sweeeeeet candy. this smells a lot like blackberry cough syrup. obviously I am not reading any of the real notes in this blend, which happens on occasion. I will say that i got to smell this when I was more early on in bpal so maybe my nose was less "toned" than it is now!!!! Very rarely am I this "off" in scent testing now!!! but hey, that's what i wrote....i almost feel like apologizing and retesting it! however, i really did not like it the first time. ick.

Chocolate Sauce? There is a lightness to this....kind of a nutty undertone that keeps this from being thick and brownie-like. This a a nut scent with chocolate in it....not a chocolate scent that is deep and rich.
-
Snickerdoodles!!!!! I don't get a huge amount of cinammon from this. I'm in the almond category or vanilla cookies with nuts. It's foodie and delicious!

I really love this scent. I don't get anything strong like cherries or almonds but it's a blended bit of goodness. I get a creamy note that makes everything melty and warm. I like lighter scents and this is a good one. Does this have rose in it??? If it does, it's not Ew rose as I hate rose and it amps on me. Alice is a scent for everyone to try!

Creamy woody and strong. It dries down to something extremely well blended and this seems like it would be a scent that vanilla lovers would like. This is the least weird of the shungas imo! It's right in the middle for me...I don't love it as much as other people do but it's still a wonderful scent.

love this! the plum is yummy and the green tea comes after it. Strong green tea. This is probably one of the most prominent tea notes in a blend, in awhile. I usually am not a huge fan of plummy berry scents but this one is nice and compliments the overall concept. This whole series is a win for me.

You need to give this one a chance! Soapy and weird at first and totally not meshing with my skin..the jasmine and tangerine are blending....but not nicely. Japanese hair tonic. Not so strong. HOWEVER. It dried quickly to something that kept wafting and i was wondering what smelled good. It dries super lovely dammit. It's complex and light and it's something that you want to keep smelling on your skin. I think jasmine and my skin act weirdly at first but play together nicely on dry down. The good news with this one is that you don't have to wait too long.

dandelion, with a hint of sweetness. As it dries it is more of the bitterness of dandelion, tinge of sage. Green, herby. Nice.

My first impression was Twigs! and Sweet! This is a light scent, surprisingly sweet but not cloying. The green note is there but an afterthought. Overall a super nice blend and very wearable. I thought I would hate this and I really like it. This would be a great "i don't know what to wear today" scent.

lemon, woody, berries, fruit, YUM wet; it's getting light and very green on dry down. green light a young piece of twig that you are stripping the bark off of. I love this scent. Good all the way thru.

Snake Oil with four mints, bergamot, and green tea. chocolate, then mint, green tea, love it! I like this because you can smell individual notes and it's bright and lovely. The snake oil gives it a chocolate warmth but everything else keeps it light and interesting. The tea scent is true and the cooling mint is there but not Whoa.

Loves Baby Soft. Seriously. LBS. Try it. I'm right!!!!! I swear!!!!

Smells like vibrating purple, the color. Strong, pungent, floral but not sharp. Actually quite nice and probably great on men too. This is a nice unisex blend.

Dirty bog mud. Muddy dirty bog. Dirty bog bog. Muddy dirt dirt. OMG this is terrible!!! Dirt/earth lovers will love this!!

Snake Oil with blood orange, red apple, lemon peel, plumeria, and gardenia. Almost peachy, snake oil not prominent. Smells like a sophisticated version of Diary TLC. Really nice, bright and fruity snake. Like this a lot and would be a great scent to enable people on.

Peanut butter and mandarin!!!!!!!!!!! But let it sit a bit and it dries down to a lovely and very light violet and orange scent. Like all the Shungas, this is complex and weird but I find myself liking it.

This one is a multi test item for me. It's not my favorite of the Tikis but it was really interesting to test this boozy concoction. It's definitely fermenting apricots or pineapple. Very fruity and distinct. The dry down boozy fermenting note gets stronger. Like sticky syrup.

the lavender keeps the floral kind of herby wet. Coriander and orange blossom are strong to me…it does not have a harsh gardenia note or a cloying fakey gardenia note which is surprising. Quite strong. Interesting deep herby, tinge soapy - should be room spray in a garden shop.

Starts as a fizzy cherry cola. Dries to a nutty note that reminds me of dried root beer or sassafrass. I love this scent!!

pretty when wet, orangina with sweet incense. Limey. Interesting. Dry down is an explosion of interesting complex orangey scents with indescribable undertones. Complex like Lush's Olive Branch...you like it but it's hard to describe!

I was surprised because I'm not getting too much of that sweet foodiness that everyone is getting. It smelled a bit like cola going on...and then i got more of the nuts. It's definitely the snake oil that is the base....mine is not sweet like sugar skull or rot your teeth out...AT ALL. I thought....musky like snake oil, a bit of cola, a bit of cocoa/chocolate/coffee...maybe a hint of tobacco. This was more like elegba with el dia de reyes and snake oil to me..maybe even boomslang but more complex. As it's drying there is almost a coolish menthol headiness to it, without an actual menthol smell....something that is pure and piercing my nasal passages (in a good way). Somehow, it seems like a scent that would work on everyone. I can see why this isn't a risk to hunt out....it's so broad in its appeal. niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice.......

I can't keep sniffing my wrist. I'm starting to like more "interesting" scents and this one is the best foodie so far for me. I'm not a big fan of Eat me and Beaver Moon and Midway are somewhere in the middle for me. Wet? It's creamy with the barest hint of lemon chiffon undertone...the cream is so creamy it read as caramel to me. I thought of the midway and a carnival...the funnel cake scent that never works on me because it gets cakey and greasy...this scent is not extreme in that way. I get the red ginger and a bit of pepper to keep it light. There is definitely a lot of carmely cake and lemon cream wet. Dry it's cream with pears, a bit of pepper and the ginger makes it super prominent yet very airy and wearable. Further dry down is fruit, pepper and cream with the ginger reading as even more pepper to me. I could wear this to the office, around crowds of people...it's a pleasant scent that would love to share its uniqueness with others.....without knocking them down. 2 hours later: fresh cut ginger from the grocery store, dolloped with cream or evaporated milk to keep it from being harsh, with the slightest tinge of fruit coming up underneath it. I think this will work on a lot of people!!!!! This is a great food/fruit/cream scent...very pure!! -
This is a light winter scent. I don't know what winter aconite smells like but it's definitely pretty...not so much in the men's cologne range or at least it's on the cusp of it. The first notes are a clean, snowy fir or cedar smell. The mint is not minty but adds to that winter air kind of smell to it. I like this a lot but don't know if i'd reach for it to wear myself. It smells like a crisp winter's night where people are messing around with some evergreen trees...moving chipped bark and what not. a lot of the 2007 yules seem nice for my husband. clean, light, masculine and bright...but not so much to wear for myself.

Tea with lemons. I'm not sure I want to smell like ice tea but this smells pretty nice. It dries down to a yeasty lemon bread, in a good way.
