Hello! I'm looking for a pumpkin patch scent from any of the years. I'm a little overwhelmed, because there are so many. I'm looking for a fall pumpkin scent. I've tried these three: Jack: I've had my Jack imp for a while, years probably and I believe it was second hand. So, age is not a factor. It smells like a candle and there's something 'off' about it. I think it might be the clove. Pumpkin Patch 2 05 +06 This one is close, but a little too foody for me. I like it a lot better than Jack because it doesn't smell like a candle or have that 'off' note. Pumpkin Queen: This is what I was hoping Jack to be. I really like this one, but alas, it's almost impossible to find. It's warm and perfect. So, I basically don't want something overly foody. I like woody scents, but not pine or fir, I like warm scents, leather doesn't work on my skin (bug spray), I really want to try Pumpkin 1 05 +06 but that's also difficult to find... Recs, please?

uhm...when I smelled this I immediately thought of Flowerbomb by Viktor & Rolf, but with a prominent lavender note. It was not what I was expecting at all, I can assure you that, but I still like it. I like it a lot, actually...

The Phantom Cow of Yerba Buena Island
loladae replied to midnight_aeval's topic in Event Exclusive Oils
In imp: Milky and green On skin: The milk is very prominent here, but there's some greeness in the background. The only onther BPAL milk blend I've tried was The Sea Foams Milk, which I thought was gross, but I just had to try Phantom Cow because I live in California and love it. Later on: It's balanced very well. The green grassy note steps up, and it reminds me of the acres of fields, whenever we take long drives, strewn with cows. It's throw is moderate. I'm definitely keeping this imp, but I don't think I need a bottle. -
Like Snake Oil really needs more reviews... Anywho, I of course bought an imp of Snake Oil with my first bpal purchase two years ago. It was horrible, and I read that it was so I kept it. I tried it through out the year and let it sit in my bpal box for another year. I was determined to make it work. Well...it does! It's definitely not my favorite scent because I don't find it to be amazing or complex (which it's not) but, Snake Oil is most definitely bottle worthy after 2 1/2 years. It'll just have to sit for two years...

I recently acquired a bottle of Velvet from 2006. It's cocoa with myrrh (which is more pronounced) and it doesn't go funky like most chocolate blends do on my skin. It's a more wearable chocolate blend, but a little too sophisticated. It seems like the throw is low, but my nose is kind of stuffed so, maybe not. I'll have to see how much I wear this, and test it a few more times before I decide if I want to keep it or not.

This is my go-to foody scent right now! It's cherry-chocolate at first. Not too sweet and not sharp. Then it's chocolate and orange blossom. I don't wear it often at all, in fact I forgot about. It fades pretty quickly and I have tons more comfort scents, but I could definitely seeing myself buy another imp or two of this...considering mine is almost gone. YUMMY!

Boomslang. Rich cocoa over Snake Oil. I have a bottle that's aged about a year and a half, and it's a beautiful thick, dark oil. It's amazing, I must say, however, it doesn't love me. It goes sharp just like regular snake oil (although it's finally getting better with age), but I'm still keeping this amazing oil in hopes that a miracle will happen.

Yum. This is a creamy, woody scent that doesn't do anything funky on my skin. It's a perfect balance of cedar and vanilla, slightly dusty. And the best part is that I know it will get better with age, although my imp won't be lasting that long...I just had to rave about this! Definitely a favorite and in my top five right now though we all know it will change in a month...

Recently, I've been obsessed with vanilla and more recently, plum so, I've tried a fair amount of vanilla. The only thing that I realize, is their need to age... Antique Lace is my absolute favorite vanilla. It's good when it's fresh but so so yummy when its aged. It's more sophisticated and I would definitely say the name fits. In my recent order, I got Tombstone, which I don't think I'll wear that much but it's definitely in top three vanillas. It's a woody vanilla that I really like. Hunger doesn't scream 'vanilla' to me at all, but it definitely plays a part in the scent. I need to see how it age, but this one is probably tied with Tombstone. Snake Oil doesn't work. And trust me, I've tried. My imp is now aged a year and a half and well as my bottle of Boomslang (which is omfg delicious) and it turns on me. And I feel greedy because I'm not giving my aged delicious cocoa snakey up!! I have to let Dragon's Milk and Morocco age because right now, they're sort of bland. Morocco has that same fresh vanilla as Antique Lace, but I like Antique Lace much much better and it doesn't have nearly as much staying or wafting power. INEZ is my go-to comfort scent! It's an amazing vanilla and amber mix Lastly, Lyonesse is really nice, but it's not nearly as nice as Antique Lace or Inez. I love my vanillas.

This would be my Holy Grail scent. It smells like aged Mme. Moriarty but with raspberry and a little more complex. It has that same fresh scent. I adore it. And it would be my signature scent....if only it worked on me. It turns sharp and horrible like Mme. Moriarty almost does, what Embalming Fluid does and so many others. I'm still greedy and want a bottle though.

I began my plum obsession first with aged Mme. Moriarty and then with Crypt Queen ....which doesn't work on my skin but that's a good thing, right? If you ever get a chance to try it, it's pure amazingness, but it smells a lot like aged Mme. Moriarty, but with raspberry. Anyways I love those notes like no other. So with my Strawberry Moon, I also ordered a vanilla and plum imp pact. BORDELLO: I was a bit hesitant about buying this because wine usually doesn't work, but oh my god. This is so GOOOOOD! It's yummy and pretty and actually works with my skin. This is definitely going in my top five. I'm bad at placing scents, but looking at the description, I wouldn't have guessed the notes. It's definitely a light, fruity scent that needs slathering. It's blended well and very cuddley. PRUNELLA: The imp screams wildflowers which is fine by me. I really like this one because it's plum with a green edge. FRUMIOUS BANDERSNATCH: This one disappears on my skin so I can only smell some musk, which is horrible because I love all of the notes. I'm hoping it's because I'm all sniffed out. In the dry down I can smell the spicy carnations, but still no plum Bordello definitely deserves the hype.

I tried a sniffie, and it was a beautiful crystalline scent. At least, that's how I remember it to be. I recently bought a bottle and it's much more sweet! Upon first application (of the bottle), it reminded me slightly of Cheshire Moon. It's still sweet; I get the creaminess from it. I'll have to test this one more and see... WTA: Super dry this is exactly how I remember it to be! I can still smell the milk and cream but it's definitely not the dominant feature. It's perfectly balanced. It just takes a while to get there....but it's beautiful!

My spring scents are Croquet, Alice and Cheshire Moon (and not just because I love Alice and Wonderland so much). Croquet is my favorite floral blend, Alice is so cute and innocent and Cheshire Moon is a yummy foody-floral I love so much!

I need HELP! So, I love rose. I didn't like Two, Five and Seven (old lady rose) but I continually sniff Rose Red (the most beautiful single rose scent ever) and Zombi (also tied with Rose Red for favorites but with dirt). However, I have a big problem. They turn to soap on me if anyone has the same experience with rose scents but found one that worked, please tell me. I'd use them in my scent locket, but it's broken for the time being. Thanks!

THIS SCENT IS AMAZING. I knew I would love it. Unfortunately... it turned HORRIBLE on me. luckily I have a scent locket because I'm not letting this go. It's just so beautiful.

I do love amber because it's so comforting, and though I've found a few that are wonderful I'm still looking for more. I've tried Inez which I love initially. I'm guessing it's the 'golden amber' I love, although I haven't tried that many different kinds and I'm trying to branch out. This one was like yummy cookies but it faded and went off on my skin. The Lion is my favorite, though I think I got an aged imp...it's just so simple and warming. I haven't tried it in a while so I should compare to Inez Haunted was in my first order and I didn't like it. It was powdery and old. O was too sweet and it went off on my skin. Cytherea wasn't interesting and I thought it was okay but it didn't leave much of an impression. Eisheth Zenunim too. I didn't like the amber (or scent really) in Hollywood Babylon Lyonesse is beautiful. It's definitely on my top three (along with The Lion and Inez) for amber scents. I can't remember any moer off the top of my head... have any suggestions for more amber scents to try?

That was my response too. Honestly, I was NOT expecting to like this. I'm not a lemon fan (as a scent) though I love straight up lemons or added to stuff (except sweets though I'm getting off-topic) anyhow I can really see myself wearing this in the summer. I don't LOVE it, and I don't think I'd get a bottle (though maybe one more imp) but this is really nice and it makes me happy

It's very soft on me. The bergamot amps and reminds me of a less complex and sharp version of Croquet. I'll stick to Croquet.

I recently moved to Europe and while I'm moving back in 8 months I'm not about to change everything. Paypal, however, doesn't allow you to change a US address to an international one. What should I do? Do you think I could type it in a note or something? It makes it a bit difficult to send oversea gifts, I can imagine.

A WOODY PATCHOULI SCENT I LIKE! *1 second later* where did it go? The most faintest blend ever. *Kicks dirt*

Naturally, this is my 'tea party' scent. So innocent and lovely. Before smelling it, I got a 5ml (first bpal experience ever too) because I love Alice in Wonderland. It sounded perfect. It's just how you'd expect and I love that.
-
Oh man. This is good. Top tener for sure. It's perfect for spring and the summer. Unfortunately for me, I just rediscovered it today. Well....this one smells like fresh, clean deodorant, to me. I never knew I wanted to smell like that before. It's beautiful, though. Makes me feel clean, fresh and happy.

So good. This one grew on me. It's definitely unique, but not unwearable. It's bright and dark at the same time. I feel like the base note is this coconut tai soup I love, but I think that could be the white ginger. Anyway, I wouldn't have guessed it would smell this ay from the notes but, I also don't know what white ginger smells like.

EXACTLY as described. . . in the bottle. It's amazing and unique. Unfortunately, my skin skin eats it up a leaves a perfumey scent. Wow. . . maybe I'll try my scent locket, but if not, this is up for swaps/sales. anyone else curious to see how much this goes for?
