Switch Witch Ketchup #5

Sorry dear Witch, but I got eaten by the ZOMG SW thread is overwhelming monster. BUT I did manage to dive in today and grab these questions from the great Lioness.   I hope all is well with you wherever you may be!   10/4/10 Do you have a preferred weight of yarn to work in? Lace, sock, worsted, bulky, handspun with variation? Don't sent me yarn, the cat might like it, but that's it. Anyone like little seasonal decorative wreaths? Like gravevine wreaths embellished with silk flora, etc.? Sure! I'd hang it up at work. Do any witchees need a Snuggie? We have several Snuggies, but they don't get used that often, so no thank you.   10/01/10 So, who here loves pomegranates? Are the good as a fruit, a flavoring or just a scent? When I was little we used to have a Pom tree in our yard.. eating them is fun, but a bit of a pain. They are yummy in juice and not so yummy on me. I've tried the 5 Weenie Pom scents and only one was a win and it wasn't the one I expected! I love Pom V, but I guess my love of amber redeems everything and the pepper actually behaved and didn't amp to high stinky heaven. Haunt Update? No thank you, I tried a few decants of their perfume and really was not amazed... everything just smelled like potpourri and really did not work with my chemistry.     9/30/10 Villainess has an update. Anyone wanting anything from it? Cobwebs sounds intriguing but I don't know if it would actually smell good? Curious but I don't think it's worth wasting money on.. I'd rather pick up some other tried and true favs.. hehe. how are all the witchees fixed for purses--lunchbags, etc? Hmmm I'm pretty picky about my purses, so please no. Lunch bags or that type of thing is welcome though. I love having a selection. Now, I have a question for you. About notes. Which are your favourite ones? Do you have a kind of "note top ten?" Anything that works particularly well on you? Do you have a perfume category (foody, floral, aquatic, musky) that you favour? And are there any notes you have never tried, but think would work well on you? Oh boy, hard question. Now I have to think! Though I also think I provide this info in various places. I tend to land with alot of the heavier type of scents. Incensey, musky. So far even the lighter scents I like end up having "weight". Like Green Tree Viper and Daiyu, they are lighter scents but in the end - they end up with a warm vanilla note. (doesn't smell like pastry cream that they stuff long johns with, but with that sort of scent heaviness to it. I think this is why I hate describing scents.. I have an odd vocabulary) Anyhoo I am trying to find some lighter sparkling types. But if that never happens, I'm happy with the fun ones I have now Would you like a sugar skull decorated by your witch? Or do you like sugar skull stuff in general? No thank you, I do think they are amazing and very beautiful, you never see things like that in Hawaii.. but it is very humid here and we have lots of bugs. I think the ants would find a way to carry it off!   9/29/10 Is there one scent that is your goto for comfort on a bad stressful day? Like the perfume equivilent of a security blankie? Not really, though I will go into the shower and use my peppermint soap to just breathe in and feel tingly and fresh and hopefully dissolve all the tension. What are you going to be for Halloween? I have no idea. Is there something just super random you like/enjoy/want/are ogling that has not been and will not be covered by any other questions, because it's just that WEIRD? I don't think so?   9/25/10 If you could make a scent that represents where you live (or have lived), what would be the ingredients? Nopers, this sounds soo negative, but I really can't imagine real scents getting captured in a bottle. I know sometimes that it does happen. And most times it's just nature, and I don't want to smell like it, I just enjoy it when I notice it. Are you in need of Roller bottles or anything of the like? Nopers, I do decant circles and can easily order this type of thing.   9/24/10 Just curious, but if your witch was to make an amigurumi critter (or other plushie) just for you, what would it be? A cat Would you want a local/tourist item from your witch? Like a t-shirt, mug or shot glass? Ummm none of the mentioned things, but if there's something foody like Jam, bread, cookies, YES PLEASE? Okay, who wants NAlloween and some Vampire Apothecary goodness? No thanks. There are so many etailers! Good grief! Venomous Villains? I got the pretties I wanted. Last Unicorn? I'm kinda meh, I gotta a read the story, and see the notes. I'm actually more interested in the RPG line. Who is your fav Disney Villian/villianess? How about hero/herione? (doesn't have to be specifically Disney though) Favorite Villain is Maleficent. Favorite disney char.. it's not a hero or a heroine... it's the fairies in Cinderella.. I love how they argued and I dunno, they are just soooo dang cute!!!   9/23/10 Do you collect stones/rocks? I'm talking like "semi" precious stones, ie moonstone, bloodstone, quartz ect. Are there any that you're looking for at the moment? Are you in need of a stone but don't know which kind? Not really, I would just lose it I know that just sounds sooo horrid, but I know me.. I would misplace it by accident. What's your favorite Halloween Music? Silly stuff.. Monster Mash! Thriller.   9/22/10 Do you have a deviantart print wishlist or favourites list? No I don't, I used to visit deviantart, but they had so much stuff it became overwhelming. Is there anything from Blooddrop that you want to try? GC? Halloween update? No thank you. What kind of shoes do you need/want? What size shoes do you wear? Would you mind gently used shoes? Hmm I don't need want any, my feet are picky and I wouldn't like used ones. Do you like paper dolls (new or vintage) or coloring in books? Not really Do you like weird scary things as traditionally girly fashion items like heels and handbags? No, I tend to gravitate toward elegant, clean lines. What song is on heavy rotation for you right now? Wow, weird.. I just realized I haven't been really listening to music lately. Are you coveting any of the NYCC atmospheric sprays? Nopers If you could get any one thing hand-painted from your witch, what would it be and what would be on it? Art is so subjective that I have a really hard time pinning it down... like perfume. Most times I just react. Which is so not helpful to my Witch >.< Sorry! Just surprise me, I know that I would love anything just because! Would you (assumin' you're a yarnie) be interested in a naturally-dyed yarn that's designed to very gradually fade with washing? I'm not a yarnie! Wheee easy question to answer. If you have played before, what are some of the most memorable things you've gotten? What really made you go WOW? If you haven't played, same thing, but not limited to SW. Not SW (this is my first time) - I think one of the neatest things I ever received was a magazine that a friend cut & pasted into.. and subbed pics of our group of friends into. It was so different and obviously well thought out.. (p.s. Witch, the imps you sent would fall into this category!)   9/21/10 Can I talk to you about the living dead? How do you feel about Zombies? Umm you can talk to me about it?? They are alright, I read and watch stuff with them in them. I'm not particularly obsessed with them... I do love early Anita Blake stuff where she raised them and such, in fact I wish they would go back in that direction... BLAH!! lol!

Dear Witch – I’ve gotten very boring on this Ketchup, so many questions… and I have to admit some of them really don’t apply to me because I already mentioned I’m not very crafty so I don’t want that kind of thing. I think I’ve gotten to the point where I’ll have very short answers on stuff I think I’ve answered. I can barely get through the thread anymore.. I just hop in there to stalk my Witchee, grab the new questions and hop out. >.< I know.. I’m soo not SOCIAL!!!! I'll try to keep up with the questions but if you want more detail on questions I think I've answered before, please contact me. Thanks!   9/21/10 Do you like garlic? Do you REALLY like garlic? Would you want to try some really unusual garlic stuff, like garlic cheese or garlic fudge or garlic chocolate, etc., etc., etc.? Sure!   9/20/10 If you happened to be my Witchee, is there something you'd like from the Arcana Halloween update? Hmmm the only thing that appeals would be Straightjacket & Holy Terror Soap – I haven’t actually tried any Arcana Oils How many bottles of BPAL do you have? 10-15? Not very many, and not counting decant circle left-overs. Is there any exercise program that you're interesting in learning? Meditation, Yoga, Pilates, Belly Dancing, Zumba ect? Or if you do any of these (or anything else sport related) are there any things you need/want? Candles, music, mats, water bottles ect? I have dvds of meditation, yoga, pilates and belly dancing.. yeah I know.. I had fun doing them, but I’ve gotten out of the habit of exercising… I guess I should move my butt and start doing them again! (p.s. theatre can take up a lot of time so when I am in shows I stop doing that kind of stuff). I don’t really need any additional supplies. Anyone else into Emily Autumn? I’ve never had any and would love to try it.   9/19/10 Do you read/like fantasy? What kind of books or authors do you love? Which one would you like to read? Would you like gifts related to it? I think I’ve already answered this? But if you want more indepth detail, give me a holler. Soaps : do you like them? What brands? What scents? Anything you're dying to try? See above fantasy question. I wondered if my witch or any witch would enjoy things like nice pens to draw with or anything similar? No I don’t draw. For those who are yarnies, would you like other-than-yarn witchery? Hooks, needles? Preference of material? Do you use/would you like handmade stitch markers, etc.? No. Does anyone do altered books? Would you be interested in old books to alter? Any type or title in particular? No. Did someone ask about incense yet? Would you like some? Something to store or burn it in? What scents? What form? No incense please. Any oddball free things you collect or would want saved for you? Umm no.   9/18/10 Who likes hair toys, and if so what kind? My hair is bad, it doesn’t get to play with toys. Okay silliness aside, I do like to use hair sticks and scrunchies. Does any art we may send need to be child safe, either in the actually safe sense or the non X rated sense? Ummm, I don’t have children so that’s okay, I would prefer not to get anything art related that’s x-rated. I do have a kitty, but seriously there’s nothing that’s ever kitty safe as far as I’m concerned.. they are imps! In the knitted/crocheted things area, would you want wrist warmers, 1/2 gloves, a neck warmer(the kind that pretty much just goes around your neck and maybe fastens instead of being long and loose like a scarf), slippers, or hats? ½ gloves and neck warmers would be my preference. How do you feel about altered/recycled/upcycled items of clothing or accessories? They would be cool. One of my fav stores on etsy makes these amazing (aka really expensive) upcycled sweater/jacket things. Is there anything you want from the Violette Market update? I haven’t tried VM scents at all. So… I actually don’t WANT these.. it’s more like if decants came my way I wouldn’t turn them down. Who am I kidding I wouldn’t turn decants of any kind down. But these are the scents that description’s that caught my attention: Ms. Dolly's Frock Shop, Miss Susanna West, Zarya Occultist and Tarot Card Reader, Lydia's Firefly Lanterns, Raven's Midnight Pumpkin Patch, Gertrude's Half-Haunted Bake Shop, Ghost Dancer, Glowing Jack O' Lantern. What is your favourite habitat and climate to live in? How about to visit? (ie. forest, canyons, mountains, by the beach; temperate, tropical...) I would love to live in a cool breezy forest, somewhere that didn’t get muggy. Oh and the forest would every so often have a nice big open space filled with grass that I could lie in the sun if I ever wanted…. What do you wish you could make/craft if you had the know-how and supplies? Specifically, which particular items? I don’t want to craft anything… so I shan’t answer this.. mwahhahahahah. SIGH – okay after typing that I felt guilty. Dear witch, if you HAD to torture me I would do jewelry. The only thing is I have a lot of supplies already, beads, crystals, pearls, Swarovski, metal findings… etc. I have a lot of supplies for a lot of unfinished hobbies lying around… please please PLEASE do not encourage that kind of pack-rat-ism in my life… LOL! Is there anything you would like from Conjure Oils general catalogue or the new updates that isn't already on your wishlist? I never realized it till this set of Ketchup, but I really haven’t tried a lot of other company’s oils. I haven’t ever tried Conjure. Scents that seem interesting are: Incubus, Lucifer, Succubus, Abandoned Morgue 2010, Calavera de Azúcar 2010, Sweet Death 2010. ( Wow, I might have to go find a circle, these are really appealing to me – I wish I hadn’t gone to see what their new scents are!) Am I alone in this, or is there a Book Fair/Comic Con scent you're dying to get your paws on, too? None of them are really calling out my name. Anyone need address/phone type books? Nopers   9/17/10 Are there any particular movies, tv shows or cd’s that you’ve been meaning to buy for years but just never got round to getting? Would you mind a gently used dvd/cd if your witch had it or could get it?? Firefly - gently used would be fine. Is there anything from the Possets' Hallowe'en update you're lusting after? Dark, Gypsy Grave and Melanie Would you like a custom/altered toy either from a seller or from your witch (like My Little Pony, or a Barbie or any particular toy that can be changed?) No thank you. Do you like the candy apple, candy corn or pumpkin spice kisses? I’ve never seen these!! I would love some! Anne Taintor, anyone? Not interested. Which web comics do you enjoy? Ummm Gunnerkrigg Court – but Im not interested in any products. OHHH but on a side note.. I really like Get Fuzzy, which is a real comic.. Fuzzy is such a rotter!   9/16/10 If I were to knit a scarf, would you prefer a skinny one, or a wide one? A short one, that when wrapped once around your neck will just tuck under your jacket, or a long one, at least to your waist? I have no idea, surprise me? Don't like scarves? Would a rectangular shawl or triangular shawl be more to your taste? Rectangular How do you feel about recipes? Love them. Though I don't need a recipe box. What I have is a recipe binder - Full sized regular binder that has sheet protectors as pages.. I just slide the recipes in. What kind of a cook/baker are you? I like to bake desserts of all kinds, though I haven’t actually tackled a full cheesecake (have done tartlets). Cooking wise, I do okay but am challenged with roasting big pieces of meat.. haven’t quite learned the art of this. My favorite cookbook is the Joy of Cooking – I love how crazy detailed it is. Are you happiest calling for delivery or microwaving a lean cuisine, Or will Food Network be asking you to host their new program? I enjoy food and cooking, but when I’m tired.. screw it – the microwave is the BEST invention EVER!!! I can't imagine the Food Network contacting me.. I don't have the ability to throw in a little bit of this and that together and miraculously have it taste good. If I send you something home made would you like the recipe for it? Sure! If you are someone who doesn't want baked goods sent, would you like a collection of some of my favorite recipes? Gimme the baked goods dammit!! No holding out allowed How about home made mixes or kits? Kind of like the cookie in a jar thing, where you would need to add the perishable ingredients? That sounds great, I haven’t ever received things like that, I would love to try it. if you are a tea lover, what are your flavor preferences? Green? Black? Herbal (I know, technically those are NOT teas, but tisanes)? Flavored blacks/greens? I think I’ve covered this question.

WITCH THIS IS CRAZY!! SOOOO MUCH KETCHUP I'm going cuckoo!!!   9/15/10 How do you feek about silly, funny knick-knack, dollar store stuff, stickers, magnets etc? Would you like receiving that kind of stuff or rather not? I like stickers and magnets... not so sure about the other stuff? Silly is always good though! Is there a specific book you've been wanting to get but haven't found the time or the opportunity to? I always have these... the only one that is popping into my head are the Stiegg Larssen ones... and one I heard about that is in HC.. Rock Paper Tiger by Brackmann Do you read mangas/watch animes? Which ones? Do you have a particular favourite? Would you like to receive mangas or anything related to them? No thank you Are you open to receiving things that are not on your wishlist, maybe something your Witch thinks you might like? Definitely! If you have something on a wishlist that we could craft INSTEAD of buying, though it might not end up identical to the wishlist thing, would it be okay to craft it instead? Obviously we don't want to copy anyone else's design, but if we can replicate the flavour or intent that you like without stepping on toes? Sure! OK, I know that lots of folks love socks. Do you have a preference of length? Materials? Patterns? Super soft and superduper long! How do people feel about word magnets They be good!   9/14/10 Chocolate or other types of candy? Chocolate and fleur de sel caramels are favs. Things I'm not fond of... Skittles, starbursts, gummy bear/worms. For tea drinkers, do you prefer loose leaf or tea bags? I prefer loose, but I drink bagged stuff too. If you would enjoy something of a knitted persuasion, do you have a preference on type of thing? Since making a scarf for someone who has 10 might be a smidge excessive? Also, how do people feel about shawls? I don't have very many knitted things, so scarves and shawls are welcome. Is there a TV, movie or literary character that you are a lot alike, or would like to be alike? Ummm I don't think so.. I'm not half as exciting as anything in the media! What do they like or dislike? Also is there anything a (sane) adult might think they would like that you don't think is appropriate for whatever reason? (I'm thinking of things like temp tattoos, make up, things that make noise, or anything else that might be bad for non-obvious reasons.) Don't have any children, please stop!! This is giving me nightmares! Is there anything you would like that can be delivered over the internet? Things like fanfic recs, cat macros, mp3s you are looking for, how-to or amusing videos, things like that Ummm nothing that comes to mind. What would your last meal be if it could be anything in the world (sky is the limit, drinks too, the whole shebang) I'm such a foodie, that this question disturbs me... pick!! choose!! WHAT!!! NOOO!!! Oy. I would love a really good medium rare steak with a baked potato, slathered in butter, crisp steamed vegetables and at the end crazy rich to die for triple chocolate cake. NaNoWriMo? Switch Witch Ketchup #2

Alrighty round 2... I'm sorry but it's not totally fleshed out. I'll prolly come back in a day or two to answer some of the questions better. Most of these are finished though.   9/13/10 what interests you from the latest lab update? Lilith's Tea Party, I have alot of decants coming to me from the Halloweenie's and until I try them out, I can't say what I'd actually like? I'll update this if I do find some wants in there though! How do you feel about stationery, like nice pens or notepaper? And if you're in favor, do you prefer classic/contemporary or cutesy stuff? I like them, I tend to like to go for the more classy things or retro pop.. bright colors appeal to me as long as they aren't clashy. Would you like homemade preserves (e.g. marinated vegies, pickled onions, chilli jam?) Would love them! If you've got stuff on your BPAL wishlist, would partial bottles be okay? Sure! Though I STILL NEED TO UPDATE MY WISHLIST!! I have to add a few more things so please don't despair that it looks really small right now. Would you like something you have to make yourself? No please, I have too many 1/2 done projects in my life. Say you were my witchee, and I found things on your wishlist that I could totally make. Would you want me to make it? Or would you rather it be purchased for you? Ohhh go for it! Who is your favorite soap etailer? Hard question.. Villainess is really up there, but I'm pretty well stocked up at the moment... Sooooo my next etailer would be... Savor. I need to get more Creme Fraiches. I love Peppermint, Starfruit Pavlova and Princess Bride. I prolly will try to get mini's of Coconut Mochi, Dulce de Leche, Creme Brulee, Gingerbread, Pear Quince, & Lemon Lime Poundcake.. OHH and one day try their new Shea Butter Scrub things... Can you tell I'm a bath freak... *exasperated at self sigh* Dear Witch, please don't feel pressured by the huge list, I'm just rambling alot to give you ideas! What about vintage decoration items, teacups, etc etc? Ummm not quite my cup of tea, though I find the faded colors so pretty. With regards to your gifts, would you prefer your presents' awesomeness evenly spread out (several packages of pretty terrific things) over the round or a slow build-up of awesomeness (going up from pretty cool things to something super-duper cool at the end) to go out with a bang? Do you have a preference? I don't have a preference, whatever works best for my Witch! What kind of make-up do you wear? What colors? Is there anything you'd like to try but haven't yet? I wear all kinds, mostly been grabbing my Archetype stuff though. I have all colors of the rainbow and what I wear really depends on my mood. Who would be on your top 5 (IE famous people you’d date/have relations with )Vin Diesel, Johnny Depp (will get back on the rest of them) Do you crave many Ecards and contact or are you okay with little contact from your Witch? I'm okay with little contact, but if my Witch likes to do it more often then I have no qualms about it! Do you have a place where you list all the BPAL you have or have tried? No, I just have a printed out list that I update.. sorry my witch Do you like maple sugar candy? Yum! What is your position on the chocolate & bacon flavor combination? I haven't tried anything like this yet, but would LOVE TO! If you are a tea-drinker do you need a tea-cozie for your pot? No, I don't have a teapot.. I know blasphemy.. I tend to use those fill your own loose tea teabags. Go to your spice cabinet, what are the three most used spices? Garlic, Onion, Cinnamon Microsoft or Apple? Microsoft. Where was your last vacation? What did you like most?(will come back to this) Would you appreciate receiving handwritten letters and/or postcards (anonymous or not)? How about sending them? I'm so-so on this, I would appreciate it, but it doesn't necessarily float my boat? My Ipod would tell you that I listen to waaaaaaayyyy too many fiction pieces. I particularly love listening to fantasy, science fiction and horror story podcasts. I also love Scott Siegler.. he podcasts his novels in segments and he totally rocks as a writer/podcaster. Music is very pop-ish.. though I tend to have the music for the musical I'm currently in rehearsal for or the musical I'm interested in trying out for on there. Any countries you're interested in? Wasnt this a questionnaire question? Would you enjoy homemade bath products (bath salts, fizzies, etc.) and/or linen sprays? Esp. if scented with some of your favorite BPAL scents? Oh yeah baby! If you witch made you something and it didn't come out just right, would you still want it? Sure! I would be touched to have something that someone put time and energy into. Are you a foodie? YES!!!!!!!!! !!!!! Any sports fans in the house? What's your favorite sport/team/player? No, I'm not into sports at all. For holidays, do you decorate? Would you like decorative stuff, weenie or otherwise? If so, do you lean towards the elegant, the crafty/folksy, or the more, erm, campy? I would say I really love elegant.. then crafty folksy... campy is not my style. Do you like journals/notebooks/sketchbooks? I think they are pretty, but I wouldn't really journal with them. Regarding sketchbooks - I really am not artistically talented in that way.. even my stick figures go "wtf?"   9/11/10 Cake truffles? If YES! Cake/icing/chocolate type? Yes.. chocolate, dark chocolate, lemon, and spicecake.. and icing whatever would go with them? are you interested in mini bottles(under 100ml for hand luggage) of bath and body products? Sure! Mini's are a great way to try items without getting stuck with something you might not like. Vampire shows, literature, etc? Yay or nay? Generally I say yay. Though lately the quality of books has gone down.. too many authors trying to cash in on the popularity of vampires and the paranormal. I actually gave Twilight credit for the sparkling vampire angle.. it's fresh. If you play console video games, what game systems do you have and what games would you love to have? I don't play console video games, just computer games... In particular World of Warcraft. Allied, Dwarf Priest.... How do you all feel about flowers and plants? Flower and plant seeds? Drawings of flowers or plants? Pressed flowers? Flower and plants are awesome... I kill them unfortunately >.< So I just enjoy them as I see them or when I buy a bouquet. Pressed flowers make me feel sad, poor squashed things >.< How do you feel about marzipan? Dislike it. If you could have 3 BPAL bottles fall (gently) out of the sky right this second that you've been looking for or pining for - which 3 would they be? Smiling Spider, Black Panther, and Metal Tiger. Hmm, I apparently have an animal theme going on??? O.O Are there any international treats that you love and have a hard time finding? How picky are you? Not that picky, I tend to like an artist's work in general. Though what is on my list will most likely be my favorite piece. Do you wear make up? Yes, though the amount I wear varies on my mood. I would say I'm a medium user - definitely for work and maybe on the weekends.
