'80's video nostalgia

Thanks to YouTube, I can now find 1980's music videos to see if they were as good as I recalled. I always loved this one. In fact, it drove me crazy. And it still does! (Sorry for the primitive link, my operating system here at work doesn't let me use the link function.)

BTW, while this video aired at all hours of the day on MTV, I don't consider it entirely work-safe if your screen is exposed to interlopers. :ack:

Gaaah! Love this song SO MUCH! Thank you! :D In fact, it there was ever one song that summed up what I want, that's it. Errrr, something special, something sacred, that is--not a gay '80s pop star. You know what I mean. :hugs:

I loved that whole album when it was first out. I still love it :hugs:

George Michael's SO owns a gallery here in Dallas and they're rumored to have a pretty sweet house here. I'd love to eat at Pappadeaux's in Uptown (great creole food) and have him walk in. *wallows in '80s crushdom*

Has anyone heard the Tori Amos cover of "Father Figure?" :hugs: She kind of whispers her way through it. It can only be found on a 13-CD set called "Original Bootlegs," but I heard it on satellite radio a few times last spring. It's probably best for my mental health that I don't own it and can't listen to it all the time.

I watched that video again today after not seeing it in ages, I was struck by how George was just smokin' hot. And the actress/model is an '80's version of Bettie Page. And of course, the lyrics still drive me insane...

I know, the lack of insane '80s pouf hair really helps it not seem dated. :D He is just too hot for words. The first time he kisses her...Dayum.

Another that has held up well is I'll Be Watching You. So noir, with early, nummy Sting. :hugs:

The Tori cover is on You Tube--well, with a video someone else added, but you can ignore that and just hear the audio; just search the title and her name together. OMG, I need to find a way to capture the audio. *chills*
