Hello, odd skin chemistry! I didn't get any lemon or cookies or similar things to the reviewers upthread. Instead, when I first tried this on, I got a blast of banana. Whut? The banana dried away and it tried to be lotus/bubblegum for a while (only similarity to earlier reviewers) and that finally went away too (not a fan) and now it's cherry. Like fake cherry candy, or--I have a cherry air freshener in my car that smells like this. Like the idea of what a candy cherry would smell like, but in no way like a real cherry. I like the ending scent, just not the drydowns to get there!

Antique Lace on steroids. It's like AL on me but about 3x more throw and longevity. It's actually almost too much after a while! Beautiful but bordering on heavy.
-
It's so weird; I love roses, but I don't get much rose out of this one (goblin squirt from the lab). I get much more of the greenery. In fact, I had it confused with Down the Rabbit Hole for a bit because I smelled so much "sticks" in it and no rose. It is pretty, though--I just wonder if I got a low-rose batch?

I don't really like the released version because of the dust note, but this proto seems to have little to no dustiness to it--yay! It smells on me almost exactly like the cinnamon of El Dia De Reyes (the 2007 version in particular). It's like that cinnamon note with no chocolate and little coffee. I really, really like this but as it dries down almost exactly like 2007 El Dia, I can at least get the scent when I use up my decant.

Sadly, this smelled awesome at first on me--a big blast of strawberry gum!--and then quickly faded into artificial strawberry deodorant
I usually do well with strawberry scents, so I think it's the mimosa that makes this smell "off."

I'm wearing my teeny bit of Formula 54 today to ring in an auspicious new year! (and a wonderful smelling one)

I amp rose, so this is mainly rose on me, but it's a complex, sexy rose--probably because of the other notes at play, but I can't pick any one out on me. If I compare this to Peacock Queen or another rose scent, F54 is so much darker, deeper, and beautiful. I don't particularly smell clove or lipstick; it just smells like a deep, rich perfume from an earlier era. Beautiful--and hard to get

Almost all jasmine on me, and sadly the lab's jasmine never works on me. The combination of the jasmine and rose (which does work on me) makes this over-the-top floral and cloying.

I love rose scents, and I really am not getting a lot of rose out of this. I also cannot do snow scents--Snow White is always terrible on me--and this smells slightly, but not heavily, of Snow White.
What this does smell like on me is a small, rose-shaped, "pink" scented guest soap in a hotel bathroom or that pink soap that comes out of gas station liquid soap holders. It smells like the color pink, but not like a light, girlish pink that might be bubblegum or candy, but on me at least a nauseating pink that's like gas station bathroom soap that won't wash off.

I amp red ginger, so this smelled like screeching red ginger on me with a bit of dusty musk. Like War and Mme Moriarty mixed, but really heavy on the War. Overall, it was spicy, dusty, and hot.

This is Huesos de Santos on me with maybe 50% less "cake" note to it, or Monsterbait: Closet with orange instead of blackberry. It's mostly sweet, almost candy-sweet orange (juice?) with a bit of vanilla-like cake in the background. No spice on me. It's nearly identical to Huesos de Santos on me, too, as I never got much anise out of that one, sadly.

This shares a dusty/honey scent with Honey Moon on me. Both were nice at first but then became overwhelming in their powderiness rapidly. I don't really get the tea or wool here, just dust and beeswax/honey.
-
I applied this today and at first, it smelled much like Snake Charmer Resurrected or aged Mme Moriarty, which must be because of the musk and patchouli.
Unfortunately, about 10 minutes in, it became nauseatingly heavy, floral, and sweet. I think it might be the orchid; I had the same problem with Mircalla, Countess Karnstein. Both became headachingly cloying.

Leather's usually pretty awful on me (except in Spanked where I can't smell it) but here I don't smell leather. In fact, if I had to say what this smells like on me, I'd say Schwarzer Mond 2006. Weird, huh? I didn't think they'd have any notes in common, but they smell nearly exact on me. I like SM06, so this isn't bad, but I was expecting something very different.

This is mostly orange on me ... it's actually more like orange blossom than the fruit of the orange itself. There's a smooth, wood-like backdrop to it as well. The orange/orange blossom is the top note and the soft, smooth woods are the base notes. All over, it's well-blended and smooth.

Interesting--hardly any pear on me (which is fine) and what I am left with is a vanilla that is like Antique Lace.
-
Sadly, all this smelled like on my pillow was sticks. Sticks and dirt. I didn't get marmalade or much grass. Just ... branches.
-
This is fantastic. It's like a sweeter Mme. Moriarty on me (I'm wearing it as perfume) and it makes me soft too. The red musk really comes out nicely but it's smooth and the fruit notes add a hint of sweetness.

This was all sexy cinnamon and spices on me. I love it! If you're like me and none of the Lab's pumpkin perfumes work on you, don't worry--this doesn't have that butter-pumpkin note that Jack and the Pumpkin Patch have. This is more of the pumpkin pie spices that would show up in a real pumpkin pie.
-
This actually smelled mostly like linden blossom to me: very sweet, floral, and just a touch of honey. It's pretty light, though. The scent is not heavy at all and quite floral.
-
This smells much like LUSH's Avobath bath bomb: Bright, clean lemongrass! Not the most long-wearing on me, but beautiful while it lasts.
-
Whereas Snowblind was far too buttery for my tastes and How Doth the Little Crocodile has cedar in it, Tokyo Stomp is, indeed, the perfect crisp mint. Mint takes front and center--no butter note of doom for me--and it has fair lasting power. GRARGH! Tokyo Stomp gooooood.

When I was younger I had several scented erasers that never quite smelled like the thing they were supposed to be. So I'd have an orange-shaped "orange" scented eraser, for example. This scent is much like that kind of eraser. It smells "orange"-like but I think the aquatics in it are making it smell like that childhood eraser. Evocative, but ultimately not me.

Red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting against a backdrop of Snake Oil, Dorian, and Doc Constantine!
At first I smelled the cake, much like Beaver Moon 05, which didn't work on me. Then the cake faded really fast and I was left with a somewhat sour underlying scent which I imagine is the Dorian and Snake Oil and Doc Constantine mix. In fact, I'm smelling the pine in Doc Constantine that I usually get, so it's like cake with pine underneath

My mom used to buy me birch beer and sassafras soda when I was younger. This smells so fantastically like sassafras soda to me! It's effervescent and root beer-y on my skin. Bottle worthy!
