    Leather

Besides Crowley, Black Rider, and Hunter as others have mentioned (all yummy <3), I'd also recommend Clockwork Couture: Male. Female isn't bad, but if you're going for a stronger leather note, not to mention Female is rather faint, go with Male. It's another of the more worn leather, but not so worn as Hunter. Edit for spelling fail

    Bocal de Sang

This to a 'T'. Actually, it reminds me a lot of Feast of the Greatly Revered ones, minus the chocolate, up the wine factor, and add a few drops of blood. Upon application and for a few minutes, the blood is thick and lush with the scent of spiced wine, but unfortunately my skin gobbles up the note after that and I'm left with just wine. The throw follows the same pattern with a bit more longevity: first 15 minutes a lusty throw of a little over a foot, then it slinks back to the skin. Going to try to layer this with a blood note (but sadly, not Blood, as that's resin ~_~).

What do bottles and labels look like?

OMG that is surprising and exciting! Thank you for the photo! It's neat that they are very reminiscent of the LE line labels without being the exact same.

    Interfector

Tobacco ground in the bottom, not like the other Lab tobacco notes, woods...strangely, don't get frankincense. There is a something reminiscent of slightly acrid smoke and some spices, but I don't mind it. Really like this, but sadly it leans a little too far into the masculine side of things for me to wear it often, if ever. Also, throw is just three or so inches on me.

    VILF

Pretty decent throw (about a foot, though it's light) Soft and gingery leather that's walked through some vanilla smoke. So far very masculine. Yeesh, this one will just not dry. After it finally dries, mostly soft leather...strong throw that's at least two feet. Unfortunately, it's a pretty straight leather on me despite the lovely beginning. Will give this a few days and re-test, 'cause that just doesn't make sense, given all the other notes and the fact that none of the other notes really did anything.

    Tombeur

I would love to experience the SC x PM child, but unfortunately, I get: Almost no throw--started off relatively nice with vanilla, then turned into the inside of a balloon or talc-covered gloves, and now...lavender gone bitter and vetiver. A big morpher or me, but not at all my thing. Still morphing after 20 minutes (NOW I start getting some of the sexy scent out of this), but wrist is beginning to itch >_>

    Transeo

Cologne? Really? Orange blossom (no metal!!) that's somewhat sweet-shampoo-y (last time there was madarin, this happend :/). Shampoo slowly fades as the scent dries, and now a faint touch of...I'm not sure. There's a note that brings the scent from the bouncy-girly-shampoo it started off. I can't pinpoint, but sadly I cannot love it either, since at 20 minutes the scent still sits right on the skin. Not getting masculinity from this scent at ALL.

    Hellhound on My Trail

Bourbon vanilla and tobacoo, but they're a little cloying; strong throw, but only at a few inches. Begins to waft after 15 or so I should like this...I want to like it, but it's so heavy and there's an herbal note deep down that makes my stomach twist. Between the time that the cloying subsides a bit (10 minutes) to the moment the root (?) gets to me (20 minutes for me), it's lovely. This is definitely a unisex blend, though it leans more towards the masculine side of things.

    Snow Moon

I have to say, not many scents make me melt, even from precious BPAL. One of the few that managed was the LE bath oil, Ice Prince. And my dears, Snow Moon 2005 smells pretty darn close to Ice Prince (though it could be my skin amping that delicious pine note. Upon opening the bottle, you get that same sweet (berries?), rather flat-cola smell that isn't all that delicious. When applied though, the 'flat coke' morphs into a this sweet pine/eucalyptus sort of scent...it reminds me of a massage oil my mother used, just add a slightly sweet note. The throw is quite impressive, and the smell stays true at almost any distance. HOWEVER, I did notice that if I pull my wrist any closer than where it rests on the desk, I begin to get that metallic note that rose always brings out in me (and not the sexy one like Mechanical Phoenix). This tendency seems to die a bit as the oil sits. Wearlength hasn't properly been tested yet, so no comment quite yet. Its strength seems to hold out longer than Ice Prince's; though Ice Prince lasts nearly all day, it's one of those scents that vanish, then suddenly you get a whiff of. Snow Moon is there strong for at least two hours (whereupon I washed my hands to make dinner). Rating: 4/5

    Spellbound

Cloying dustiness...red musk and roses are up to no good again. It really smells (and feels like) I dried a bouquet of roses, powered them, and then snorted the whole lot. Unfortunately, amber never came to save the day; it simply warmed my skin slightly. *sigh*

    Verdandi

This was my first time reading the description, and I'm amazed at what is in it! When I first put it on, my first reaction was "omg, this is like Ostara!" (my first BPAL love, and my only wearable one at the moment). This makes no sense to me because Ostara reads: "Our springtime celebratory perfume is crafted with orris root, bergamot, frankincense, daffodil, orange pulp, attar of rose, jonquil, strawberry leaf, benzoin, violet leaf, copal, honey cakes, sweet cream, and the blossoms of springtime." Verdandi comes off sweeter (in a fruity way) on me with a backdrop of wine...I could see apple in it if this was a strong cider, but other than that...Perhaps that wine-like smell is from the amber + herbs, though there is certainly no herb-ilke smell as I'd imagine it. 5 out of 5

    Rose Cross

Bottle: Light kick; I get almost a bourbon smell with a hint of metal if I get too close. On my skin: Oh my goodness, this is a frustrating scent. On my skin, there's not much throw; with my fan on, I get occasional, light wisps of a rose-wood smell like rosaries, drifting up to my nose--which I adore. But it's so light and teasing...if I lean closer to smell it, Rose Cross suddenly goes BLOODYMETAL on me and makes me cringe. You know how the school water fountains taste first thing in the morning? And they reek of rust and metal? Well, that's what it smells like. The description says 'frankincense', but since I've never smelt it (knowingly), I'm not sure. It definitely recalls memories of Notre Dame though. I'm not sure if I would wear this out very often...more like if I were trying to write a scene for a story that had to do with angels or church. I have a 45% filled bottle (bought from LJ for $2.50 ^o^), and I think that will be plenty for a long, long time. Doesn't hold a candle to my Dragon's Reverie.
