Just received this today and I am seriously and deeply in love! Heady, foody, but sexy to the max...wore it out this evening to an event and was literally sniffed by several men and even more women asked what I was wearing! VERY long-lasting,the carmel really comes out after a couple of hours and just lingers like you bathed in butterscotch...I get bread pudding with spicy sauce at first and then it simmers down to creamy carmel lushness. Bought two bottles with intent to share but NO WAY!

Thanks so much, adding it to my list... It just "seems right" for the Spring fashions I'm seeing now... That and tuberose...uber-feminine,heady,and glam! I wore "Fracas"(a very sweet gardenia scent...) for a long time years ago but now,of course,I have BPAL,LOL! I have a gardenia shrub outside my studio but it was so rainy here last year,it never bloomed...hoping for heaven this Summer though!

Thanks so much! I couldn't find this thread when I looked but was nicely directed here! Making a list and cannot wait to try a few of these!

Is there a BPAL scent you could recommend that is absolutely gardenia-based? It's fine if it's a blend too as long as that note is obvious... Full-blown,over the top,and goregous? I am craving it for Spring... Thanks so much!

Rose Recommendations - which blend is for me?

Rose Red makes me sneeze every time I try it I do think it's beautiful "true rose" however. I LOVE Zombi,it has a bit of dark earthiness to it, as well as Black Rose, which is also a bit darker, and Harlot...more subtle but the rose comes to the top on me quickly! I guess I prefer(or rather my chemisty does) the not-so perfect roses, those with a bit of dirt or other blended it... Three Five Seven (which I fought for on Ebay,LOL!) smells like nothing aftre 3 minutes, seriously,it goes away but I have read that others love it! Penciling in Pride on my "must try" list... -
Really nice, just got an imp from my decant circle and want a bottle! Luscious and a bit sweet but with a truly seductive quality and although it's not "heavy",it seems to linger a long time... Elegant and lovely!

Just received my Yule decants and really like this one! I agree with the leaves and a bit of dirt but love that bite that sits on the topnote... Not what I usually wear or even like but I think I need a bottle,it's really a unique and complex scent. Smells to me like "that girl" in the club that looks like she has "seen things and been around" and couldn't even tell you why! Maybe she's danced with more than a few guys and their scents have been absorbed a bit, she's re-applied her own cheap scent throughout the night, and then also sprayed that oh so pricey coveted one on in the ladies room after begging the attendant for a free-spritz?

Tried the frimp I have...I absolutely agree that it is seduction in a bottle and need to get a big one! I am not a "spicey girl",prefer foodys and florals but this absolutely sent me reeling and my husband kept sniffing around,LOL!

Got mine today...was sort of suprised,it really says "Spring" on me, very much a straight-up lily-scent which reminds me of "Anais Anais" a lovely one I used to wear... Soft and feminine,I shall save my bottle for the first warm day of Spring!

I love Black Rose...out of the roses I have tried (3,5,7, Rose Red, Peacock Queen, and Zombi) I think it's the sexiest. It really does envoke darkness, danger, and I think it's what the rose "The Phantom" gives to Christine would smell like!

2007 edition Just received and tried it last night...a bit "boozy" to me in the bottle, slathered it on before bed and then waited...OMG!!! It sort of went away for a few and THEN came back all fruity, warm, and happy! An undertone of "sex under the Christmas tree after a good bottle of wine" in there as well? Sort of like a "Bordello" but with more plum and a bit of spice... I'm not good at picking out the perfection of the "notes"like so many of your are but just try to describe how it "feels when I smell it",LOL! This is a glam-scent,I agree it's perfect for parties and ultra festive! A winner for me!!!

Just got my bottle today...2007 edition Y'all describe this SO beautifully, not sure I can add more except to say it's the "Rose of my Dreams!" Heady, totally indulgent, and a seductive, bursting cloud of roses...exactly the scent the word "rose" would trigger in my mind. Have to get more, this one is a WOW! ADDED Dec. 1: I love this rose but I sneezed a LOT after I put it on... Will try once more but am afraid it doesn't love me back. A perfect red rose, the one you remember from the best bouquet ever!

Dressed as a "Goth-y Doll" and smelled like "Dark Delicacies!"

"O" makes me feel soooo sexy BUT my guy "reacts" and "over reacts" in a truly unbelieveable way to "Fallen..." -
The absolute darkest scents? dark, ghostly, haunting, scary,

I am rather new but so far "Wanda" has totally left me cold...she smells like the bar after closing time when you're picking up those cruddy-ashtrays that whiskey has been dumped in along with the ciggies and of un-washed bodies doing the nasty,LOL! Smells like desparation at 2:00 am and you know what I mean! Glad I sampled her but she will not be touched again... -
I also can't think of a thing to add that hasn't already been beautifully described...bought a bottle sight and smell unseen based ont he reviews, dabbed a bit on last night and I still smell what I believe, every woman wants to smell like....beyond-sexy,warm,and totally feminine! My new "everyday" scent for sure,I don't care if the whole world wants to sniff and follow,LOL!

Newbie here but already I can say that I had an "effect" from "Les Fleurs du Mal" (the flowers of evil...) that if I hadn't experienced it,I wouldn't have believed it! My head swam,I had a "vision" of being someplace dark and forboding and honestly, although my husband noticed the scent and liked it a lot,I washed it off later in the day as it was seriously causing me to feel dis-connected and troubled...almost nauseous and paranoid, very unlike me. The imp is in a pretty wooden box on my dressing table but is still annoying me,LOL! Is this odd? It's just a drop of of scent,I know... I live in a lovely 100 yr. old stone farmhouse that DOES have a bit of a "history" but has never made me feel strange in the slightest (and I tend to be very "tuned in"...) This scent made me feel like someone was watching me...I still can't believe it,the imp must GO!
