Would you be creeped out if a local minion personally delivered a package to your house from a far-away Witch? i would not be creeped out, and i think it would be great to actually meet a witch (mine or minion) though probably arranging to meet out for coffee or something would be the best bet since a) shared house space, b.)wonky dog, c)wonkier schedule.

Do you like poetry? definitely.

 

What types of scents do you like to scent your home? Which do you totally avoid? i do not do perfumy/floral. i like 'real' scents, fruit, citrus, realistic smelling baked goods/spices, evergreen in cooler months.

 

What are your thoughts on comics? Any you like? Any you have been wanting to try? Favorite characters? i read the very first story arc of aria like a decade ago and loved that, don't even know how much more of it if any there was. i liked the sandman, especially the spinoff graphic novel 'the dream hunters.' i used to play in a dc universe forum based game...characters...i have a fondness for Jason Blood as my favorite character was created as his daughter, and i got to play him in a prequel game later (my Jason Blood was rather divergent, but hey.) um, other stuff...if you include online comics i like 8 bit theatre, looking for group, xkcd, girl genius (this is the only one i remember to keep up with). one of my exes (and still good friend) is really into comics and i caught his enjoyment even if i don't actively go out and look for them.

 

How do you feel about nail polish? What colors do you like? Sparkles? love. my nails are vitually always painted. usually in pretty wacky colors, and one is always different. i generally prefer frosts and sparkly stuff to cremes, and pastels really don't work with my skintone.

 

Household/kitchen goods/gadgets? i thought of something, but now i don't remember...oh! oven mitt! if anyone ever finds one that's flaxible fabric and looks more like a sock puppet than anything else, i would be freaking overjoyed. hah! i found a pattern, it's these things. so if i have a crafty witch, this would totally be treasure.

 

Ok geek check - what sort of geeky things do you do? Do you read comics/graphic novels? Are you obsessed with something (a TV show maybe?) Do you work in a geeky field? Do you play rpgs like Dungeons and Dragons? Would you like gifts related to any of these? i am a geek. i haven't read any comics in quite a while though, and i don't do much gaming anymore, sadly. i do love my computer and console rpgs though, and i'm a WoW player.

 

Do you have a favorite fabric? If someone were to make you a fabric item, would you prefer it be out of any fabric? e.g. velvet, satin, silk, cotton, bamboo??? Would this change if it were an article of clothing vs. a bag/pillow/blanket/somethingelse? bag would need to be durable, other than that, i go by touch more than anything. i do love brocade patterns.

 

Anything with the Worm Moon update that you're already lusting after? um, yes, four of the new LEs sound interesting to try: LORD TEISHIN WITH A DEMON BEHIND A SCREEN, II NO HAYATA KILLS THE NUE AT THE IMPERIAL PALACE, MINAMOTO NO YORIMITSU CUTS AT THE EARTH SPIDER, ENLIGHTENMENT OF THE COURTESAN JIGOKUDAYU. i've had not-stellar luck with scents recently though.

Pillows? What size/designs/colors would most interest you? like throw pillows? that would be cool. i like stuff that i can actually lean on, so as long as it's not a completely forbidding material, it's all good.

 

purses? bags? What style/colors? I don't do purses, I could however, use a fairly good-sized bag of some nature for a dance bag. i'm getting tired of stuffing my huge skirts into a backpack, it's like fabric origami.

 

Decorative scarves for hair and/or creative accessorizing? What colors? would love this! jewel tones, especially blues and greens if meant for hair. can add earths to the list for otherwise.

 

Would you like anything from Starring Fragrances. They make awesome hair stuff, natural deoderant, and home fragrance (and a ton of other stuff, those are just my favs)? any moisturizing stuff is always a good bet, or linen spray.

as far as scents though most of theirs won't work for me since foodie/sweet=plastic on me. the ones that likely would work...any of the all naturals (the show must go on sounds really nice), most of the summer goddesses, earth child, woody woodstock, secret agent, any of the power players, ishtar. basically if it's not food, sugar, or florals it should be ok.

For those who like lipgloss, lipstick, tinted balms, etc, what colors do you wear (and warm? cool?) and do you prefer something sheer or more opaque? How do you feel about shimmer? i have realy pale gold-undertoned skin, so i do best in warm, ruddy colors. i wear lipbalm all the freaking time, generally plain just because i'm more worried about my lips not peeling. i do like tinted balms, shimmery stuff is win, i just need something that has a lot of moisture for our negative humidity, and not mint flavored. i don't know why so many companies thing tinted balm has to be mint. bleh.

 

Are there any fancy/gourmet/special herbs or spices that you'd love to receive? ie: good quality vanilla or other extracts, vanilla beans, saffron, lavender, etc.

i'm always interested in trying new things and i love to cook and bake.

 

What's your favorite animal? Or is there one that's particularly significant to you? strangely, i'm most drawn to predators. foxes, wolves, coyotes, big cats, falcons...and also small rodents and frogs, and plain little sparrows. yes, i'm weird, and i adore my critters.

(i'm also a big fan of chargin valley for hair shampoo bars and non-scent-heavy soaps)

 

What periods of art do you love most? Like, if someone was going to get you a tapestry or a box or some other item, what period would you want it to most resonate with? the pinks and golds of Rococo? the clean geometry of Art Deco? The romanticism of Art Nouveux? The strange lines of Cubism? i don't think i have a particular fixation on a period. i like impressionist stuff a lot, but i tend to go on a piece-by-piece basis. if you think i'd like it, go for it.

Booze? Yay or Nay? what kinds? my dislikes are tequila, southern comfort, jaeger, and ouzo. mostly otherwise it's fair game. i don't drink much but it's usually something like irish whiskey straight or mixed with gingerale, or something goofy and sweet. occasionally hard cider or a good beer or mead. recommendations for brands of mead and cider welcome!

 

Steampunk inspired items? Yay or nay? yea!

 

Do you like amurigami dolls? yup, critters especially.

 

Pirates vs Ninjas vs Zombies - who wins? Which do you love most? i think i have to go with pirates on this one.

 

Do you like wearing things in your hair? If so, what kind? definitely. it's *almost* chopstick length again. i love barettes, big or small, small rubber bands for braids, big ornamental stuff. hairpieces for dancing are awesome--flowers, etc... i can't do headbands though, they always pinch/stab. i use a bandana/kerchief instead. I have brown/henna'd auburn hair, so most colors are ok. not a fan of most pastels though.

 

Piercings? - ears?? - elsewhere? earrings, 2 lobe left, 1 right. i usually wear dangles plus one stud (currently that's a silver rattlesnake), any metal, and long dangles are fine as long as not much more than 3 inches? i also *love* ear cuffs, both the cuff on its own and the cuffs chained to an earring. i only wear those on the left though.

 

Chocolate. With stuff in it? Are you more a plain chocolate lover, a chocolate and normal items lover (normal items being nuts, fruit, caramel) or do you like weird stuff in your chocolate? (weird stuff being curry, chilis, balsamic vinegar, floraly things)

i'm not sure i'd be down with the bacon chocolate that everyone mentions, but other than that i'm game to try things.

i love to garden, and a little of everything, usually a few tomato plants, peppers, radishes, herbs, we have roses, i have a herd of poinsettias, and i do lots of flowers, zinnias, sunflowers, a few little annuals. i'm a totally chaotic gardener and i love it.
