imp: a lovely soft pear scent. wet: pear... and rose soap. why must rose ruin everything? why?! dry: the rose has faded a touch and i can still sniff the lightness of pear.

imp: sweet and astringent lemongrass. wet: whoa! lemon overload. were there other notes in this blend? you wouldn't know it to sniff me, i smell like a big ol' lemondrop. dry: a more herbal (perhaps it's the cedar) lemondrop.

imp: smoky rose incense. wet: rose and... frankincensse. but more rose ick that frankincense yum. dry: this is by far one of the soapiest rose scents i've ever tried. darn.

imp: jasmine. wet: another jasmine and rose train wreck. my skin just turns them into pure ick. dry: this is a sugary jasmine scent when dry. nicer than jasmine usually is on me.

imp: musk and linen and vanilla. this is far prettier than i expected. wet: once applied the "long-faded perfume" note hits and gives this a little bit of sharpness. but there's still that musky-vanilla background. dry: unfortunately, that sharp note doesn't fade too much. if this had stayed all vanilla-linen musk i would have bought a bottle.

imp: a sweet, clean aquatic with a hint of bergamot. wet: this is exactly what i would love my laundry to smell like. this smells crisp and clean, sweet aquatics with light bergamot and eucalyptus. dry: this dries to more of an aquatic/grass scent. still, very much what i would like my laundry to smell like... i must contrive a way to make it so.

imp: cherry and musk with a hint of rose. wet: cherry roses. the musk and lavender are doing something beautiful in the background. fingers crossed this doesn't go soapy on me. dry: the musk and lavender win out in this one with just the barest dab of cherry in the background. no rose at all to ruin the effect. yay!

imp: this is very dry and light, almost too faint to detect any notes... i know i smell sandalwood and some dry incensey florals... wet: rose. rose. rose incense. rose and rose. dry: soapy rose incense. oh well.

imp: rum and tobacco and tonka... it almost smells coconutty. wet: this is sweet, creamy tobacco rum yumminess. need a bottle. dry: this stays on my skin forever and it smells fantastic! the leathery note is finally appearing and with the rum and tobacco creaminess... at least one bottle will be in my next order.

imp: sandalwood with a nice whiff of carnation in the background. wet: this is awfully faint on me. a faint spicy sandalwood/floral. dry: was there a scent here? it seems to have vanished! tehre is a faint whiff of sandalwood but other than that the scent seems to have completely dissapated.

imp: a very herby scent, sharp but interesting. wet: whoa. this does smell like pencil shavings. dry: okay, this is still just as strong as when i first applied it and i'm being totally overwhelmed by memories of grade school. i'm keeping teh imp if only for the amazingness of having an oil that smells like pencil shavings.

imp: a very dark sugar scent. the molasses is fore but the honey and sugar cane are not far behind. wet: nice and boozy, the molasses is again the top note but everything else just falls into place and smells lovely on my skin. dry: this is all dark and heavy sugars with a very faint smack of oak in the background. i'm leaning toward a bottle...

imp: white musk with a jumble of florals behind it. wet: this is more orchid and musk once applied. the florals are kinda tangy, they don't sit back to be admire, they grab your nose. dry: this is still quite tangy and exciting once dry. a very flirty floral.

imp: musk and sweet pea. wet: the lily and other florals kinda cloud this one, it smells like a very generic floral soap. not bad, but not especially exciting either. dry: luckily, the sweet pea is the prominent note once dry. this is sweet and feminie and pretty.

An ancient formula that inspires unrepentant decadence, lechery and debauch. imp: gardenia. wet: this is spicy gardenia with a light hint of jasmine. pretty if very, very strong. dry: this dries to a gardenia single note. i like gardenia okay but this is a blast of gardenia from the elemental plane of gardenia. an imp will be enough.

imp: there's the iris and sandalwood but there's also a a sort of sweet, watery aquatic scent as well. wet: well, this went straight to ick on my skin and i don't know what's causing it since these notes usually work on me. it's like some awful floral aquatic that makes me think of the ladies room at a department store. dry: still a sharpish aquatic floral disaster. oh well.

imp: a spicy, juicy amber scent. wet: the iris amps like crazy when wet, i can smell little else. dry: the iris fades quickly enough and it's back to a spicy, yet subdued, amber.

imp: this smells just like warm, sweet leather. maybe sweeter than that even... wet: gah! this is like jailbait with leather added to it! kinky! (* added to the to-buy botle-list *) dry: this has a spiciness when it dry, a nice spicy sweetness. i'm impressed by how lovely this scent it.

imp: a very light, incensey patchouli. wet: oof! vetiver! but a bit more woodsy perhps. like a strong woodsy vetiver with some patchouli incense in the background. dry: this dries to a very light and faint vetiver and patchouli.

imp: very woodsy, almost lightly spiced lilac. wet: what? this has an almost sugar skull like sweetness. there the lime and florals... this is one darn interesting scent! dry: to me, this is like a strange mix of la befana and sugar skull. not bad, just really unusual.

imp: jasmine, carnation, iris... this is a floral trainwreck on first sniff. wet: this is like a candied jasmine incense scent. there is not other way to describe it. dry: still a candied floral incense scent, though lighter and closer to the skin. if this were a different arrangement of florals i would be all over a bottle.

Dark musk, moss-covered wood, ragwort, heather, and sage. imp: a very herby musky scent. mainly sage and musk. wet: the sweetness of teh heather explodes when this hits my skin! this is all wet and green and verdant. so pretty. dry: this dries very nicely. dry musk and warm dried herbs. goona add it to the husband's imp pile and see what he thinks.

bottle: this is like diary of a lovestruck teenage cannibal but with out the fruity cake feel. it's that same grab-your-nose ginger and vanilla scent. so pretty. wet: really, this is much nicer that diary of a lovestruck teenage cannibal and it smells heavenly! why did i only order one bottle of this? dry: this dries light and so pretty, gingery vanilla heaven. by far my favourite of all the tikis.

bottle: i'm not a fan of orchid or gardenia but this smells incredibly beautiful. wet: these are some seriously pretty florals! these are sweet, creamy and spicy florals that are in no way overpowering or cloying. dry: this dries to a creamy/spicy gardenia scent that makes me feel like booking a trip someplace tropical.

bottle: wow. what this smells like to me is slightly overbaked potatoes. weird. wet: um, now this smells like i'm at a barbecue. except there's no meat on the coals... there's just barbecue smoke. dry: alas, i'm left with a light smoky/ashy scent. i will, however, be layering this with other dark scents (like troll) to see how they mix.
