This smells like an incense shop, that is located next door to a bakery. Make that an abandoned incense shop next door to an abandoned bakery. It almost has a haunted house smell to it, a vague dusty aroma. I really like it. It isn't my favorite of the Halloweenies, but it is a melancholy incense scent, and I love incense scents.

The absolute darkest scents? dark, ghostly, haunting, scary,

My favorite dark and spooky blend is Pumpkin #5 from 2005/2006. My review of it... -
This is pure sweet smokiness. I don't get any individual notes, it just smells like sweet smoke. Like the smoke you get from burning sweeter woods like cherry or maple. It also reminds me a bit of Agnes Nutter, without the tang of metal Agnes has.

Death of Autumn is so pretty. Dusty herbs, with a spiciness underneath it all. It goes a touch powdery on me, amber usually does, but it adds to the dry crunchy leaves on the ground aspect. It smells like all of my favorite parts of All Saints, with none of the floral notes that gave me a headache.

This one smells great! It reminds me of going to the local garden center/pumpkin patch to pick out our pumpkins. The chrysanthemums, the hay stacks, the corn field and the fresh cut pumpkins in the carving hall of fame. No spicy pumpkin pie scent here, just a squashy pumpkin note, with lots of dry green herbal notes, and a hint of chrysanthemum.

In the bottle a warm pumpkin cookie scent. On, it smells like a union of Jack, Original Shub, and Gingerbread Poppet. I think it is my favorite pumpkin so far! As it wears it becomes a lovely ginger vanilla, with just a hint of pumpkin. Wonderful.

At first I get a strong laundry detergent aisle smell... But that quickly dissipates, and it becomes beautiful. Light herbal notes, a sweet flowery aroma, and a touch of fruitiness. Then it becomes a sweet sugary floral, with a very light woody background. I may have to hunt a bottle up of this one...

Mmm, Pumpkin #1 is lovely. Buttery pumpkin, a hint of jasmine tea, and sweet grapes. It smells gorgeous on, gourmet without being foody. Two for two so far on the pumpkin patch.

Ooh, caramel pumpkin. A bit of fruitiness, I get more of a dry fruit note than pomegranate. Almost a raisin scent, a creamy hint of white chocolate, a little bit of toasted nuts, and then caramelized pumpkin.

This smells like Burial without the juniper berry notes. This blend is a fresh, damp, green, tree scent. No pine, just very green. A hint of aquatic note, almost herbal smelling. I love it. The Estate Collection gets a 7 out of 7 for wear-ability. I wanted the bottles anyway, but I am so happy I can wear them all too! Fantastic Job on these!

Sweet vanilla pears! This one is yummy, I want to eat my hand off. Fresh pear, sweet vanilla, a bit creamy, and utterly gorgeous. Love it.

The Ghastly Garden, wet, green, sweet floral. Yum! Did I just type that? I hate florals, but this one too, is lovely. A very wet green scent over all, a sweet fruity note, and light floral. The Attic is a dry sweet floral, this one is a wet sweet floral. I like both!

The Chilling Cellar, a hint of dragon's blood, sweetness, and a chilly, dusty base note. The dragon's blood does not get the floral note that most of the dragon blends have on me. Definitely a keeper.

October, wet leaves, a bit cologne-y during the dry down, but it goes away quickly. It is a lovely green scent, and best of all, it isn't a pine scented green scent. I love green scents, but hate pine so this is going to be well-loved.

The Atrocious Attic, sweet floral. I don't get any individual flower, just the scent of a dried out bouquet. There is a sweetness and earthiness under the blend that makes it wearable, even for me, a floral hater. Surprisingly I like it, I got the whole set for the labels, but it is a keeper for scent not just the label. ETA 10/15/07: Today when I wore this, I smelled Alice. It was a bit more of a grown up Alice like scent, and no milkiness. But it was very similar. It must be the tea rose.

The Forbidding Foyer, a rich alcoholic blast of cognac. It smells like you could get drunk from smelling it. Woodiness in the background. It smells like an expensive Irish Whiskey. I love, love, love it. I am adding a back-up bottle to my "I forgot to get the forum scents order!"

The Lurid Library, dusty incense. It is very light, a bit of sweet musk, and the dusty incense. I can smell the old books, that dry papery smell they get with age. A keeper.

The scent of tea - BPAL's tea note, BPAL blends like your favorite tea
Finny replied to sarada's topic in Recommendations
Not BPAL, but Lush's Flying Fox shower gel smells just like Jasmine Tea to me. There is a temple balm available too, though I have never smelled it so I don't know if it smells the same. -
Cake, cookies, donuts, baked goods, even Cinnabon

I get cinnamon biscuits from The Lion. -
Fabulous. A sweet cedar scent, the raspberry leaf adds an herbal fruit note to it. The vetiver is light in this blend on me. A good thing as sometimes it takes over. Reminds me of early fall. Picking blackberries in the cool of the morning. A keeper.

Cold and wet. Beth can capture a idea so well with scent. This is a lovely smelling blend. But it also conjures up the depths of the ocean. In a not so gentle day at the seashore way...
-
Ah, fir tree. A very dark woodsy scent. Like walking in a dark forest, crunching through the pine needles, trying to find your way. And you can't. A keeper just for the atmosphere it captures.
-
Ah, a sweet lovely smell from the imp. Once it hits my skin, the florals come out and overpower it...
-
In the imp I smell honey. Yes, lovely honey on at first. Sweet and luscious. It smells a bit like Alice... then it becomes a wonderful earthy floral. Lovely.

Sweet, dark musk, with a hint of leather. Lovely, warm cozy scent for me. Like sitting in leather chair by the fireplace. Very nice.
