A little faint, but it reminds me a great deal of Madame Moriarty. Sweet, but not too much so, with a touch of incense to it, and the wine note doesn't overwhelm and scream BOOZE! at you and everyone that passes you by.

I've always loved leather notes in the other BPAL imps I've gotten, so I knew I had to try this one. The result? Most satisfying. Not too bitter or oily or tar-like - this is the blissful smell of GOOD leather, the kind you just want to roll in and stick your nose right next to it. Definitely getting a big bottle of this ASAP.

Very light, watery, melon-like - both in the bottle and once dried. It's more of a floral than an herbal, which surprised me; I was expecting an absinthe smell with the wormwood. It's rather faint and doesn't stay for very long on me, but I don't much care for melon scents, anyways. This would be a good scent for the summertime.

Exactly as per the description - a beautiful blend of incense. It reminds me quite a lot of Cathedral, but without the stone and beeswax candles added in. Lovely.

I am not a floral lover, but YE GODS I would be happy to wear this many a time. I'm not even familiar enough with the flowers listed here to be able to pick out which note is strongest, but they are well balanced by the incense notes. Not too bitter and incensy, but not too sickly sweet. This is not your grandmother's floral perfume. This is the perfume of a witch who knows her craft.

Honestly, although the ingredients say "tangerine, saffron, vetiver, black amber and cedarwood", I didn't even get a HINT of tangerine in this. There was perhaps a small hint of saffron in this, and I could smell a bit of the amber and ceder, but the vetiver was OVERWHELMING. A dark and bitter scent with sharp slivers interlaced.

Honestly, I can't see the "green" that everyone is mentioning here. It's a very light, aquatic scent, a pale blue. It actually reminds me QUITE a bit of lotus blossoms and lily pads, with the water around it lightly scented from the flowers. Not really to my taste, as I'm not much of a floral person, but I can see this being a very comforting, calming scent for some people.

THIS is the scent of autumn - lovely real apple cider, sweet with that touch of fizzy bitterness, with an addition of mulling spices and cinnamon. I can't even smell the orange peels in this, which is odd because orange usually amps on me, and the cinnamon notes for once don't turn into a complete disaster. Overall, a definite winner. I had to have a full bottle of this after just sniffing a friend's imp. My only lament is that it fades all too quickly on my skin.

Mirroring what others have said: this is not a dark, burnt smelling oil. There isn't a scent of dry, dead leaves or decomposing wood in this; rather, it is the scent of freshly pulled vines, withering but still green, and dusty dry wood, all touched with a crisp, cool autumn wind. It is a very cologne-like scent. There was more of a herbal, green scent in the bottle than while on my skin, but it does remind me of good, fresh aftershave.
