Bottle: Rum. Delicous, buttery, omg, rum. Wet: RUM! Delicious, buttery, omg, rum. Dry: RUM! Omg, candle. Noooooooooooooo. I love this stuff in the bottle and in the wet phase, but it dries to Autumn-scented candle, which I'd rather not be smelling like all day. This would probably be AWESOME as a room scent, though, as I love Autumn, rum, and pumpkin scented candles.

I had high hopes for this scent, but it was only "meh" to me. Bottle: vanilla, cakey, nuttiness. Wet: I get a juicy berry mixed in with the cake. Dry: Cakey/berry. At one point, however, I swear I smelled vomit. Yes, vomit. It vanished almost as quickly as I smelled it, but still. I got the vomit smell twice. Throw: Average Wearlength: long. I'll be giving it a second chance, but if I get vomit again, I'll chuck it out the window.

I so wanted to love this. I wanted warm, spicy, sexy vanilla. All I'm sniffing is spicy. No vanilla at all. I had such high hopes. Oh well, I guess I'll age it a bit and see how it goes from there.

OMG. This scent... I was dubious at first, b/c of the tobacco... but this scent is SO beautiful. Along with Tiki Queen, this is my favorite of the scents I just bought. Bottle: Alcohol saturated coconut. Wet: Strong and sweet coconut and rum. Dry: This is where my skin starts amping the tobacco... oh, it's gorgeous and all the notes compliment each other in a way I've never experienced before. Throw: Average Wearlength: long! This is the first BPAL scent that I completely and totally fell in LOVE LOVE LOVE with. Just absolutely gorgeous.

In the bottle: Coconut Wet: Coconut and Shea. Dry: The coconut fades and my skin really amps the Shea. Throw: Average to strong Wearlength: Long This scent was a bit disappointing... I was expecting more coconut and less Shea. I think the Shea and milky scents make this a bit too sweet for my taste. Every once in a while, my nose would catch a whiff of slightly soured milk... it wasn't too often, but it was enough for me to decide that I won't wear it alone. I'm going to try layering this w/ Tiki Queen to see what I get.

I love this. Although I wish the coconut and vanilla notes were a bit stronger, I still love this. In the vial: Candy. Sweet, fruity candy. Wet on skin: Fruity candies, and the florals are starting to come through. Dry on skin: Monoi de Tahiti, YES! I can also smell the hibiscus and neroli. The candy/fruity smell has faded into the background. Again, I was only slightly disappointed about the seemingly absent coconut/vanilla notes, but this scent is so beautiful that it doesn't really matter to me. I'm glad I got a bottle, as this will be my staple summer scent. Average throw and wearlength.

I ordered this last Fall as my first BPAL purchase, and I was not disappointed. In the vial: Crisp greenery tinged with a slightly acrid smokiness. Wet on skin: Dead, wet leaves. The smokiness is still there, though not as acrid and it has an undercurrent of sweetness, which must be the sap. Dry on skin: Mellower, smoother version of the wet stage. Throw: Average. Wearlength: Long. This is absolutely gorgeous. I can see how some might think it masculine, but to me it evokes memories of walking outside on a crisp, grey, Autumn morning. The wet leaves sticking to my shoes and the cool moisture in the air dampening my sweater. Autumn is my favorite season, and October is my favorite month... this scent is a perfect tribute.
