Holy SW ?s, Batgirl!

September 21st   Cthulhu: yay or nay? OMGYAY!   Is there something that you wish you could do, but you keep putting it off? Get portraits of Ow1goddess and I taken.   Put your current mp3player (I am the anti-apple, so no ipod ), winamp playlist, what have you, on shuffle, list the first 10 songs:   Witchee, have you made (or are you planning to make) any Lab or Trading post orders soon? And if you did (or plan to), you should share what you're getting! I caved and ordered Fruit Bat Fruit Bath. And I think Ow1goddess is planning to order some Spun Sugar Spectre, but you could always just tell her not to.   Do you have any interest in rocks? Not like, polished colorful stones.. but like... rocks. With geologic significance! I like rocks. I am a nerd. If they have significance, please tell me of it, so that when people admire my awesome rock I can tell them all about it!   If your witch were to knit you a scarf/shawl/cowl, which would you prefer, and what features would you want? Would you prefer something light and drape-y or thick and warm? What kind of colors would you prefer? Do you have any fiber allergies or preferences? I tend to prefer natural fibers, but I love all kinds of scarves/shawls! I don't own any shawls or cowls at all, I'm perpetually knitting them for others and not myself.   If you have a pet, could you please post a photo of it? I really need to see what your pet, if you have one, looks like. YAY TIME FOR SPOT PICTURES!!   Do you like/own/wear/want fairy wings or something of the like? I like them, don't own any, and I'm not sure when I'd wear them. Of course, if they're amazing, I will find a time.   How do you feel about terrariums? I feel that my cat may knock it over and eat the plants inside.   What's your favorite horror movie? April Fools Day!   If your witch was the practical type and wanted to include one or more of your everyday essentials, what would those include? I'm talking about the bath products, lotions, face lotions, teas, food, etc that you really use every day. I really need a better face lotion. The Hope in a Jar I have right now leaves me a greaseball by midafternoon. Not attractive.   Jane Austen .. Yay or Nay? Pride and Prejudice, YAYAYAYAYAYAY! Jane Eyre, OH HELLS NO.   I put up quotes I love in my office and studio to get me going, They range from goofy to sarcastic to inspirational... Are you interested in a hand painted quote? Do you have one in mind, or a topic in mind? Yes, I'm definitely interested! It sounds awesome! Nothing in particular comes to mind, though. I like Shakespeare?   Do you like period or period-styled paraphernalia? Stuff like postcards, notecards, jewelry, office supplies, what-have-you? YES.   If you like manga, comics, and/or graphic novels, what is it about them that you like, in general? The story, the art/style, etc? It's all about the story and the art.   If you could choose a Smack from Villainess, what would it have in it? Limeade, Raspberry Plum, and either Spice Trade or Unearthed.   If you could have a salon scent made, based on any artwork(s) what would it be? Ooh, I'd want the frescoes from the Villa of the Mysteries in Pompeii! This one is my favourite panel: "The two themes of this scene are torture and transfiguration, the evocative climax of the rite. Notice the complete abandonment to agony on the face of the initiate and the lash across her back. She is consoled by a woman identified as a nurse. To the right a nude women clashes celebratory cymbals and another woman is about to give to the initiate a thyrsus, symbolizing the successful completion of the rite."   Are you scientifically curious and/or process-oriented? Would you like a project-type gift that allowed you do do something like make soap from scratch, take and (nontoxic-ly) develop photographs using a pinhole camera, use plant dyes on yarn or fabric, etc.? It sounds like fun, but I might not get around to actually doing it, depending on what it is.   What's 'your' song/your theme song? Girl Anachronism, by the Dresden Dolls.   What would be your superpower? I am outing myself big time as a Slytherin, and probably not the best of moral character here, but did anyone else watch the X-Files and remember Pusher? I totally want to be able to do that. NOT TO HURT PEOPLE. I just want the person at the registrar's office to send me a transcript, darn it! I want the person in customer service at Verizon to listen to me when I tell them I've already done the simple troubleshooting like resetting the router/computer. I want people to stop fighting on vent and raid like civil people! I want people to pay attention in class! Is that really so wrong? (Fair warning, though: I might use it to convince people they want to let me have the Ashes of Al'ar. It's clearly too girly for our big butch Taurens. Give it to the female Blood Elf priest instead of the Druid or the Shaman! It's a no-brainer! >_> )   Witchee, would you like a gently used BPAL tshirt? Yep, as long as it isn't one of the ones I already have! (Naughty and Nice from the last Yule Inquisition, Miskatonic Valley Yuletide Faire)   Do you like homemade snack mixes? I know Puppy Chow was mentioned in a previous question, but what about healthier and more natural type snacks like granola or trail mix? You can put a lot of delicious and fun things into trail mix, yeah? If you say "Sure, I'd love some!" what kinds of things do you like/not like in those kinds of snacks, ie coconut flakes, raisins, certain nuts (allergies??), candy, etc. Give us your list of DO's and DON'Ts! I don't like coconut flakes, and I'm allergic to wheat. Other than that, as long as it's not too heavy on the raisins, anything goes! I love nuts!   Do you like charm bracelets? If you had a bracelet, what sort of charms would you want on it? Favorite hobbies, symbols, whatever? I used to have one, but I just wouldn't wear it now, between my watch and other bracelets.   September 20th   Would you like any ecotools makeup brushes? They're kinda one of my favorite things ever, and they're animal-friendly and the handles are bamboo. And to top it all off, they work really well for applying makeup. Yes! Bring on the brushes!   Do you like Lego? Especially mini-fig key chains, Lego block keychains, small Lego sets, etc? I like the extra-dorky Lego, like Lego Harry Potter things. I would love a Lego Snape!   Since the previous question about "what would you buy from the Lab if you had unlimited funds, etc" left WAY too much to the imagination with no limitations (my answer was pretty much BUY ALL THE THINGS!), what would you do if you found a $50 bill on the ground and a nagging voice in the back of your mind told you that you HAD to spend it on BPAL or else face Death. Also, say they had free shipping (LOL) so don't factor that in. What would you get? And spend it all! Or as close to $50 as you can get. Halloween: Las Vegas, and Honey Hair Gloss!   Are there any characters that you love or identify with? Love:   Identify with:   A question! If you are crafty, what's your personal art style? I'm not talking just about what art you like to look at, but what kind of art do you like creating? Do you have a "process" while you're creating beauty?   Are there any Arcana Weenies that you MUST HAVE?   So what say you? IS an "unexpected" visit/in-person witching OK? YES! I would love that! You could coordinate with Ow1goddess ahead of time!       September 19th   What strange misc. items would you love to receive that you just haven't gotten for yourself?   How do you feel about franken polish? Are you okay with all chemicals, or would you prefer 3 free? Would you want glitter or holographic glitter? What colors would interest you?   Dear witchee, how do you feel about lip balm? Favorite style (twist up tube, pot, tube with wand, etc.)? Favorite flavors? Flavors to avoid? Favorite brand? Do you need more right now or are you set? Are you one of those people who could never have enough lip balm even though you have a bowl on your dresser overflowing with them and 10 in your purse and an order for more on the way? I hate petroleum-based lip balms. Hate. But I love Long Winter Farm on Etsy! I could never have enough of those. My beloved Earl Grey melted this summer, but I have Vanilla Pear, Red Currant, Blueberry Lemonade, and Lime, but I seem to recall there are about a billion more on my Etsy faves list.   Would you be interested in getting fountain pen inks or art supplies via JetPens and or DickBlick? (I know I have a wishlist on JetPens and just love using fountain pens in my artwork) It probably would be wasted on me. I like the black .35 rollerball pens.   For those interested in watercolors, how would you feel about getting a palette filled with paint from my watercolor tubes but not getting the paint tube itself? (kind of like this but without the covers for the compartments and bigger http://www.flickr.co.../in/photostream) Sadly, I am not a painter.   How do you feel about getting art supplies in general? (copic markers, watercolor, brushes, paint, sketchbooks etc.)   How do you feel about Threadless tshirts? I love them! I keep meaning to buy the boat-neck House Brawl girly tee, but I keep not getting around to it.   If you were turned loose in a basic drug store (CVS, Walgreens - a pharmacy with attached mini-mart, basically!) with a $20 bill, what would you pick up? Nail polish and eye liner!   Darling Witchee, would you enjoy farmer's market pickled veggies (green beans, garlic, asparagus, etc) or fresh canned peaches or something of that nature? Bring. It.   Do you prefer color or black-and-white photographs? Nature or abstract? This may not be helpful, but honestly I love all of those things.   Would you be interested in something like this? https://lostcrates.com/how-it-works Sure!   Amigurumi, yes or no? VERY YES!   I have a question! What are some of your favorite paintings? (famous or undiscovered?) Feel free to link to examples!   If you could have an image painted for you - sky is the limit - what would it be? Oh wow. This is hard.   Name your 3 favorite scents for candles. Rehab: Lime, mint, and ozone get sorted out by French lavender and white musk. Crazy Bitch: An insanely fruity blend with hints of vanilla sugar. Cougar: An expert blend of blackberry and tart cranberry. Meow!   Name your 3 favorite types/flavors of tea. Earl Grey, Matcha, and White.   September 18th   Do you wear t-shirts? Are there particular things you like on them? Would you like one designed by your Witch? And, if you don't mind saying, what size t-shirt do you wear?   How do you feel about pumpkin scented things? Not perfume related, but soap, candles, etc.... Candle would be okay, but I don't want to smell of pumpkin myself, generally, as it reminds me so much of candles.   Has anyone else heard of or does anyone else love Glamourkin? Some of them are awesome, some of them are not meaningful to me. My thought processes tend not to be so girly. I like "I promise you adventure", but not "Paint your sigil upon my heart" or "She sings a dove song".   Dear witchee, if you answered 'Mac' to the Mac/PC question previously issued by another participant, please tell me what kind of computer you have, what peripherals you own (like the wireless trackpad, wireless vs/wired keyboard and mouse), and whether you're interested in Apple-related items (stickers, keychains, other things with the logo, etc). I have a late 2006 iMac, which is going to be replaced in the spring (I hope). I'm using a Razer keyboard and a Razer Naga mouse. Both are wired, because having my mouse or keyboard die in the middle of a raid is likely to result in severe inconvenience. I'm in charge of heals for my WoW 25-man raid.   SOCK PREFERENCES?   Would you like/wear a pair of these? http://www.ravelry.c...rary/yoga-socks If so, what color? Probably not. If I have an excuse to be barefoot, I don't want socks!   Is there anyone here who likes toe socks? You know, those socks with a place for each toe? I do! I like toe sockies.   I missed most of the crazy food team action, but I am another for team EAT ALL THE THINGS! I've never had brussels sprouts, though. And it has to be soy or turkey when it comes to team bacon. Oh, and there's the wheat-free thing. I guess I am Team Jewish and Team Gluten-Free!   Stuff I like from across the Atlantic: Jelly Babies, Fruit & Nut bars, Cadbury Eggs, Paprika Pringles, any kind of candy, really. I don't think I can eat Allsorts any more, though, since I can't have wheat. If I could find a digestive that wasn't made with wheat, I would turn cartwheels. Same with Jammie Dodgers. I miss them so damn much.   Dr Who fan? If I could only join one team, it would be TEAM TARDIS! I've been watching since I was a kid: Five is my Doctor! I am also so in love with Eleven! LOVE. Seriously. Matt Smith does a wonderful job of being The Doctor. I am going to have to stop talking about Doctor Who before people start staring.   Anyone love Buffy/Angel? I didn't get big into Buffy, but that was mostly because the friends I had who were super into it were so annoying talking about it that it completely turned me off.   Do you wear t-shirts? Are there particular things you like on them? Would you like one designed by your Witch? And, if you don't mind saying, what size t-shirt do you wear? I love t-shirts, I especially love geeky ones, and I would love one designed by my witch!   How do you feel about pumpkin scented things? Not perfume related, but soap, candles, etc.... Not a huge fan. I prefer leafy scents for fall.   Has anyone else heard of or does anyone else love Glamourkin? Never heard of it, but I'm willing to look into it!   September 17th   Are you looking for a certain kind of DVDs to spruce up your collection right now? Not really.   Does anyone like postcards? Is anyone willing to be a Nacho witch for postcards? Sure, and sure! I can do Edgar Allen Poe-related postcards, the Poe Museum is right here in my hometown.   Anyone going to see any good concerts this fall? I wish! The Indigo Girls are coming next month, but I don't think we're going to be able to afford it.   Do you like Star Trek? Original TV series, films, spinoff series, etc? Favorite characters? In order of like: Next Gen (far and away my fave, I super love Data and Picard), TOS (SPOCK!), Voyager (for the holodoc and Janeway), DS9 (just haven't seen very much of this). Never got into Enterprise at all.   September 16th   Are you more prone to order out or cook at home? Would you be interested in cookbooks, kitchen utensils, and the like? If so, anything specific? If I'm going to eat in the house I'm probably cooking. I would definitely be interested in kitcheny stuff. Right now my biggest wish is one of those big flat bent things for icing cakes.   New question: How do you feel about maple syrup? LOVE. But it has to be the real thing. I have family in Montreal, and when I was growing up we were kept supplied with homemade maple butter/maple syrup, etc., so if it's not 100%, I can tell.   How do people feel about little pocket shrines, maybe something inspirational/motivational to keep in their purses/backpacks/whatever? (Like these: http://www.art-shrin...cketshrines.htm) Sure!   Do you like beef jerkey, I know some may be vegatarian, but where I live beef is a staple and beef jerkey abounds. If so do you it really thin, hard and crunchy or thicker and softer. (OK that borders on obscene) Yes, but if it has soy sauce it can't be made with wheat. :| I don't want to break a tooth on the stuff, either.   Also do you like or racier ecards from time to time and do you need to be warned if something may be not safe to open at work. Whatever you think is funny.   Doctor Who? Yay or nay? (please don't make me cry by saying nay) YAY YAY YAY!!!!! I started watching Doctor Who on PBS in the 80s, and I was so thrilled when it came back in 2005! I loved David Tennant as the Doctor, and I love Matt Smith's Doctor, despite being super skeptical since he was so young. But love. OH AND AMY AND RORY AND RIVER A;LFJA;DJFA;LKDFJ;AGA;LKDJF;KAJDLKJF   I have a couple spare Doctor Who stickers. If my witchee is a fan, would they like a couple Doctor Who stickers in their package? YES times infinity!   Anyone love Buffy/Angel? I know I'm a bad geek, but I never got into this. I liked the original movie, but never really got into the show.   How would you feel about gummies? Like, gummy bears? Gummy werewolves? Gummy vampires? Haribo forever! Gummi frogs, peach rings, HAPPY COLA, gummy worms, you name it.   How would you feel about a totally original Gela-skin for your laptop/iPod/phone? Stickers? Decals? YES! I have an iPhone 4 with a green bumper.   Since this is a Halloween round, what's your Creepy threshold? Are you a cartoon bats and smily pumpkins person or a skulls-and-bones the-dead-are-rising kind of person? Are your fairytales dark or Disney? Zombies! And I had a two-volume set of the real versions of fairy tales as a kid. When I watched The Little Mermaid and she didn't die at the end I was surprised!   Are your ears pierced, Witchee? Do you have any other piercings? Would you like to receive any items of jewelry for these piercings? Yep, my ears are pierced more than once, even.   How do you all feel about Whoopie Pies? As long as they don't contain wheat, I freakin' love them!     September 15th   Interested in anything from Lush? I'd rather have BPTP stuff, honestly. I used to be huge into LUSH, but I've replaced the soap with Paintbox, the scrub with Villainess, and the lotion with BPTP bath oils.   Do you blog? Would you like a header for your blog, a layout, etc? I have a LiveJournal layout that I'm actually really happy with, but my Tumblr is HORRIBAD and I just can't seem to come up with something. I would love something for that!   Would you be interested in a handmade bookmark? Absolutely!   do you like chex puppy chow or muddie buddies (ingredients: semi-sweet chocolate chips, PB, vanilla extract, powdered sugar, chex cereal)? would you want to get some from your witch / nacho witch? Yes! It just has to be one of the non-wheat chex kinds!   How would you feel about receiving a Groupon deal for something in your local area? If there is anything you WOULDN'T like, mention that also.   do you like real sugar skulls? Things with sugar skull designs? Never had a real sugar skull. Sugar skull designs are hit or miss for me. Alicia's sugar skull necklaces are lovely, but I've seen some really hideous stuff out there.   Who here adores meringue? I can take it or leave it, for the most part.   September 14th   Can you sum yourself (whether it be personality, life's goals, ethics, whatever) in 10 words or less? Wanted to be a surgeon, became actress, now nursing school.   How about little bottles of booze? Ya wanna? What kind? Yes, yes, yes! Crazy things! Especially in awesome little bottles!   What are your views on fudge and brownies? (Also, if you live in a warm place, where the fudge might melt, that'd be helpful to know. Or, if you're diabetic and fudge is death, that'd be useful to know, too.) I live in beautiful, scenic, bigoted Virginia, where the weather is schizophrenic. I'm also allergic to wheat, so don't use wheat flour in the brownies! They do make some tasty brownie mix that's wheat-free.   Also, what about mochi? Love it, hate it, baffled by it? Love, but now I don't trust places here not to use wheat flour and I usually don't have access to an ingredient list.   Anything from the update ya'll are liking? BPTP UPDATE OMG, I want like everything. Except the Candied Pumpkin perfume. Pumpkin is just not really my thing. I went into a lot more detail in the order anything question.   Does anyone like kimchi? Not me. But I've only ever smelled it. :yikes:   Would you be interested in a sample box(from somewhere like Birchbox or loosebutton)? Definitely!   You have to place a Lab and Trading Post order. Right fuckin' now. No spending limits. What do you buy? OH HELLS YEAH. This is gonna get long. First, I'm going to hit the Trading Post. I'm buying Spun Sugar Specter bath oil, Castitas bath oil, (I'm a bath oil addict, but I don't have a problem or anything. .) The Orchards of Hell atmo. spray, Harvest Festival atmo. spray, Exotic Bazaar atmo spray, Sugar Skull soap, Streuobstwiese soap, and ALL THE HAIR GLOSSES (okay, okay, Honey hair gloss). Then I'd throw in the Halloween tissue tee (Idk my chest measurement but I'm a 32E), a pair of yoga pants (I'm 5'8", 11 stone, 29" waist, 40" hips; make of that what you will. I'm still losing weight and aiming for 9st 9.), and a pair of purple sockfeetz. Then I'd get a Goldfish Pool locket--the story is personally relevant since I was a professional actor. After that I'd hit up the Lab. I'd order a backup of Crowley (my first GC order ever, and boy did I hit it out of the park on that one), a bottle of Bordello (which I keep meaning to buy and never seem to get around to putting in the cart), and then I'd take chances on some 'weenies, but last year the 'weenies were a 100% washout on me, so I'm super wary here. What I really need is decants, but since money is no object here I went down the LE page and hit add to cart on anything that looked good. The first thing in was Sonnet D'Automne, which looks like the biggest hit of the bunch for me. It's tempting to get a bottle of Samhainophobia, which I bought in 2007 and still abso-fraggin-lutely love. I also am tempted by the Vampire Bride, Nymphae Avernales, The Glittering Apple of the Stars, Elegy IX: The Autumnal, Pumpkin Princess, and La Calavera Catrina. And since Blood Moon is still up, in it goes.   Paintbox Soapworks - anything you're interested in, in general or from the latest update? YES YES YES. It's all on my Etsy faves, but I want Cicada and Guy Fawkes and Indian Summer soaps!   Do you guys have any sports that you follow obsessively? How about favorite teams and/or athletes I don't follow anything but Doctor Who obsessively, and that's not a sport. If we're talking American football, I go for Green Bay. I was on my college's varsity fencing, and football/soccer team. Senior year I was captain of the Sabre team, too.   How do you feel about notebooks/journals/stationery? Anything you need or particularly like? I love notebooks! My preference is for ones with perforations for tearing sheets out cleanly. Other than that, I'm not particularly picky, though I prefer that they not be made it China, and have some recycled content.   Does confetti/glitter make you angry or fill you with glee? Glitter makes me angry. Confetti is fun!   Fabulous witches and witchees, perhaps you all could note of you've received MeiLin's goodies? Or if you want? I have not and I am open to the idea!   How do you feel about stuffed animals/plushies/general soft, cuddly things? If you like them, what kind of animals would you be interested in? I'm picky about plushies, but the most recent acquisition on that front is an amigurumi adiposeling (Doctor Who again!) from DixieHellcat who ROCKS MY SOCKS. I love it! Before that, I got a wind rider hatchling (yes, I play WoW. For the Horde!)   How interested would you be on somewhat personalized bottle cap labels? Like these that I did? Okay, confession: this question was on a page that I skipped, but I'm assuming that these are for BPAL bottles? If so, YES!   When you're miserably sick (*sniffle, cough!*) what are the things that comfort you the most? Honestly? My wife and my kitty. Snuggles, back/foot/face rubs, and just knowing someone cares help so much. So maybe e-cards? Ooh, and food that's not full of dairy. I am so unhelpful here, aren't I? *hangs head*   What constitutes ultimate luxury to you? (go crazy!) Expensive truffles. Ridiculously HTF BPAL. Silk or cashmere sock or lace yarn.   What do you really NOT want? Things that suck? I don't know where this question is headed...     September 13th   How would you feel about kitchen towels and other similar household objects, if they are pretty or a souvenir? Sure, I don't really use them in the kitchen, but I can stick them in the bathroom! Our bathroom is green and blue.   How did you dress up for your last party or compulsory-formal-dress occasion? Little black dress with a simple necklace, freshwater pearl french hook earrings, and Fluevogs.   Do you enjoy puzzles/riddles? (Cryptograms, Sudoku, Crossword, Jigsaw, etc) The only kind of puzzles I don't love are slide puzzles.     September 12th   Would you like to receive e-books? And if so, in what format? Probably not, the only e-reader I have is my iPhone.   Would you be interested in a felted handbag? Do any of these styles appeal to you? http://tinyurl.com/3o2epzl (there's at least one guy-friendly style, too!) Yes, and I'll even check out the linked ones in a few minutes.   Are there are patterns, motifs, etc that you especially like? Not that I can think of at the moment!   Witchee, would you be interested in having a special tea cup/coffee mug/glass to drink out of? I so would!   If you're a tea drinker, is there any specific tea you would like to receive, not just the kind/flavor but also the type/packing--i.e., tea bags, loose tea, compressed, etc? I happily accept all teas, provided that they are not strongly chamomile or mint.   September 11th   Anyone here like caramels? Sea salted caramels?!?! Yes, and HELLS YES.   Would you like a hand dyed or hand painted scarf or wrap or other item? If so, what colors/designs/fabrics do you like? I would LOVE it! I'd love hand dyed/ hand painted yarn as well! I like green, silver, black, blue, purple, and red. :3     And another question; anyone like anything in particular from Think Geek? I have a wish list there, it's in my questionnaire!   Pinterest, do you have boards you want to share or are you following anyone with great boards you want to share? I have yet to check out pinterest.

Fall '11 SW Questionnaire

Switch Witch Questionnaire   Basic Info Birthday: 12 July Pets: One orange tabby cat named Spot. If you get the reference, you're awesome. <3 Children: Negatory. Religious orientation: Jewish   Favorite Holiday: Hanukkah and St. Patrick's Day, though I do love Halloween.   Occupation/Major in school: I was a theatre major in college, and afterward I was a professional actor for a while (Shakespeare is my favourite, I'm a huge drama nerd. Actually, I'm a huge nerd full stop.), then got married and settled down, so now I'm going to school again for nursing!   Living arrangement (by yourself, with roommates, etc): I'm married to ow1goddess, so naturally we live together!   Livejournal/Blog/Website: my livejournal is thechildoftime, I'm brbgallifrey on twitter and tumblr, and I'm achildoftime on Facebook. Sadly all these are fairly locked down, as my ex-husband is a major creep and likes to e-stalk.   Organizations/Causes/Activities (Things you belong to or causes you believe in): Animal Rights, Gay Rights (especially Marriage rights), Feminism, Planned Parenthood, Religious Freedom.     BPAL Favorite BPAL oils: Glowing Vulva, Love's Philosophy, Elf v.4, Geek.Goth, Cabaret.Goth, Thirteen (October '06 or August '10), Crowley, Penis Admiration, and In Reilig Oran/Sky City Before. I have been wearing honey/wine scents like they'll never make another one for some reason lately, and therefore I'm chewing through Fairy Wine. I've also been all over Womb Furie '10. Really though, anything similar to any of these = omgyesplz!   Favorite notes: Sugar, Lime, Honey, Red Currant, Black Currant, Wine, Musk, Leather, Spices, Dirt, Vanilla, Chocolate (of any kind). Sugar absolutely loves me, and I am lusting for honey BPAL at the moment.   Favorite non-BPAL perfumes: Burberry Brit is the only spray perfume I've ever loved. I think it's the lime.   Least favorite notes: Amber can be fine on me or it can KILL. It's beautiful in Aglaea, Glowing Vulva, and The Girl, but in other things (I'm lookin' at you, O) it turns into aggressive baby powder, and overpowers any other notes in a blend. Also, hemp tends to amp up and overpower everything when it hits my skin, so I stay away, but somehow it works in Banshee Beat, so who knows?   Least favorite non-BPAL perfumes: Pretty much everything but Brit and Be Delicious.   If Beth made a custom blend for you, what would the notes be, and what would you want the label art to look like? Doctor: an eccentric, enthusiastic, and slightly ridiculous scent! Lime sugar, white wine, black currant, and a drop of honey over warm musk, a leather-bound book, and a cup of tea. Is that a whiff of ozone? Say "Wheeeee!"   Clothing & Jewelry Hair type: long, "kitten-fine" according to my hairdresser, and dark chestnut brown.   Skin Type: super freakin' pale. I'm a MAC NC15. Thank you, Scottishness.   Allergies (specifically B&B related): I'm fine with most B&B stuff as long as it's made with minimal chemicals. I've never had a problem with anything from tartchef or Villainess or LUSH or the Lab/Trading Post, but some drugstore lotion/soap has given me hives.   Other things to avoid:I found out a year ago that I'm allergic to wheat (but NOT gluten-sensitive). So cookies/brownies are going to be more work than normal. It's extra terrible because I love baking, and now all the cookbooks I find start with "make your own flour!" Not really into having to buy and blend flours. I've looked at a few gluten-free blogs, since anything that's gluten-free is also wheat-free, but...yeah. Thank goodness for wheat-free Newman-Os and Fig Newmans.   Tub, shower or both? Both!   Favorite bath & beauty products: Paintbox Soap, Villainess scrubs, MAC/Urban Decay makeup, OPI nail polish.   Clothing Style/Fave garments: Geek chic! Probably a nice pair of jeans and a classic solid top. Three-quarter sleeved shirts are the best. Lately I've been wearing capris and nerdy shirts, or cute knee-length skirts.   Favorite clothing colors/colors to wear: Green!   Type(s) of jewelry worn: Earrings, earrings, earrings! Especially dangly ones on french hooks. I cannot get enough. I don't usually wear rings outside of my wedding and college rings, and I don't have many necklaces, because given the choice I go for earrings. My ears are pierced several times each.   Ring/wrist/collar size: My ring size is tiny (5-6.5), wrist is also small at 6 and 1/4", and my neck is similarly small (13"), so I can wear 16" chains no sweat.   Jewelry--gold or silver? White gold! Also silver.   Do you have any allergies to metal? Nope!   Favorite gemstones: Green garnet, emerald, garnet, ruby, opal, pearl.   Sock/Shoe Size: Socks: this is going to be shocking, but I'm the smaller size of socks. I'm a 7.5 in most shoes, 8 in heels since they tend to run small.   Lifestyle Style/home decoration style: Clean lines and classic, warm contemporary stuff.   Favorite decorating colors: Rich chocolate and spice browns, red, burgundy, wine, green of any variety, especially warm spring greens, and black.   Things you collect: glass paperweights, BPAL (obvs), sock yarn   Favorite music: Dresden Dolls, Indigo Girls, Dar Williams, Aimee Mann, Barenaked Ladies, They Might Be Giants, and most 90s music.   Least favorite music: Rap/Country.   Vegetarian/Vegan?: (Please be as specific as possible to reduce confusion!) I was a vegetarian but gave it up a few years ago. I'm thinking about going back eventually.   Other food restrictions: As I mentioned earlier, I just found out I'm allergic to wheat. I can generally still eat things that say they've been made in the same facility or on shared equipment with wheat without any problem. The key is for the ingredients to be free of wheat. I'm not gluten-intolerant, though, which is lucky, since there are more foods off-limits for gluten-intolerant people. Also, since I'm Jewish I don't eat pork. Not even (gasp!) bacon (turkey bacon, OTOH, is DELICIOUS).   Favorite flavors: Lime, any citrus, any kind of berry (including acai), pomegranate, pineapple, milk chocolate, and anything savory.   Favorite foods/drinks: Fish & Chips (crai, the breading--what will I doooo?), nearly any smoothie from Tropical Smoothie Cafe, Starbucks (only the chai and the soy lattes though) and I also enjoy a good steak (medium rare). I need to find a new source for cheese fries, too, since Outback's apparently are covered in wheat.   Favorite authors/genres: Sci-Fi and Fantasy, especially Terry Pratchett, Neil Gaiman, Steven Brust, David Coe, and of course Tolkein.   Least favorite authors/genres: Christopher Stasheff. I totally caught him recycling pages of text and trying to pass them off as descriptions of new creatures/places/people. Also John Ringo, Robert Jordan (the neverending, agonizing description of irrelevant things!), and anything Romance. Blegh.   Books/authors you'd like to read, but haven't yet: Tiassa, by Steven Brust.   How do you feel about receiving gently used books as gifts? Bring them on!   Favorite stores (including clothing stores): For clothes, New York & Company. Otherwise, The Apple Store, Cocoanut Jewelry (local store that sells work by independent artists--my #1 source for kickass jewelry), LUSH, MAC, Sephora (love me some Urban Decay--I desperately want the 15th Anniversary box!), Crate and Barrel, and Teavana.   Favorite online stores (including B&B stores): Sock Dreams, ThinkGeek, Paintbox Soapworks, Elements and Artifacts, Villainess, The Loopy Ewe.   Magazines you subscribe to: None at the moment.   Magazines you like, but don't subscribe to: Cooking Light, Interweave Knits, Doctor Who Monthly, Makeup Artist   Favorite movies: The Princess Bride, So I Married An Axe Murderer, Galaxy Quest, Lord of the Rings, and Office Space.   Favorite TV show(s): DOCTOR WHO for life! Also, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Babylon 5, Top Gear, and Mad Men.   Hobbies/crafts done: Knitting, BPAL box decorating, baking/cooking, and playing with makeup totally counts here, right?   Wishlists BPAL Wish List (including SW/SF Help): BPAL list: http://tinyurl.com/3ny3gdg, SW/SF help at my blog! Other website Wish lists (amazon.com, etc): Etsy: http://tinyurl.com/3cuavot Amazon: http://tinyurl.com/428j2tb ThinkGeek: http://tinyurl.com/3u8mbr6   Random Questions - On a scale of 1-5, how organized are you? I'd say 3. On my own, I'm a 4. But my dear wife is a walking tornado, and I just can't do it for both of us. I hold us together, though. Like I made BPAL boxes for her, and I make sure her bottles are labeled and her imps are in their own box...mostly.   - Where, outside of the U.S. would you love to visit? I would live in London or Edinburgh in a heartbeat. I'd love to visit Rome or Athens, as I did some graduate work in Classical Philology (languages).   - Do people tell you that you act older, younger, or your age? Used to be older, but now it's my age or younger. Apparently I got stuck at 26 (I'm...gulp...31 now).   - What animal do you feel like the most? KITTEH. This has been discussed and agreed upon. Ow1goddess likes to say that I'm the Cat Whisperer, and that I love cats because I am one.   - Your favorite feature about yourself: I have velvety soft skin, whether or not I exfoliate or moisturize, because I have a genetic collagen defect (Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome) that makes it that way! Ow1goddess says she's ruined for normal people, so we can never split up or she'll have to creep EDS groups.   - Do you live in a neighborhood or in the middle of nowhere? Neighborhood here!   - If you were a tree, what would you be and why? I was thinking about saying Olive, since it grows in places that are significant for me, and it has lovely silver leaves, and I do love olives. But I took a quiz that says I'm a Holly, which actually sounds good, too. "Holly people are cautious, capable, steadfast, efficient, supportive and protective. However, Hollies may be prone to perfectionism, loss of direction and possessiveness, especially toward people."   - Have you ever thought, "oh, I'm going to get myself one of those one of these days" but then never do? List 1 under $10 and 1 over $10. These things are legion! Under $10: BPTP Claw Polish! Over $10: BPTP yoga pants. I'm noticing a theme to these things.   - Has a stranger ever told you that you did something really well? What was it? Yes. Acting, fencing, and knitting!   - Do you like garage sales (boot sales)? Sure, but I never end up there--too early in the morning!   - I like to slather my food in: Salt (especially flavoured/seasoned salt) or Mrs. Dash.   - State fairs or carnivals? Either sounds like a great time right now!   Notes (Here's where you can add additional information you'd like your Switch Witch to know!): Ow1goddess is my fabulous, brilliant, and insightful wife, so if you have questions or want an opinion about anything, or want some inside info about what makes me tick, she's the one to ask. Since this is the BPAL board, I might be just the tiniest bit disappointed if I don't get even one sniffie of BPAL/BPTP.   Questions that got dropped from this year's questionnaire: - Have you ever been skinny dipping? Nope. I haven't. Never had the chance, really.   - Do you wear pajamas to places other than at your house? If I'm sleeping over somewhere, yes. Otherwise, no.   - Your least favorite feature about yourself: My saddlebag hips and my extra flab. I lost 60 pounds, which is good, but the loose skin is not so good. And I have 20 to go, and I need to start exercising!   - If you were a shoe, what would you be and why? A fluevog! Probably this one:   - They're making a bio-pic based on your life. Who's portraying you? Gillian Anderson. I was disallowed from making myself look like her in our stage makeup project because it was "too easy".   - Do you like to shop? Love it, as long as I'm shopping online or in one of my favourite shops. Otherwise, get in, get what you need, get out, done!   - Sunrise or sunset? Sunset on Pine Ridge at Camp Kittamaqund. Most beautiful thing in the state.

More Fall SW questions!

Woefully behind. WOE. Time for Mrs. Dash!   Are you coveting any of the NYCC atmospheric sprays? I DESPERATELY want Steeplechase Park.   If you could make a scent that represents where you live (or have lived), what would be the ingredients? I've always felt that the BPAL's London is wrong...it's all rosy, and doesn't work on me at all, which is so unlike actual London. I'll have to think of notes, though.   Are you in need of Roller bottles or anything of the like? No roller bottles, but I am also always in need of reducer caps and wand caps.   Mojito jelly was on my wishlist as soon as I saw it. Among other things.   Restaurant.com is having 90% off with code WOW. Any Witchee's have favorite restaurants that show up on it that they would like a GC from?? I don't see anything exciting in here.   Villainess has an update. Anyone wanting anything from it? Just a bar of Cobwebs, which I have obediently added to my Amazon wishlist, which includes everything not located at Etsy or ThinkGeek, in no particular order. I agree with Voodoocatwoman: LENTILS RULE THE WORLD!!!   WANT. SO MUCH WANT.   Is there one scent that is your goto for comfort on a bad stressful day? Like the perfume equivilent of a security blankie? Sugar Skull. I really wish I'd been able to lay my hands on the room spray.   What are you going to be for Halloween? Honestly, officiating a masquerade wedding while wearing an old Juliet costume!   Is there something just super random you like/enjoy/want/are ogling that has not been and will not be covered by any other questions, because it's just that WEIRD?   If you could make a scent that represents where you live (or have lived), what would be the ingredients? Virginia Cabernet Franc, autumn apples, crisp fall leaves with a hint of dirt   Do you have a deviantart print wishlist or favourites list? Not as such, but I love this and have been drooling over it for ages.   What kind of shoes do you need/want? What size shoes do you wear? Would you mind gently used shoes? I love ballet flats and would like to have more fun and colorful ones. I wear US women's size 7.   Do you like paper dolls (new or vintage) or coloring in books? Not really my thing. Sorry.   Do you like weird scary things as traditionally girly fashion items like heels and handbags? Sure!   If you could get any one thing hand-painted from your witch, what would it be and what would be on it? A BPAL box with a Shakespearean play for a theme.   If you have played before, what are some of the most memorable things you've gotten? What really made you go WOW? If you haven't played, same thing, but not limited to SW. The wonderful boxes that Robin made me last round are well-used and well-loved. One was decorated like the TARDIS and holds earrings, and the other is decorated in Hamlet and holds BPAL bottles. *iz ded ov cutes*

(totally stealing Ralenth's answer.)   Hallowe'en plans? I'll be at the masquerade ball wedding with ow1goddess!   09/04 Girly Index: Middling. Yes, yes, no.   Scented Tarts: I've never tried them.   Lip Balms? Yes, but I am fairly picky. I only use Lush's vegan balms, even though I'm not vegan. Sure. I'm not a big tart warmer/oil burner, but bring it on.   How do you feel about mortars and pestles? Cool, but I don't have one.   Is there anything you have a phobia of, or that would make you go "squick" if you saw it in a package? Nope, can't say there is.   9/6/10 When you go to an etsy wishlist, it will tell you what things are sold. If you click on the sold item, sometimes it will give options that are similar to what was sold, but not identical, would you like the similar item or prefer not to get it at all unless it's the same item? How picky are you? Not! The wishlists are, for the most part, an indicator of taste more than a ZOMG EXACT THING I want.   Do you wear make up? The description?   COMIC BOOKS. Do you read them? Are there any series you like, or some you would like to try? I'm missing volumes VI and X of The Sandman, but in the out of print covers. I have the whole rest of the set and I refuse to buy non-matching covers because I'm OCD like that.   Warm drinks? Tea, coffee, mulled cider or wine, heated milk with honey or vanilla and cinnamon, hot cocoa, Russian tea, jello water (hot, non-solidified jello. Great for sore throats).   9/8/10 Do you have a special symbol or totem that is meaningful to you?   Do you need a box for your bpal bottles? Your imps? Your something else to put in a box stuff? Oh, yes. I adore boxes in general, and my BPAL ones are overflowing.   If you could be any person, being, or animal from Fantasy what or who would you be? Uh . . . Falcor the luck dragon.   If you could go back to any point in time, where, when, why? Too many to name! But, mostly just to experience it, to see what it was really like. I'm a huge history geek; it was part of the double major that I never finished.   Favorite Halloween Candy/Treat? Reese's Peanut Butter Pumpkins!   What are your favorite baked goods/homemade treats? This one is going to be tricky, because I just found out I can't eat wheat. I miss baked goods and will accept any offers.   Would you be interested in an astrology birth chart? Yes! Ask and all relevant details shall be provided!   9/9/10 What movie scared the bejeezus out of you as a child? Watership Down for serious. D:   Name a couple of sites you frequent other than this one. Elitist Jerks, Etsy, Facebook, Twitter, Ravelry, LJ. . .   Do you like the Muppets? Which is your favorite? Yes I do! (if you are not in school, is there anything you are trying to learn?) Nursing!   What animal would your daemon be? Alternately, your patronus.     What's YOUR favorite word?     Steampunk, yay or nay? If yay, what part appeals most? Yea. I like the aesthetic as a whole, and I love thinking up alternate history stuff and making characters in my head. I also rock a wicked corset.   9/10/10 Would you like a bag of dried Honeycrisp apples? Yes. Very yes.   If you were to receive a knitted item (such as a scarf, hat, etc), what colors would you like? And do you have any sensitivies/allergies to any materials? No sensitivities/allergies, but I prefer natural fibers that aren't too scratchy. Green is my favourite and pink my least favourite.   Gift Certificate: physical or email? If it's for a physical store, physical, but if I'm going to be using it online, email's fine.   Favorite Yankee Candles? Or other brands scents? We don't tend to use a Yankee Candles, but I LOVE Scent of Scandal! It won't let me add them to my Amazon superlist, but I'd love anything from the Fruity category (with the exception of 8 Inches and D-Cups) or Rehab from the Floral category.   w\Would you like a zuni animal fetish? And if so, what animal? I am more or less indifferent to most native(ish) to my country religious practices. But as the ones of these I've seen are amazingly pretty and/or cute, I'd be down. I like dogs, and bees seem to be a theme.   How does everyone feel about glow in the dark radishes?     What places to do you visit that you'd like a gift card to? Starbucks, Target, Wal-Mart, B&N, a favorite restaurant or clothing shop? SOCK DREAMS if we're talking about online. If not, B&N, Starbucks, Chipotle, Cold Stone, Sephora Target.   Cake or Frosting? Bot, but if forced to choose and both are homemade and delicious, cake every time.   9/11/10 Cake truffles? If YES! Cake/icing/chocolate type? Sure if you can make them gluten-free! Milk chococolate is my favourite, and I like citrus cake with real buttercream icing.   Are you interested in mini bottles(under 100ml for hand luggage) of bath and body products? Absolutement!   Vampire shows, literature, etc? Yay or nay? Meh. I like the classics, yeah, and I loved The Vampire Diaries when I was a kid. But mostly, I can't be arsed to care. Give me scary, gritty, modern fae fighting for existence in a world that doesn't have enough wonder to sustain them. That's sexy, and also sad and terrifying.   If you play console video games, what game systems do you have and what games would you love to have? We have a PS2 and a Wii, and would love   How do you all feel about flowers and plants? Flower and plant seeds? Drawings of flowers or plants? Pressed flowers? I know a lot about flowers and plants academically speaking, but am terrible at keeping them alive. So seeds and such, probably not so much (though I really want to try one of those Aero things some day). Drawings and pressed/dried, sure!   How do you feel about marzipan? It's great for sculpting but I've never tried eating it.   If you could have 3 BPAL bottles fall (gently) out of the sky right this second that you've been looking for or pining for - which 3 would they be? Glowing Vulva, Spanked, and Mitzvah.   Are there any international treats that you love and have a hard time finding? Real Australian Tim Tams. Also, the German gummy bears that I used to love when I was a kid - the ones made with real juice and stuff that are still the same texture/consistency as regular gummy bears (and if they have gummy worms like that, even better).   Is there anything from the 'Ween BPTP update that you would like but haven't ordered for yourself? The Pomegranates and Lambs Wool. (I haven't ordered any of it, but most of the 'Weenies end up being too foodie for me.)   If you are a crafter, would you like to receive supplies from your witch (beads, fabric, yarn/roving etc?) Sure! I do collage/mixed media and am taking up scrapbooking.   Find your iPod (or other MP3 device), put it on shuffle/random. What are the first five songs to come up? 1) 2) 3) 4) 5)   Soundtracks you'd like?   If you could see one concert right now, who would it be? One of the Dresden Dolls concerts this fall! They're not coming anywhere near me. Like nowhere within 10 hours drive.   9/12/10 Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to go to last.fm immediately and create an account! Download the scrobbler! Link us to your account! If you reject this assignment, maybe just tell us what your mp3 player says you listen to a lot? My last.fm profile is embarrassing, since I never use it and even when it scrobbles, ow1goddess and I share an iPod but not really the same taste in music. It's here, though.   Any countries you're interested in? Mostly the British Isles and Italy. I'm Scottish/English, and I studied Classics in school.   Would you enjoy homemade bath products (bath salts, fizzies, etc.) and/or linen sprays? Esp. if scented with some of your favorite BPAL scents? Sure! Especially in a scent I know I like!   If you witch made you something and it didn't come out just right, would you still want it? Of course. It's the thought that counts.   Are you a foodie? In scents, and philosophy, yes.   Any sports fans in the house? What's your favorite sport/team/player? I love fencing and soccer! I did both at the varsity level in college.   For holidays, do you decorate? Would you like decorative stuff, weenie or otherwise? If so, do you lean towards the elegant, the crafty/folksy, or the more, erm, campy? We would decorate, if in a better neighborhood/house. Mostly, elegant - for Halloween, elegant and spooky-scary. I'm Jewish, so there really isn't much decorating for Hanukkah/Yule around here, but ow1goddess loves the tree, so we have one. It's mythology-themed, so if you find anything that fits, great!   9/13/10 What interests you from the latest lab update? Oh crap, I need to update my wishlist again...done!   How do you feel about stationery, like nice pens or notepaper? And if you're in favor, do you prefer classic/contemporary or cutesy stuff? I am in favor, I love superfine rollerball pens, and I definitely go for classic/contemporary.   Would you like homemade preserves (e.g. marinated vegies, pickled onions, chilli jam)? Absolutely! Bring it on!   If you've got stuff on your BPAL wishlist, would partial bottles be okay? Totally! I adore partials because they're easier to use and store than imps.   Would you like something you have to make yourself? Maybe, depends on what it is.   Say you were my witchee, and I found things on your wishlist that I could totally make. Would you want me to make it? Or would you rather it be purchased for you? Whichever way you prefer to go is fine!   Who is your favorite soap etailer? I mostly buy Paintbox, but I will never say no to Villainess.   What about vintage decoration items, teacups, etc etc? I might like it but I'm not sure how to tell you if I would or not...ask ow1goddess about this.   With regards to your gifts, would you prefer your presents' awesomeness evenly spread out (several packages of pretty terrific things) over the round or a slow build-up of awesomeness (going up from pretty cool things to something super-duper cool at the end) to go out with a bang? Do you have a preference? This is totally up to you, O my witch, however you want to do this is fine!   What kind of make-up do you wear? What colors? Is there anything you'd like to try but haven't yet? I use mostly MAC with some Urban Decay thrown in, and throw on Bare Minerals foundation when I'm feeling lazy. OMG THE VENOMOUS VILLAINS STUFF!!! I usually go for golds, coppers, browns and greens makeup-wise, but I'm trying to branch out without looking like I got punched in the face.   Who would be on your top 5 (IE famous people you’d date/have relations with)? Gillian Andersen David Tennant Alexandra Gilbreath Felicia Day Brian Viglione   Do you crave many Ecards and contact or are you okay with little contact from your Witch? I have no preference at all, so whatever you feel like doing is fine, witch o' mine!   Do you have a place where you list all the BPAL you have or have tried? I used to have ScentBase all updated but it's probably been a year since I updated it.   Do you like maple sugar candy? My grandmother used to bring it back from Canada. It's one of my absolute favourites.   What is your position on the chocolate & bacon flavor combination? Only if it's turkey bacon.   If you are a tea-drinker do you need a tea-cozie for your pot? I just do it by the cup because my kettle died.   Go to your spice cabinet, what are the three most used spices? Italian Seasoning, Cumin, Mrs. Dash (I have three varieties because imo it's the ultimate lazy seasoning ).   Microsoft or Apple? Apple all the way.   Where was your last vacation? What did you like most? We went to the beach in NC...I liked just being at peace, free to do whatever. (Stealing ow1goddess's answer since we went together)   Would you appreciate receiving handwritten letters and/or postcards (anonymous or not)? How about sending them? Absolutely.   Find your iPod (or other MP3 device), put it on shuffle/random. What are the first ten songs to come up? My Alcoholic Friends - The Dresden Dolls Lost In Space - Aimee Mann Cap In Hand - The Proclaimers Hello, Goodbye - The Beatles Deconstruction of Love - The Indigo Girls As Cool As I Am - Dar Williams Delilah - The Dresden Dolls Everything To Everyone - Everclear Breakfast At Tiffany's - Deep Blue Something Grace Kelly - MIKA   9/14     Are you allergic to any food things? Wheat. I get hives everywhere   Do you hate any food things with a passion? Fennel. EUGH.   Would you be opposed to receiving a digital version (via email) of a magazine you like but don't subscribe to...you know, in the interest of saving a tree? I don't think there are e-mail versions of magazines I like. I usually read magazines between classes, though, so I'm not sure I could read them on my iPod.   Would you like a tea cozy? No tea pot.   Darwin? I would not hit that. But I can see why people would!   Is there a TV, movie or literary character that you are a lot alike, or would like to be like? I'm told I'm a lot like the Eleventh Doctor, except "I'm a GIRL!" Extremely geeky, a bit dark, sometimes socially awkward, breathlessly whimsical, and occasionally snarky. Ow1goddess says I'm also a lot like Felix Harrowgate from Sarah Monette's Doctrine of Labyrinths series. This is also very true.   Is there anything you need for your kitchen, i.e. measuring cups, spoons, grater, etc.? I have a weakness for kitchen things, but now probably isn't the very best time...unless it's on one of my wishlists.   Music, DO you prefer Live or Studio? Edited or explicit? Melle Mel's answer is perfect: 'Please do not edit my music. If I had a problem with hearing certain words, I wouldn't listen to songs that contain them. I think editing music is ridiculous and stupid. Music doesn't make people hurt people, bad parenting and not paying attention to what your kids are doing makes that happen. It's just SO much easier to say, "Oh, it was Manson and Slayer [or whatever band] that made them bad!" This applies to video games, too.'   If you would enjoy something of a knitted persuasion, do you have a preference on type of thing? Since making a scarf for someone who has 10 might be a smidge excessive? Also, how do people feel about shawls? I love shawls, but I don't own any. I'd also really love some fingerless gloves (like Knucks) or wrist/armwarmers!   If you are an animal lover, is there a specific type/breed that you love most? House kitteh!   Also flowers and plants- If you like flowers/plants, do you have a favorite(s)? Not that I can think of, but I don't really like roses/peonies.   Do you have a favorite quotation? Song lyric? Book passage? WhateverthehecktheycalltheanonymousregionalwisdomthingiePROVERB! *points to signature*   What is a bpal scent that you've been dying to try for awhile but just can't find (where even a tester would do)? This is never happening, but I would love to sniff Anaconda. Ugh, even Pinched would probably be easier. Maybe Dungeon Crawl? Candy Butcher?

Fall Switch Witch Questionnaire

Livejournal/Blog/Website: my livejournal is thechildoftime, I'm brbgallifrey on twitter, and I'm achildoftime on Facebook. BPAL Favorite BPAL oils: Sugar Skull is my all-time favourite, followed by Glowing Vulva, Love's Philosophy, Geek.Goth, Thirteen (August '10), Crowley, La Befana, Mad Sweeney, Mme. Moriarty, Smut, and Penis Admiration. I have been wearing honey/wine scents like they'll never make another one for some reason lately. I am chewing through Fairy Wine and Mountain of Bone, so anything similar = omgyesplz! Favorite notes: Sugar, Lime, Honey, Red Currant, Black Currant, Wine, Red Musk, Vetiver, Leather, Spices, Dirt, Vanilla, Chocolate (of any kind). Sugar absolutely loves me, and as mentioned, I love fruity/boozy/honey BPAL at the moment, and I still need to try all of the Tiki scents apart from Aremata Popoa! Also, hemp tends to amp up and overpower everything when it hits my skin, so I stay away. Other things to avoid:I JUST found out I'm allergic to wheat (but not gluten-sensitive) two weeks ago. So cookies/brownies are going to be more work than normal. It's extra terrible because I love baking, and now I don't even know where to start. I've looked at a few gluten-free blogs, since anything that's gluten-free is also wheat-free, but...yeah. Tub, shower or both? Both! Favorite bath & beauty products: Paintbox Soap, LUSH shampoo/conditioner/lotion, MAC/Urban Decay makeup, OPI nail polish. Clothing Style/Fave garments: Geek chic! Probably a nice pair of jeans and a classic solid top. Three-quarter sleeved shirts are the best. Lately I've been wearing jean shorts/jeans/cargo capris and nerdy shirts. My ThinkGeek wishlist is long. Vegetarian/Vegan?: (Please be as specific as possible to reduce confusion!) I was a vegetarian but gave it up about six years ago. Other food restrictions: As I mentioned earlier, I just found out I'm allergic to wheat. I don't seem to be super allergic, and I can eat things that say they've been made in the same facility or on shared equipment with wheat without any problem. Favorite foods/drinks: Fish & Chips (crai, the breading--what will I doooo?), any smoothie from Tropical Smoothie Cafe, Starbucks (only the chai and the soy lattes though) and I also really love a good steak (medium rare). Also John Ringo, Robert Jordan, and anything Romance. Blegh. Books/authors you'd like to read, but haven't yet: Mockingjay, by Suzanne Collins. How do you feel about receiving gently used books as gifts? Bring them on! Favorite stores (including clothing stores): For clothes, New York & Company. Otherwise, The Apple Store, Cocoanut Jewelry (local store that sells work by independent artists--my #1 source for kickass jewelry), LUSH, MAC, Sephora (love me some Urban Decay), Crate and Barrel, GameStop, and Teavana. Favorite online stores (including B&B stores): Sock Dreams, ThinkGeek, Paintbox Soapworks, and Villainess. Magazines you subscribe to: Cooking Light Magazines you like, but don't subscribe to: Doctor Who Monthly, Makeup Artist Favorite movies: The Princess Bride, So I Married An Axe Murderer, Galaxy Quest, Lord of the Rings, and Office Space. Wishlists BPAL Wish List (including SW/SF Help): BPAL list http://www.bpal.org/index.php?showtopic=127&st=1950&gopid=1615275entry1615275 here, SW/SF help at my blog! Other website Wish lists (amazon.com, etc): Etsy: http://www.etsy.com/favorite_listings_public.php?user_id=8631957&ref=favorites Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/wishlist/3W03EF9KPQ15Z/ ThinkGeek: http://www.thinkgeek.com/brain/gimme.cgi?wid=81d21f088 LUSH's wishlist functionality is busted.   Random Questions - On a scale of 1-5, how organized are you? I'd say 3. On my own, I'm a 4. But my dear wife is a walking tornado, and I just can't do it for both of us. I hold us together, though. Like I made BPAL boxes for her, and I make sure her bottles are labeled and her imps are in their own box. Apparently I got stuck at 26 (I'm...gulp...30 now).   - Have you ever been skinny dipping? Nope.   - Do you wear pajamas to places other than at your house? If I'm sleeping over somewhere, yes. Otherwise, no.   - Your least favorite feature about yourself: My saddlebag hips and my extra flab. I lost 35 pounds on my own, but I have 40 left to go so I just joined Weight Watchers, and probably only because I can still eat whatever I want, I just have to plan around it.   - Do you live in a neighborhood or in the middle of nowhere? Neighborhood here!   - Do you like to shop? Love it, as long as I'm shopping online or in one of my favourite shops. Otherwise, get in, get what you need, get out, done!   - If you were a shoe, what would you be and why? A fluevog! Probably this one:   - They're making a bio-pic based on your life. Who's portraying you? Gillian Anderson. I was disallowed from making myself look like her in our stage makeup project because it was "too easy".   - Have you ever thought, "oh, I'm going to get myself one of those one of these days" but then never do? List 1 under $10 and 1 over $10. These things are legion! Under $10: Giant Plush TB bacterium! Over $10: Non-LE BPAL. It always seems like there's something that's leaving in a few weeks that I should use my BPAL budget on, and GC/Carnaval Diabolique scents I love always get left for "next time". Also, there's a Kate Spade iPod Touch cover I like but can't ever justify, and the XKCD shirt that says, "Stand Back! I'm going to try SCIENCE!" has been on my "to buy" list for a while, but I still don't have one.   - Sunrise or sunset? Sunset on Pine Ridge at Camp Kittamaqund. Most beautiful thing in the state.   - Has a stranger ever told you that you did something really well? What was it? Yes. Acting, fencing, and knitting!   - Do you like garage sales (boot sales)? Sure, but I never end up there--too early!   - I like to slather my food in: Salt, especially flavoured/seasoned salt.   - State fairs or carnivals? Either sounds like a great time right now!   - Do you like to splash in puddles after it rains? Did the thought make you smile? Yes, if I can do it without getting my clothes wet and grit in my shoes. And I definitely smiled.   Notes (Here's where you can add additional information you'd like your Switch Witch to know!): Ow1goddess is my fabulous, brilliant, and insightful wife, so if you have questions or want an opinion about anything, or want some inside info about what makes me tick, she's the one to ask. Since this is the BPAL board, I might be just the tiniest bit disappointed if I don't get even one sniffie of BPAL.

Shotgun Round Questions

Updated 15 February 2010.   What is everyone's take on Valentine's Day? I do like Valentine's Day. It's way overcommercialized, but I do love sending valentines and baking for Molly.   Do you like traditional Valentine's Day colors (red, pink, white, more?)? Pink is my least favourite colour objectively, but if done well it can be very attractive. Pink with black, and pink with brown are both are classic. I do love red and white is fine.   What's everyone's favorite semi-obscure animal? Platypus!   What is your favorite sign that spring is coming? Crocuses and daffodils poking their heads up.   Favorite love poem? Sonnet CXVI Let me not to the marriage of true minds Admit impediments. Love is not love Which alters when it alteration finds, Or bends with the remover to remove: O no! it is an ever-fixed mark That looks on tempests and is never shaken; It is the star to every wandering bark, Whose Worth's unknown, although his height be taken. Love's not Time's fool, though rosy lips and cheeks Within his bending sickle's compass come; Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks, But bears it out even to the edge of doom: If this be error and upon me proved, I never writ, nor no man ever loved. -William Shakespeare   For those of you with pets, would you like pet things? Toys, treats, etc? Sure--Spot cat loves tender treats but won't eat the crunchy ones.   Favorite Love Story: Beatrice and Benedick in Much Ado About Nothing!   Would anyone like receiving naughty/sexy things? Sure, just keep in mind I'm married to a woman!   Who on the thread likes attending Ren Faires, SciFi/Comic Cons & the like? And do you dress up for them? I love going to Ren faires and all kinds of cons, though I haven't been able to afford any cons recently. I especially love to dress up for them!   Do you need any accessories for your phone, computer, mp3 player, etc.? I lost my Skull Candy earbuds and I loved them so. They were black and green and made of awesome.   Gently Used CDs/DVDs? Bring it on!   What are the songs on the "Top 25 Most Played" list on your ipod? This probably tells you more than I want you to know about me! Backstabber - Dresden Dolls Girl Anachronism - Dresden Dolls Time Is Running Out - Muse My Alcoholic Friends - Dresden Dolls Runs In the Family - Amanda Palmer Closer - Nine Inch Nails I'm On My Way - The Proclaimers I'll Be That Girl - Barenaked Ladies Hard Like Heroic - Nymh (WoW-themed parody of Bad Touch by Bloodhound Gang-- .) Perfect (Exceeder) - Mason & Princess Superstar In The Car - Barenaked Ladies Coin-Operated Boy - Dresden Dolls Shoebox - Barenaked Ladies Grace Kelly - Mika Dairy Queen - Indigo Girls White & Nerdy - Weird Al Yankovic The Old Apartment - Barenaked Ladies Delilah - Dresden Dolls Bitches Ain't Shit - Ben Folds Oasis - Amanda Palmer Chariots Of Fire - BWO Creep - Radiohead Are You Out There - Dar Williams Ampersand - Amanda Palmer Rockin' the Suburbs - Ben Folds   If your witch was international, would you be interested in receiving gifts that were representative of her country or culture? Absolutely! Would totally love it, especially if I got a UK witch. I miss living there!   WoW player? Pandaren Monk and Lil' KT pets? I do play WoW, and I'd love to get them!   What's your favourite candy? Outside of a chocolatier's, mine is definitely Jelly Babies (especially the black ones), but I also love Reese's Cups and peppermint patties. Inside of a chocolatier's it's lime or whiskey truffle!   This, definitely!   Also, I missed some questions. Here's a quick catch-up.   Hand knit stuff? Yes, yes, yes, please! I knit, but I never manage to actually finish knitting anything for myself! I'll be thrilled with anything, and I will actually use it, I promise!   Homemade Sewn Stuff? Any fabrics to avoid? Oh, I used to be decent at sewing, but now I don't even have a machine. Bring on the sewn stuff--I absolutely love handmade things! I don't have any fabrics that I particularly dislike, the only caveat is that I'm allergic to laundry detergent that's not free/clear. No big deal if you use the regular stuff, let me know and I can just wash it when I get it!   Think Geek plush microbes? I love ThinkGeek, I'm drinking coffee out of my caffeine thermos right now, actually. The little plushy microbes are so cute! I'm not sure what I'd do with them, but I'm sure I'd think of something if you sent me one.   Kitchen gadgetry Oh, I'd love a microplane/micrograter for zesting citrus, grinding nutmeg, shredding parm, et cetera! I love kitchen stuff, I'm a huge Alton Brown fan. I lust after his cookbooks. (Also, kitchen confession: I don't own a food processor. )   Mardi Gras - We tend to not celebrate it due to an unfortunate event that happened to coincide with the holiday. But I love the colours!   Would you like new nail polish? If so, what colors are you craving? I've been wanting to add to my red nail polish stash lately, so I'm eyeing the two new reds from the new OPI collection (Thanks So Muchness, and Off With Her Red). Like LitaPhoenix, I'm super pale and love to wear striking colours. My red nail polish is nearly a collection of its own. I also love green (especially spring green), blue, purple, black, and grey/silver. I could really use some sort of anti-chipping stuff, since my nails are genetically super-flexible.   Do you like incense and/or scented candles, and are you able to burn them in your home? I love scented candles, and tend to prefer sweet/fruity scents. I love A Scent of Scandal. Yankee Candles tend to not be my favourite.   Boxes? For Bpal (bottles and/or imps) or otherwise. Yay, boxes! I need a better bottle box, and I desperately need an imp box. They're everywhere!!! Seriously.   Do you like alcoholic beverages? If so, what is your preference (beer, wine, liquor...)? I like all three kinds of alcohol. My favourites are white wine, microbrews, Granny Smith Apple Woodchuck, flavored vodka, and good whiskey. Okay, I was going to say yes, but now I'm terrified.   Paintbox Soaps? Yes, definitely! I have a bunch in my Etsy faves.   Would you like some of my favourite recipes? Yes, of course! I love to cook!   Posters, pictures, art? Yes again here! Especially RSC posters!   Salted caramels? A thousand times YES!!!   Imagine that someone hands you their wallet and sends you into a really good bakery. They have everything, from breads to brownies, cookies to croissants, anything you could imagine, and you're allowed to pick out five things for yourself. What do you pick? -Blueberry scone -Pan au chocolat (like the little patisserie at the end of my street in London had every morning) -A loaf of fresh, warm sourdough bread -A challah -Apricot tart I agree wholeheartedly! Steampunk and Sock Dreams are both awesome. My Swapper Help link in my sig has my Sock Dreams wishlist in it, if you want suggestions!  Coffee, Tea, or Hot Cocoa? Coffee or Tea would be lovely! I'm not a big cocoa drinker, though. If it's coffee, I like the good stuff, but other than that I'm not too picky. I love to try different blends and flavors. Tea is my biggest weakness, though, and my favourite kind is Earl Grey. I love trying new kinds of tea, the crazier the more fun! The last kind I tried was a blend of Jasmine Dragon Pearl and Rooibos Tropica (my first venture into a mall that had a Teavana, ). The only caveat is that chamomile gives me a headache.   Energetically-charged item or gift? Sure! Can't hurt, might help! ow1goddess and I are both looking for jobs.   Do you have any significant upcoming events in your life you'd like something for? Nope! We just moved end of last year, and probably will again end of this year, but for now, it's smooth sailing.   Burlesque? Yes! I love burlesque!   Earrings? I'm an earring addict, so absolutely!   Baked Goods? I love homemade food, and I love to bake, so I will love, appreciate, and NOM anything you send me that does not contain pork or seafood (not that I think you'd really put seafood in the mail, but I had to include that for completeness' sake).   Would you like a mix cd from your witch? Sure, bring it on!   Boxes? For Bpal (bottles and/or imps) or otherwise Oh, yes! My bottles have been stored in a card box for a long time, but they've outgrown it, and my imps/decants are exploding.   Are you interested in bacon chocolate? Only if you can find turkey bacon or veggie bacon chocolate! Jewish = no (pork) bacon chocolate for me. Maybe I can make my own...   Your Witch is perusing the wares at a local yard sale. S/he looks down and sees [insert impossibly rare item that you've always wanted but could never afford] with a $5-10 sticker on it. Sheepishly s/he takes it to the guy behind the folding table. "Do you know what this is?" s/he inquires. The gentleman states that it belonged to his mother/sister/grandmother/Great Aunt Beulah and he thinks it's for, like, hair or something. With a trembling hand, s/hes pays the man and heads home with the inconceivable riches.   My unobtainium is a gorgeous, unusual place to hang earrings. Digging through my bucket o' earrings can be vexing, and they always have handmade ones at one of the stores I love (Cocoanut Jewelry), but they're always like $100. :| Or one of those fancy cooking thermometers Alton Brown has. Or maybe just a solid, cast-iron Dutch Oven. Or, if we're going the BPAL route, it's a pretty box full of paper, but underneath is a bottle of Mitzvah, Spanked, De Sade, or any bottle off of my wishlist, really.   Price List? Meh. If that's something you really want to do, do it! If it's not, that's fine with me, too.   Keys? I love keys. If I had enough of them I would decorate with them. As it is, I have plenty of places that would be improved by an old-fashioned key on a ribbon.   Frankenpolish? Absolutely! I love that blog, and I'm up for anything!   Do you like guessing who your witch is, or would you prefer to know? Do you mind knowing? I like not knowing, but I don't mind knowing, either...then the mystery is about the box instead of the person, so I still get my mystery fix. I'd prefer to know who it is eventually after the round is over so I can them, though I'll survive if I don't find out. I'll just be forced to thank them profusely in the threads.   If it's going to be obvious who your witch is, would you rather she played the ninja and sent one big box at the end, or smaller packages along the way? I honestly don't care, as long as I have a witch and am not forgotten. Ninja-witching is fun, wondering when they'll strike, what they'll do, how long they'll wait. But it's fun to get surprises along the way, and e-cards and such, too.     Muaahahahahahaha! Ow1goddess and I also sleep naked--it's the best! If I were going to sleep in a nightie, though, I'd go for black, red, or green.   As for the Alice In Wonderland polishes, I can't speak for my witchee, but I would LOVE them!   Favorite flowers? I'm not a huge flower person, but I do love tulips, orchids, and lily of the valley.   Are you opposed to vegan baked goods? Or baked goods in general? I'm not opposed to anything baked, vegan or otherwise, unless it contains pork.   For those that have dogs, if I were to knit them a sweater, what colour would you like it to be? No dog, and my cat would loathe it if I tried to sweater him.   hair stuff? My hair is long and fine, and I just don't have a bunch of it, so a smaller clip would be fun. Also, I've been meaning to try LUSH's Goth Juice for curling my hair.   Eye color: Hazel   Lip balm: Yay or nay? If yay, what are your favorite kinds (brands, consistency, whatever)? None of Your Beeswax!   Home-canned goods? As long as they're tasty!   Is there anything you've had to give up that you really miss or want back? Buying Thirteens and lunacies. I used to buy them all the time, every month unless it sounded like something that wouldn't work for me. But, since my health went downhill and I can't work in most jobs , I just don't have the funds anymore. I got lucky and wasn't super excited about the last few lunacies of 2009, and I've picked up decants where I could. Not being able to order the November 13 was hard, since I liked the notes in it, and not being able to order Candles Moon is killing me. It sounds SO good! Hmm, that answer sort of got away from me there. Sorry.   What animal would be your Patronus? I'd love to say something like a jaguar, but it would probably look just like my cat Spot. He's gotten me through the toughest part of my life, and is the most special creature I've ever had the good fortune to live with. (And he's curled up on the leopard-print chaise next to me, sleeping with his tail keeping his little nose warm. D'awwww.) This is exactly how I would feel about getting another decant of any of my Valentine wishes. Especially since most of them are not full decants, and they're of scents that I'm not likely to ever see any more of ever again.  Do you have any personal heroes/heroines? Why? David Tennant. He is a brilliant, talented, resilient, and amazing actor. And why? Because he watched Doctor Who as a kid, and wanted to do that. And he really did! This skinny, geeky, Scottish bloke is suddenly a heartthrob? Geek really is the new hot. I was an actor for the exact same reason, and even though I'm not skinny, or acting now, he's still this geeky Scottish chick's hero.   Are there any languages or countries that you're really interested in? I studied abroad in London in college, and I still miss living there. I miss it hugely. I loved visiting Edinburgh as well. But I love languages, and I wish I could learn them all! I'm still conversant in ASL, though I used to be fluent, and I've studied Latin, Greek, and Russian. I really do want to catch up on my signing again, though (so no time to learn French and Italian and...yeah).   If you could be in any fictional universe, what would it be? (Harry Potter, Firefly, Lord of the Rings, Silent Hill, wtv.) My desire to be in a fictional universe is very conditional. Doctor Who IF I can meet The Doctor (and therefore have a shot at being a companion). Harry Potter IF I'm a wizard.   Gardening? Nah, I would only want an outdoor, in-the-dirt, backyard sort of garden, and we just don't have that.   Are there any soundtracks you'd be interested in getting a copy of? Not that I can think of.   The Top Five on my "list": Gillian Anderson (Hottest. Woman. Ever.)
Amanda Palmer (Phwoar!)
David Tennant (Best Romeo I ever saw--2001 was a very good year)
The Doctor (Geeks are sexy, what can I say!)
Severus Snape (As is)
River (Firefly)
I love to decoupage/collage boxes and notebooks. If you were my witchee, would you like one? What colors/themes would you want it to have? Absolutely! I like brown/burgundy/red/green, and I'm a huge sucker for Shakespeare and...well, Doctor Who.   One "unselfish" personal wish? That Ow1goddess gets this job! It'd be a huge lift to her morale, she's been feeling useless and unwanted, and looking for a job full-time since November. Everything that I think of that's still personal is at least a little bit selfish, like that my father would realize that even though he doesn't feel terrible, Diabetes is doing damage to his body as long as he continues to drink regular coke, eat fruit pies, donuts, and everything else he feels like.   A few of your favourite things: In completely random order: Tea, Shakespeare, Food Network, Doctor Who, cats (especially my Spot kitty), cuddling up with Ow1goddess, books, salted caramel or salted chocolate, soup, spending an evening with friends, knitted socks, and of course: BPAL.   Tea: Loose or bags? Either. I have infusers for the loose kind which is so much fun to watch steep, and the bagged kind is portable.   Are you following the Olympics? What's your favorite sport to watch? Would you be interested in merch? I always end up following the Olympics whether I set out to or not. Well, my favourite Olympic sport is fencing, but apparently there's no fencing in winter. So I just watch whatever's on, the more active the better. Not sure what I'd do with merch, but if you find something good, why not?   When are you mailing your reveal? Probably around the 20th, but it will be later if I end up having to use Priority Mail.

Least favorite non-BPAL perfumes: Pretty much all of them? I've never really tried other oil-based scents, and I'm wide open to those, but I hate the alcohol-based spray perfumes. Allergies (specifically B&B related): I'm super sorry, but please don't get me cheap lotion, no matter how fun the packaging and smell, I'm usually allergic to it. This includes Jergens Sensitive Skin lotion which says on the damn package that it is hypoallergenic. I found that out the hard way. Stuff from places that are careful with their ingredients, like Lush, the Lab and Trading Post, and Villainess is fine. Other things to avoid: Cheap makeup/B&B products make my skin flip out. MAC is fine, and most homemade stuff is fine, and like I said basically anyplace that cares about what goes into the stuff is going to be okay. Tub, shower or both? I'm thrilled to be able to say both now! We moved the day before Halloween to a place with a tub that works after years of not being able to take a damn bath. My wrists are super small, too. The measuring tape says 6.5 inches. I don't really like necklaces with a chain shorter than 16", but that size or longer is fine. Gold or silver jewelry? Silver/white gold Do you have any allergies to metal? Not that I know of. Favorite gemstones: green garnet, emerald, garnet, Pierced ears, stretched ears, neither? Favorite flavors: Lime, any citrus, any kind of berry (including acai), pomegranate, pineapple, milk chocolate, Favorite foods/drinks: Soup in general, but if I had to pick a favourite it's probably french onion. I also really love a good steak (medium rare), and pretty much anything without sausage from California Pizza Kitchen (they also have great soup, haha). Favorite authors/genres: Fantasy--think Terry Pratchett, Neil Gaiman, Steven Brust, David Coe, and of course Tolkein. Least favorite authors/genres: Christopher Stasheff. I totally caught him recycling pages of text and trying to pass them off as descriptions of new creatures/places/people. Also John Ringo, Robert Jordan, and anything romance. Blegh. ThinkGeek Wish List Amazon.com Wish List   Random Questions:   - On a scale of 1-5, how organized are you? 3   - Where, outside of the U.S. would you love to visit? (if you're international, this can be anywhere) London, Edinburgh, Rome, Athens, Pompeii, Vancouver, Brazil, Sydney, Japan.   - Do people tell you that you act older, younger, or your age? I've heard all of the above! When I was younger, I was always told I acted older. When I do sports, people think I'm younger. But I'm 29 now and I think I grew into myself.   - Have you ever been skinny dipping? I hate to admit it, but no, I haven't.   - Do you wear pajamas to places other than at your house? Absolutely not unless I'm at a friend/family member's house and spending the night.   - Your least favorite feature about yourself: My saddlebag hips.   - Do you live in a neighborhood or in the middle of nowhere? In a neighborhood.   - Do you like to shop? Yes, but not for clothes!   - If you were a shoe, what would you be and why? I would be this Fluevog. Not what people expect to see, but fun and interesting when you can past the difference. And it comes in green/brown too!     - If you were on death row, what would you request for your last meal? Pretty much anything as long as it's cooked by Mario Batali! He is a culinary rock star.   - They're making a bio-pic based on your life. Who's portraying you? Gillian Anderson. Rawr!   - If Beth made a custom blend for you, what would the notes be, and what would you want the label art to look like? Sugar, red musk, either red or black currant, leather, and housecat fur (I love to bury my nose in my cat's fur and just smell him--happiest smell in the world).   - Sunrise or sunset? Sunset. The colours are more appealing to me, and I am not a morning person.   - Has a stranger ever told you that you did something really well? What was it? Yes. Acting, fixing computers, and fencing.   - Do you like garage sales (boot sales)? Yes, but I never seem to go to them.   - Something that you never buy for yourself, but you’d love to have: Flavored coffee, drinks from Starbucks, and stuff from ThinkGeek. Also there's a shirt on Jinx.com that says "Damn it Jim, I'm a cleric not a warrior" that I want but can't ever make myself spend the money on it.   - I like to slather my food in: Interesting salt (currently Himalayan-mined pink salt) and Mrs. Dash. Also Grains of Paradise, but I ran out and no place here seems to have them.   - State fairs or carnivals? Fairs. Not necessarily the state fair, I like county fairs too!   - Do you like to splash in puddles after it rains? Did the thought make you smile? I don't splash in puddles after it rains because I don't like my clothes getting wet and grit in my Birks, but the thought definitely made me grin.   Notes (Here's where you can add additional information you'd like your Switch Witch to know!): Ow1goddess is my lovely wife, so if you have questions or want an opinion about anything, or want some inside info about what makes me tick, she's the one to ask.
