery crust and pumpkin pie spice. One of my favorites! I need a big bottle!
-
In the bottle: Incense with a hint of citrus? (Husband thought it smelled like mold) On me: Pleasantly dusty, subtle incense. Not unlike the cozily cluttered pagan shop I visit. And perhaps...bubble bath. I like this one a lot. I can see how this would attract a paramour!

Nom nom nom... This is exactly what it says it is in the description. Smells like butter and hazelnut candles...only better. As my 9-year-old daughter said, "It smells like something really delicious you would pour over ice cream." Decent lasting power too. Not sure about throw (probably should have waited until my sniffles are gone to review a scent, no?). Gluttony indeed. My favorite so far.

In the bottle: Misc. floral. Wet and dry: On me....jasmine, jasmine, nothing but JASMINE. I like jasmine but this is a bit much...it's obscuring any other possible notes from detection, even hours later. I might also have gone overboard in applying. I'll try another day and see if my results are any different. Such an interesting blend, I want to give it another chance
