From the Weenie Update....what are you most wanting to try?

Anything apple, really - those are the ones I'm dying for. There are a few others that sounded interesting, but apples win.

 

Who's into nail polish? What colors/brands?

Me, me! I like all colors, but funkier is better - I saw this really cool mirrored chrome one on tumblr once that I'd love to have. Brand-wise, I know OPI the best but I've also recently discovered London Butter, Zoya and Essie. There are some of the BPTP claw polishes I'd really like to try, too.

 

Is there a quote (or lyric or part of a poem) that really resonates with you or is your favorite?

Oh, goodness. I used to hold entire conversations in quotes and lyrics when I was in high school and not long out of it - so yeah, there've been tons. Right this minute, though, I don't know.

 

Dream candle? Scent, color, type (tealight, votive, pillar, jar, etc.), throw...

I like soy ones and use tea lights and votives the most. Pillars and jars tend to irritate me because there's so much wasted wax, and soy is cool.

 

Do you like knitted goodies? If so, what would you like and what colors?

I love them! I'd adore Gryffindor colored scarf and/or arm warmers/fingerless gloves and/or hat - cloche or beret style, I think. I adore blankets of all sizes, and socks are awesome too. Not a big one for shawls and the like, though.

 

Would you be interested in homemade edibles that are NOT sweets? Any specifics?

Sure, why not? I love various kinds of jerky, sausages can transport well when packed properly

 

What GC do you live in mortal terror of the lab discontinuing, but never get around to buying?

Tintagel, oh goodness. Though apparently there's a bottle of it coming my way, yay!

My Amazon wishlist is universal, but I've never really explored any of the non-BPAL perfumeries. Except a couple on Etsy.

Domesticated, I really like dogs. And frogs and turtles. Wild (or zoo), I like giraffes.

Oh, goodness, I don't know. It'd be colorful, I think.

Eh. I don't really have room for them.

I'm not really big on tradition, honestly. Although I really like advent calendars.

Oh, yes. So very much.

Local? There's a Thai place in the Village (T.N. Thai) and a Mediterranean place a few miles away (Cedar Gardens). Chain-wise, I like Red Lobster, Mongolian BBQ, Olive Garden, Pizza Hut . . .

 

Do you play any video games?

Sims 3 and Sims Medieval.

 

Do you like any anime?

Sakura Wars, Eskaflowne, Ranma 1/2, Prince of Tennis, everything Miyazaki, Cowboy Bebop, Helsing, Serial Experiments: Lain, Oh! My Godess, everything Tenchi, Howl's Moving Castle, Robotech (oh goodness, I'd love to have all the Robotech stuff), ThunderCats. There's probably more.

 

Do you have an E-reader/iPad/something similar that you need a cover/case for?

I have a Nook that I got a cover for when I got it, but I kind of hate the cover. Also, I make sleeves for such things.

 

How much do you like jewelry? like, if you were to get a shit ton of it during the round, how excited would you be?

I am more or less indifferent to jewelry. My kids would be more excited than I would, but that always makes me happy!

 

How would you like to receive some of your Witch's favorite recipes, tailored to your likes/dietary restrictions? And specific wants?

Oh, yes. Recipes are good, especially ones for baked things.

 

Do you need any boxes to store your smellies in? What would you store in said hypothetical box--imps, bottles, supplies, all of the above?

I'm set for now, though that's not always the case, nor will it be. I mostly have imps, so dividers to keep them upright and what not are pretty essential.

 

Muppets: yea or nay?

Oh, yes. I really want that Threadless t-shirt that came out with the covers album in a bad way.

 

Do you have an affinity for Calvin and Hobbes, Peanuts, The Far Side, and other comic strips? If so, which is your favorite?

I adore Calvin and Hobbes. Dunesbury and Boondocks are awesome. Peanuts are good, Far Side's alright. I haven't read normal syndicated comics in a long time, though.

 

Favorite Mythological Creature?

Saytrs and Dryads, methinks.

 

Do you like hair things barrettes, headbands, flowers

I have really thick, wavy hair. Hair things that work are difficult to come by! That said, yes. Headbands and barrettes especially.

 

Expanding on the hair question - does anyone like those flower clips for the hair that are big right now?

Fascinators? I adore them, but don't really think I can wear them well.

Do you like to burn incense? If so, what are your favorite kinds...sticks? cones? resins? What are your favorite scents?

I go in spurts. Sometimes (roughly with the changing of seasons) I burn it a lot, sometimes not so much. I only have holders for sticks, though I suppose a cone would work on a little plate or something. Scent-wise . . . spicy, fruity, evergreeny.

 

Harry Potter - a fan? If so, what house are you?

I adore all things Potter. My husband says I'm Hufflepuff, and I definitely have leanings there, but first and foremost I'd say it's a tie between Gryffindor and Ravenclaw.

 

If you were to receive a gift card, what places would you like to get one from?

Oh . . . Barnes and Noble, Amazon, Sock Dreams, Target . . .

 

Is there a particular myth/folktale/legend/fairytale/godstory that you're drawn to?

Fae in general are a huge draw, but in the scary Norse/Germanic stories more than anything else. Gods-wise, I'm most interested in Celtic and (again) Norse/Germanic.

When you are having a really rough day, what do you like to do/have to make it a little brighter?

I'm . . . actually really bad at this. I stew and stew and internalize it all away.

 

What are your thoughts on comics? Any you like? Any you have been wanting to try? Favorite characters?

I'm only sort of into comics, and my knowledge of them is super limited. I'd like to have all the Sandman stuff because I love Gaiman and the Fables stuff because I adore the concept. I just recently got Comic Book Tattoo and I love it. Robotech, Mage, Elementals, all the old Comico books.

 

Are you musical? Do you play an instrument, and if so, what? If not, what do you wish you could play or do?

I used to be, but I wouldn't say I am so much now. There was a time that I switched all around between fifteen different instruments and my voice, but now I only really listen to music and don't make it despite having a guitar, two drum pads, a trumpet and a piano in the house. It's a source of serious sadness to me quite often, though I don't do much to change it.

 

Does anyone garden? And if you do, what do you grow? If not, would a starter garden kit be something you'd be interested in?

I've been having a lot of luck with my topsy turvy tomato-and-herb planter things! I like useful plants, vegetables, fruits, herbs, etc.

 

Do you decorate for Halloween? Is your decorating taste elegant, kitschy and fun, or scary?

Not really, but if I did it'd be a mix of all of the above. Like Morticia Adams!

 

Witchee, do you have any symbols or totems that have special meaning for you?

I've always had a strong affinity for runes.

 

Is anyone fond of programs like Adopt a Tree/Highway/Library/Manatee/Acre of Rainforest/etc?

I don't know much about them but they sound like a good idea!
