imp: wow! tobacco, ginger and orange all slathered with something sweet and honey-ish. wet: sweet, smoky ginger. i'm finding i'm in love with every ginger scent that passes my way and this is no exception. dry: this is sweet and very lightly gingery once dry. i get the vanilla and tobacco as a yummy topnote. bottle-worthy.

imp: mmmmm, dirt! this is less rosy than zombi, more of a tilled earth with leafy-ness. i already sense a bottle in my future. wet: this is fresh rose with dirt where zombi is dried rose with dirt. still... i think i'm gonna buy a bottle (shocking considering my record with rose scents). dry: there is just ther barest hint of rose soap under all this dirt. which is fine for once. off to buy a bottle.
-
bottle: amber, musk, oakmoss ginger and honey. sweet and dark. wet: this is all honeyed oakmoss and sweet musk. so dark and sexy. dry: the orangey scent (bergamot or orange pulp or both) comes forward with the ti over the base of oakmoss and musk. beauty.

bottle LVI (56) bottle: this has a lilac/floral feel. sorta reminds me of sea of tranquility with lilac. wet: this is all florals but i don't detect rose (thank god!). there is a faint, sweet jasmine scent that seems to be amping as it warms up on my skin. dry: this dries to a very floral greenery sort of scent with hints on jasmine. pretty and feminine.

Irrelevant and Disturbing Surreal Crawdad Dream
hkhm replied to filigree_shadow's topic in Limited Editions
bottle: sweet and tingly. i get the green tea and ginger scent most strongly followed by yummy red currant. wet: the ginger and vanilla play well with the currant, musk and ginger. why did i only order one bottle of this? why!? dry: wow. the musk and vanilla have some serious staying powere here! there's a spicy backnote (corainder?) as well. a new favourite! -
neat! i have bottles of shango, miskatonic university and hermia so i can highly recommend all three of those.
-
kill-devil. it's my one unique do-i-love-it-or-just-endure-it sort of fragrance. i still can't decide but i like to sniff the bottle. now me? i love zombi. my husband wears it almost everyday and to me zombi is the scent of sexy, sexy man. ditto for umbra.

Insatiable lust, unending vigor! A truly carnal, energetic men’s blend: vanilla and amber with juniper, rosewood and white pine. imp: very sweet pine. wet: this smells like a sweeter version of the snow storm. a light vanilla and tangy pine scent. dry: the tiniest hint of amber and vanilla are keeping the pine company. i think i may get a bottle of this one for when my bottles of the snow storm run out.
-
imp: oh my. now i see why everybody seems to love this scent! it's pure butterscotch and irish cream. wet: goodbye butterscotch... hello super-strong irish-cream spiked coffee goodness! how many bottles of this scent should i add to my next order...? dry: this is like buttery, hot rum and irish coffee and... just how many bottles of this can i afford to jam into my next order...?
-
bottle: hot and dry honeyed amber. wet: this gets a touch spicier when applied, a very warm, rich amber scent. dry: this has a lemony-dry scent with the amber once dry. lovely.
-
bottle: whoa! honeyed booze overload. this is pure, sweet honeyed perfection. wet: the boozieness disappears when applied and there is a faintly fruits scent with all the spices and honey. this almost smells like a honeyed-sweetened version of a nice sarsaparilla drink. yum, yum, yum! dry: the honey fades a bit but leaves it's distinct sweetness with the spices, which are also lovely and soft. wish i'd ordered another bottle... (edited to add the "dry" portion of the review)

whoa. my cat doesn't. she would eat the toothpaste i use if i'd let her. everytime i brew mint tea i have to guard it because she will dip her paws in it and lick them off. whenever i wear mint anything she comes over as quick as she can with her sniffer going.
-
imp: a jumble of florals. this smells exactly like a shampoo i used in my teens. wet: really, this smells just like floral shampoo to me. likely it's because of the scent memory but that's what it smells like. dry: i think it's the chrysanthemum that i smell most strongly (not the rose this time!) but i still can't give this any other review than floral shampoo. very nice floral shampoo though.
-
imp: super green. smells like there might be cucumber or grass in there. not a hint of lily. wet: this is spicy and green. puts me in mind of flash showers in spring that leave the world sparkly clean. dry: i think this will be a bottle scent for me. it dries to a sweet, spicy, fun green scent. incredibly playful.
-
imp: vetiver. burnt, black, charred vetiver. wet: as usual, it's strong vetiver with that strange sweetness behind it. not my thing but very evocative. dry: i can finally smell the patchouli once this is dry, but waiting this long for the scent to quiet down into something i like is tough.
-
imp: very rich wine with a hint of rose in the background. wet: the rose is threatening to go soapy on me but is kinda teetering with the wine for dominance. this is a really sweet rose and on people with skin chemistry that loves rose, this would be extremely beautiful. dry: i smell the same wine scent i get from prospero but the rose is quite strong in this one so it's a mix of strong wine and strong rose.
-
bottle: an herby cocoa scent. wet: wow. cocoa-dipped apples. yum. dry: this dries to a sweetish-herby cocoa and apple scent. darker than all the other bpal apple scents. this has a very halloweenie feel.
-
imp: oh my. apple blossom and honey make me squee while rose and ylang ylang manke me ill. wet: this is insanely sweet when it's first applied but the rose and ylang ylang ruin it within moments. this is not for me. dry: once dry, this is far prettier than i would have expected. it smells like lightly honeyed apple blossoms, i just don't think i can go through the ick of the wet phase to get here very often.
-
imp: this has the unusually alluring scent of the ash left by incense. woodsy and dusty. wet: this is the most dirty woodsy scent i've yet smelled. this would smell so sexy on the right guy... dry: this has gone from dusty/dirty to strong, dusty cedar. this is so incredibly masculine (to me anyway).

Brings peace to the spirit, a sense of calm and fulfillment, and attracts the aid of beneficial spirits. imp: this is an amazingly sweet, fresh floraly scent that is not the least bit cloying. i'm already thinking i'll get a bottle... wet: darn, this must have some rose in it. it's threatening soapiness but the background scent is still quite lovely. if this did not have rose in it, i would be ordering a couple of bottles right now. dry: the rose is fading and i'll be on the fence about whether or not to buy a bottle. i detest the rose but everything else is breathtaking.
-
bottle: a very buttery, creamy mint. like a more creamy version of lick it. wet: this has gone straight to chocolate mint cookies on me. where tokyo is ceramy, vanilla mint and lick it is super-sugary mint, this is all chocolate mint. dry: this has dried more closely to lick it, a very creamy mint.
-
imp: a floraly pear/plum scent. wet: this has the same pear feel as the perilous parlor but there's far more fruit and flowers in this scent. not a whiff of rose in sight! dry: there is a spicy hint that intensifies as this dries. the fruit and flowers fade and the sweet, spicy scent appears. nice, just not what i was expecting.
-
imp: lots and lots o' myrtle. wet: the myrtle actually fades a bit before a subtle, woodsy incense smell. then there's a jasminey floral scent. dry: there's a nice soft incensey feel to this scent. there is a hint of soapiness on the drydown, not outrageous but there nonetheless.
-
imp: watery sweet pea. wet: this goes are watery and generic floarl perfume on me. the delicate sweet pea scent is lost. dry: very watery with a backdrop of soft florals. much nicer once dry, i just wish the sweet pea were a little more pronounced. eta: waaaaay later the sweet pea emerges and is incredibly lovely. this has an incredible wearlength and moderate throw. i may consider a bottle.
-
imp: a spicy and lightly smoky musk scent. wet: well, the rose is amping but it smells very similar to an incense that i burn frequently. it's not terribly soapy on me so maybe it will be okay once dry. dry: of the rose scents that i've tried this one is quite tame. it still has a sweet, incensey aroma. nice.
