    Pruno

This smells better wet than dry on me. Wet, I get the oranges, I get... something else, but I'm not completely certain what. I DO get apples. Mainly oranges, though. But as it dries... hmmm... you know those free little soaps you get in hotels? Or sometimes in gift sets that you get bought which aren't from the most expensive of places? Hmmm. Yes. It's THAT smell. That smell exactly with just a teeny hint of background fizz. It's not unpleasant... and it certainly is clean... but hmmm. I'm not sure. Perhaps I'll try it again and get a different result. Not one of my favourites, I'm afraid.

    Jailbait

Oooooh! In the Vial and fresh on... sheer, complete pink bubblegum. NOTHING else at all. It was overwhelming. However, after around 10 minutes, little hints of cinnamon began to make their presence felt. I approve. The longer this stays on my skin the stronger the cinnamon scent becomes. I can still smell the bubblegum, but it's faded to the background, and there is a hint of cherry now as well. I do like this. No doubt. I think it's far too young for me though, especially when it's still on wet. If I were to wear it I'd have to make certain it was well dried-down before I ventured out of the door. Not so much Jailbait with me as mutton dressed as lamb, I fear. I'll wear it around the house, though. It does make me smile. See?

    Embalming Fluid

This is only my second ever try (other than imp sniffing). Vial: Fresh and citrusy and tea-y and everything it basically said it was. The musk was lovely. I tried this second, after Dorian, since elements of it were/are similar. Wet: STRONG citrus scent, lemony but as lemon SHOULD smell. The must was also very prominent. Dry: Settled to a gorgeous mix of the scents in the vial. I wore this when meeting a friend and she commented on the tea scent, so that was clearly the strongest throw, although I could still smell a real amalgam of the ingredients. 3 Hours: WHERE'S IT GONE? Faded FAR too quickly. This saddens me because I think I've fallen in love with this scent. I WILL be buying a bottle of it, but the short life is dismaying.

    Dorian

First ever BPAL scent tried, first ever review. Bear with me if my words get all twisted. In Vial: Light and lemony and something else I couldn't quite get until I checked back here and thought "OF COURSE! IT'S TEA!!!" Dorian has taken my BPAL virginity, see, so I'm definitely not used to smelling tea in my perfumes. Wet: Pretty much as it was in the vial. I was initially a little upset since I think I expected something a little stronger. It was very light, certainly detectable, but very much a background scent even if extremely pleasant. Dry: Hmmm. Gone a LITTLE bit lemon sherbetty. Not that that's a BAD thing, but I think I expected more... I don't know... more OOMPH, maybe. This is Dorian Gray after all. 2 Hours Later: OH! THERE it is. He's a sneaky boy! NOW I get the musk, and the vanilla - and it's utterly GORGEOUS. The scent itself seems stronger, too. The lemon's still there, but very faintly, I can smell it on me without having to attach my wrist to my nose, but it's not invasive. It's cuddly and gorgeous and wonderful and it makes me want to go and watch League of Extraordinary Gentlemen because THAT Dorian does things for me as well. I like this. I like this a LOT. If this is the sign of things to come then I'll be colouring myself addicted before very much longer at all.
