November 4th

Moxie Nouveau groupon? sure, i was contemplating that myself

what's your favourite colour? greens, blues, earthtones, jeweltones

Your favourite gemstone?topax/citrine. i like most any colored stones

Your favourite animal (real or imaginary)? foxes, wolves, big cats, frogs, dragons

And do you have any intense phobias? not coming to mind

Are you Nano-ing this month, bunny? If so, how would you feel about merch/donations to the cause? i think i'm physically incapable of writing fiction.

Do you like/need boxes for perfume/knicknacks?i always need storage-y type stuff

November 2nd

Is there any particular holiday DVD that you don't have that you would like to own? not that i can think of...and i'm probably one of the only people who despises 'a christmas story' my favorite 'takes place at christmas' story is probably Love Actually, and there are a few movies I pull out at holiday time just on principle (i have an ancient nutcracker ballet taped on pbs for instance)

How do you feel about superheros? Are you a Marvel or DC fan? Do you have a favorite hero? Not averse to comics, but I don't collect anything in particular.

Would my bunny like anything in particular from Lush? I do have access to an actual Lush store, and also wouldn't mind ordering retro items online. I can't think of anything in particular

Do you have kids (or kid-like pets) who your fox may want to take into account, either in terms of a little extra goody or simple safety? no kids, kali loves stuffed toys but unless i tell her they're hers she leaves things alone

How do you feel about honey/beeswax? Would you like any? I love honey, especially trying regional ones (i used to get tupelo honey somewhere, that was probably my favorite). Beeswax gets used occasionally for waxing book thread and other weird things like that.

Are you a Trader Joe's fan, who either doesn't have a store nearby or just loves their stuff and has a wishlist? I am *completely ignorant* of Trader Joe's firsthand.

The Paintbox Soapworks Yules are up, or at least round one is (updates coming throughout the week). Interested in anything? I already ordered Yuletide Mariner soap since it's like my favorite ever of hers...I love Victorious Sun, Comfort and Joy sounds pretty, Snoggin' sounds kind of interesting...I'm also very interested in her new body creams.

If I were to place ONE LAST Weenie order, (uh, which I will) what would you want me to include for you? There was some stuff I was curious about, but my lovely witch gave me a bottle of the one i really wanted (la calavera)

Will you be away for any part of the round? negative

Anyone else with an Etsy store and a member of Tradeaholics (or you could join) and interested in bartering for gifts for their bunny? Everything in my shop is up for trade.

What type of books do you like? Dying to read anything?

If you like Christmas music (or any other holiday music, for that matter), what kind of style do you like? Traditional? Modern and poppy? Indie? I prefer traditional, or pretty instrumental. I think I went a little overboard answering that in my swap survey...

Do you enjoy things that taste like roses? For example chewing gum, turkish delight, delicious goo that you eat by the spoonful out of a glass jar (and they all taste of rose. Yes, we have all these in Greece.) I might like to try a little something--I've had faintly rose flavored stuff and liked it before.

Also, same question about mastic. Would you be interested in trying it out? (If yes, any preferences? for example you wold prefer to try the chewing gum, the turkish delight, an Easter bun (I can go hunting, some companies make them all year round although it's not the same as the bakery Easter ones XD), the raw resin itself, anything?) I'm curious here...

i live in the city of the chicken wing. if i were to send you something savory, what's your heat tolerance (or sweet and heat for that matter). nothing that comes wtih a warning label--i love hot food, but not if the hot is all i can taste.

If your fox/bunny were to gift you with a giftcard from anywhere, as in any store foodwise, music wise etc. what giftcard would you like? anything that my fox thinks would fall in with my interests would be lovely.

If I were to send you chocolate is there anything I should avoid as in nuts, cherries etc.? Also, what are some of your favorite holiday candies? not big on the whole salt/meat thing in chocolate, but other than that i'm pretty open. i like peanuts in chocolate more than peanut butter, though i like peanut butter well enough on its own.

as far as holiday candies...not even sure what would count for christmas candy...the white honey nougat stuff, clove candy canes. <ponder> most sweets i associate with the holidays are baked.

Does anything from Fusion Sweets interest you?

quite a bit, but i'm thinking i might try to make my own sweets in their image, as it were, since they're pretty spendy. most of the marshmallows and caramels sound lovely though.

Interested in anything from the Elements and Artifacts Yule update?

Interested, yes, will actually get, no. I windowshop, favorite lots of stuff, and move along. =)

October 30

Dear Snow Bunnies: Do you do a Christmas tree? If yes is it themed or specially colored or do you just have all different ornaments and such? I do trees! Well, we'll see this year--I have a thing for live trees but they never actually make it to the yard. =( I will at least be decorating my poor beleagured norfolk pine. As for themes, it's a little bit of everything, but I tend to lean toward nature based stuff, plus all the friend and family ornaments I've started to accumulate.

Would you like a special ornament? Sure!

Tim Tams. Yay or nay? No thank you. One of the specialty shops here in town actually carries the Aussie ones, so I can indulge as needed. =)

I know some people are squicked out at the idea of eating things that other people make, or the thought of deep fried cookies sends them into cardiac arrest. If you were my fox, would you like to receive some homemade goodies, or would you prefer that your goodies came from the store? I am southern, I fear neither butter nor sugar, lol. Homemade stuff is wonderful, but if my fox is a non-kitchenista, this is also perfectly fine.

Would any Bunny like to receive Holiday serving bowls, trays, platters etc...?

Winter/Christmas or Thanksgiving/Fall themed? hypothetically yes, practically, not so much. I share a very well-populated kitchen.

My lovely fluffy Snow Bunny, would you like a bodyscrub made by me? If so, what scent(s) would you like, if you had to think along the lines of essential oils? And would you prefer sugar or salt? A dryer scrub or one that's more oily/moist? I am the bearer of winter lizardskin, therefore scrubs are joy and wonderment. Moister is better for me, probably sugar though I could use either, and as far as scents, I tend to use citruses, lavender, clove, bergamot, and cedarwood oils in stuff like my hair rinse, so things along those lines I know are good.

Dear snow bunny, do you like candles? if yes, then what kind? scented (what scents), unscented, what colors, do you like them plain/painted on the outside/with decorations attached to the surface/sculpted? I like plain candles if I'm actually supposed to burn them, I won't melt the pretties. <sheepish> I like some lightly foodie scents (a nice light vanilla), not-too-sweet fruity scents, a true christmas tree scent...

Also what do you think of little soaps? I know most people don't use soaps nowadays but I love the chocolate/vanilla/cocoa/butter/sugar combo scents that I see at beauty stores

I do use soaps, but I tend to go fruity, spicy, or outdoorsy in my selections, rather than the pure foodie.

Socks! Slippers! Do you love them or not really wear them? If you love them, do you also love Sock Dreams? I've never done sock dreams since I can't bear to spend that much on socks that I will probably wreck in a not-very-long time. I tend to be a barefooter, though in the winter my sub-zero feet are covered. I like soft slippers, smooshy socks etc., to protect me from my own feet. I do wear socks in my shoes in the winter, too, I just tend to get the cheapish dept store varieties that I don't feel guilty when they get holes in them.

Would you wear something like this if your Fox were to knit you one? If so, what color? http://www.ravelry.c...gap-tastic-cowl I would, though for me a hooded cowl would be more practical. Any color that is not neon or pastel would be lovely.

talk to me of coffee. Whole bean? Ground? Flavored, not flavored? Decaf, whole caff? Favorite roasters? Drip, french press, keurig? BRING ON THE TEA? Ground is more practical, though we do have a grinder. Leaded or unleaded are both fine--we drink caffeine early and decaf if we make a pot at night. Drip pot, though I do have a french press. Flavors are welcome, just not mint. (I have friends that love peppermint coffee at Christmas, I'm happy to have it once for the season. Much prefer spiced blends.) Oddly enough, though, this is a primarily tea household. Tea is always a winning thing, black, green, flavored black, herbal, chai (as long as it's not like ZOMGANISE flavored).

Who else here loves or would like to try Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics? If so, what would you like? Nothing in particular jumps out.

Have you tried anything from Cocoa Pink and if so, what products and scents do you like or would like to try? Never tried anything of theirs. I can always use lotions in the winter, some of their non-baked-goods scents sounded nice...any of the citrus, tea, or things like black, black blood, the un-red

Anybody into nail polish? Any color or formula preferences? I think I am quite possibly set for life on nail polish, though I am kind of curious about the crackle effect stuff.

If you found a $50 bill on the ground and were to place a Lab order, what would be in it? (And shipping is free through the magical BPAL unicorn!) Sentimental Initiation, The Butterfly, and an imp of Embalming Fluid

October 29th

So... someone has gifted you a $20 gift card from Walgreen's to ONLY use on things for yourself. No necessities here. What do you buy? blackest black Almay mascara (it doesn't hurt my eyes, yay), haribo gold bears, a skor bar or a lindt white coconut, bobby pins, maybe a fancy hair thing

I live near a brick and morter location for a really, really good spice store. would you use cooking spices and if you would, what would you need? (it's penzey's if you want to google it). I would walk in there and die. :thud: Seriously, holy crow. I am intrigued by the variety of cinnamons. As far as spices I think the list of no-likes would be more efficient: I don't cook with thyme, rosemary, fennel ever. Oh! If they have *ground* marjoram (quite literally powdered) that is one of the holy grails of cooking around here that is a beast to find.

Do you like knitted goods? If so, what would you like, what colors, and do you have any sensitivites or preference when it comes to type of yarn (ex: wool: yay or nay? do you prefer machine washable materials? do you not care?)? No fiber sensitivities as long as it's soft. Nothing dryclean only please, but I have no problems handwashing and blocking something. Colors anything but pastels and neons--earth and jewel tones work best for me.

hey swap partner...could you use a new mug? I love mugs, especially big, handmade type ones. I posted a picture of my cherished clement clayworks tea mug in the thread.

Is there any sort of regional food/drink/treat you miss or have always wanted to try? Nooshi rice cracker mix (it was like soy-sauce glazed, haven't found it in years), pretzels from these guys in pennsylvania http://www.uniquesplits.com/pretzels-splits.asp... I'm a food-and-drink lover, so I'd love to try any interesting regional things from my fox's area.
