IN THE IMP: A really bright and tangy, juicy pomegranate with some rose balancing it. I keep getting this odd sour note once in a while too, which I don't THINK is from the pomegranate... It actually reminds me of the sour note I got in Jezebel, and the only note the two have in common is rose. Though I can't imagine why roses would smell sour to me. WET: Oh, the rose note is a lot more obvious now. After reading about all the trouble rose scents seem to give a lot of people, I was really worried, but this is a very soft, sweet rose. It smells like rosewater, but with a fruity note to it, and it's really quite lovely. DRY: A really juicy, fruity rose. The pomegranate and rose blend together really well, and this is a wonderful sweet, fruity floral.

IN THE IMP: Chocolate and sandalwood. Sweet but dry and woody. Huh. I've never smelled the two together before, so it's a bit odd to me. WET: Oh, the chocolate and sandalwood are mixing quite nicely. It smells really luxurious, like I'm lying on velvet sheets. DRY: Mostly sandalwood now. It's still sweetened by the chocolate, but I can't distinguish the actual chocolate note anymore. Not my type of scent, since I don't really go for woodsy. I wish the chocolate note was stronger on me. But I do actually like this, so I'll probably at least keep the imp.

IN THE IMP: Fruits with what I think is sweet pea. Can't distinguish any of the fruits, though. Bright and girly. WET: Mm, very pretty, like eating a lot of really juicy fruits in a flower garden. I smell the pear and grape, some peach, and sweet pea. Unfortunately, it smells a bit commercial, like a scent from Victoria's Secret, or like the Sweet Pea scent I always use from Bath and Body Works, except much fruitier. DRY: Pretty much the same as when it was wet. Sweet and fruity and bright and feminine with a hint of florals in the background. A great summertime scent. OH NO I just spilled some. AGAIN. Now I only have half an imp left.

The scent of sexual obsession, slavery to sensual pleasure, and the undercurrent of innocence defiled utterly. Amber and honey with a touch of vanilla. With Dorian, another one of those famous BPAL scents I wanted to try, just to see why everyone went crazy over it. IN THE IMP: Huh, honey. A lot of it. It smells powdery to me. Should I be worried? WET: Oh, baby powder. But I do smell some honey underneath it. DRY: Just a lot, a lot of baby powder. Honey-almond scented baby powder. Maybe I'll keep the imp for a while and hope it ages well.

Had to try this one to see what all the fuss was about. IN THE IMP: Hmmm... a sweet, kind of dark vanilla, with a touch of lemon to give it some kick. And some tea, I think, and a bit of musk. WET: Oh, yum! Like a sweet vanilla tea with a hint of lemon, though it also reminds me a little bit of lemon cake at the same time. DRY: Still vanilla tea (the lemon is mostly gone) with a hint of musk. It also reminds me a bit of cologne. Very nice, I really like this, and I could totally imagine this working on a guy, too. I never thought I'd like unisex/masculine scents! This is pretty light on me; I have to get really close to smell it.

IN THE IMP: Oh! Sharp ginger. With other spices underneath. Some warmth, too. WET: The sweetness is starting to come out now, and it's really starting to smell like warm, sweet but spicy gingerbread. Yummmm. DRY: Mostly the spices left. I'm pretty sure it's not the ginger so it must be the nutmeg and clove. Still very yummy, though it's less like being near a plate of freshly baked gingerbread and more like sticking your head in a spice cabinet. With this on one elbow and El Dia de Reyes on the other, I'm starting to crave something sweet. At 2 AM. Someone stop me.

Oh, I was soooo looking forward to this one. IN THE IMP: Mmmm, rich, dark chocolate with creamy coffee and a hint of cinnamon. I want to drink this. WET: Turns all milk chocolate on my skin. Where's the coffee and cinnamon? Uh-oh, it's starting to go a little plasticky. Here's to hoping it goes away. DRY: Still a little plasticky, but this is so good I don't think I care. Delicious balance between the chocolate and coffee. The chocolate gets sweeter but a little less strong, with just a bit of cinnamon, and it's just creamy yummy goodness. I want to lick my elbow.

I've never tried a scent like this before, so I was interested to see how it would turn out for me. IN THE IMP: Hmmm. Very smoky, I can definitely smell the tobacco and incense, and they're mixed with the smell of cotton. And a teensy bit of vanilla underneath. Not sure about this, it smells really masculine to me. WET: Woah, suddenly turned floral-ish, became a whole less bitter, and the vanilla jumped out. Now it's just a soft vanilla-y clean cotton. And very faint on my skin. DRY: Ohh, yum. The tobacco comes back but it's not overwhelming like before, and it blends really well with the vanilla and what must be the cognac. It smells like the shirt of someone at a classy bar wearing a soft vanilla perfume. A dark, smoky, sweet vanilla with a hint of bitterness. It smells pretty sexy to me.

Another frimp from the lab. Also not the type of scent I'd think about buying, but I'm open to new things. IN THE IMP: Woah, very woody! Not what I'd expect from a perfume called "Fire of Love". Also some herbs. Very smoky. WET: Still smoky wood. DRY: Same, kinda herby. Ehhh, not my kind of thing.

Got this as a frimp. Definitely NOT the type of smell I would go for at all. But I'm happy I got the chance to try out something new! IN THE IMP: Very musky and warm, kinda peppery, and I definitely smell the incense. Kind of a dark smell, which I think comes from the black leather. WET: A lot of incense, and very spicy. DRY: Sweet and spicy, still kinda incensey. Still not my type of scent, but it's kind of nice. I liked it on my guy friend better. Smells kind of masculine to me.

IN THE IMP: I smell some roses, and some vanilla, and some other floral I can't identify. But there's also something citrus-y in front, like lemon. WET: Huh. A lot of lemon. Where is that coming from? Is that the gardenia? A tiny hint of warm vanilla and a few florals underneath. Not unpleasant, just not what I was expecting at all. DRY: Still a little lemony, but more florals and vanilla. I didn't think I'd have any problems identifying each of the different florals in here, but I can't pick out a specific one at all. And the vanilla is turning a little rubbery on me. Keeping this, but not sure if I really like it yet. And I had such high hopes for this one, too.

IN THE IMP: Very floral, almost soapy. Mostly water lily (by process of elimination, because I know what sweet pea and carnation smell like) and a little carnation. WET: Still very floral, kinda heady. Sweet pea's starting to come out. Smells a bit like dryer sheets. DRY: Sweet, powdery, slightly soapy floral. Pretty, and I actually like it. Makes me smell like I just stepped out of the shower and was using this really fancy floral soap. Though I just don't think I'll want to smell like this often.

A frimp from the lab, which is great, because I probably wouldn't have tried it otherwise. Plus my roomie loves grapefruit, so she was all "Ooh!" when I told her about it. IN THE IMP: Huh, strange. Very warm and sweet, which I guess is the tonka, with a hint of grapefruit. I agree with two reviewers, it reminds me either of butterscotch or buttered popcorn Jelly Bellies. WET: WOAH, grapefruit, I'm awake, thank you. I can still smell the warm sweetness underneath, but it's definitely overpowered by the grapefruit. A hint of florals and the green tea underneath. Very interesting. DRY: The grapefruit note has died down a lot. But it's still similar to the Wet stage. I'm actually liking it. My roomie didn't like it because she prefers a sweet pink grapefruit, but this is more like a sharp white grapefruit over a butter vanilla sauce. Later on, the grapefruit is nearly all gone and there's this faint rubbery smell left. Bleh. Not sure if I want to keep.

IN THE IMP: A powdery, soft floral with a hint of vanilla. There's also something sharp in here, maybe the mineral note other people have mentioned. WET: More of that sharp mineral note, which I'm really starting to like, and also this really soft, warm vanilla. Sometimes they shift back and forth, and I can only smell one at a time, and sometimes they intertwine, and ohhh, this is really lovely. DRY: A powdery but creamy vanilla. The mineral note has died down a lot, but it's still there. This is a really soft scent on me. Very nice! I'll definitely be keeping this one. Kind of reminds me of the Lavender Vanilla aromatherapy scent I have from B&BW, for some reason, except much better.

IN THE IMP: Um, I can smell the honey and roses, but there's also a really sharp, sour note. Do. Not. Like. WET: Sour note still there. Blah. I think it's the orange blossom. It's only really noticeable right against my wrist, though. Further away, it just smells like really thick honey and roses. DRY: Mostly honey with some roses and orange blossom. The orange blossom's finally toned down and morphed into something I can stand. Nice, but a bit pungent for me. But I also really like the smell of honey. I'll have to think some more before I decide to keep it or not.

IN THE IMP: Spicy floral, which I suppose must be the carnation, with a hint of tea and roses. WET: ... Do I detect a hint of lemon? How strange. DRY: Soft floral tea with a hint of carnation. Everything's blended very nicely. Very pretty, definitely what I'd expect a maiden to smell like!

First review? Ah, the pressure. IN THE IMP: A sharp peachy scent, almost fizzy? Like peach soda or peach wine. Can detect some amber. WET: The vanilla's starting to come out and the peach is getting stronger. Some florals in the background. I like! DRY: A vaguely spicy, warm, peachy vanilla. Very sweet, but it's pretty faint on me. Can detect the amber and sandalwood. Very pretty! Roommate and boyfriend also approve.
