I would like to apologize, in advance, if I end up duplicating questions, or start babbling confusingly. Feel free to skip that.:D

From the Weenie Update....what are you most wanting to try? ;)

Sonnet d'Automne

Vampire Bride

October(though it will likely not smell like I am thinking)

the three evening in Hades scents

Changeling!(because of the name, and not because of the notes, because vanilla is often not my friend)

Garden of Death

La Mort

Muse of the Night

and ALL THE APPLES!!! but especially the golden one (and a quick BTW "the song of Wandering Aengus" is a lovely poem, and just makes me want to buy all the apples more.

Actually all of the Pickman Gallery that don't have patchouli listed sound pretty amazing(who am I kidding, what on this update doesn't sound good, despite the patchouli?)

Who's into nail polish? What colors/brands?

I like polish. I'm not too happy with polish remover. I also am very lucky if my fingernail polish lasts three days without some form of fubar(which is usually incurred within two hours of application). I occasionally like to paint my toes, too. That usually goes better-- either that, or my eyeballs are far enough away that I don't notice the fubar.

I like color, especially when it has miniscule sparkly bits that look like faery dust and are super shiny. I just saw a magazine add in a waiting room for crackle polish, and that could be potentially awesome. I tested a nail of BPTP's Bordello and it is also lovely-- and smells vaguely of roses. Of course, I could just be *special*.

Favorite polish of the past: I think it was from Naturistics, and was basically clear with infinitesimal silver sparklies.

ETA: I just realized that I love Sinful Colors nail enamel. It is freaking fabulous. Someone bought me two of them a while ago(green and deep blue) and I put the green on this week on Wednesday, and it is still perfect-- no chips no smearing. Woo!

Any social media you are on?

_Sea_Nymph_ on Twitter, but I barely ever tweet.

Ann Applegate on FB, but, umm, I joined to keep in touch with college friends-- and wound up obsessed with Farmville. I also don't really post anything very relevant on there. If you still want to watch me on there, I'm Ann Applegate, with the closeup of the sunflower and blue sky for my avatar. I think I have the tag name as 'Usagi',too.

Do you like candles?

Yes. 4"-7" chubby pillar candles are probably my favorite.

Your ideal candle:

I don't know... one that smells like the most fabulous Christmas tree on earth, is non-polluting and burns forever! Yes, my ideal candle-- like so many of my 'ideal' things-- would be magic.

Is there a quote (or lyric or part of a poem) that really resonates with you or is your favorite?

I'm kind of obsessed with Edna St. Vincent Millay's "Witch-Wife" right now. Someone set it to music, and I bought the CD. ;)

I like a lot of music lyrics. Tori Amos's "Baker, Baker", "Here, in My Head", "Dragon", and so many others/ "Joyful Girl" and "Napoleon" by Ani Difranco, Most of the lyrics on Mask and Mirror by Loreena McKennitt.

For poets: I love W.B. Yeats, Nuala ni Dhomhnaill, and have a soft spot for Shel Silverstein.

Random quote:

"we grow neither better nor worse as we get old, only more like ourselves."

~May Lamberton Becker

Although, depending on what kind of day you've had, that might be a disappointing thought.

Do you like knitted goodies? If so, what would you like and what colors?

I do! I like all kinds of colors. Scarves, hats, fingerless gloves, little plushies. Mmm, cozy things.

Would you be interested in homemade edibles that are NOT sweets? Any specifics?

Yes! Apple chips, spice mixes-- someone mentioned soup mixes, and that sounds awesome. Pickles would be *amazing*, if they were cornichons or the Dutch/German kind, and not dill or bread and butter. I'm not sure what the specific differences are, I just know I like the former and not the latter.

I like food, really. I'm up for trying just about anything once.

What GC do you live in mortal terror of the lab discontinuing, but never get around to buying?

I already experienced this, and I lived. Then moved on. :P But I will probably kick myself later if I don't order Dragon's Musk--and possibly Sea of Glass- and my imps run out.

Yo Yarnies, do you Ravelry, and if so who are you over there?

I do yarn(crochet, specifically), and I am Orihime on Ravelry. The account is kind of sad and neglected ,though. There is a lot on my favorites list right now, but that is largely because I am currently doing the Scarf Swap, and there are so many pretty patterns.

Do you have wishlists for non-BPAL e-tailers?

I have wishlists on Amazon and Etsy, and I put them in my questionnaire. If it isn't on those two incredibly long lists, it probably doesn't exist. If there is a specific etailer you have in mind, let me know, and I'd be happy to go check them out and report back with what looks great. ;)

Witch, do you use a PC or a Mac?

PC. I've got an HP laptop.

Favorite animal?

I'm not sure I can pick. I was recently disillusioned by the biological nature of dolphins.

I love bats, cats, hedgehogs, herons, otters, flower spiders, dragonflies, and most other animals. Please, skip the following if you have arachnophobia

A black widow flipped me off last year, and they are swarming my yard for the second year in a row. They are very cranky and uncooperative. I'm not pleased with them--though they are very pretty.

Do you like to burn incense? If so, what are your favorite kinds...sticks? cones? resins? What are your favorite scents?

I like incense. Sticks are what I have used most in recent times. Cones are cool, too. i've never tried resin, or a charcoal burner thing. I think Shoyeido is my favorite, but I haven't really tried a huge variety. My favorite scent from them, is probably Kyoto Cherry Blossom. I hope this doesn't sound weird, but if you do wish to get me incense, please don't get Great Origin, or anything that smells similar. I used it when one of my cats was dying, and I really, *really* don't want ot smell that anymore. :(

Harry Potter - a fan? If so, what house are you?

Yes. I've even been to the White Elephant cafe where some of the writing was done(they have good bagels...). Plus, somewhere I've got video of the author accepting an honorary degree at my friend's graduation. That was wholly unanticipated and awesome.

I think I have been sorted into one house or the other at least once, but Gryffindor seems to come up most often. All the houses have their merits and flaws, I guess. I'd probably have accepted any one of them for the chance to go somewhere magical to study-- although I wouldn't be too keen on my dorm being in a dungeon.

If you were to receive a gift card, what places would you like to get one from?

lush UK(because, if you are ordering more than one thing, the shipping is less expensive. I know, it's kind of sad), Amazon, Any bookstore you can order from online, Fyrinnae, Sassy Minerals(not actually sure whether either of these actually have giftcards), Joann's, Michaels, Kohls?, Lowe's, Home Depot...okay, you know, if it's a place either near me, or where things can be ordered via the internet, and it carries things I'm interested in, I'm sure I'd love a gift card from there. How's that?

Is there a particular myth/folktale/legend/fairytale/godstory that you're drawn to? I love myths and fairy tales. Some of my favorite fairy tales are "the Little Mermaid", "Snow White and Rose Red", "Frau Holle", and "the Goose Girl". I'm always interested in learning new myths and tales.

What is your favorite animal?

I can't pick just one!

What are you going to be for Halloween?

I'm going to be...handing out candy to small, cute children, and probably a few teenagers.

If you could have a piece of oil painting jewelry (pendant, pair of earrings, or ring) with absolutely anything painted on it, what would it be?

(If you prefer wall art instead, same question as above.)

Anything with a botanical theme would be lovely. Mythological creatures would be great, the ocean, stars. Anything will be loved, if you have made it. I'd probably prefer a pendant over a ring, and my ears are not pierced. Wall art would be lovely as well.

Do you have an E-reader/iPad/something similar that you need a cover/case for?

I do not have any of those.

Do you need any boxes to store your smellies in? What would you store in said hypothetical box--imps, bottles, supplies, all of the above?

I probably don't need them, but I love boxes, and more would be awesome.

Do you have an affinity for Calvin and Hobbes, Peanuts, The Far Side, and other comic strips? If so, which is your favorite?

I used to like Pearls before Swine when I had the paper, I think. Do web comics count? I like GND.

Favorite Mythological Creature? Mermaid, Dragon, Domovoi(the one from the Quest for Glory games, who is cute and tiny and wrinkly, and not the full size humanoid who strangles people when they are angry. Oh and there is one in Rusalka by CJ Cherryh, who I think was awesome, too. But I don't remember for sure. And on that note, I like Rusalka, Sirens, and all kinds of dryads. Faeries? Kelpies and Pooka. Magical creatures in general are wonderful.

Do you like hair things barrettes, headbands, flowers

I do.

Expanding on the hair question - does anyone like those flower clips for the hair that are big right now??

Umm, sure? I'm not quite sure whether this is a reference to fascinators, or actual silk flowers on clips, but it's all good.

Do you garden?

Yes, I do. Today, I realized that I had left a pattypan squash on the vine too long, and it is the size of a salad plate. I grow a little of everything: flowers, veggies, herbs, fruit. Weeeee!

Witchee, do you have any symbols or totems that have special meaning for you?

I like stars. I feel affinity for bats, herons, otters, and probably cats. Dolphins used to be in there, too, but let's just say that teaching children who have access to the internet can lead to rather disillusioning fact checking results. And how could I have forgotten, the Auryn! And, this is probably the most beautiful one I have seen. It's the only thing I can think of I would get a tattoo of-- if the spaces I'd want it in weren't already taken up by body parts or Scars of Importance.

Do you decorate for Halloween

Yes, I do. The only unifying theme is "creative". basically if it's candles, fall colors, leaves, and anything from cute to creepy, it can be displayed somewhere for Halloween. But really emphasis on burning things and leaves. Mm, leaves.

If you could go anywhere, meet anyone, see anything, where would you go?

IRL, the Library at Alexandria, and I would like to request unlimited language ability, and an invisible digital camera with 400 terrabytes storage and neverending battery life to come along with me.The Hanging Gardens of Babylon, in their full glory (may I take seed samples?). Knossos, intact. Delphi, Machu Picchu. Many, many places.

PIRL, Atlantis. If it was real, it must have been something to see.

In imaginary world, I would love to visit Xanth.

People is tougher-- and I will need the magical language ability again.

Perhaps, Kassandra of Troy, Hatshepsut, Nest, Lucrezia Borgia, Veronica Franco. I should probably give the guys some love also, huh? So, JRR Tolkien, Leonardo da Vinci-- if I can have a magical impenetrable forcefield, I would just like to see Vlad Tepes. He was such a powerful figure in the history of his country and region, yet it is difficult to reconcile various accounts of him as a person. But I would rather not be impaled, or otherwise maimed and killed.

When you are having a really rough day, what do you like to do/have to make it a little brighter?

Eat copious amounts of candy, drink a cup of tea, listen to music, spend time with my cats, or in my garden-- basically just zone out and reject the existence of whatever it was that made it a bad day(even if only briefly).

What are your thoughts on comics? Any you like? Any you have been wanting to try? Favorite characters?

I like comics. I don't really read them anymore, but that's more of a time/space/money issue than anything else. As a very small child, my parents gave me stacks of Spiderman, Superman, and Batman-- who are all awesome. I was really into X-Men as a kid. I still love Elfquest. I read some Manga/manwha online now and then, but haven't had time to keep up on anything lately.

Are you musical? Do you play an instrument, and if so, what? If not, what do you wish you could play or do?

I can sing. I can play a little squinkly bit of piano, and I own a folk harp--but have not practiced enough to claim any proficiency on it. Right now, the harp is like a giant, gorgeous room decoration.:(

I also read music like a first grader reads text-- which is to say, not very well, but I can manage if necessary.

Is anyone fond of programs like Adopt a Tree/Highway/Library/Manatee/Acre of Rainforest/etc?:

Sure. We used to do Rainforest Rescue regularly. The bat thing that Fright linked looks wonderful.

If you RP, tabletop, forum, or otherwise... Do you have any original characters you'd like to see art of? If so, please give information! Even if it's a link to a web page or a profile or picture!

I don't(roleplay, that is), but any original fantasy art you would like to make I would love to see.

What #1 actor, director, author and/or musician are you obsessed with?

I don't really obsess over anyone. I'm not very much of a fangirl, sadly.

are you interested in anything from the Villainess Bad Apples update?

The descriptions of Discord and Twistappel sound amazing.

If you have a pet, would he/she/they like to receive a treat or a toy as a gift? Does your pet have any dietary restrictions or other preferences w.r.t. said treat?

I'm sure they would love treats. And, if you wanted to send them something, that would be very sweet of you. The dog has a fragile stomach, so she can't have anything too exciting. The cats are on a mostly meat diet, since we had one little boy get crystals in his urethra-- which was completely horrible. I apologize if that should have been spoilered. anything low on grains would be excellent, and they love catnip and catmint.

What are your top three "I want to try them but I think I'll never get to try them" (or, "I've tried them and I want moar moar moar, but I don't think I'll ever get any") scents/bath oils/sprays?

I can't really think of any. I'm pretty happy with what I have. There are some rather rare things on my wishlist, but just because it would be nice to try them. There is no real driving need.

Is there a particular artist and piece that you would like a print of? If so, what is your max size that you could spare on your walls?

I can't think of one, but I love pretty images. I have a Deviantart account: starlightsiren, and I've marked a ton of stuff as favorites.

If you are in to beauty and makeup related stuff, what kind of stuff do you like? What is your skintone and hair color? Are there any beauty products you've wanted to try but just never purchase?

I love colorful eyeshadows. I've wanted to get more Fyrinnae, but just haven't. (ETA: I added a bunch of Fyrinnae to my Amazon universal list. They've taken down a lot of colors since the last time I was there.)

Skintone is fair. I don't realy wear foundation often, so I am not sure on brand colors. I used to use ivory from Covergirl, I think. I may be slightly more tan now. But I still am very much a light, pasty, easily pink from heat person.

My hair is fine, long, golden brown(?) with red hues. But I'll likely be cutting and hennaing it in October, and then may go dark brown in December or January. I'm trying to make some changes, I guess. any kind of chemical-free hair treatments would be nice to try. ETA: I cut my hair to above the shoulders, but decided against dying it right now. The hair bow colors you chose go exceptionally well with my haircolor, so that wokred out *really* well. :D

Do you like coffee or tea? Would you be interested in trying some different types?

I like tea! I drink mostly green and white. Black teas can be a little strong for me, but I enjoy the occasional cup of Earl Grey. I would love to try different kinds of teas.

Are there any CDs/Albums you've been wanting but haven't bought yet? What format do you prefer? (i.e. mp3, actual cd, record, etc)

I've got some CDs on my amazon list. I traditionally prefer physical CDs, but mp3s are so much easier access, aren't they?

Off the top of my head, the CD I am most interested in getting is DEV, which drops on September 20th, I think. It's been pushed back to November.

Are you going away for any part of this round?

Not that I know of.

Would you like to receive a mix-CD from your Witch?

I'd love it!

If your witch were going somewhere on a vacation during the round, would you want a little souvenir?

Maybe? If my witch thinks of me, that would be very sweet of them. But it's completely unnecessary. Just have fun on your trip/holiday, and be safe.

Do you enjoy any outdoor activities? Do you have a favorite form of "exercise"?

Yes, but aside from tending the yard, I don't get out very much right now. It is roasty-tastic here in the high desert at the moment, with temps in the 100-109 range, and being outside is not my friend. I love to swim and go to the beach, but don't really get a chance to often.

I like to dance to music?

Any witchee's with a ravelry account have any favourited patterns that cost money that would be a welcome gift?

My account has a bunch of patterns favorited at the moment for the scarf swap. They are all very pretty ,but I'm not sure which would be useful enough for you to spend money on. Free is the way to go, if you would like to send me patterns. I would very much appreciate the time you took to look through them and send them, no need to spend your money.

Do you work/study at a desk and enjoy interesting or cute office supplies?

I enjoy interesting office supplies. I don't work at a desk, nor have I taken the time to study recently. But I still love folders and clips, and all that office supply goodness, and I will find a use for it, if you want to gift me!

Also, pens that write in superfine, and are interesting colors are always very appreciated.

Witchee, are you a fan of musicals? If so, which ones?

Yes, sort of. I don't go out of my way to to see a musical just because it is one, but there are many musicals, mostly in movie format, that I love.

Do Disney movies count as musicals? I like those, too.

Some favorite musicals are: My Fair Lady, Kismet, Kiss Me, Kate, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (not a Howard Keel fan at all, noooo), Rocky Horror(both live and picture show), Evita, Mammia Mia, White Christmas... "The Internet is for Porn" from Avenue Q is hilarious--mostly because I associate it with a friend. And, for old movie musicals, if Danny Kaye was in it, I probably like it.

I have to admit that I haven't seen Phantom of the Opera as a musical, or Wicked(in which I have no real interest), or a lot of the other musicals(especially Andrew Lloyd Webber) that seem to have a huge following. But that's okay. Sometime, I will get Repo, and Phantom, and watch them, even if it's only to see what everyone is talking about.

I know a few songs from the musicals I haven't seen, because my best friend grew up on Webber musical soundtracks, and they are one of her choices for karaoke fodder-- which is very fun. As an aside, my choice of Karaoke musical selections are "Sweet Transvestite" and "Whatever Lola Wants", because they are fun.

I am fond of the thrift. Do you mind lightly used goods? Please be specific! For instance, I'm a little squicked by used clothing, but I don't mind any other used goods (i.e. books, glassware, games, DVDs, whatever.)

I love thrift store finds. I can't think of any objection I would have, unless you sent something that was all manky and gross, which I know you wouldn't do. Oh, and I would rather not have used pet toys. I'm a little neurotic about my pets' health and safety.

Do you have an Etsy shop? Do you know of any Etsy shops that are Switch Witch friendly?

I tried, halfheartedly, to start an Etsy shop earlier this year, but just didn't keep up with the crafting, and the poor thing kind of withered and died.

Paintbox Soapworks was *very* SW friendly, last time I checked. Actually, I think most Etsy sellers who are also forum members have historically been SW friendly. But that's all I know.

Would a gift or a postcard from Disneyland make you squee with delight or puke into your mail box?

I love Disneyland, and if you want to send me a postcard, that would be lovely.

what are your favorite types of Halloween candy?

The dots that come in the little boxes, the black crow blood orange Dots(thanks to my fantastic Witch last year) and the ghostie Dots. So, Dots. Yeah. Oh, and one fabulous swapper recently sent me Haribo Halloween gummies! They were absolutely freaking fabulous and had *black currant* flavor. O,O

Do you prefer soap or shower gel? Please give examples of your favorite scents or brands.

Soap is what I use more often, but that's just because I don't buy shower gel. I like Lush Sandstone, Body Shop Sweet Lemon, Arcana Murder Ballad Blues(okay, I had one bar, but it smelled so good). Those are off the top of my head. The stuff from Zumba was really nice, too. I tried Wilde ivy, and something in it(and their lotion) was drying my skin. They smelled nice, though.

How do you like your chocolate? For example with nuts, mint, peanut butter, caramel?

I like chocolate. Not so big on the nuts, but fruit and flavored ganaches are ace. Plain choco is great, too. Please, no Hershey's for me. You don't want to know why. But I have people here who do like it. So if you send it, there would still be appreciative mouths ready to receive.

Someone on-thread mentioned drinking chocolate, so I thought I would add:

Dagoba Xocolatl is incredibly delicious.

Beads! Do you use them? Would you want some? What sorts of beads do you like?

I like beads, especially glass ones. I don't actually use them right now, but if you want to gift me beads, I will marvel at their prettiness until a use for them presents itself.

Anyone here like caramels? Sea salted caramels?!?!

I do! The amazing Argentwolf gifted me some delicious ones from an Etsy shop(Fusion sweets?) last year, and oh wow, they were delicious-- especially the matcha and earl grey ones.

Would you like a hand dyed or hand painted scarf or wrap or other item? If so, what colors/designs/fabrics do you like?

I would love this. I would love anything you make for me with your talents, but I absolutely adore scarves so that would be exponentially fabulous(<--you will probably be subjected to this word a lot in the next month or two, I apologize in advance. That and 'awesome'). Shirts, belts, cuffs, hair things-- anything with your artistic skills on it would be lovely.

This was a question before, but does anyone here like stones? Just pretty polished stones for use in whatever purposes?

Love for the stones!

And another question; anyone like anything in particular from Think Geek?

No, I've not been on there very often.

Pinterest, do you have boards you want to share or are you following anyone with great boards you want to share?

I had not heard of this until it was mentioned. But now that I have seen it, I may be tempted to make some pin boards. I did that at college and it was very fun and a mood booster. I'll present a link, if I do.

Would you like to receive e-books? And if so, in what format?

I haven't an e-reader, but if you see something that you think I would like(especially if it is free), and it comes in .PDF, I've got Adobe.

If you have kids, would you be interested in getting things for them? And if so, what are they interested and what sizes are the wearing now?

I don't.:(

I've got a god-daughter in India, but her mother recently told me not to buy her any more stuff(again. But she can't stop the Diwali box from coming in the mail *mwa haha*). However, I am on the lookout for a cute but durable pair of overalls for a slender two-year-old tomboy, so if you've heard of a place to get some, that info would be greatly appreciated.

How would you feel about kitchen towels and other similar household objects, if they are pretty or a souvenir?

If they are at least slightly useful, that would be nice.

How did you dress up for your last party or compulsory-formal-dress occasion?

Last party was an extended family BBQ for Labor Day. I wore a blue-green jersey, empire waist maxi dress, with stylized floral patterns running down it, and a couple pieces of jewelry(necklace, bracelet).

For fancier, last time I went out to a higher end restaurant with friends, I wore a 3/4 sleeve black empire waist(<-this is a great cut for the largely knockered) dress--just about the knee-- opaque, raspberry colored tights, and black pumps.

The last formal event was probably a concert, and I can't remember, honestly. The last you-must-wear-a-floor-length-gown event I can call off the top of my head was Prom-- and that doesn't count, since it was a last minute, but-your-friends-want-you-to-go thing, and the dress was literally bought a day before. It started falling apart(cheap prom dresses are not meant to hold in giant mammaries), and prom was a fest of boredom and uncooked food--for which we paid $60 a piece. I sat at the table reading Piers Anthony's Orn, until they would let us leave(yes, they sequestered us in the building. Had the Fire Marshal come, I think someone would have been in trouble).

Anyway, bitterness aside, I've got an absolutely gorgeous black tulle formal gown in my closet, and when I lose enough weight to wear it/have a truly formal event to go to, I will look fabulous. There's also a pink slip dress with a gauze fantail in there-- but that would require finding a decent bustier. *sigh*

I like formal gowns(a LOT) but tend to only get to wear them at Halloween/as costumes. I'm also the kind of girl who might climb trees in them.

Would you be interested in a felted handbag? Do any of these styles appeal to you? http://tinyurl.com/3o2epzl (there's at least one guy-friendly style, too!)

Yes. I like the tote, and the messenger bags, though they are all cute. I mostly sing thing over my shoulder, so anything with shoulderable straps would be fantastic.

Are there are patterns, motifs, etc that you especially like?

Vines, swirls, leaves, stars. Art Nouveau, some art Deco(with plants). Things with plants.

Witchee, would you be interested in having a special tea cup/coffee mug/glass to drink out of?

Yes, I would.

If you're a tea drinker, is there any specific tea you would like to receive, not just the kind/flavor but also the type/packing--i.e., tea bags, loose tea, compressed, etc?

I probably use bagged tea most often, just because of ease. But I enjoy loose tea, on occasion. I put compressed into the same category as loose. I've had some bird's nests in my loose tea, and they steep quite well.

Can you sum yourself (whether it be personality, life's goals, ethics, whatever) in 10 words or less?

I like shiny things; I love plants, animals, and family.

or

Magic is everywhere.

How about little bottles of booze? Ya wanna? What kind?

I don't drink.

What are your views on fudge and brownies? (Also, if you live in a warm place, where the fudge might melt, that'd be helpful to know. Or, if you're diabetic and fudge is death, that'd be useful to know, too.)

Fudge and brownies are delicious. Our temperatures combined with a metal mailbox are not their friend right now.

Also, what about mochi? Love it, hate it, baffled by it?

I love mochi, it is chewy and sproingy and delicious. The cakes filled with black sesame are my favorite, but red bean paste is also delicious, as well as coconut, peanut butter, mung bean, strawberry, melon marshmallow(yes, it exists. Nijiya Market FTW). Homemade mochi squares with no filling are fabulous as well.

Anything from the update ya'll are liking?

Fruit Bat Fruitbath

Streuobstweise soap

fig and sandalwood hair gloss

Orchards of Hell roomspray

Does anyone like kimchi?

I like kimchi, and make my own.

Would you be interested in a sample box(from somewhere like Birchbox or loosebutton)?

Sure. I'm currently getting a Birchbox. This may change, since Dymphna made an excellent point. Some of that stuff might not be cruelty free. Which is not okay. My brain thought, for some reason, that if someone is charging $60 and up for 2oz of something, they must have used ethical means to produce it. I can be very naive sometimes. :(

You have to place a Lab and Trading Post order. Right fuckin' now. No spending limits. What do you buy?

One of each of everything. Because I could always give the ones I didn't want to someone who did. And both small and medium of the botanical yoga pants, because I am not sure which one would fit my booty best.

Paintbox Soapworks - anything you're interested in, in general or from the latest update?

I've never gotten anything from there, but have wanted to try for a couple years now. From the general catalogue, Big in Japan sounds amazing, and Cicada(or is that limited?) and from the limiteds; Guy Fawkes and the sexy man with cardamom one, oh, and possibly English gentleman. I'll just put a bunch of the scents on my Etsy favorites.

Do you guys have any sports that you follow obsessively? How about favorite teams and/or athletes

no.

How do you feel about notebooks/journals/stationery? Anything you need or particularly like?

I love notebooks/journals, stationary, and pens all.

Does confetti/glitter make you angry or fill you with glee?

Shiny things, woo! Just so long as they are non-toxic. For, while I enjoy the sparkliness immensely, I don't want it at the cost of my pets' health.

Fabulous witches and witchees, perhaps you all could note of you've received MeiLin's goodies? Or if you want?

I saw a preview of the contraption one once, and would love to read anything she's written. She's got a really engaging voice.

I think that Cuervosueno also may have offered her poetry somewhere in the thread, and that would be equally awesome.

Anything made/written by amazing, creative forumites would be fantastic.

How do you feel about stuffed animals/plushies/general soft, cuddly things? If you like them, what kind of animals would you be interested in?

I like plushies. As to what I would most be interested in... you know those gumdrop monsters in Legend of Zelda: the Adventures of Link(okay, maybe not). There are these pillow sized monsters that look like green or red gumdrops with eyes. IKEA made blue and green pillows that looked just like them a looooong time ago(okay eight years), and mine are now falling apart. They are the ideal plushie/hugging pillow combo. Other than that, I love plushies. If you make me a plushie, or give me a plushie, I will love it.

how interested would you be on somewhat personalized bottle cap labels? Like these that I did?

Aww, I just did this for all mine at the beginning of the year! But, I suppose they could be stickered over, if you were inclined to make me ones. My bottle list is out of date, though. so let me know if you need it updated.

Do you enjoy puzzles/riddles? (Cryptograms, Sudoku, Crossword, Jigsaw, etc)

I do. I used to enjoy doing sudoku, I think I may have a couple of unfinished books of them somewhere... Riddles are great, as are puzzle-puzzles, and word problems. I'm not as into crosswords, for some reason.

Witchee, would you be interested in having a special tea cup/coffee mug/glass to drink out of?

I would love this. I just accidentally killed my favorite tea cup. It will be reincarnated into a stepstone at a later date, but I really miss drinking from it.

When you're miserably sick (*sniffle, cough!*) what are the things that comfort you the most?

Sleep. Nothing says FU to illness better than being unconscious.

What constitutes ultimate luxury to you? (go crazy!)

Water. Before I sound like some person off of Dune, let me explain. I live in the desert(no, Frank Herbert does not write of us, there is no Spice-- okay, there is some ginger, but it doesn't tend to overwinter well). Taking long showers and baths, and all that jazz, is not something you do without feeling some amount of guilt. You can probably guess that I don't have a pool.

But I love water, and swimming, and the way it keeps my plants alive.

I guess unlimited water, that wasn't taking away from anything else, would be the ultimate luxury.

Other, smaller, luxuries(because I don't really think with any kind of scope on these things):

My favorites foods and treats(many of which come from faraway places, and either would have to be special ordered, made at home, or flown to a foreign country to attain)

An unlimited treasury of books

Sleeping in(preferrably accompanied by bamboo or Egyptian/organic cotton, super high thread count, sheets)

Plaisir du Chocolate pear dark chocolate ganache cake(I actually got teary the first time I ate this. My dorm mates thought I'd gone off my nut. It's. That. Good.). It's a shame that this place doesn't exist anymore.

What do you really NOT want?

Dead things. Please don't send me dead things--especially anything fur. :( Products known to be not cruelty free. A lifetime subscription to the Tomato of the Month club. Hershey's. Other than that, you are surely golden.

Are you looking for a certain kind of DVDs to spruce up your collection right now?

There are some DVDs on my Amazon wishlist that I would like to have, but nothing terribly pressing, I think?

Does anyone like postcards? Is anyone willing to be a Nacho witch for postcards?

Sure, and I can nacho witch from California.

Anyone going to see any good concerts this fall?

No, and I don't want to think about why ticketmaster hates me. This actually just changed last night, since I somehow managed to introduce my best friend to Kyo, of Dir en Grey-- and now she is fascinated. I'm not going to see them, because...? But Miyavi is playing in October, and I told her I would go. So, yes. October 21st, at the House of Blues, I will be there, likely surrounded by screaming fan girls-- feeling awkward but enjoying the music.

Do you like Star Trek? Original TV series, films, spinoff series, etc? Favorite characters?

Yes? the TV series, mostly: TNG, original, Deep Space Nine. But not a hardcore fan or anything.

Are you more prone to order out or cook at home? Would you be interested in cookbooks, kitchen utensils, and the like? If so, anything specific?

Far more inclined to cook at home. If you wish to send cookbooks or recipes, they would be gratefully received. The only thing specific, off the top of my head, would be a recipe for chicken tajine that I could make at home, without needing to buy those cool, tenty clay things it's made in.

How do you feel about maple syrup?

Maple syrup is delicious.

How do people feel about little pocket shrines, maybe something inspirational/motivational to keep in their purses/backpacks/whatever? (Like these: http://www.art-shrin...cketshrines.htm)

Those are cute, and the concept is nice, but I have no idea what I would like a shrine of. Faerie shrine! Yeah, that's all I could come up with...

Do you like Star Wars? Original Trilogy? Prequels? Spin-offs? Favorite characters?

Yes. The original trilogy(IV,V,VI). I saw the first 'prequel', and thought 'damn, this is gorgeous...but WTF happened to the mythology?!' Midichlorians? Really??? I was upset.

Favorite characters: R2-D2, C-3PO, Chewy, and the Ewoks(all of them, especially the babies). The Ewok movies made me happy as a child-- all about the Ewoks, way less drama.

Do you like beef jerky, I know some may be vegetarian, but where I live beef is a staple and beef jerkey abounds. If so do you it really thin, hard and crunchy or thicker and softer. (OK that borders on obscene)

I like jerky--beef or turkey. I'm not sure I've ever had vegetarian jerky. But, I'd try it. I would rather not have charqui or pork jerky.

Texture/thickness: I love the thin, crunchy kind. Hard and chewy is good, too.

Also do you like or racier ecards from time to time and do you need to be warned if something may be not safe to open at work.

I'm not sure I've ever gotten a racy ecard. I used to laugh at the really wrong ones they sell at Spencers. I don't open my mail at work, so, if you feel inclined to send racy cards, you should be safe. But this is not something you need to go out of your way to send for my sake.

Doctor Who? Yay or nay?

OooooWeeeOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Dr. Who is awesome. he super campy originals are what my family watched when I was really little, and I really enjoyed the first two seasons of the new Who-- and then TV went away, so I haven't really watched past that.

Oo, do you think I could add a Tardis to my 'ultimate luxuries' answer? That's not very realistic, is it.

I have a couple spare Doctor Who stickers. If my witchee is a fan, would they like a couple Doctor Who stickers in their package?

That is a lovely offer. But I'm sure there are a lot more hardcore fans who would appreciate and use the stickers.

Anyone love Buffy/Angel?

I don't dislike it. I just stopped watching sometime, long ago. There was suddenly a bit too much drama for me, maybe?

How would you feel about gummies? Like, gummy bears? Gummy werewolves? Gummy vampires?

Gummies are Love. Haribo gummies are the most Love.

How would you feel about a totally original Gela-skin for your laptop/iPod/phone? Stickers? Decals?

This looks awesome. I love stickers, as well.

Since this is a Halloween round, what's your Creepy threshold? Are you a cartoon bats and smily pumpkins person or a skulls-and-bones the-dead-are-rising kind of person? Are your fairytales dark or Disney?

Creepy threshold is high. I'd prefer no gore, but that's most because it doesn't interest me. If you want to send methese shoes, though, they would not be turned away. Because they look awesome.

Basically I prefer Horror films over slasher films, as my Halloween aesthetic. Heavy on the supernatural and unknown, based in the dark past, fairy tales, legends and myth.

Disney and Dark tales both have their merits, and I like both. Halloween is definitely about that darker aesthetic, though.

Are your ears pierced, Witchee? Do you have any other piercings? Would you like to receive any items of jewelry for these piercings?

I am completely unpierced. Earrings, especially tend not to look very good on me(manly jaw, don't you know). I've found exactly one earring that didn't make me look like a man-- in my grandmother's jewelry box. And there was only one. I am not meant to wear earrings, I think.

How do you all feel about Whoopie Pies?

I'm not sure.

interested in anything from Lush?

Always interested in Sandstone soap. They DC'd Emperor of Ice Cream, but if they come up with anything that has the EoIC scent, I would want that.

Do you blog? Would you like a header for your blog, a layout, etc?

I don't. Yet. But this sounds awesome. I might have to start a blog, just to use it. I just started a blog or two, but I don't have the links offhand. I'll try to remember to link them once I actually post something in them at he end of the weekend.

Would you be interested in a handmade bookmark?

Yes.

do you like chex puppy chow or muddie buddies (ingredients: semi-sweet chocolate chips, PB, vanilla extract, powdered sugar, chex cereal)? would you want to get some from your witch / nacho witch?

I don't know. I'm not a big fan of powderd sugar, though. All of the other ingredients sound yummy.

How would you feel about receiving a Groupon deal for something in your local area? If there is anything you WOULDN'T like, mention that also.

I live in the middle of nowhere, and hardly ever drive down to L.A.. I don't think I would use this. I'm sorry.

do you like real sugar skulls? Things with sugar skull designs?

I like the aesthetic. We don't really do Dia de Los at my house. But if you sent me any kind of calaveras, I would definitely put them out in honor of the Day.

Who here adores meringue?

I think I fall somewhere in the middle-- not in love, but don't dislike it, either. I like the mouth meltiness.

Witchee, would you like a framed photograph and of what?

I like photos of plants, or of waves, or animals, or anything pretty, really. Not so big on modern architecture.

Do you wear t-shirts? Are there particular things you like on them? Would you like one designed by your Witch? And, if you don't mind saying, what size t-shirt do you wear?

I wear fitted t-shirts mostly. Because otherwise, i look like a big, fluffy marshmallow, with a tiny pin head. Size M, sometimes L(lifetime member of Team Boobies, in a kind of big way). I would love a shirt you designed, just please be aware of the propensity for my mammaries to stretch designs that are made of not shirt. Poor designs.

How do you feel about pumpkin scented things? Not perfume related, but soap, candles, etc....

I like pumpkin scented things. B&BW Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin used to be one of my favorite lotions, once upon a time.

Has anyone else heard of or does anyone else love Glamourkin?

Hadn't heard of it until that post, and now have several of them on my favorites. "she had bewitched the tides" is my favorite. Those words are just such a great mental image.

If you had an international witch, is there anything you would like from the UK? (Or Australia, Belgium, France any other country we have witches from.

International things would be awesome, candies especially.;)

SOCK PREFERENCES?

over the knee, knee, thigh high, ankle; bamboo or cotton?

Would you like/wear a pair of these? http://www.ravelry.c...rary/yoga-socks If so, what color?

Yes. Whatever color you like. Those are awesome.

Is there anyone here who likes toe socks? You know, those socks with a place for each toe?

I do like these, but I received, like, a lifetime supply of them last Christmas( twenty or so pair?), so I am probably good.

What strange misc. items would you love to receive that you just haven't gotten for yourself?

The winning lotto ticket. I just keep meaning to get it, and failing...

How do you feel about franken polish? Are you okay with all chemicals, or would you prefer 3 free? Would you want glitter or holographic glitter? What colors would interest you?

3 free preferred. Have never had frankenpolish, would be happy to try some. Any and all colors, lots of glitter, pearlescent, whatever. My nailpolish use is all about fun, which is good, as I probably couldn't pull off polished anyway. ;p

Dear witchee, how do you feel about lip balm? Favorite style (twist up tube, pot, tube with wand, etc.)? Favorite flavors? Flavors to avoid? Favorite brand? Do you need more right now or are you set? Are you one of those people who could never have enough lip balm even though you have a bowl on your dresser overflowing with them and 10 in your purse and an order for more on the way?

I feel that lip balm is fabulous. I prefer the natural kind, without the petroleum products.

My favorite brands that I have tried are Burt's Bees and Eos. Peppermint Burt's Bees is my favorite, and I haven't tried all of the Eos, so I'm not sure which one is my favorite of those.

The only flavors you'd want to avoid I really hope they don't make lip balm of(tomato, etc). That would be odd. No savory lip balms(if they exist), thank you. I can use more lip balm. Right now, I have two, and one is almost through-- oh, and one colored one from Wet'n'Wild?

Would you be interested in getting fountain pen inks or art supplies via JetPens and or DickBlick?

I would love art supplies! I'm not really an artist, but I do love to draw things-- and I love to write. I *am* lefthanded, though, and have been told that it's difficult to get fountain pens to work right? I have a lefthanded calligraphy pen and that seems to work okay most of the time...

Skintone copics, paper, ink, anything. I like creative notions-- even if I may not be the most skilled person. I like writing/drawing in the finest line possible(I found .38 pens once, and bought, like, twelve), brush strokes, and calligraphy tips. I love pens and pencils, and would be perfectly happy with scores from the 99c store, though. No need to buy the high quality stuff for me, as I'm just in it for fun.

For those interested in watercolors, how would you feel about getting a palette filled with paint from my watercolor tubes but not getting the paint tube itself? (kind of like this but without the covers for the compartments and bigger http://www.flickr.co.../in/photostream)

That would be super cool! I have issues with always squeezing too much out of my tubes anyway.

-How do you feel about getting art supplies in general? (copic markers, watercolor, brushes, paint, sketchbooks etc.)

Art supplies are Love. I think there are a few in my wishlists somewhere.

How do you feel about Threadless tshirts?

I've never really looked there before. They seem to have some cute stuff. I like the Chinese fingertrap, Squinjas, Might Makes Write, Peaceful future, Rock is Dead(and paper killed it), don't worry everything is going to be amazing, Video games ruined my life, and the monsters dress/shirt.

So, yes, I probably like them.

If you were turned loose in a basic drug store (CVS, Walgreens - a pharmacy with attached mini-mart, basically!) with a $20 bill, what would you pick up?

Is it Rite-Aid? Because then, I would pick up Chocolate Malted Crunch ice cream, some loose eye shadow, and possibly either brushes, or interesting things form the dollar days section-- and lip balm. See how I didn't say "candy" here? Because I would never spend my free $20 on drugstore candy, nooo.

Darling Witchee, would you enjoy farmer's market pickled veggies (green beans, garlic, asparagus, etc) or fresh canned peaches or something of that nature?

I would. I miss farmer's markets, often. It was the healthiest, least expensive, most awesome grocery opportunity of my college days.

Do you prefer color or white photographs? Nature or abstract?

It probably depends on the subject. I prefer nature photos, and those I mostly like in color? I do like old architecture stuff, though, ruined medieval buildings and such. But I like those to have plants in them as well. With abstract, are we talking, here is an interesting shadow on Victorian wall paper, or here is the corner of a hinge, and the letter 'S', around a babydoll's disembodied arm? I'm not big on photography that looks like Salvador Dali set it up. There are always exceptions, but in general, I think I like simple better.

would you be interested in something like this?

https://lostcrates.com/how-it-works

That looks awesome. But also expensive. Please don't feel you need to buy costly things.

Amigurumi, yes or no?

Sure!

I have a question! What are some of your favorite paintings? (famous or undiscovered?) Feel free to link to examples!

Hylas and the Nymphs, a Mermaid- okay lots of JW Waterhouse images, most of the things I've fav'd on Deviantart that are pretty--rather than humorous, Things by Stephanie Pui-Mun Law. My visual brain is not cooperating with the one that knows words. I'm sorry, I will try to remember ot update this when I am more lucid.

If you could have an image painted for you - sky is the limit - what would it be?

I have no idea. O.O But that is a very good question. I think the artist would much better be able to take what they knew about me, and come up with something that I would adore, than if i tried to describe my vision to them.

Name your 3 favorite scents for candles

Aroma-Mix(yeah, I'm into the inexpensive candles) Pomegranate Tea

Chesapeake Bay Bamboo Jasmine

And probably some scents I am forgetting, so I will say tie between Mediterranean Morning and cinnamon vanilla (both aroma mix)

I did smell a candle that said Spider Cider, but I am not sure whether it smelled so good because it just did, or because the name made it more awesome than usual.

Name your 3 favorite types/flavors of tea

Types:

milk tea boba

chai(as in the way it is prepared, not just the tea flavor)

tie between straight green and white

Flavors:

Jasmine(but the kind you get at dim sum that tastes green and planty floral, not the one that tastes/smells like cloying perfume with a hint of neroli)

Earl Grey

Genmai cha

(favorite herbal infusion is blackberry nettle)

Would you like any ecotools makeup brushes? They're kinda one of my favorite things ever, and they're animal-friendly and the handles are bamboo. And to top it all off, they work really well for applying makeup.

I'd love makeup brushes, especially angle and eyeshadow brushes.

Do you like Legos? Especially mini-fig key chains, Lego block keychains, small Lego sets, etc?

I like legos, and playmobil, too.

Since the previous question about "what would you buy from the Lab if you had unlimited funds, etc" left WAY too much to the imagination with no limitations (my answer was pretty much BUY ALL THE THINGS!), what would you do if you found a $50 bill on the ground and a nagging voice in the back of your mind told you that you HAD to spend it on BPAL or else face Death. Also, say they had free shipping (LOL) so don't factor that in. What would you get? And spend it all! Or as close to $50 as you can get.

the Lab:

Either two Weenies and two imps, or Dragon's Musk, Sea of Glass, and three imps.

the Post:

Belladonna or Hemlock yoga pants-- not sure which. Leaning towards Belladonna, for the sake of plant affinity, though the hemlock image is really nice.

Are there any characters that you love or identify with?

I love way too many characters to list. I'll list a few when my head is a bit more with it.Characters I love: Tsuzuki Asato(from Yami no Matsuei) Flynx(Phillip Lynx, from Alan Dean Foster's Pip and Flynx series) Nathan Wuornos(Syfy's Haven,)Gary Oldman's portrayal on Dracula(in Bram Stoker's Dracula),Mr Knightly(EmmaJane Austen)-- I'm really hoping this is what the question meant. All I saw was people posting pics of hot guys in the thread. So, if this was supposed to be more of an 'I  you, man/woman!' thing, I apologize. I could go on, especially with book characters. But I won't. Because that's probably creepy. Right?

The two choices that immediately popped to mind for identifying with were Pippi Longstocking and the Little Mermaid(probably more Anderson than Disney, I was too obedient/dreamy as a child). But maybe not so much anymore? I don't know. I also identify with Goldberry and Galadriel...

I'm really not awesome like any of those people, though.

A question! If you are crafty, what's your personal art style? I'm not talking just about what art you like to look at, but what kind of art do you like creating? Do you have a "process" while you're creating beauty?

Ecclectic, eccentric, and creative? I draw in an anime/manga aesthetic(shoujo style, heavy on chibi/SD characters[eta, because Roogna had a good point, but how does one describe the varying comic styles?]) most of the time, and when I am drawing in front of the kids I sub, I try to pare things down to simple lines that they can possibly imitate with not that much difficulty. I like to paint watercolor, and the look I go for is kind of dreamy and blended. Doodling is done whimsically, with lots of plants, swirls, patterns and stars.

, you can really tell this is not an artist speaking.

Are there any Arcana Weenies that you MUST HAVE?

Nothing that I *must* have. At least, I don't think...

Dancing in the Boneyard, Haint, and Ruby Cow sound nice, though.

So what say you? IS an "unexpected" visit/in-person witching OK?

I don't know. It could be really cool. But it could also be sad, if we somehow missed each other, or the house had exploded when you decided to visit.
