Switch Witch Help, Halloween 2011

SO MANY QUESTIONS.   Extra Questions From the Weenie Update....what are you most wanting to try? I already ordered a huge load of decants and will be getting a bottle of Sonnet D’Automne to accompany my Pallas Athene, but here’s what I held off on when I realized I was about to spend nearly $200 on perfume samples: The Changeling Death Embraces a Young Woman Expressive Head The Night Hag Visiting the Lapland Witches Post-Mortem Laureatus The Seekim The Wiley Grasser Autumn Cider Devil’s Night 2011 Elegy IX: The Autumnal Le Revenant Mictecacihuatl October 2011 Pumpkin Latte 2011 Pumpkin Princess Samhain 2011 Samhainophobia 2011 The Vampire Bride   Who's into nail polish? What colors/brands? I’m a compulsive nail-biter, so there’s not much space for polishing. I like purple, blue, and silver for my toes, though.   Is there a quote (or lyric or part of a poem) that really resonates with you or is your favorite? Not off the top of my head.   Dream candle? Scent, color, type (tealight, votive, pillar, jar, etc.), throw... Jar or pillar, probably. Something I could light while I'm taking a bath, as my room's a fire hazard. Scentwise, I don't like craft-store sort of scents, but I do enjoy cinnamon, vanilla, orange, maybe lavender paired with a warm note, and most of the notes I like in perfumes.   Do you like knitted goodies? If so, what would you like and what colors? Yes! I adore scarves and hats. Purple, blue, gray, green, black, brown, red – dark colors.   Would you be interested in homemade edibles that are NOT sweets? Any specifics? Mm, yes.   What GC do you live in mortal terror of the lab discontinuing, but never get around to buying? Bathsheba, for ones I haven’t even tried yet. The ones I keep meaning to get bottles of are Ehecatl, Belle Epoque, Swank, Jezebel, and Vixen.   Yo, yarnies! Do you Ravelry? If so, who are you over thar? Not a yarnie.   Social Media? I'm on Facebook.   Do you have wishlists for non-BPAL e-tailers? And if so, could you provide a link or a list? Nope, but I can work on those. Don’t really need much of an excuse for window shopping.   Witchee, do you use a PC or a Mac? PC.   What is your favorite animal? Elephants.   What are you going to be for Halloween? Hard question! I don't really have anywhere to go for Halloween, but I love to dress up. I keep wanting to do something steampunk-y, but I'd like to get a corset for that and haven't yet. I want to make a costume for the Ren Faire this year, too, so maybe I'll do that for Halloween.   If you could have a piece of oil painting jewelry (pendant, pair of earrings, or ring) with absolutely anything painted on it, what would it be? (If you prefer wall art instead, same question as above.) I really like oil painting pendants and earrings, but I don’t have any. Hm, I like ships and astronomy.   How do you feel about nick-knacks? About the same as a drowning person feels about water.   What traditions (family, holiday, or otherwise) are important to you? Going to my grandparents' for Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, and Independence Day.   Do you like going to the movies? Very much so.   What are your favorite restaurants? The Lebanese Taverna, DC Thai Diner Too, Carytown in Richmond, VA Market Cross Pub and Brewery, Carlisle, PA Sticky Rice, Richmond, VA The Little Grill, Harrisonburg, VA Clementine’s, Harrisonburg, VA Issei Noodle, Carlisle, PA Sweet Frog   Do you play any video games? Not really.   Do you like any anime? Yes, but I don't watch it all that often, so I never remember which series I like.   Do you have an E-reader/iPad/something similar that you need a cover/case for? Just got a Droid Charge, but I have a case.   How much do you like jewelry? like, if you were to get a shit ton of it during the round, how excited would you be? Extremely.   How would you like to receive some of your Witch's favorite recipes, tailored to your likes/dietary restrictions? And specific wants? Yes, please!   Do you need any boxes to store your smellies in? What would you store in said hypothetical box--imps, bottles, supplies, all of the above? I need an imp box and possibly a second box for all of the bottles that don’t fit in the first.   Muppets: yea or nay? Yea!   Do you have an affinity for Calvin and Hobbes, Peanuts, The Far Side, and other comic strips? If so, which is your favorite? I like all of those, as well as Dilbert, Fox Trot, and others I'm not remembering.   Favorite Mythological Creature?: I'm a fan of dragons and unicorns.   Do you like hair things barrettes, headbands, flowers Yep.   Do you like to burn incense? If so, what are your favorite kinds...sticks? cones? resins? What are your favorite scents? Again, my room is a fire hazard right now. When I move out next year, I'd like to try burning incense, though!   If you were to receive a gift card, what places would you like to get one from? World Market, 10,000 Villages, Amazon, any book store, Threadless, Adagio, ThinkGeek, any place that sells gourmet food/chocolate (I love Vosges Goji bars!) or interesting alcohol.   What are your thoughts on comics? Any you like? Any you have been wanting to try? Favorite characters? I like them, but I get busy and have trouble keeping up sometimes.   When you are having a really rough day, what do you like to do/have to make it a little brighter? Tea (black with milk and demerara sugar) and Pride and Prejudice or Aubreyad books or movies (the 1995 BBC miniseries for P&P).   Is there a particular myth/folktale/legend/fairytale/godstory that you're drawn to? Not really, but I do enjoy all of those! I'm especially fond of Arthurian legend and Welsh mythology, I suppose.   If you could see anything, what would it be? Can be a person, an event, a landmark or monument, an object, etc. And it doesn't have to be on this planet, or in this time period. This is the hardest question EVAR. Can I just have a TARDIS?   What #1 actor, director, author and/or musician are you obsessed with? Actor, probably Colin Morgan. No director I can think of, and Patrick O'Brian for author and Queen for music.   Are you interested in anything from the Villainness Bad Apples update? Discord, Twistappel, and Bonfire Days sound great.   Harry Potter - a fan? If so, what house are you? Very much so! I'm definitely a Ravenclaw.   If you RP, tabletop, forum, or otherwise... Do you have any original characters you'd like to see art of? If so, please give information! Even if it's a link to a web page or a profile or picture! Haven't in a while, so there's not a current character I'd like art for.   Are you musical? Do you play an instrument, and if so, what? If not, what do you wish you could play or do? Yep! Piano and clarinet, and I really want a cello.   Does anyone garden? And if you do, what do you grow? If not, would a starter garden kit be something you'd be interested in? No, thank you.   Do you decorate for Halloween? Is your decorating taste elegant, kitschy and fun, or scary? Again, waiting until I move out.   Witchee, do you have any symbols or totems that have special meaning for you? Not really.   Is anyone fond of programs like Adopt a Tree/Highway/Library/Manatee/Acre of Rainforest/etc? Those all sound good!   Pet Gifts: No, thanks. There are way too many people in the house spoiling them already!   What are your top three "I want to try them but I think I'll never get to try them" (or, "I've tried them and I want moar moar moar, but I don't think I'll ever get any") scents/bath oils/sprays? The Fan Dancer prototype, PL176, and Jonathan's Coffee House.   Is there a particular artist and piece that you would like a print of? If so, what is your max size that you could spare on your walls? Muchas! Most Art Nouveau and Art Deco stuff. Currently don’t have wall space, but when I move out next year, I will.   If you are in to beauty and makeup related stuff, what kind of stuff do you like? What is your skintone and hair color? Are there any beauty products you've wanted to try but just never purchase? Not really into makeup.   Do you like coffee or tea? Would you be interested in trying some different types? Emphatic YES. I love trying new coffees and teas! To give an idea of my tastes: My favorite coffee is Moka Java, and I love rooibos/honeybush tea and Tazo Passion and that one with cinnamon and star anise. I don’t really like nut flavors, and I prefer flavored coffee to be decaf, since I just want straight up black coffee in the morning.   Are there any CDs/Albums you've been wanting but haven't bought yet? What format do you prefer? I'm happy with mp3s. My music collection is woefully small, so I'll take pretty much anything. Actually, if you have audiocassettes of Queen, Bowie, The Kinks, AC/DC, Cream, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Eric Clapton, or anything of that nature, I'd go for that! The radio at work doesn't get very good reception but does have a tape deck.   If your witch were going somewhere on a vacation during the round, would you want a little souvenir? Yes, please!   Do you enjoy any outdoor activities? Do you have a favorite form of "exercise"? I like biking, kayaking, and hiking.   Any witchee's with a ravelry account have any favourited patterns that cost money that would be a welcome gift? I don’t do Ravelry. Never learned to knit.   Are you going away for any part of this round? I’d like to travel somewhere, but no significant trips planned, alas.   Do you work/study at a desk and enjoy interesting or cute office supplies? No desk space at the moment!   Witchee, are you a fan of musicals? If so, which ones? I love Spamalot (and Monty Python in general) and would like to branch out. I'm most wanting to see Avenue Q, Wicked, and The Book of Mormon.   How would you feel about kitchen towels and other similar household objects, if they are pretty or a souvenir? Excellent! Less I have to buy for next year.   How did you dress up for your last party or compulsory-formal-dress occasion? This excellent black fringe-y dress that looks '20s-ish.   Witchee, would you be interested in having a special tea cup/coffee mug/glass to drink out of? Always!   Do you like puzzles and stuff? Yep. Jigsaw and logic.   How about little bottles of booze? Ya wanna? What kind? Please! Samplers of whatever - I'm still finding out what I like. I know whiskey, bourbon, and rum are good.   Does anyone like kimchi? I think so.   Would you be interested in a sample box(from somewhere like Birchbox or loosebutton)? Yes.   You have to place a Lab and Trading Post order. Right fuckin' now. No spending limits. What do you buy? My entire wishlist that's available on the sites.   Paintbox Soapworks - anything you're interested in, in general or from the latest update? I shall edit once I've checked them out! Probably so.   Do you guys have any sports that you follow obsessively? How about favorite teams and/or athletes? Not totally obsessed, but I love watching soccer. DC United, all the way!   How do you feel about notebooks/journals/stationery? Anything you need or particularly like? Love those journals that look like old books.   Does confetti/glitter make you angry or fill you with glee? I don't mind it either way.   Fudge? NOM.   Mochi? ALSO NOM.   Compressed tea? Dunno what it is, but tea is good.   Can you sum yourself (whether it be personality, life's goals, ethics, whatever) in 10 words or less? Nope.   How do you feel about stuffed animals/plushies/general soft, cuddly things? If you like them, what kind of animals would you be interested in? I like them, but I don't really need any more. I have truckloads, srsly.   When you're miserably sick (*sniffle, cough!*) what are the things that comfort you the most? Mint tea and costume dramas.   What constitutes ultimate luxury to you? (go crazy!) Mostly I think of food - gourmet meals, fancy chocolates, and expensive wine/liquor.   What do you really NOT want? Licorice or wintergreen; candy corn; knicknacks I don't have any space for.   How interested would you be on somewhat personalized bottle cap labels? Quite! I'm OCD about putting dates on mine, though.   What are your views on fudge and brownies? (Also, if you live in a warm place, where the fudge might melt, that'd be helpful to know. Or, if you're diabetic and fudge is death, that'd be useful to know, too.) They are too delicious to ruin by adding nuts or raisins.   Does anyone like postcards? Is anyone willing to be a Nacho witch for postcards? Love them! If I can't travel myself, I will live vicariously.   Anyone going to see any good concerts this fall? Sadly, no. None planned yet, anyway.   Are you more prone to order out or cook at home? Would you be interested in cookbooks, kitchen utensils, and the like? If so, anything specific? Cook at home. I'd definitely like cookbooks and interesting spices. I kind of go through phases cooking foods from different regions. Right now, I'm coming out of a Thai phase and seem to be entering Spanish. I'd also love that garlic cookbook that was apparently popular last round. NOM.   New question: How do you feel about maple syrup? Meh. I like it on pancakes and bacon, but it's pretty sweet for me.   Also do you like or racier ecards from time to time and do you need to be warned if something may be not safe to open at work. Racy cards are fine. I'm not opening any cards on a work computer, so a warning isn't necessary.   Doctor Who? Yay or nay? (please don't make me cry by saying nay) YAY, very much so. I've only really seen the new series (not the past couple episodes, though, because my internet is being a jerk), but I'd love to get into the older eps, too. I love pretty much all main characters except Rose. I'm a little afraid to admit that she grated somewhat.   Since this is a Halloween round, what's your Creepy threshold? Are you a cartoon bats and smily pumpkins person or a skulls-and-bones the-dead-are-rising kind of person? Are your fairytales dark or Disney? Creepy and dark fairytales are good.   How do you all feel about Whoopie Pies? Too sweet for me to eat one all at once, but I can't ever help myself. Just have to suffer through.   Would you be interested in a felted handbag? Do any of these styles appeal to you? http://tinyurl.com/3o2epzl (there's at least one guy-friendly style, too!) I love the design on the third one, but the shape doesn't appeal to me as much as the strappy ones. That said, they're all pretty sweet.   Anyone love Buffy/Angel? Yes! I've only seen midway through season 2 of Buffy, though, because my internet is not great.   Do you wear t-shirts? Are there particular things you like on them? Would you like one designed by your Witch? And, if you don't mind saying, what size t-shirt do you wear? Ha, t-shirts are about 70% of my wardrobe. I'd love one! I'm a medium or small, depending on the brand. Definitely a small for men's shirts.   Do you like Star Trek? Original TV series, films, spinoff series, etc? Favorite characters? OMG YES. I've only seen a few movies, TOS, and TNG, but I adore those and would like to see the others. Favorite character is Spock.   How would you feel about gummies? Like, gummy bears? Gummy werewolves? Gummy vampires? LOVE. Especially sour gummy worms!   Are you looking for a certain kind of DVDs to spruce up your collection right now? I've got some listed on my Amazon wishlist.   Would you like/wear a pair of these? http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/yoga-socks If so, what color? I think my toes would freeze, but I really like the marble-y blue/green!   Has anyone else heard of or does anyone else love Glamourkin? Hadn't heard of them before, but those are really cool!   Witchee, would you like a framed photograph and of what? No, thanks, nowhere to put it right now.   Are there any characters that you love or identify with? Stephen Maturin!   Are there any Arcana Weenies that you MUST HAVE? Caffeinated Death! Also, Reign in Hell, Serve in Heaven, Dancing in the Boneyard, Dia de lost Muertos, Edict of Worms, Haint, Ruby Crow, and Zombie's Cucumber look interesting. I've never tried Arcana before, though, so I don't know which notes of theirs work on me.   So what say you? IS an "unexpected" visit/in-person witching OK? I don't know how my parents would be with me meeting people from the internet at home, and my house smells like dogs. I'm also incredibly shy and socially awkward. Meet-up in a group would be awesome, though!   How do you feel about franken polish? Are you okay with all chemicals, or would you prefer 3 free? Would you want glitter or holographic glitter? What colors would interest you? I've never seen this franken polish before, but I am intrigued.   Dear witchee, how do you feel about lip balm? Favorite style (twist up tube, pot, tube with wand, etc.)? Favorite flavors? Flavors to avoid? Favorite brand? Do you need more right now or are you set? Are you one of those people who could never have enough lip balm even though you have a bowl on your dresser overflowing with them and 10 in your purse and an order for more on the way? I could really use some lip balm. I keep losing mine. Don't really have a favorite brand - I'm open to trying new ones! I just don't like lip balm to be overly oily, glittery, coconut, or foody.   Would you be interested in getting fountain pen inks or art supplies via JetPens and or DickBlick? (I know I have a wishlist on JetPens and just love using fountain pens in my artwork) Yes! I'd love fountain or calligraphy pens.   How do you feel about getting art supplies in general? (copic markers, watercolor, brushes, paint, sketchbooks etc.) I don't really draw or paint much, because I'm always reading in my down time. I'd like to start, though!   If you were turned loose in a basic drug store (CVS, Walgreens - a pharmacy with attached mini-mart, basically!) with a $20 bill, what would you pick up? Lime Perrier, expensive chocolate, and maybe some Burt's Bess stuff.   Do you prefer color or white photographs? Nature or abstract? My taste is kind of all over the place. Let me know if you want more specifics.   Would you be interested in something like this? https://lostcrates.com/how-it-works Looks neat, but I don't go through notebooks fast enough.   Amigurumi, yes or no? Don't know what I'd do with them.   Sooo...Cthulhu: yay or nay? Yay.   Name your 3 favorite scents for candles. No idea, really. I haven't burned candles in ages. Nothing foody, though!   If you had an international witch, is there anything you would like from the UK? (Or Australia, Belgium, France any other country we have witches from.) Merlin and Arthur action figures! I love Crunchie bars and mint Aeros from the UK, and if my witch has access to the Finnish vodka cordials I got in Moscow, I would possibly cry tears of joy. Or if s/he sent crates and crates of fizzy lemonade, or Schwepps Bitter Lemon or Cranberry Spice flavors. (This is a magical world where international shipping is free and doesn't mind liquids. )   Darling Witchee, would you enjoy farmer's market pickled veggies (green beans, garlic, asparagus, etc) or fresh canned peaches or something of that nature? Green beans, garlic, and cucumbers would be great pickled, and canned fruit that isn't peaches. I love berry preserves.   What would you do if you found a $50 bill on the ground and a nagging voice in the back of your mind told you that you HAD to spend it on BPAL or else face Death. Also, say they had free shipping (LOL) so don't factor that in. What would you get? The order I've been meaning to place but haven't yet: Sonnet d'Automne and Pallas Athene.   Is there something that you wish you could do, but you keep putting it off? Travel more. The reason I keep putting it off is that I am either broke or spending all my money on day trips to keep me from getting restless when I'm not going on a big trip. I also want to make a costume for the Renaissance Festival, but I think I'm actually going to do that this year!   Do you have any interest in rocks? Not like, polished colorful stones.. but like... rocks. With geologic significance! Ooh, what sort of geologic significance?   Do you like/own/wear/want fairy wings or something of the like? I have some from a Halloween costume when I was about 6, but I doubt they still fit. I think they were fabric attached to the leotard, anyway. So much fun for twirling!   Have you ever tried the coffee spoons, which are flavored chocolates on a spoon that you use to flavor your coffee? No, I don't like too much sugar in coffee. I drink it black and unsweetened most of the time, and always in the morning.   Ever tried a soap from Paintbox Soapworks? No, but I'd really like to!   How do you feel about terrariums? Nifty, but I have no place to put one.   What's your favorite horror movie? Don't really watch them often, but I tend to prefer more psychological than gore.   Jane Austen .. Yay or Nay? YAY! I do like Darcy and P&P, but my favorite of her books is Persuasion (it's probably the Navy/Age of Sail connection), and my favorite romantic lead is Henry Tilney. Is it weird that I swoon over his speech about the word "nice"? He is snarky and knows about language history and lives in an abbey. What more could you want in a man?   Do you like period or period-styled paraphernalia? Stuff like postcards, notecards, jewelry, office supplies, what-have-you? OMG SO MUCH. I like Medieval, Renaissance, Victorian, Edwardian...actually any historical period would be fantastic.   If you like manga, comics, and/or graphic novels, what is it about them that you like, in general? The story, the art/style, etc? The whole package.   Witchee, would you like a gently used BPAL tshirt? Certainly.   Are you scientifically curious and/or process-oriented? Would you like a project-type gift that allowed you do do something like make soap from scratch, take and (nontoxic-ly) develop photographs using a pinhole camera, use plant dyes on yarn or fabric, etc.? Yes! I love to learn new things.   If your witch were to knit you a scarf/shawl/cowl, which would you prefer, and what features would you want? Would you prefer something light and drape-y or thick and warm? What kind of colors would you prefer? Do you have any fiber allergies or preferences? Scarf! Heavy or light would be great, as long as it's not wool or similarly scratchy.   Random songs: 1. The Only One (live) - Abney Park 2. Subbacultcha - The Pixies 3. Boys on the Docks (live) - The Dropkick Murphys 4. Six to Go - The Pogues 5. Whisper - Morphine 6. Rope on Fire - Morphine (Two Morphine in a row, shuffle? Really?) 7. Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds - The Beatles 8. The Torch - The Dropkick Murphys (I seriously have more artists on my iPod than this list would suggest ) 9. White City - The Pogues (WTF!) 10. Bermudy - Mumiy Troll'   So that wasn't particularly representative, since three artists got repeated somehow.   Do you like charm bracelets? If you had a bracelet, what sort of charms would you want on it? Favorite hobbies, symbols, whatever? Don't really wear charm bracelets, but iletaitunefois's origami jewelry sounds lovely.

Switch Witch Help, Halloween 2011, part 2

JONES SODA CO has LE soda packs for The Guild, Buffy, D&D, So Cute, etc. Would you be interested in these, Witchee? Yes! to the first three. Don't know what the fourth is.   It's Banned Books Week! Are there any books on the list you'd be interested in checking out? The Hunger Games and Nickel and Dimed.   I have just been enlightened to THESE. Are these flavors relevant to your interests? Any except Absinthe! Cherry Bourbon, Clove Cigarette, and Rose Citrus appeal most.   What is something people are always surprised to learn about you? That I have a personality? I'm really quiet and shy around people until I know them well.   So who else watched Babylon 5? Not yet. It's on my list of "shows that look awesome that I need to make time for."   If you had to decide what your stripper name was, what would it be? By the first pet/street name method, Rolf Bel Air.   Sooooo Witchees, have you ever taken that particular personality test? If so, are you an Analytical, a Driver, an Expressive or an Amiable? Nope, but I am very much INTP on the MBTI one. This profile is pretty accurate for me.   Is anyone else afraid of or creepy out by dummies/puppets/Muppets/etc? Other things you're squicked/freaked by that's best left by the wayside? Nope. The only thing that squicks me that I'm at all likely to get in a package is dry textures, like chalky erasers and matte paint. Just typing that squicks me. There's a whole synaesthetic category of things like that that I avoid.   What level of contact were you hoping for? I put "any," and I stand by that. The first round I did, I had a low-contact Witch who was fantastic, and this round, I'm getting a much higher level of contact, and I have another fantastic Witch. I think you just have to focus on how much fun it is to have a Witchee, and let whatever you get from your Witch come as a happy surprise.   Your favorite restaurant or type of food to eat out. Would you use a restaurant.com voucher? Groupon? There is nothing for my area, but now that the Air and Space Museum is starting a new lecture series, I'll probably be in DC once a month or so with my best friend. I love trying new restaurants (as long as they're not seafood) and new cuisines. I also may go to Richmond or Williamsburg occasionally.   Are there any local museums/attractions you keep never getting around to going to? My local museums are the teensy tiny ones like the Mary Ball Washington Museum (which recently featured an exhibit from my church for its 200th anniversary) and the Fisherman's Museum.   Is there any kind of international candy you love or would like to try? Any besides licorice or things with nuts! Well, almonds are okay in small quantities and with toffee. I love trying foreign candy! Candy and drinks are the first things I check in grocery stores when I go abroad. I got all addicted to tarkun (why is this good? It's tarragon-flavored soda!), kvas (again, no idea what is appealing about this, but I like "yeast extract," (Marmite/Vegemite) so maybe it's not surprising), sbiten', and medovukha in Moscow.   What is something totally random (yes, that thing that just popped into your head) that hasn't been covered by any previous questions? Nerdy or travel buttons and patches for my messenger bag.   Is there any cheesy/non-cheesy Canadian stuff you'd be interested in? An entire ice rink, because we haven't got one, and I want to see if my field hockey skills transfer. Also, a hockey team to help me out.   If you were to go here and create your very own chocolate bar, what might it have in it? ALL THE THINGS. Maybe dark chocolate, ginger, and orange?   Is there anything you're wanting from LPMP? Dunno, but if you see anything that seems to fit my taste, I won't say no.   Say you stumbled into Camp Half Blood (or whatever the Roman camp ends up being named <bounces in anticipation>), which god claims you? Probably Athena or Poseidon.   Stuff you've been meaning to do: Finish my homework.   Would you be interested in regional jams, jellies, or other preserves? So much yes! Just not peach.   Do you have any bedtime rituals? Is there any particular product you have to apply or a certain shirt you wear or an act you perform to get you in the "bedtime" mood? Not really. I change into pajamas, brush my teeth, wash my face, and put on whatever BPAL I'm in the mood for. I also tend to read for ages and fall asleep with the lights on, but I'd really like to change the second part of that "ritual".   Are you interested in today's/any recent Tee Fury shirts? I loved the Cthulhu one! It would probably be dangerous for my wallet for me to explore that site any further.   Princess Bride? Yay or nay? YAY!!!   How do you feel about ethical animal fiber, i.e. wool and the like? I'm fine with it, but I can't really wear scratchy stuff - most of the tags are cut out of my clothes.   Kerchiefs? Yes!   It's the weekend, and you find yourself without a single chore or responsibility for a few hours. Right this very moment, what's the one thing you would do if you could do anything? Catch up on Doctor Who, if my internet is cooperating. Or, if we're talking about this weekend, watch the first episode of the fourth series of Merlin! So excited, OMG.   Is there anything you'd like from the Mütter Museum Store? Hm, probably. I'm going to be no help whatsoever on this question at the moment, as I'm rushing through these to get back to my homework. I'll look it up later!   I just noticed that Cocoa Pink has 5 ml Perfume Atomizers. Yay or nay? Scents you would like? Scents you would NOT like? Not really interested.   What's your favorite kind of pizza? Homemade with kalamata olives and onions. I like the ideas of a lot of kinds of pizzas, but I usually end up picking off some of the toppings. I hate being a picky gourmand.   Who are your style/fashion icons? post pics if you want! Fashion? What is that?   Are there any food items you're craving/aren't able to find around your area? I can never find exotic ingredients for recipes around here. There's nothing I want right now off the top of my head, though.   If you're crafty, are you interested in Spoonflower? And if so, what things there delight your eyes? Nope.   What are the feelings on arm warmers? Color, style, texture, length? That they are total awesomesauce. I love the Polonova wrist warmers at Sock Dreams in navy (or pretty much any of the colors, really). I also like sleeve-length ones in solid colors, stripes, argyle, whatever. The tie-dyed ones (purple, green, and blue especially) are really cool, too. I just like them soft!   What's your favorite flavor? Sour, sweet, bitter, salty? I love Thai hot and sour soup. Don't know where mint fits, but peppermint is one of my very favorite things. I love Altoids, and I put mint extract on vanilla ice cream.   So, are there any online gaming witchees who covet purchasable in-game items or other gamer-y stuff? (yup, geek question) I don't play online games, because I would get addicted SO. EASILY.   What is your favorite coffee blend at Starbucks? If you don't have one, what is your favorite roast of coffee? Don't really like Starbucks coffee. If I go there, I get something full of sugar and soy milk to mask the coffee flavor. Usually, though, I drink coffee black. I like medium and dark roasts.   If you have a pet, could you please post a photo of it? I really need to see what your pet, if you have one, looks like. Blaaaaah, once I figure out this "putting pictures on the interwebs" thing with this computer.   If your witch was the practical type and wanted to include one or more of your everyday essentials, what would those include? I'm talking about the bath products, lotions, face lotions, teas, food, etc that you really use every day. I don't have any set brands for soap, face wash, shampoo, etc., but if you know anything particularly good for acne, please recommend! I suppose I could use a good soap dish - I'm just using Lever 2000 and keeping it in the shower now, but I keep meaning to get nice soaps and it would be good to have somewhere to store them where they'd last longer.   If you could choose a Smack, what would it have in it? The DST one looks fantastic. I'd also like limeade, mint medley, and maaaaaybe bluegrass.   Do you like Legos? Especially mini-fig key chains, Lego block keychains, small Lego sets, etc? Yes! I'd love keychains for my messenger bag, especially.   Do you wear t-shirts? Are there particular things you like on them? Would you like one designed by your Witch? And, if you don't mind saying, what size t-shirt do you wear? I like nerd shirts. I would love anything designed by my Witch! I'm a S men's, occasionally a S women's, and a M women's for Threadless.   How do you feel about pumpkin scented things? Not perfume related, but soap, candles, etc.... Blah. Not really a fan of pumpkin scents, though I do love to eat the seeds.   Do you like Star Wars? Original Trilogy? Prequels? Spin-offs? Favorite characters? Original Trilogy!   Do you like beef jerkey, I know some may be vegatarian, but where I live beef is a staple and beef jerkey abounds. If so do you it really thin, hard and crunchy or thicker and softer. (OK that borders on obscene) Yes! A girl I worked with had homemade teriyaki deer jerky that was amazing. I like it kind of chewy, but crunchy is also good.   Who here adores meringue? Meh.   Do you like liquorice? If so, hard or soft? Sweet or salt? Normally salted or so salt it pulls your face into a fishy shape? And which shapes do you like? No, thank you.   Mac using witchees, what computers do you use? What peripherals/accessories do you have and what would you LIKE to have? What do you use your computer for? Not a Mac person.   Do you like listening to audiobooks? Would you like to receive one, and if you would, what sort of audiobook would you like--or is there a particular audiobook you've been meaning to get? Ooh, yes. Patrick O'Brian, definitely, but I'd love to try anything you recommend!   Are there any DIY / Crafty / Free / Budget items you'd love to get but haven't noted yet? (Or, maybe you'd just like to emphasize something you may have only noted in passing?) If you are crafty or bake, dear Witch, I would love anything you made, but if not, no pressure!   Do you own a DSLR camera? Are you interested in a minky camera strap like these? What about anything from Photojojo? Expensive lenses, eek!   Is anybody else into film photography? Interested in receiving film, supplies, etc from Lomography? Yes, I'd love to get into it, but I haven't got a film camera to start up, and I feel like that's a little much for my Witch to get me!   Are you musically inclined? Do you play an instrument or sing? If so, what? Piano and clarinet, and I've fiddled around a bit with flute and violin, since siblings had them in the house. I'm probably intermediate-ish for piano - I've regressed a lot in the past few years. I need to play more often!   Does anyone else like collector Barbies? Not really.   What small everyday items would you like, that you keep forgetting to get? I can never remember anything when I'm being asked about it!   Tarot Nope.   Tell me about something you like, and why you like it. New experiences! I love learning and trying things and travel.   If you're the MMU type of Witchee, what Geek Chic Cosmetics tickle your fancy? Not into makeup.   Would any witchees be interested in Quinn Popcorn? Yes! I love popcorn. The lemon one sounds gooooood. Non-microwave popcorn is my favorite, though, so if you come across any intriguing seasonings, I'd be interested in those.   Who likes silly items from Archie McPhee??? Shakespearean insult gum and crime-scene bandages! And enchanted unicorn! I love kids' bandaids. I'd actually really like Disney or Iron Man ones (or any that aren't plain beige, really). I love the action figures, too.   Nocturne Alchemy's NAlloween Pt. 2 update is live here! (And for a few days, last month's update too.) What do you want? Seti Moon, maybe. I haven't really tried much from NA, although I do like Cobra Venom.   What are you drooling over from the Sock Dreams Halloween stuff? I might get the Bat Attack or Spiders! socks with the gift certificate you gave me, my Witch!   Luck charms? Nope.   Does anyone want anything from... here...? A lot of those look super tasty, but they're a bit spendy.   For those of you that like candles, do you like stuff from Yankee Candle? And if you had to choose, tarts or candles? Don't have a tart burner. I think Yankee Candle is fine, but I don't really have too much experience with candle buying.   Would you be interested in getting a custom necklace from here? Ooh, pretty.   Is there a movie you want so badly that you don’t own now? Not off the top of my head.   Is there a song on Itunes that you haven’t downloaded yet? So many. That's another thing I can never think of when I can do anything about it.   Is there a rare book you’ve always wanted? Not off the top of my head.   Is there anything you want to buy yourself but have been too embarrassed (R rated or pg)? Nope.   Have you seen the Lush holiday update? Do you like the look of anything from there? From Halloween: Calavera bath bomb, Devil in the Dark soap (also a Star Trek: TOS episode!), and Lady Catrina soap. Holiday: all the Retro Christmas stuff, Glogg, The Jilted Elf jelly, Pow Wow lip scrub, Snow Globe, Northern Lights soap, Golden Wonder, Abombinaball, Rocketeer, Three Gold Rings, Candy Cane soap, Satsumo Santa, Cinders, and So White. Basically, if you want to get me something from this update, just jab your finger at the screen, and I'll probably love whatever it lands on.   if you were my witchee, would you want some of my hot nuts my candied nuts my nuts covered in butter and brown sugar candied walnuts? No, thanks. Almonds, though...   Is there anything you either didn't like or had never heard of that you're now curious to try thanks to the discussion in this thread? Yes, but this thread is way too long to go back and find everything!   Reveal? I will, and I'd love to know who my Witch is, but no worries if you'd rather keep silent!   Would you be interested in the #occupywallstreet scent? I don't think I'd like quite so much patchouli.   Do Paintbox Soapworks' Goat's Milk Hand and Body Creams sound like something you'd like to try? Yes! I'm going to need some lotion for dry skin weather soon.   Witchee, would you like anything from this particular Haunt update? I missed out on Corsair soap.   Who's interested in Halloween: Montreal? I might like a decant, but it looks a bit too foody for me.   You get a package in the mail containing 3 things you have really wanted more than anything else you've mentioned so far in this thread. (they are all reasonably priced of course! ~$20 or less apiece). What are they? Merlin and Arthur action figures (actually, I have no idea how much these cost...probably under $20!), bath stuff, something homemade. I may change my mind in ten minutes, though. I am very easily distracted by shiny things. Also, I'm quite happy with what you've already sent, dear Witch! I love surprises.   How do you feel about hemp? jewelry, soap, etc? Meh.   Is there a magazine that you DON'T read because you can't find it near you, but wish you could? No.   Describe your sense of humour. Simultaneously dry and intellectual and very, very silly.   Do you like reusable grocery bags? If so, do you like the kind that fold up (ie Chico Bags?) Yep.   I'm about to make an order from Sephora (nothing off of my wishlist, witch, so don't worry about that). Is there anything for you that you would like to accompany my order, if you're my witchee? No, thanks!   What kind of purse do you prefer? Leather, cloth? over the shoulder or crossbody, or something that can do either? Do you like bold bright prints with fun things, or monochrome, solid colours? My main requirement is that a purse be able to fit a paperback. Crossbody doesn't look all that great with my annoyingly large chest.   Julep maven monthly boxes: No, thank you. They're kind of expensive.   Your favorite restaurant or type of food to eat out. Would you use a restaurant.com voucher? Groupon? Think I already answered this, but I love trying new places that aren't seafood. Richmond, DC, and Williamsburg are probably the best bets for Groupon and restaurant.com.   Like commercial socks? Very much so.   Is anyone interested in reading The Night Circus? Maybe?   Hershey's Pumpkin Spice kisses? I don't like pumpkin, except for the seeds.   I have a not-so-secret love for The Broship of the Rings. Are there any prints from her store you'd like? I don't have anything to do with prints right now, but I love Faster, Merlin! and Eowyn.   Who here likes Stephanie Pui-Min Law's artwork? No idea.   Do you drink wine? Yep. I really like trying new ones of any variety.   Is it just me who is nervous at revealing herself to her witchee, and finding out who her witch is?! I am also nervous! But the forum is so awesome I know I shouldn't be.   Witches, did you lament NOT getting one of the condom case/imp cases that got released with the courtesan series??? I liked the Virginia one. I didn't have any money for Courtesans, and I still want to try pretty much all of them.   I recently saw candy corn in non-candy corn flavors like CHOCOLATE and CARAMEL APPLE. It's not a fancy brand, I just saw it in the drugstore, but who here would like something like that? Please, no.   What is your favorite kind of cookie? Gingersnaps, probably. I made the best gingersnaps two Christmasses ago and then lost the recipe.   How many boxes are you hoping for? However many my Witch wants to send! I don't really have any expectations.   How do you feel about loose leaf tea in baggies? I mean, I have a TON of loose leaf, would it be okay if I send you samples in some zip lock baggies? Or is that something that would squick you out? Doesn't squick me at all! I'm actually starting to run low on tea right now, due to the sore throat, so any at all would be welcomed.   How would you feel about getting a custom poster with your favorite quote on it and some cool graphics? I'm an architecture student and can print posters (provided I make them) at pretty much any size using Adobe Illustrator at a low price. Also if you would be interested in this, what quotes would you like? This is a really cool idea, but I don't know what I'd ask for! Also, lack of wall space. I'd store it for a year if I got an awesome poster, though!   Is there anything you would want from NYCC, something you'd like your witch to ask me to pick up? Nothing in particular, but I'm not looking so I don't pine over anything.   The Lab on eBay? I keep telling myself I don't need a back-up of Voyeurs or Hanami, considering I've never even finished an imp of anything. I really want to try Sky City (Before), Lovers in a Carp Streamer, Gun Moll, Fire Eater, and Voodoo Queen, but not enough to bid on bottles unsniffed.   VApothecary? Don't know what this is.   Lunacy Update? I'd like decants of all except Beaver Moon.   I sent you with $20 into a drugstore/Walmart (nothing too fancy/imported/expensive, just your average selection), and you are restricted only to the candy aisle. What would you blow it on? Hah, my best friend and I did this last month when we found a $20 in the parking lot at Target. Smarties, Starlite mints, Reeses, Altoids, SweetTarts, Sprees, Heath/Skor bars, Symphony bars, sour gummies, Rolos, Werther's Original, Riesen...

Winter Holiday Fun Swap 2011 Questions

So... someone has gifted you a $20 gift card from Walgreen's to ONLY use on things for yourself. No necessities here. What do you buy? Altoids, Starlite mints, Smarties, Symphony nugget things, Burt's Bees stuffs, fizzy water. (Can you tell it's lunch time?)   I live near a brick and mortar location for a really, really good spice store. would you use cooking spices and if you would, what would you need? (it's penzey's if you want to google it). Vanilla beans, smoked paprika (okay, I don't actually need paprika, since we have it coming out of our ears here, but we don't have smoked and I want it! I want to make Spanish food), interesting salts, the double-strength vanilla, more Vietnamese Extra Fancy Cinnamon, Ceylon softstick cinnamon, sate seasoning, hint of mint chocolate mix, mahlab, Northwoods seasoning, pink peppercorns, zatar, and vanilla sugar. Um, I really like spices.   Do you like knitted goods? If so, what would you like, what colors, and do you have any sensitivites or preference when it comes to type of yarn (ex: wool: yay or nay? do you prefer machine washable materials? do you not care?)? I love knitted goods! My favorite colors are in a question below. I don't mind about machine washing, but I do prefer non-scratchy yarn - I'm one of those people who have to cut the tags out of clothes.   Hey swap partner...could you use a new mug? Always! I have a pretty large collection, but it's justified because I drink everything but alcohol out of mugs. I like the bigger ones, because I am a coffee addict.   Is there any sort of regional food/drink/treat you miss or have always wanted to try? I love trying regional stuff. I tend to go straight to the drinks cooler and then to the candy aisle if I find myself in a grocery store in a new place. I miss a few Russian things in particular - sushki (dip in honey and eat with tea, nom!), medovukha, kvas, tarkun, my host babushka's borscht, Teremok...   Dear Snow Bunnies: Do you do a Christmas tree? If yes is it themed or specially colored or do you just have all different ornaments and such? Yep! Ornaments are ones my family has collected over the years, so no real theme.   Would you like a special ornament? Yes!   Tim Tams. Yay or nay? SO MUCH YAY. I can only get the milk chocolate ones at World Market. I am intrigued by this Black Forest flavor.   I know some people are squicked out at the idea of eating things that other people make, or the thought of deep fried cookies sends them into cardiac arrest. If you were my fox, would you like to receive some homemade goodies, or would you prefer that your goodies came from the store? I love, love, love homemade goodies. Frying is excellent, as long as I don't have to smell the fryer. No nuts besides almonds or ground walnuts (somehow, this is far more tolerable than having them whole) and no coconut or raisins, though.   Would any Bunny like to receive Holiday serving bowls, trays, platters etc...? Winter/Christmas or Thanksgiving/Fall themed? No, thanks! We've got enough here.   My lovely fluffy Snow Bunny, would you like a bodyscrub made by me? If so, what scent(s) would you like, if you had to think along the lines of essential oils? And would you prefer sugar or salt? A dryer scrub or one that's more oily/moist? I've never actually used a body scrub before, but I'd love to try. I've favorited a few at Paintbox Soapworks to give an example of my taste.   Dear snow bunny, do you like candles? if yes, then what kind? scented (what scents), unscented, what colors, do you like them plain/painted on the outside/with decorations attached to the surface/sculpted? Yep! I like jar candles. Plain is easier to convince myself to burn. I like peppermint, cinnamon, sweet clove, and probably most things I like in perfume. Not fond of foody smells that aren't actual food, though. I get all hungry and disappointed.   Also what do you think of little soaps? I know most people don't use soaps nowadays but I love the chocolate/vanilla/cocoa/butter/sugar combo scents that I see at beauty stores I like them! I'm the only one washing hands in my bathroom right now (sisters are at college; brother has his own bathroom and only uses the shower), so no one else would use them up or get them all nasty. They would be mine, all mine!   Socks! Slippers! Do you love them or not really wear them? If you love them, do you also love Sock Dreams? Sock Dreams is my favorite. I love knee socks and arm/wrist warmers and fingerless gloves.   Would you wear something like this if your Fox were to knit you one? If so, what color? I don't know if something that size is really my style. I'm kind of short and would be afraid it would eat me.   Talk to me of coffee. Whole bean? Ground? Flavored, not flavored? Decaf, whole caff? Favorite roasters? Drip, french press, keurig? BRING ON THE TEA? ALL THE COFFEE. Whole bean is best. I love moka java, and I always want to try new types of coffee. I don't really do flavored in the morning but like it in the afternoon and evening, so it might be best if that were decaf, since I'd have to share it with my mom. I like all caffeine, all the time, but she does not.   Who else here loves or would like to try Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics? If so, what would you like? I am fail at makeup.   Have you tried anything from Cocoa Pink and if so, what products and scents do you like or would like to try? I haven't and I'm not looking, lalala!   Anybody into nail polish? Any color or formula preferences? My fingernails are too short, but I'd like jewel tones for my toes.   If you found a $50 bill on the ground and were to place a Lab order, what would be in it? (And shipping is free through the magical BPAL unicorn!) I answered this for Switch Witch, but my mind is extremely changeable, so it's probably different right now. Imps of the RPGs and a bottle of Leanan Sidhe, perhaps.   Is there any particular holiday DVD that you don't have that you would like to own? Not really.   How do you feel about superheros? Are you a Marvel or DC fan? Do you have a favorite hero? Meh. [ETA: Actually, I would like to get into comics. I also really want some Iron Man band-aids.]   Would my bunny like anything in particular from Lush? I do have access to an actual Lush store, and also wouldn't mind ordering retro items online. I have a huge list of Holiday wants in my Switch Witch help, I think.   Would you like a Paintbox from Paintbox Soapworks? If so, which scents? Most of them, but especially Man in the Moon.   Do you have kids (or kid-like pets) who your fox may want to take into account, either in terms of a little extra goody or simple safety? Nope. Pets are already spoiled.   How do you feel about honey/beeswax? Would you like any? Love! I eat a lot of honey.   Are you a Trader Joe's fan, who either doesn't have a store nearby or just loves their stuff and has a wishlist? I haven't really tried much from Trader Joe's, but it sounds like there is a lot of tastiness to be found there!   The Paintbox Soapworks Yules are up, or at least round one is (updates coming throughout the week). Interested in anything? Yes, and I added them to my Etsy favorites. I want everything in Man in the Moon, too.   If I were to place ONE LAST Weenie order, (uh, which I will) what would you want me to include for you? (presuming that is that the order can get here in time, bites nails)? Haven't tested all my BPAL decants or the bath brews from BPTP yet, so I don't know. I still haven't bought a bottle of Sonnet D'Automne like I wanted, though.   Will you be away for any part of the round? Don't think so, besides a couple days around Thanksgiving.   Anyone else with an Etsy store and a member of Tradeaholics (or you could join) and interested in bartering for gifts for their bunny? Don't have a store and am afflicted with craft!fail.   What type of books do you like? Dying to read anything? Patrick O'Brian, currently. I want to buy the Norton paperbacks of the whole Master and Commander series. I want to get into magical realism, too. Also like to read classic literature, fantasy, historic fiction, and nonfiction (linguistics, history of languages, teach yourself language books, astronomy, popular science, ancient history, archaeology, so many things! I just love to learn).   If you like Christmas music (or any other holiday music, for that matter), what kind of style do you like? Traditional? Modern and poppy? Indie? Traditional. Please, no poppy Christmas music!   Do you enjoy things that taste like roses? For example chewing gum, turkish delight, delicious goo that you eat by the spoonful out of a glass jar (and they all taste of rose. Yes, we have all these in Greece.) I'd love to try it! Don't think I'd like Turkish Delight, though, but I'd be willing to give it a shot. Goo sounds especially nommy.   I live in the city of the chickenwing. If I were to send you something savory, what's your heat tolerance (or sweet and heat for that matter)? What my favorite Thai place calls American hot. Sweet and spicy is okay, but I prefer savory.   If your fox/bunny were to gift you with a giftcard from anywhere, as in any store food wise, music wise etc. what giftcard would you like? Whoa, totally missed this question. World Market, Sock Dreams, Amazon, Elements and Artifacts, Joystreet, Think Geek, Barnes and Noble, probably others I'm forgetting.   If I were to send you chocolate is there anything I should avoid as in nuts, cherries etc.? Also, what are some of your favorite holiday candies? Candy canes! I love them so much. I use them to stir my hot cider, which turns out to be weirdly delicious. I don't really like nuts except for small doses of almonds. Coconut is also bad excepted for toasted and covered in chocolate and caramel, as in Samoas.   Does anything from FusionSweets interest you? Oh, yes. Added to my Etsy faves.   Interested in anything from the Elements and Artifacts Yule update? ALL THE THINGS. I love winter themes and colors.   Moxie Nouveau groupon? There are a couple of things there I'd like to try!   What's your favourite colour? Purple! I also like other dark colors, like blues, greens, reds, and greys, as well as black and rich browns.   Your favourite gemstone? I love amethyst. Gems in the above-listed colors are also nice, as are topaz and sunstone.   Your favourite animal (real or imaginary)? Elephants and cephalopods.   Do you have any intense phobias? Nothing I'm likely to get in a package!   Do you like/need boxes for perfume/knicknacks? Yes. My bottle collection has gotten a bit large. ETA: My Switch Witch sent me the most magnificent book-shaped box! As such, I no longer neeeeeed a box, but I still like them very much.   Chile, yay or nay? (Example: I had a delicious dark chocolate bar the other day that had dried cherries and red chile....YUM! There are local cookies here that are shortbread type with chile. And of course, in NM we are famous for our chile ristras which are mostly decorative (though usually you could use the dried chiles if you wanted to). Ooh, that chocolate sounds delicious. I'd love to try all the chile things!   Let's talk about fruit! Do you like dried fruit or hate it? Like some but not others? I like some of it. Don't really go for bananas, raisins, or prunes.   How do you feel about cherries? Prefer the sweet or tart versions? Dried? Jam? Salsa? Hot sauce? BBQ sauce? Love them with much love. All of that sounds nommy.   What is your general philosophy about patterns for accessories such as socks, scarves, and tights? Do you like solids? Stripes? Polka dots? Weird patterns like harlequin-type stuff? Any of the above? All of the above!   Would anyone else be interested in a soap dish or something like that? I am in need of one for my nice soaps, as the ones built into the shower are right under the spray for some reason.   If your fox were to knit something for you, would it be a lacy shawl or a pair of socks? Really, I'd love anything knitted. Socks might get more wear, as I'm not very good at figuring out what to do with accessories.   Are you a Harry Potter fan? If so, which house do you identify with, and why? Would you want knitted things/replicas/accessories in your house colours? Yep! I'm fairly sure I'm a Ravenclaw, and I love both book and movie House colors. Ravenclaw paraphernalia would certainly be welcome.   Are there any Yules from *PAST* years that you're interested in trying? Including past winter inquisitions? There are probably a bunch on my wishlist. I missed last year's due to lack of funds. Off the top of my head, I want to try Dreadful Lies and The First of the Three Spirits. Ooh, and Nuclear Winter.   Sooo. Yules. Those just happened. What are you interested in, Bunny? Very nearly all of them?   Do you like coin purses? Yes.   Do you prefer dark or milk chocolate? Not too picky about chocolate, really. I even like that impostor "white chocolate" in peppermint bark.   What are your opinions on traditional holiday cookie flavorings? I'm thinking anise and cardamom in particular. Love cardamom. Anise is okay in small doses.   Do you like artisan oils and vinegars? Very much!   Bunny, could you use a 2012 calendar, and, if so, do you like big monthly ones or the page-a-day type? I usually get a page-a-day Dilbert one for Christmas, but if you find a neat one of either variety, I'd love it.   Charity gifts? Either fair-trade type stuff, or virtual type gifts, like vaccinations or school supplies being bought on your behalf, or something along those lines? If you have a charity you love and trust, go for it! Wouldn't say no to fair trade, either.   Bunny, are you interested in tarts from Two Timing Tart? What scents, if any, are you interested in? I haven't got a tart burner, because my room is currently a fire hazard.   Do you need any holiday recipes? Is there something in particular that you'd like baked or made for you? And for those of you doing the no sugar/low sugar, etc. thing these days, how about savory things? I love to try new recipes. Send me all your favorites! (Unless they are seafood, in which case keep them FAR AWAY )   Speaking about candles, how much do you look forward to the BPTP candles that will be launched on Etsy? I don't know if there will be other scents than the Samhain and Pumpkin Cookie one, but is there a specific one you are longing for? I wasn't that interested in the Halloween ones, but the Yules are sounding interesting. I hear tell of one with an espresso note? I would be willing to overlook my general "no foodies" policies for a coffee shop scent.   Does anyone have issues with gently used things like books, etc.? Nope! I love used bookstores - they smell the best.   Are you a big ol' nerd for any particular subject? Science, math, linguistics, etc? Or particular authors/fandoms? Ha, I think my answer to the earlier question on books answered that pretty well. For fandoms: Merlin (I want the Merlin and Arthur action figures so much!), Doctor Who, Firefly/Serenity, pretty much any variation of Sherlock Holmes.   Bunnies, how do you feel about lemon-flavored items, like lemon marmalade, lemon curd, lemon pound cake, or lemon cookies? I love lemon! Send me all the lemon things!   Fingerless mittens or full mitts? Either! I want some fingerless for work, but I love most varieties of winter-wear.   Cthulhu: yes or no? Yes!   Any crafty pursuits you’ve been dying to experiment with? Would you like a little kit of something you’ve never tried? Do you need any particular items for your new or existing stash? I don't really do anything crafty on a regular basis, but I like to dabble in calligraphy and am not really well-supplied for that. I'd love any kind of kit! I can almost guarantee that I will be terrible at whatever craft you'd like to introduce to me, but I will have a great time doing it.   Would you rather have an early reveal, or would you prefer one close to the end of the round? No preference! Whatever my Fox would like is fine with me.   Baking supplies? Baking supplies are my favorite! Crafts and I don't mix well, so I work out my desire to make things with food. I don't need anything basic, since I'm living with my parents until the next school year, and my mom's got all that covered, but holiday-specific things would be lovely, as would unusual-for-VA spices!   Anniversary Update! Does anything interest you, Bunny? Everything! I love Beth's interpretations of light and time of day. I'd especially like to try Phoenix at Dawn and Phoenix at Midday, but then Dusk and Midnight are night blends, and I tend to adore those, too...   Giant microbes? So cute!
