I tried Gluttony on my ankle but also got some on my fingers. Even after a shower I could still smell the sickly-sweet toffee/buttered popcorn. I finally tried witch hazel, which totally worked!

This is great! I'm new to BPAL, but so far this is a favorite. On my skin it's a bright citrus, but longer lasting than other citrus scents I've tried (I'm looking at you, Embalming Fluid!). I assume that's due to the resinous/woody ingredients in Satan & Death With Sin Intervening. Wet: sharp & sour lemon candy Dry: citrus tea I give it a 5 out of 5!

I really wanted to love Bordello, but it just doesn't work on me. I wanted it to be sexy and womanly, but to me it's pure bubblegum. I don't smell amaretto at all. As it dried, it got more of a fruity-scented-candle smell that neither my husband nor I enjoyed.

A sinister, darkly seductive scent inspired by poetry of Charles Baudelaire. Violet entwined with vanilla and gardenia. Wet, this was as advertised - all violets & vanilla. It reminded me of old-fashioned violet candy. After it dried it got a little baby-powdery on me. I think I'd prefer Le Serpent qui Danse in the diffuser than on my skin.

At first The Organ Grinder smelled like almonds and tobacco on me, and a little vanilla. But after about 90 minutes, it's mainly root beer and patchouli. I smell pine only in the vial. It's unlike anything I've ever smelled before. Really complex. I like it a lot! I worried my husband would think it too masculine, but he says he digs it. ETA: This was actually the first BPAL I ever tried. I have since worn about 2 dozen others, but I keep coming back to The Organ Grinder. It is far and away my favorite BPAL. I just ordered a 5 ml - my first!
