Cross-posted to the four winds: :: |:|| FROM FEBRUARY 16th - FEBRUARY 25th WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ACCEPT NEW ORDERS. We will be out of town from February 18th - February 25th. I am shutting the shop down a little early to ensure that all pending orders are out and all loose ends are tied up before we leave. ALL orders placed prior to February 15th will be shipped by February 18th. Any orders placed while we are gone will not process until February 25th, and will not ship until February 26th - March 1st. I will do my best to ensure that all emails are answered prior to our departure now that SBC has corrected [or so they say] our outgoing mail issue. We will not have internet access while we are gone. I'm a little slow on emails at the moment, as the fix in the SBC system opened up a floodgate of emails that came in delayed over the past several days, and I've had to haul ass in the Lab to make sure all the orders that need gettin' get out, and all the shit that the USPS fragged up is fixed. Tired, grumpy, and my fingers are pink and raw from fraying samples. Bedtime!

Shennanigans. Love that word. I've posted this in the LJ Community, I know, but I wanted to make sure that whenever something funky is afoot everyone knows the status of it. There's something a little off about our email for the past few days. All emails that I send to clients with AOL mail addresses are bouncing back, and I'm having some trouble with both our outgoing and incoming mail. I'm working with our service provider to recitfy the problem as quickly as possible, but it seems the root of it is MyDoom. If I had enough energy to make voodoo dolls for every single bastard that writes these viruses, believe me, I would.

Diana, the forum is BEAUTIFUL. I am absolutely stunned. I love the graphics, I love the colors, I love everything you've done. Thank you! You are truly a goddess!!!

If you're in L.A. and need a part-time job, we're in dire need of help. PM or email me if you're interested. Thanks!

Oh my God, how did I miss this? =( Slythwitch and Shriekingviolet, thank you both for the incredible effort you've both made in making this forum possible! I feel terrible about the bandwidth load issue. I will be happy to host this on the BPAL site proper if it helps!

That's exactly what I need... something searchable. Plus, it's so important to me to know what comp imps I've already sent -- there's something embarassing about sending people duplicates. I feel... irresponsible or thoughtless when that happens. I know this is a little like playing favorites, but I do want to red flag orders that come from people on this board, Lush and Bust. Quantum [GODDESS!!!] has been so helpful in creating our search function, I'd HATE to bother her by asking her to slave over the site even more. Edited because I'm experiencing a chocolate high that is impairing my typing.

I used Lotus for a long time, but that was eons ago, and my knowledge of Excel is sorely limited.

Well, it's 2am, and the site update [Phase I] is finally finished. I still need to do a TON of things, but I haven't any more energy or brain-juice left with which to work. And I'm out of cigarettes. :x When I get up tomorrow, I'll post the changes and additions in detail. Sleep happy, all!

I'd suggest Oberon. =D

Help Identifying Notes, What Certain Notes Smell Like

It's a light floral. The best comparison is a dry, sparklier lily note. =) -
I f*cked up. :? They should both be under Love Potions, but I somehow deleted them the first time 'round, and then didn't fix Ingenue this time. I'm going to clear that up this afternoon. Thanks for pointing it out, guys!

BPAL for headaches, pain, colds, seizures, sickness, illnesses...
kebechet replied to Tesseljoan's topic in Recommendations
This is a terrible admission, but the scent of perfume made me horribly sick to my stomach while I was ill. Great situation for a perfumer to be in. However, I agree with everyone here: the scent of mints and eucalyptus are soothing, and will help with any congestion you may be experiencing. Teas made of peppermint and ginger should help quell nausea, as will chewing ginger root or any natural crystallized ginger candies. Be careful of the perfumes [or any other strong scent!] you expose yourself to when you're sick. The smell may stick subconsciously, and may trigger a negative reaction later on once you're well. After this past illness, it'll be a long time before I can stand the smell of V8 or any other tomato juice. I'm sure you all don't want to hear the gory details on that. =P -
Best BPAL for gym, workout, sports, exercise?
kebechet replied to quinkel's topic in Recommendations
To be honest, I don't think you should use any of our perfumes when you're working out. Your pores will be wide open, and they may become an irritant under those conditions. I agree with Divajen that the scents might be pesky to other people, too, but just between us, I do put a little bit of Old Shanghai or Embalming Fluid on my sweats [behind the knees] and on my socks before I head out to the gym.
