Just Imp Case

So I've been giving thought to the whole imp case thing. I'm not real big on the ones from the lab or their price. I could get a condom case (same dimensions) http://www.kyledesigns.com/product/CN/Cool...ed-Designs.html   Or I could by a mint case, with dimensions of 2 1/4" x 1 3/4" x 1/2" which is actually a closer fit. Most likely the least expensive option as well. Good places to look being etsy and ebay. However, many have curved edges which may or may not work out okay for holding imps. There are also aspirin tins which are 2 1/4" x 1 3/4" x 1/3" but the designs are typically less attractive.   My favorite option is my own design but I don't know where to find the materials. I would need a small circular tin with a height of about 1 3/4." I haven't decided on the diameter but there would be a metal circle like a cookie cutter on the inside. The difference in diameter between the tin and the inner circle would be just over 1/4" - just over imp width. The imps would go in a circular pattern with their labels behind the next few imps. This eliminates the wasted space caused by the labels in the tin, or the last imp's label at any rate. If the tin height was partially the cap, then once the cap was removed the height of the imps would then exceed the tin making them easy to pull out. Additionally you should be able to pull each one up enough to read the label with out removing it completely. I was also thinking that inside the inner circle there could be a design of some sort.   So ya, that's what I was thinking of as I fell asleep last night.

I want to buy or try

Updated 5/19/2010   So far I know I want a bottle (or more) of Snake Oil, a partial or bottle of Josie, a partial or imp of Sol Invictus. And so many things I still have to try!   Want to TRY: -Inez "Golden amber, vanilla musk, myrrh, cedar, carnation, and red sandalwood."   -Bordello "Bawdy plum with amaretto, burgundy wine and black currant."   -Bakeneko "Warm amber musk, Satsuma tangerine, black tea leaf, cardamom, cherry blossom and cinnamon."   -Vechernyaya "Three white musks with poppy and patchouli."   -Event Horizon "A disconcerting scent, heavy and oppressive, through which no light, no matter, and no spirit can escape. Black opium, labdanum, opoponax, black orchid, and benzoin."   -Shattered, Bewitching Brews A blend of white champagne notes, grapefruit, lotus, slivered mint and crystalline aquatic blooms   - Thalia, Excolo Plumeria, pear and white champagne.   - How Doth the Little Crocodile?, Moral Hymnody and Nonsense Chocolate peppermint, mint-soaked vanilla, pistachio, oakmoss, and green cedar. - out of pure curiosity   -Sacred Whore of Babylon "A sweet floral over vanilla and cinnamon."   -Hunger Ars Amatoria Black narcissus, orange blossoms, and vanilla.   -Ozymandias - often compared with Chanel No. 5 (not that I like Chanel No. 5)   -Rapture? My Own Personal Skin Chem

I seem to have the oddest one of a kind reactions. If I have a scent twin out there I don't think they've discovered BPAL yet. I am seriously tempted to apply scents to my fingers from now on, the reactions seem better on average to the drops that spill there.

They're on the Way

So I have a bottle of Snake Oil on the way, Amazon says it was shipped already! I just ordered a bottle each of Kali and Josie. Still lots of imps to try from my ebay purchases too!

Limited Edition Replacements

I happened upon a post called "A Short Guide to Common Recommendations, with direct links." According to the comparison list I should try Black forest. Which is useful since I couldn't find the notes listed for Wolf Moon. I haven't gotten very far with notes yet. I like sandal wood, I'm not big on cedar but cedar's scent gets big on me. I like Queen Mab a lot, although the SO said it smells "erotic" so I guess I'll have to use with caution, lol. I seem to like golden amber (given the list below). Someday I will find an apricot to rival Sally Hansen's cuticle softener. Unfortunately it was not March Hare, which I found to be pleasant yet very "eh."   ?Black Forrest: viscous pine with ambergris, black musk, juniper and cypress (many mention the pine is too strong on them, hmmm)   Queen Mab: black orchid, sandalwood, night-blooming jasmine, osmanthus, Somalian rose, and Chinese musk.   Josie: honey and peaches, the magnolia   Sol Invictus: golden amber, saffron, heliotrope, hibiscus, citron, frangipani, frankincense, tangerine, mock orange, and orange blossom   Hermia: Pink pepper, golden amber, honeysuckle, and passion flower.

Wolf Moon '07

Trying out my new bottle of wolf moon, I tried some recently at a Mett 'N Sniff. Seems spicier on me than I remember, might need to dry more I'm just starting to pick out the sandalwood.   Mmmm sweet sandalwood, it's turning a little bit smoky but just in the background, ya its getting there now.   Then: Slightly sweet, spicy wood and a bit smoky. Actually it's smokier than I remember, I'll have to try it again later in the month. By evening it was almost completely sweet.   Different day, Same Week: put it on again and it went funky on me, ended up smelling like sweat, I mean really bad b.o.

DB

Me and Dragon's Blood do not like each other. I seem to be allergic, as in nasal allergies, luckily no skin reaction. It smells sharp and strong to me, it eventually comes out even if it was a back note and becomes strong. Although my skin likes to pull out a lot of notes one at a time (apparently), humph.
