  1. Boomslang

    :thud:

Looooooove. Smooth, chocolatey Snake Oil. I like Snake Oil well enough on its own, but this takes it to a whole 'nother level. This is an oil that you should always have two of... one stashed away, aging, as you use up the other.

  2. The Zieba Tree

Oh, Zieba Tree... how I want to love you. In the vial, it's a bright fruit-tree blossoms. On my skin it smells like shampoo. It's one of those fruity-florals that smells like that one thing... it's on the tip of your tongue, but you can't find the name. It's a bright, happy scent. I just don't like it on me.

  3. The Gladdener of All Hearts

Most of these note are iffy on me, but they come together rather nicely. The lavender is agressive in the bottle, but on my skin, I smell the honeyed milk and... apples? And sweetness and a touch of powder and florals and spice. For as much as I was like, eek! baby powder! eek! rose! eek! lavender! eek! orris! I *really* like this. And I really do think it smells somehow like apples.

  4. Moon of Ice

Definitely not as scary as the description led me to believe--it's a lot softer. Softly piney, softly lunar-floral. In fact, it's kind of weirdly soft... I don't really get the lemon-lime sodas that others have mentioned, but there's something oddly sugary in there. I like the quiet coldness of this.

  5. Lilith Victoria

Fresh out of the bottle, this was a little sharp--I blame the lavender and fennel--but on, it does the slinky Snake Oil thing and smooths right on out. I can smell the Snake Oil, Dorian, and vanilla flower, and way down below is the lavender. I like this a lot, and I'm sorry I didn't get a bottle when I had a chance.

  6. Can I jut say, "ditto" to what TheOneTheyCallLuna said? Floral isn't really my favorite, but I couldn't pass up lemon peel and plum blossom. Unfortunately, I don't really get either of those, I just get a smooth, spring floral. It's pretty, to be sure, it's just not me.

  7. Thirteen (13): March 2009

This one didn't really appeal to me, but I happened to get frimped by a forumite. I'm glad I did! It's a lot more interesting and Gin-friendly than I expected. I get chocolate, musk, spice and the aloeswood. The cherry (a note that's *very* iffy for me) is sort of acetone-y in the bottle and pops up for a minute on the skin, but then dries down into more of a cherry-wood scent.

  8. ... His scent is deep, swarthy, and darkly commanding, and compliments the Queen of Swords perfectly: oakmoss, vetiver and opoponax with black plum, wild blackberry, soft woods, sharp and glinting white musk under a soft, velvety robe of vanilla and coconut.

    King of Spades

I love the King of Spades. (I must, to have held onto him for just about 5 years now!) There's plum and spices (or what translates to spices) and coconut... and vanilla! So. Freaking. Good.
