I live near the Brown and Haley outlet - makers of Almond Roca and Mountain Bars - would you want anything from the outlet? For nut-haters, they have nutless Roca For the no-sugar folks they have sugar-free as well.

I also have an Oberto jerky outlet local to me - any wants there? My beloved is a jerky fiend. I like it as well, but not nearly as much as he does.

Is there a particular movie genre that you like (Fantasy? Drama? Romantic Comedy? Musicals? TV-Series, etc), and what format would you prefer: DVD, Blu-Ray, or something in the cloud (like Amazon, iTunes, Flixster, etc)? DVD for sure on format. Fantasy and sci-fi tend to be my default genres. I like some musicals, and I would love to start accumulating more classic movies.

Do you like audiobooks? If so, do you have/would you like to try Audible? (I'm an addict, myself.) I like audiobooks. I downloaded a freebie on audible once but haven't actually used it.

 

Chocolate: Love? Hate? Allergic? If love, what are your faves? Chocolate is a good thing. Dark chocolate and white chocolate are preferred. I'm good with added in stuff, think I would pass on the bacon chocolate and such though.

Do you have any long trips coming up? If so, could you use things to occupy yourself? Going out of town for 3 days next weekend, but mostly I entertain myself with yarn, music, studying, and a book if I have one.

What are the three BPALs you would most like to receive - one GC, one not-hard to find LE, and one HTF LE from your dreams?

If you knit/crochet, what sizes of needles do you need? I don't think I *need* any, I do like the woodturned hooks though if anyone has access to such.

 

What styles of artwork do you like? I am all over the board here. Photography especially landscape and macro work, asian-style brush painting, stuff like Brian Froud's work, impressionist...seriously, I'm pretty open.

 

If you cook, would you be interested in-hand made spice mixes/rubs? Absolutely, just nothing too fennel/caraway/rosemary heavy.

Do you have any symbols or totems that are meaningful to you?

 

When you are having a really rough day, what do you like to do/have to make it a little brighter? Play really loud music and dance, sit in my garden with a cup of tea. I desperately want to say snuggle with my puppydog, but she passed in February and thinking about curling up around her right now just makes me ache.

 

Would you like if your witch sent a regional pop/soda? If so, what type (Root beer, creme soda, cola, citrus-flavored, chocolate-flavored, etc...)? I'm not sure about chocolate soda, but anything else sounds interesting...fruit, creamsoda, root beer, ginger...I don't drink much soda, but I enjoy the non-standard flavors the most.

Zombie or Cthulhu? pfft. Honestly I don't have much preference. I don't care for the zombie craze though. Except for Shaun of the Dead. Love (and own) that movie. Cthulu is cool at least.

How about any fiber allergies? Favorite color for knitted items? Bring it! I love other people's crafts. I don't actually own any knitted socks or slippers, or any critters, but I'd welcome whatever. Knitted wearables I'd prefer not pastels but otherwise anything goes. I keep being told I look good in blues and purples. No fiber allergies. I love soft, pettable things, my favorite thing of my own is a shawl made of baby alpaca, but I'm totally not a fiber snob, a nice soft acrylic yarn is as welcome as a fancy fiber yarn here.

If you could have one rare bpal which one would you choose? Darkling Thrush sounded gorgeous but I was way too late to join the addiction to get to try that.

 

(Feel free not to answer, I know it's not a standard one!) Are you kinky? Not particularly? I had a boyfriend that was and there are some not-so-great memories there since I don't think he really went about it in a good way.

 

Do you enjoy scented candles? Certain sizes that you like? What kind of scents or brands? I do like scented candles, mostly citrus/fruit/herb/woods scents (not all in the same blend), some foodie scents are cool, too. I got some wax melts from Two Timing Tart in a recent swap that I really enjoy (Silk Sheets and Experiment #2). Most of my other candles have been Yankee, Woodwick, Colonial, stuff that I can find locally.

 

Thoughts about South Africa? Have you been here, would you like to go? Would you like to receive anything South African? Have not been, but I love seeing things from different places, even postcards and such are awesome. I have a little ceramic teabag holder from a dear former witch that I think is tremendously cool from there.

 

Do you like Sockdreams? If so, what styles would you prefer? (You can also link your wishlist.) I am kind of the anti-sock--they only get worn in winter when I have to. I do like fun quirky socks then though. Shorter ones though--anklets, boot socks, etc. I do not do knee or higher socks, and please, dear gods, no toe socks.

 

Do you need hair accessories? If so, what kind or color? kerchiefs are fun, hair clips are good, silk flower type things for dance costuming, fun barettes...I'm trying to grow my hair out but it's sadly not long enough for chopsticks or anything like that yet.

 

What is your favorite shade of blue? No pastel? Seriously, I love most shades, dark, saturated, jewel tones, slate or teal, whatever. I just don't really care for washed-out colors.

If you were to start learning something new (intellectual or craft or hobby), what would it be? a new language, maybe learn how to knit productively, carpentry, welding, less-haphazard gardening...

Do you have an e-reader? What kind? Would you like to get ebooks? Negative. I have an e-reaer program on my computer, but I mostly do normal books.

 

If your witch is an extremely crafty sort, and she were to send all kinds of homemade foody goodies and handmade crafty stuff - what are items you would NOT LOVE to receive. Please dont hedge on this one...some of us are serious crafters and will be making most of what we send! If I think of anything on this one, I will get back to you. Practical items are better than a boatload of purely decorative, but otherwise I can't think of anything.

 

Witchee dear, do you like video games? Are there any you want to play? Do you have a large library? I love video games, mostly I play World of Warcraft or old Nintendo (orig and super) and PS/PS2 games. I used to love the Final Fantasy games, too, but I think I have all the ones I'd want to play. If anyone has a copy of Dragon Warrior 7 for the playstation though that they don't want, I would love that--I lost mine when I moved and never got to finish it. Sad Panda.

 

Do you have something you do, without fail, as a personal daily habit/ritual? (Examples: pen-and-paper journal keeping, tea/coffee drinking, morning yoga, nightly bedtime reading. I'm kind of thinking on things that would be dear to you and might need small supplies or could use certain extras. )

 

Do you wear nailpolish? What colors do you tend to go for? What are your favorite brands? Are you open to trying indie brands? I do wear it, and have a ton of cheap stuff. I much prefer frosts/metallics to creme or matte polishes, glitters are sometimes things, not big on pinks, or yellows.

 

Name three BPAL scents you have tried, but are dying to get more of. Secret Lovers and Sleeping Husband comes to mind, otherwise have to think about that.

Have you ever tried anything from Paintbox Soapworks? Which products or scents would you prefer? Would love to try her hot process soaps, and some of the other moisurizers (only tried slip so far), shaving soap, and scent balm; some favorite (the first 3)and wanted-to-try scents include Olive Tree, Sweet 100s, Yuletide Mariner (out of season obviously), Kid A, Halcyon, Bramble and Apple, Mandinka, The Englishman, The Natural, Go Green, The Crofter's Bar.

 

Do you like/have space to garden? If so, what do you grow? Herbs, some strawberries, flowers, tomatoes, rosebushes, catnip. I have limited space but I do love my plants.

 

Do you like sample sized things? Think lipgloss, mascara, bodylotion, scrubs, mini candles, and so forth. Samples are good! Samples with info on where to get more are better.

 

Have you tried Fortune Cookie Soap? What products or scents would you like? Their website is actually impossible to look at on my computer, so I can offer no opinions.

 

Do you use solid soaps at all? If so, what kind do or don't you like? Exclusively. I don't do bodywashes at all. I like Chagrin Valley a lot, and I'd be interested to try the soaps from Long Winter Farm and some of Paintbox's hot-process soaps. I like the glycerin ones ok but they can be more drying.

 

Have you ever tried Cocoa Pink? If you are curious about it, what looks interesting to you? scentwise, none of the foodie stuff, I have crap luck with sugar notes especially. The fruit scents (Asian Pear Sparkler, Blackberry Tea, Cool Citrus, Enchanted, Georgia Sunrise, Love Punch, Orient Garden, Tiger, Zest) tea scents (Green Tea Spritzer, Honeysuckle White Tea, Sakura Sweetheart Tea), and some miscellany like Sping Fever, Black. Also, eep, they have a Light Blue dupe. I am very curious about this.

 

Product-wise: scrubs, body butter, the greasy version of the body oil spray (hello colorado negative humidity) are the things that would be most useful.

 

Lush Don't think I've really tried anything, wouldn't be against it, but don't know much about their products either.

 

Shiro Cosmetics? Other eyeshadow pigment, indie makeups? I love Shiro's eyeshadow pigments, but I think I'm placing an order soon since I need something for dance makeup. I'm happy to play with any and all shadow pigments, my collection thus far is from The All Natural Face (the source of foundation, bronzer, and the like for my collection, also) and Shiro, though I have very little Shiro at this point.

Doctor Who? I am a fan. Not a totally rabid one, but certainly a fan.

 

How much do you like lipbalm? Love it, usually have about 4 in rotation at a time. Flavors are nice, mostly citrus and fruit flavors, I'm not a big fan of mint favor in lip balm, since it takes forever to get rid of.

 

Do you like and wear lipgloss? Sometimes, what I'd love to find though is a good lip stain, since gloss tends to disappear so quickly.

 

For those of you whose wishlists contain only BPALs, are there any other perfume companies you like or would like to try out? I had a sample of Possets Sex Juice that I loved, wouldn't mind snagging more or trying some of her others. I like some Villainess (I love the scent of the Byzantium Soap, and I think Asphyxiate I liked), think I had a sample of Arcana soap that I liked but I don't remember which, maybe The Huntress? In any case, I'm open to pretty much anything.
