This is so beautiful. I do like floral scents in concept, but BPAL florals never really do it for me. THis, however, is deep, calming and breathtaking. I really love the rhododendron. Okay, so it's not very floral. It's a lot more aquatic. It doesn't have as much depth on my skin, or a lot of throw, so I don't think I'll get a bottle in my near future, but it is so pretty!

There's not much to add that hasn't been said. To me, this is a lot like the inscription. I get some vetiver, but it's not overpowering. It's mostly fresh grass mingled in loam. Kind of murky. I like it, but it's more novelty for me, so I'll just keep my imp

Leather with vanilla = Liz Dee is a great dusty book leather and Hellfire is a great leather with tobacco.

I was really lucky to be able to try this. There's definitely leather and cookies which certainly makes a licorice vibe. later on the dry down they are less like two entities and more like licorice and leather. It sounds weird but I assure you they complement each other very well. To me this compares to Liz which is smoky vanilla and lighter. I like this one a lot better, unfortunately as I'v never smelled a BPAL blend like it.

Ugh. I was so looking forward to this. I'll have to try another decant or let my empty age because this smells like: New leather shoes (the ones with that sharp smell) with a teensy bit of snake oil.

In the imp I definitely catch the caramel. On the skin, it smells like coffee as someone else has noted. The cinnamon and a bitter note are apparent. I like it, but I don't love it. I don't notice the caramel once it has dried on my skin. It's a dark coffee blend now. I'll keep my imp to see how it ages.

For me it's Dragon's Milk and Hunger and for throw too!

This scent is awesome. Not much to add to what's been said. It smells like cake-my friend commented on that before she knew the name of it. I can definitely smell Dorian in it, which is great because that's one of my favorite scents. I think Cake Smash will also be great for layering, and I'm going to try some tonight. If cake appeals to you, or you're a Dorian fan, don't hesitate to try this. I'm sure it will age well, as a bonus.

NO! At first this was boysenberry pancakes and oh so yummy. Now, it's kind of off, and very light. I'll have to re-test this one. I was so looking forward to it.

I mostly smell leather in this with some smoke and softness. The leather smells like the one in Hellfire. I like it, but it's not my favorite leather scent.

I was really excited to try this at first, but I was really dissapointed. I pretty much forgot about it except for a couple time, but I've recently been basically craving it as an after shower perfume. I think the culprit in Snowcake from Lush...anyways, this is a great skin scent. Very delicate and soft. I do wish it was stronger, but it's very cuddly and I think I need a bottle because my imp is almost out. And that's the rule...right?

I also got this one on a whim. I was kind of nervous about it, but I love it! The dandelion, currant, wine...it has a very magical appeal to it (which it should). Very pretty and perfect for spring and summer. If the note appeal to you, I highly recommend it. I can't wait until it gets warm enough to wear this.

I'm not Snake Oil's biggest fan, but I've made it a point to try every Snake Pit scent. I've tried only a few including Cottonmouth, Coral Snake, Boomslang, Banded Sea Snake and this one. Let me tell you, I was not expecting to like this one as much as I do. I thought I didn't like fruity scents, but this one and Bordello have proved me wrong. It's amazing. It smells kind of familiar. Top note accai berry with an amazing vanilla-y middle/base note. I can't detect the neroli, amber or cardamom, but I'm sure they're rounding out the main notes. After it dries down more, the vanilla note takes over with the berry in the background. It's enticing and I need a bottle of this one.

I really like this! Usually chocolat-y scents turn, but this doesn't. It's not very chocolate-y either. On my skin I can smell the oakmoss, pistacio and greed cedar. It's really light and I agree with the comparison to Tombstone (my favorite). It's a reminisence of that. I'll probably keep my imp, but I won't need a bottle.

I think this is the oddest, most mysterious blend I ever came across. I think my first impressions were along the lines of: wood? And I was exceedingly surprised when I saw the note descriptions. It's slightly foody and so odd. I can barely describe it. I really like this one, but it's not one of my favorites although I'll probably get a new imp if this one runs out. This is definitely unique and should be tried!

Of course I'd fall in love with this scent after it was discontinued and impossible to find...it was one of those scents I had overlooked before. It smelled like bugspray to me earlier in my BPAL career. I avoided leather after the incident. Then, I purchased an imp of Dee on a whim because it had so many raves. And...I loved it. So, of course I had to explore leather all over again and every leather scent I've tried since had been awesome. I needed some De Sade for the collection. Pure leather. Pure Amazing. Luckily, I have Dee, but it's not the same pure leather I will treasure my 1/2 imp in hopes for more.

I totally get the Dorian reference! To me this is a smoother, lighter, more aquatic-y Dorian. It doesn't have the strong throw of Dorian, and I already have a 10ml bottle of Dorian so I don't need this but it is nice! After a while, however, something sort of goes 'off.'

It smells like cinnamon gum...I hope it ages better.

...okay I get it now. I bought a bottle last year, after the raves and because I wanted an autumn scent. I didn't like it or understand it. It was too blended and smelled like a candle. I swapped it away. I bought a decant this year, because I still am looking for my perfect autumn scent and I didn't want to give up. At first I smelled it and thought 'yup. Just as I remembered it.' I put it away, then after a week or less resmelled it. Now, it's wonderful and spicey. Nothing stands out to me that much. It's just smooth, slightly dark, slightly cozy and wonderful. I'm really glad I ordered this again and I might get a full bottle of THIS version...just to be safe.

TOOTHPASTE?! The dry down smells like autumn apples, but it takes too long and it's too light. Does anyone else get this? I'm hoping aging will help beccause I want golden apples, darnit.

... His scent is soft English leather, rosewood and tonka with a hint of incense, parchment and soft woods. I surprisingly love this. Leather never worked on me until this scent. To me, it smells very very similar to my favorite perfume, Tombstone, just without the vanilla, and a little more deeper and complex. I can definitely see myself wearing this a lot.

This is one of my surprise favorites. I get no corn. Just snicker-doodles and it's amazing. Spicy and sweet sugar cookies. Very smooth, very very yummy. I'm going to need a bottle of this.

This one is so pretty! While The Passionate Shepherd to his Love was more of a straight meadow scent, this one has pretty flowers and a more magical feel. I don't need a bottle, but I'll wear this in the spring for my grassy fix.

I'm really disappointed. I've been coveting this scent for a while, and when I finally got it, it smelled very cologne-y. Later it gets a touch of that 'fresh snow' scent I was looking for, but no autumn leaves. I was hoping this would be the scent of when I was in Switzerland in the late fall-clear air, a bit of snow and leaves. It also stays close to the skin. I'll be retesting this one many times.

In imp: PUMPKINNNNN!!!!! I can't detect any of the other notes, although the beeswax is probably just mixing with the pumpkin well. On Skin: Pumpkin and asphalt. Pumpkin is more prominent, then asphalt comes out later. It’s kind of weird. It doesn’t blend, but I like it. I’m starting to smell the beeswax candles, but I don’t smell the beer. Later, the smoke and asphalt mellow out and blend more. I love this pumpkin note, but it’s not the pumpkin scent I was looking for.
