Do you read/like fantasy? What kind of books or authors do you love? Which one would you like to read? Would you like gifts related to it?

I'm not crazy about epic, Tolkienesque series (although I loved Tolkien, and I had a middle-school love affair with the Dragonlance Chronicles). I prefer a contemporary spin on my fantasy. I do play Changeling: The Lost, and costume items/jewelry is definitely appreciated.

Soaps : do you like them? What brands? What scents? Anything you're dying to try?

I love Arcana's stuff, and my boyfriend is crazy about Villainess (although I usually prefer the Gingersnapped scrub). Samples are always great, too!

Who likes hair toys, and if so what kind?

I do! I like all kinds, from headbands to barrettes (especially Celtic-themed barrettes). My hair is thicker than it looks, so anything too flimsy won't survive the wear and tear.

Does any art we may send need to be child safe, either in the actually safe sense or the non X rated sense?

Artistic nudes are fine, but I would be uncomfortable with anything too openly pornographic. At least for the walls.

In the knitted/crocheted things area, would you want wrist warmers, 1/2 gloves, a neck warmer(the kind that pretty much just goes around your neck and maybe fastens instead of being long and loose like a scarf), slippers, or hats?

I don't need slippers or neck warmers, but I love wrist warmers, fingerless gloves, and could even use hats for costuming.

How do you feel about altered/recycled/upcycled items of clothing or accessories?

Fine!

Is there anything you want from the Violette Market update?

That update was huge! I haven't tried a lot from Violette Market, and I don't feel as if the samples I did try were really a representative sample. I'd love to try some of the foodie Halloween/Diablo scents, even in decants or testers, and I'm most intrigued by Raven's Midnight Pumpkin Patch.

What is your favourite habitat and climate to live in? How about to visit? (ie. forest, canyons, mountains, by the beach; temperate, tropical...)

The mountains are my home, but if I could I'd spend a LOT more time by the beach.

What do you wish you could make/craft if you had the know-how and supplies? Specifically, which particular items?

I'd love a corset, a cloak, other costume pieces like that.

Is there anything you would like from Conjure Oils general catalogue or the new updates that isn't already on your wishlist?

I've never tried them, but I'm open for recommendations!

Am I alone in this, or is there a Book Fair/Comic Con scent you're dying to get your paws on, too?

Are there any particular movies, tv shows or cd’s that you’ve been meaning to buy for years but just never got round to getting? Would you mind a gently used dvd/cd if your witch had it or could get it??

Used is always fine. I've been wanting to get The Wire, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The Muppet Show, the first seasons of Sesame Street, the boxed Frankenstein and Dracula sets from Universal, and The Justice League animated series.

Is there anything from the Possets' Hallowe'en update you're lusting after?

Oh yes! I did find a decant circle to try most of the ones I wanted, but I am hoping for a bottle of Infernal BBQ Sauce and a tester of Wraith, which I missed.

Would you like a custom/altered toy either from a seller or from your witch (like My Little Pony, or a Barbie or any particular toy that can be changed?)

Sure! Sounds like fun!

If I were to knit a scarf, would you prefer a skinny one, or a wide one? A short one, that when wrapped once around your neck will just tuck under your jacket, or a long one, at least to your waist?

I like the longer, wider ones.

How do you feel about recipes?

I love getting them!

What kind of a cook/baker are you?

A very, very basic one . . . I'm more likely to grill something, to do meats/vegetables, than I am to do baking.

Are you happiest calling for delivery or microwaving a lean cuisine, Or will Food Network be asking you to host their new program?

I'd really prefer to eat out, but I also like to cook at home with the family.

How about home made mixes or kits? Kind of like the cookie in a jar thing, where you would need to add the perishable ingredients?

These are generally things I shouldn't do on the diet, but I think they're neat.

I'm not much of a tea drinker, but sometimes I appreciate a variety of different flavors.

Crazy about this stuff. Usually classic/contemporary, unless it's for Halloween!

I love trying different things! My boyfriend is a follower of the Holy Alton Brown, so he's really more of a cook than me. But I'm definitely along for the adventure.

Whoever is on my Fantasy Football team this year. (Oh Peyton Manning, I love you so!)

For holidays, do you decorate? Would you like decorative stuff, weenie or otherwise? If so, do you lean towards the elegant, the crafty/folksy, or the more, erm, campy?

I decorate for fall, Halloween, and Christmas. I really like decorating. Really, I decorate different rooms in different ways; the living room is usually more Gothic/"nice," the kitchen more campy ("haunted house" curtains, bloody handprints on the refrigerator, etc.).

Do you like journals/notebooks/sketchbooks?

Yes, definitely.

I'm in an MFA program for Creative Writing. Creative writing and literature, particularly Romantic literature and Renaissance drama.

Sometimes. Probably the style. I'm less into flying airships, more into the supernatural meets the late Victorian era . . . Basically, Bram Stoker's Dracula is really more my speed.

Oh yes. Sock Dreams is fine; so are homemade socks and, well, anything really. Stripey ones, Halloween ones, whatever you got!

What is something you use to comfort yourself when feeling yucky, depressed, or in pain? Books, my poodle, Cadbury eggs.

Favorite Halloween/Scary movies/books

The Others. Let the Right One In. Old Boris Karloff movies. The Crow, Francis Ford Coppola's Dracula. As for books, can't go wrong with Shirley Jackson, Joe Hill, Bram Stoker's Dracula . . . I love really old horror movies, including silent films.

COMIC BOOKS. Do you read them? Are there any series you like, or some you would like to try?

Yes. I still have a subscription to Wonder Woman, although I've been unhappy with it for a long while, and I miss Spider-Girl. I also collected Starman, The Creeper, and Aria. I'd like to read Vertigo's Fables series, as well as catch up on The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.

Warm drinks?

Oh yes, especially sugar-free or low-sugar. I prefer coffee to tea.

Are you into Austen's books?

I am, although not fanatically so. I consider her work to be some of the finest I've read, and I found myself skipping all the martial-arts zombie-action in Pride and Prejudice and Zombies just to get back to the *real* drama.

Do you read Tarot cards? If not, would you be interested?

I do. I prefer decks that aren't too modern-looking.

So for those of you who are into Harry Potter at all, which house do you think you'd be sorted into?

Probably Gryffindor. I'm not subtle enough for anything else.

What, if anything, is your guilty TV watching pleasure?

Definitely True Blood. Also enjoy The Mentalist.

I've been looking for cute hats for one character, particularly hats I can wear with old-fashioned black veils. I can always use gloves, retro-sunglasses, barrettes, necklaces, earrings . . . Half the fun of gaming for me is the costume!

My favorite, straight, is rum. I love cider, especially dark and dry, and different kinds of wine. Mead is almost always too sweet for me. I love margaritas and bloody marys, too.

That's hard to answer . . . While my bedroom is full of girliness--rose bookends, carousel horses, etc.--my study looks as if it were decorated by a twelve-year-old boy who likes Wonder Woman, horror movies, and the Ramones.

Sure! My dogs and the kitten love presents. We can share candy/baked goods, and my boyfriend actually likes trying fragrances with me. He is also a fiend for Villainess soaps.

Are you someone who'd rather have lots of small testers of different things on your wishlist, or would you rather have one or two "big" things?

I LOVE testers. I have an imp wishlist that includes every scent needed to test my way through the general catalogue, and the "Bottles" list includes things that I would appreciate in larger sizes. (But I'll take samples of even those--I consider them "travel sizes" )
