Who's into nail polish? What colors/brands?

I love nailpolish! I like most brands I've tried including but not limited to: China Glaze, nfu-oh, Opi, Butter London, LA Colors, and Zoya. As far as colors go I am much more daring with my nail polish colors than clothing, but I especially love puples, greens, and blues. I love jellies, glitters, cremes, and metallics. Not so much sheers or frosts (unless they are super interesting colors)

I'm more of a tart person but I also love big jar candles. I'm not picky about color; as far as scent goes I like Autumnal scents, foody scents, Nag Champa, and woodsy scents.

 

Do you like knitted goodies? If so, what would you like and what colors?

I love knitted things! Anything and everything would be appreciated. But I could definitely use a nice pair of fingerless gloves. Any color is fine as my winter outerwear is rather drab.

 

Would you be interested in homemade edibles that are NOT sweets? Any specifics?

As a chef I am always interested in eating I would love to try anything that is a traditional food from your area or your heritage.

 

What GC do you live in mortal terror of the lab discontinuing, but never get around to buying?

Witchee, do you use a PC or a Mac?

I'm a Mac person. All my major electronic gadgets are Apple... well except my phone and e-reader lol.

 

What is your favorite animal?

I love manatees! I think they are adorable! But I also love monkeys and hedgehogs. My nickname from my dad is Hedgehog and as such I have an affinity for hedgehogs.

 

What are you going to be for Halloween?

Most likely I will be a pirate. That's what I almost always am, because pirates are neat and I am lazy. The mister and I have been considering going as Vince Noir and Howard Moon from Mighty Boosh.

 

If you could have a piece of oil painting jewelry (pendant, pair of earrings, or ring) with absolutely anything painted on it, what would it be?

I would love an oil painted ring. As for the subject something awesome and creepy or a sunset or water lilies or a forrest or anything sciencey

 

How do you feel about nick-knacks?

I'm not big into knick knacks, bu I do collect miniature buddhas. I'd also love Lovecraftian related knock knacks.

 

What traditions (family, holiday, or otherwise) are important to you?

I'm not really into traditions, but my family does always get Chinese food on Christmas, and no we're not Jewish.

 

Do you like going to the movies?

I love going to the movies, but I'm very picky about what I see I love indie flicks and do go to Landmark Theatres fairly frequently.

 

What are your favorite restaurants?

Negril, Soho Tea & Coffee, Royal Mile Pub, Citronelle, and Ri Ra. As far as actual "chain places" I like Ruby Tuesday, Outback (onion bloom yummo), and TGIFridays.

 

Do you play any video games?

Not really although I enjoy them. I do play a fair amount of Guitar Hero and Rockband. As far as systems I own: Xbox 360, Wii, PS2, and PSP are the ones I have access to.

 

Do you like any anime?

I used to really love anime when I was younger, but I've really drifted away from it recently. I used to love Fushugi Yugi and Sailor Moon. I have watched and enjoyed a fair bit of Hetalia.

 

Do you have an E-reader/iPad/something similar that you need a cover/case for?

I have an original Nook that could use a fun cover.

 

how much do you like jewelry? like, if you were to get a shit ton of it during the round, how excited would you be?

I love, love jewelry. Any and all kinds, although earrings can be problematic as I have stretched ears. I do wear danglies in my second holes, but they can't be to big and crazy.

 

How would you like to receive some of your Witch's favorite recipes, tailored to your likes/dietary restrictions? And specific wants?

Absolutely. I collect recipes. I especially like "unusual" flavor profiles.

 

Do you need any boxes to store your smellies in? What would you store in said hypothetical box--imps, bottles, supplies, all of the above?

Boxes are awesome and I can always use more. This hypothetical box could be for any and/or all of the above.

Not a big Muppets fan, but I do love other Jim Henson stuff.

 

Do you have an affinity for Calvin and Hobbes, Peanuts, The Far Side, and other comic strips? If so, which is your favorite?

I love Calvin and Hobbes and Garfield. I am big fan of cutsey with an edge. I also love the Peanuts and collect old school Peanuts merchandise.

 

Favorite Mythological Creature?:

Evil, evil question. I love mythical creatures. But if I was forced to pick a favorite I would say werewolves and chimera. I like my mythical creatures dark and creepy

 

Do you like hair things barrettes, headbands, flowers

I love, love interesting headbands as they help tame the beast that is my hair lol. I have several favorited on my etsy.

 

Expanding on the hair question - does anyone like those flower clips for the hair that are big right now??

I like them, but I'm more into "unusual" hair decorations.

 

Do you like to burn incense? If so, what are your favorite kinds...sticks? cones? resins? What are your favorite scents?

I really like incense. I'd prefer sticks, as I don't have a burner that will work with cones. As far as scents go, I like Nag Champa and other "traditional" incense blends. I also like anything fruity.

 

- Harry Potter - a fan? If so, what house are you?

I love Harry Potter books, not a huge fan of the movies other than Prisoner of Azkaban. I categorize myself as a slytherclaw, equally at home in either Ravenclaw or Slytherin.

anywhere that sells books, sockdreams, mac, anyplace my Witch is fond of.

 

Is there a particular myth/folktale/legend/fairytale/godstory that you're drawn to?

I am super into the Anansi tales even though they aren't part of my cultural history. From my own tradition I love the story of the Monkey's Fiddle.

 

If you RP, tabletop, forum, or otherwise... Do you have any original characters you'd like to see art of? If so, please give information! Even if it's a link to a web page or a profile or picture! The main character I roleplay as is Tristan Valentine. He's a teenage superhero, with the power of energy explosion. He is very pale, with shoulder length auburn hair. He has dark green eyes and a scar through his left eye from an early fight. He's tall and muscular and always looks a bit disheveled. He still works a "cover job" at Burger King. He's a fun kind of guy and it would be neat to have some art of him.

My other main character I portray is Draven Osbourne, my Hogwarts Maurauders era character.

 

If you could see anything, what would it be? Can be a person, an event, a landmark or monument, an object, etc. And it doesn't have to be on this planet, or in this time period, or in this reality!

I will have to steal my answer from a few other forumites and say The Library of Alexandria. That would be absolutely epic.

 

When you are having a really rough day, what do you like to do/have to make it a little brighter?

Some chocolate, a big old mug of tea (or if it's a really, really bad day a big old mug of booze) and a good trashy book, most likely a mystery or space opera.

 

What are your thoughts on comics? Any you like? Any you have been wanting to try? Favorite characters? I adore comics. Favorites include: Sandman, V for Vendetta, X-men (in all its incarnations,) and Hellboy! I also really like Marvel's The Runaways. Pretty much anything comics related is a safe bet, although I'm more of a Marvel girl than a DC girl as far as superhero comics are concerned. Favorite characters: Gert from The Runaways, Wolverine, Gambit, and Hellboy.

 

Are you musical? Do you play an instrument, and if so, what? If not, what do you wish you could play or do? I play the guitar, electric and acoustic. Nothing relaxes me more than leaning back and playing around with a melody.

 

Does anyone garden? And if you do, what do you grow? If not, would a starter garden kit be something you'd be interested in? I don't currently garden, but I would definitely be interested in giving it a go.

 

Do you decorate for Halloween? Is your decorating taste elegant, kitschy and fun, or scary?

I do decorate for Halloween. I would describe my taste as vintage, kitschy for the most part.

 

Witchee, do you have any symbols or totems that have special meaning for you?

Yes, hedgehogs are very special to me. It's my father's nickname for me and my dad and I are very close.

I think those kinds of programs are awesome.

 

I am fond of the thrift. Do you mind lightly used goods? Please be specific! For instance, I'm a little squicked by used clothing, but I don't mind any other used goods (i.e. books, glassware, games, DVDs, whatever.)

I love thrifted things! Nothing made of cloth please, as I have a serious phobia of various bugs and parasites. Anything else however is fair game, particularly games as thrift store games are freaking awesome.

 

Do you have an Etsy shop? Do you know of any Etsy shops that are Switch Witch friendly?

Nope.

 

Would a gift or a postcard from Disneyland make you squee with delight or puke into your mail box?

I do like Disney stuff, especially the villains. I'm not big into the "cutsey" side of Disney, with the exception of Eeyore and Lilo and Stitch.

 

what are your favorite types of Halloween candy?

I am fond of candy corn and the mister loves the Reese's pumpkin things. The kiddos will eat any candy. lol

 

Do you prefer soap or shower gel? Please give examples of your favorite scents or brands.

I like and use both. As far as scents go perennial favorites include: Lush's Sonic Death Monkey, Villianess' Jai Mahal, and Softsoap's Pomegranate Mango. I love spicy scents and fruity scents best.

 

How do you like your chocolate? For example with nuts, mint, peanut butter, caramel?

Anyway I can get it! Chocolate has a tendency to disappear in my household unless its a "weird" flavor the kids don't like.

 

Beads! Do you use them? Would you want some? What sorts of beads do you like?

I have no use for them, as I really don't have a lot of time to work on crafts.

I love caramels, especially sea salted caramels. Super yummy.

I would love a scarf. I'd love something with super bright colors or muted earthtones. I also really love idea of teal and dark grey.

I'd love a pretty stone or two for my desk.

I love Think Geek, I do have a small wishlist set up. I especially like all the geeky kids stuff they have.

I don't use pinterest, but it seems like a really neat idea.

Most definitely I love apples. I'd really like to try one of the Burns because I've never tried a Villainness candle.

My only must try scent is Antique Lace. I've tried them and want moar: Brom Bones & Desade.

I don't have anything in particular on my wishlist. However I do love art and always have room for more.

 

If you are in to beauty and makeup related stuff, what kind of stuff do you like? What is your skintone and hair color? Are there any beauty products you've wanted to try but just never purchase?

I'm a total whore for blushes and bright eyeshadows. I have medium dark skin and dark brown hair with red highlights. I would love to try out gel eyeliner from any brand.

 

Do you like coffee or tea? Would you be interested in trying some different types?

Yes. I would absolutely be interested in try more tea and coffee. As far as tea goes, I will try anything at all and while I prefer loose tea I am happy with anything.

 

Are there any CDs/Albums you've been wanting but haven't bought yet? What format do you prefer? (i.e. mp3, actual cd, record, etc)

I would like to get my hands on the newest Oli Brown cd, but I'm always down for new music. Any format is fine by me except .wma files. On the topic of records I do collect them so vinyl is always appreciated.

I play soccer and I do enjoy hiking and camping. I don't really do any traditional exercise, but I have been interested in trying out yoga recently.
