Switch Witch 'Weenie round '11 extra info and questions

Dear Witch, I just remembered some very important information. I have no idea how accurate the previous/old SW answers in this blog may be so if you feel the desire to go back through old SW questions and answers for inspiration, the answer to any given question may or may not be the same now. So it might not hurt to ask me (or the whole thread if you're feeling so inclined) over again.   You see? I knew this would happen. I just submitted my questionnaire last night and I already thought of something else I need to add. I love pinup art! I had a calendar of pinups and I have a bunch of accessories with pinup style art on them (cigarette case that I use as a wallet, things like that). There’s just something about that style of art, it kind of entrances me…   And I should have put this under my favorite animal question but phoenixes are really special to me. They have a very special significance to me. I’m getting a tattoo of one. So yeah, another piece of information about me to use in your witchy endeavors.   I mentioned Re-Ments in my questionnaire. The little miniature food models that their only purpose is to be miniature food and be adorable. Well I figured I should give some example. So here are some links to some examples of re-ments. There are also some good examples on my Amazon wishlist.   I have discovered this site which has rosemary laundry soap and fabric softener. Rosemary scented laundry soap! How amazing is that?! (I absolutely LOVE rosemary. The way it smells, the way it tastes, everything.) They have other scents and other products too, but that's the one I'm really going gaga over. And the orange clove hand soap.... Looks pretty fantastical.   I am always ISO decanting supplies. Imp sized vials, pipettes, *unused* wand caps (I know that's not really a decanting supply but I never have enough of them).   Dear witch, I think I forgot to say anywhere I talked about piercings that I really don't like stud earrings. Straight barbells are fine. I like those. But the kind that are studs with a slip on back that gathers gunk inside of it, I really, really don't like.   Extra Questions:   Who here likes Stephanie Pui-Min Law's artwork? I do, but the only exposure I've really had to it is sending ecards of it though.   Do you drink wine? On occasion. When I do though, I usually really like it, so yeah.   Who's interested in Halloween: Montreal? I would definitely like to try it.   Witchee, would you like anything from this particular Haunt update? I always try to forget that Haunt exists because every time I look at Haunt stuff I'm drooling over everything but it always seems like it's so hard to get or always sold out everywhere so what's the point in trying?   Hershey's Pumpkin Spice kisses? What? .....What? What?! How do these exist and I do not know... I need me a bag of these ASAP.   Like commercial socks? Yeeeeessssss! I keep filling up my Sockdreams cart but not ordering. I really need new solid black and solid white thigh high stockings. And I need some stockings to go with my new garter belt. I'm thinking black with a white ruffle/bow at the top and/or vice versa. And the cute neopolitan stripes socks and the clouds socks that sockdreams has. oooooh!   Would you be interested in getting fountain pen inks or art supplies via JetPens and or DickBlick? i have just discovered the love that is Jetpens.... I kind of love pens more than really makes any logical sense... I don't do art, so art type pens aren't really of any use to my but regular writey type pens are awesome. (I can provide specifics if you'd like to know more about my pen preferences)   If your witch was the practical type and wanted to include one or more of your everyday essentials, what would those include? I'm talking about the bath products, lotions, face lotions, teas, food, etc that you really use every day. Hmmm, Aveeno daily moisturizing lotion (seriously I go through the big pump bottles of this stuff sooo fast), Complexion Zen soap from Bunny Butt, Herbalism cleanser, Grease Lightning cleanser, Tea Tree Toner Water all from LUSH   I put up quotes I love in my office and studio to get me going, They range from goofy to sarcastic to inspirational... Are you interested in a hand painted quote? Do you have one in mind, or a topic in mind? I would love a hand painted quote! I actually have a notebook just for quotes that I really like or that particularly resonate with me.   reusable bags? Sure! reusable bags are always useful.   What kind of purse do you prefer? Leather, cloth? over the shoulder or crossbody, or something that can do either? Do you like bold bright prints with fun things, or monochrome, solid colours? I switch up my purse preferences all the time. I'll go from teeny just a step up from writslet-clutch type purse to a messenger bag to a shoulder bag. I don't usually switch very often though. I'll usually use one bag for at least a few months or so. Right now I'm using this bag. Exactly that color and pattern. It's a cross-body messenger bag, though sometimes I just sling it over one shoulder if I don't feel like putting it over my head. I fell in love with that saying that was on their other bags and stuff but I liked the "lightweight messenger bag" better so I made a special request for that combination. I was the first one that had that particular combination of bag and pattern and after mine the shop just continued stocking them. I think that's kinda cool. I like being able to carry everything I might conceivably need: my wallet, notebook, water bottle, pens (my bag has a special place for pens and pencils you can see on the etsy listing), a book or two, all my various medications and crap, lotion, 10 billion lip balms....   But sometimes I like a teeny purse that just holds essentials that I can just sling over one shoulder or carry on my elbow. I would kind of like a bad that's in between the two sizes... Also I would like to try a leather bag. Dunno why exactly but the idea is appealing to me.   Reveal? I am planning to reveal and I do hope my witch reveals to me. I know I haven't been as present in this round as I usually am. I am very sorry my witch and witchee! It's not that I don't love you both, I do! I am just busy with not-SW things   Do Paintbox Soapworks' Goat's Milk Hand and Body Creams sound like something you'd like to try? ooooh! Yes please! As it gets colder and the air gets drier I am going to need some serious moisturizer. If there's one in Lavender Truffle then I would love one 'o those... I'm pretty sure that's my favorite GC scent from Paintbox second only to The Black Heart. The Indian Summer and Gingermilk ones sound pretty good.   Would you be interested in the #occupywallstreet scent? Uuummmmm I may have just made an order tonight that included 2 bottles... *cough* *cough* It sounds like it's right up my alley.   If you're interested in a handmade pouch/cover for an item you have (phones, tablets, books, keys, kettles...), what would your ideal pouch/cover have? Design, material, additional functionality/features like pockets or lights or secret hidey-holes? Okay, seriously, I can NEVER have enough pouches, boxes, bags, things that hold other things, etc. I will always love stuff like that. And handmade by my loving Witch or Minion? Even better!!! I could use a case/cover for my phone (HTC incredible 2). My phone already has a soft case on it so idk if that would interfere with it sliding into another slip on cover thing? I would like something that I can pop it into when I need to throw it into my purse because the outfit I'm wearing doesn't have pockets but I don't want it knocking around in there loose with my keys and my water bottle and other things that could potentially scratch/damage it. So something that will protect it and is soft and easy to put on and off that covers it completely that it won't slide out of while it's banging around in my hyooooge messenger bag. I could also possibly use an ipod cover but that's a whole other story   Do you like tarts? tealights? jar candles? votives? i don't have a tart burner. I do use tealights in my oil burner so matching up a scented tea light with the scented oil might be fun. (or I could just burn them on their own). I think though, if I was to pick out a scented candle it would be a jar candle. I do have my eye on some Yankee Candles. Also there are some scented candles on my etsy wishlist I believe.   Colors! What are your favorite colors and what colors do you not like? Pictures and links, people! I usually say black or purple (darker/more blue toned purple usually) for my favorite color(s). I also like blue, green, some pinks. As for color combinatons I really like brown and pink like this (I also really like dots as a pattern so that works out nicely ), white and black, pink/hot pink and black, pretty much anything and black really...   what's your favorite kind of pizza? Usually I just eat plain cheese. (I know I'm boring.) But I do love me a good veggie once in a while or if I'm a a place that's known for pizza or has like, gourmet toppings or something, I'll branch out. I will almost never turn down the opportunity to try something new. Like if someone says "hey, try this slice of pizza that has all these tasty things." I'll be like "Okay!" *bite* yeah... now I'm hungry.   Fingerless Gloves/arm warmers Do want. I just answered the question on favorite colors/color combinatinations above so refer to there. As for materials, ummm anything will do I suppose. If it's supposed to be a cold weather thing then some type of toasty warm fabric/yarn stuff. If it's just decorative then thinner material. yeah, that was no help, just use your judgement.   I just noticed that Cocoa Pink has 5 ml Perfume Atomizers. Yay or nay? Scents you would like? Scents you would NOT like? I will have to go take a look at these. I think by now you have an idea of the things and scents I like... Go wild!   Would you be interested in getting a gently used BPAL tshirt from your Witch? YES! You can look at the bottom of my BPAL wishlist to see some of the clothing I'm interested in but that's my no means an exhaustive list. If you have something in mind feel free to ask me or just go with the flow if you'd think I'd like it. I wear a size small in regular crew neck tees and hmmm I haven't picked out a babydoll in a while but I'd guess a medium. Maybe a large? Either would probably work so if you have one or the other on hand.   What is your favorite coffee blend at Starbucks? If you don't have one, what is your favorite roast of coffee? I don't really like the just coffee-coffee at starbucks. I totally love their frou-frou drinks packed full of sugar and syrup! But just regular brewed coffee there, not so much. I like dunkin donuts brewed coffee. I usually just drink their regular, no flavors coffee but I do like DD french vanilla and hazelnut. And I really like Target's food brand, Archer Farms. They have some really nice flavors. My current favorite of theirs is Cinnamon Vanilla Nut. (I was seriously disappointed by the Pumpkin Pie Spice. Really not so good. And their french vanilla was not terribly inspiring either.) I am always looking to expand my horizons in the field of coffee so if you have a roast/flavor/brand you particularly like then please, by all means, send it along to me! And also, this doesn't exactly have to do with this question but it's kinda related. For the longest time I've been wanting a french press. And maybe some grinds to go with it (I believe you need a coarser grind of coffee for a french press than in a drip brewer.)   Grr the a key on my keyboard is sticking... totally random I know. I really want to start rock climbing again! I used to climb when I was a teenager and I knew all the knots and knew how to belay and everything... And I was actually a pretty good climber. Not super amazing but okay, and more importantly it was fun! But that was a good couple years ago and I've forgotten everything. I keep meaning to go back to the climbing gym I used to go to (Earth Treks in Columbia, MD in case my witch is somewhat local) and take a class or something because I don't have any gear of my own and I don't have a partner to go with who knows more than me and could teach me (I don't have a partner to go with me period.).   Are there any Arcana Weenies that you MUST HAVE? All the perfume oils sound really great! Especially Caffeinated Death and Reign in Hell and Serve in Heaven and Edict of Worms, and, and....   If you had an international witch, is there anything you would like from the UK? (Or Australia, Belgium, France any other country we have witches from. Tim Tams! And other assorted tasty chocolates and yummies that aren't available in the US (or aren't available easily in the US) I love trying new things and trying things that aren't available in the US or I wouldn't be able to get usually is awesome!   What strange misc. items would you love to receive that you just haven't gotten for yourself?: Hmm, I will have to think on that one. I currently have an order mocked up for myself from this etsy shop. Including the Working Stiff balm (I think it will help my knees. My knees have been crap since the car accident I was in a few months ago), some rose balm (also comes in smaller size) a lip serum, a few solid lotion sticks, bug repellant stick, and a lip balm (or maybe this one, or this one. Oooh! Or this one! Oh, you know how I am about lip balms by now, I can't choose just one! I'm just as likely to buy them all! )   ***...I thought of something else! I don't know if this is really something that someone else can pick out, but I've been wanting to try some dry shampoo. You know, the kind that's like powder or spray you put in your hair and brush it through to make your hair look less oily and disgusting if you haven't had a chance to wash it or something.   How do you feel about franken polish? Are you okay with all chemicals, or would you prefer 3 free? Would you want glitter or holographic glitter? What colors would interest you? Franken-polish? I don't know what that is... But I am totally okay with glitter in nail polish and my taste in colors in general pretty much carries over into my taste in colors in nail polish.   How do you feel about getting art supplies in general? I actually love art supplies even though I am crap at art. Especially I love sketchbooks and erasers.   How do you feel about Threadless tshirts? I feel great about Threadless tees. If you find one you think I'd like, then go for it!   How do you feel about lip balm? Favorite style (twist up tube, pot, tube with wand, etc.)? Favorite flavors? Flavors to avoid? Favorite brand? Do you need more right now or are you set? Are you one of those people who could never have enough lip balm even though you have a bowl on your dresser overflowing with them and 10 in your purse and an order for more on the way? I said this in-thread and probably multiple other places but I love lip balms! Seriously, I can never have enough.   I try to find lip balms with all natural ingredients (no parabens, no petroleum products). I prefer twist-up tubes or tubes with a wand instead of pots or tins you stick your finger in but if a pot/tin is all that's available in a flavor you want to get for me then that's fine.   Brands I like:I absolutely adore EOS Vanilla lip balm but I can NEVER find it in any drugstores around me.   As I mentioned in-thread, I like My Lip Stuff. They are moisturizing and not greasy. The problem I have with them though is the "flavors" are more like scents because once you put them on the taste is kind of weird. The only flavor from MLS I've found that doesn't do that is Yoga and I'm considering ordering a few more tubes of it just because at $2.50 a tube for such a nice flavor, why not? *Edit!* Ahh! I lied! I found another flavor without a funky taste once applied! It's my "good guy" call me balm which I'm pretty sure is raspberry lemonade flavored. So I guess it's fruity/citrus-y flavors that are okay? More experimentation is required.   I found this etsy store that has some lip things that look interesting. Here and here. I have my eye on some of their body things too. Especially the solid lotion stick.   I also like Bunny Butt's lip balms (just not berry or chocolate flavor please).   As for flavors I like, hmm I like citrus-y flavors (orange, lemon, lime, etc.) But I also like dessert-y flavors (whipped cream, cake, buttercream, ice cream, vanilla, etc.) I do like coffee and chocolate flavors but they have to be really rich, good flavors. A lot of the coffee and chocolate flavored lip balms I've come across have been weakly flavored and kind of plastiky tasting.   I don't usually like berry flavored lip balm (unless it's a really good berry flavor). Berry flavoring usually tastes really chalky to me.   Is there anyone here who likes toe socks? You know, those socks with a place for each toe? Yeah, love 'em!   Food Teams Team beets: Ehhh, not so much. All the ones I've ever had have tasted like dirt... Team brussel sprouts: never had them. Team goat cheese: pretty tasty. Team red licorice: Not as bad as black licorice but still gross. Team black licorice: Blech. Yuck. I really dislike black licorice flavor in any form. I don't even like how it smells. Team mushroom: Yes, if they are cooked in something yummy. (mushrooms are one of those things that suck up the flavor of whatever they're cooked in or with which makes them super tasty.) Raw mushrooms are kinda eh. I don't really like them but I don't dislike them either. Like, I won't pick them out if they're in a salad or something that I'm eating if it was already made. Team marzipan: umm, I'm not entirely sure what this is. I think it's some kind of dessert? I would love to give it a try if it's something easily shippable. Team Cheesecake: Yes, yes, and more yes. Team Ginger: Oooh yeah! And I LOVE those ginger chews things! (regular and flavors) Team Mango: ehhh, I don't really know what it tasted like. I know I don't like artificial mango flavoring/scent but I don't think I've ever had a real mango. Dairy: Yes, please! Chicken: sure. I'm not a huge meat eater but when I do I like chicken the best. (And sushi but that's kinda different. I LOVE sushi but really dislike any other kind of seafood. Weird, huh. ) Raisins: yes. They're a yummy snack and good in bagels and muffins and stuff. Pumpkin: Hmmm, I like pumpkin pie. (LOOOVE pumpkin pie!) and roasted salted pumpkin seeds (awesome snack!) but in other preparations... i don't really know. Avocado: dunno, I don't really feel either way about avocado, really. Olives: EWWWW! They taste like blood to me. Garlic: yes. yum! Tofu: yes, generally. It's one of those things that sucks up all the flavor of whatever it's cooked in or with so usually it's yum.   Do you wear t-shirts? Are there particular things you like on them? Would you like one designed by your Witch? And, if you don't mind saying, what size t-shirt do you wear? I love t-shirts! I pretty much live in them. 99.99% of my wardrobe is t-shirt and jeans. I would absolutely ADORE a t-shirt designed by my witch. Ummm, I don't know how to narrow down what I would like... I don't even know how to start. I guess it depends on what my witch wants to draw for a design. Can I have a category?   New question: How do you feel about maple syrup? I don't like maple syrup.... Is everyone done gasping and swooning and throwing things in my general direction? Okay good... Yeah, I just don't like the flavor of maple all that much. I mean, it's okay, I won't gag and spit out a bite of food if it has maple syrup on it but I just don't really care for it.   Also do you like or racier ecards from time to time and do you need to be warned if something may be not safe to open at work. I won't be opening ecards at work (I don't really check my email at work except every once in a while on my phone) and even if I did I'm sure my boss would get a kick out of me getting a racy ecard from my witch, so go for it!   Anyone love Buffy/Angel? Ooooh! I do! Pick me! Pick me!   How would you feel about gummies? Like, gummy bears? Gummy werewolves? Gummy vampires? Oooh! I love gummy worms! The kind that are "sour gummy worms" with the sour powder on the outside that isn't really sour.   How would you feel about a totally original Gela-skin for your laptop/iPod/phone? Stickers? Decals? I'm assuming this is some kind of phone case thing? If so then yes, I would love one one for my phone. I have an HTC Incredible 2. Or maybe my Ipod? I have a classic size one.   Are your ears pierced, Witchee? Do you have any other piercings? Would you like to receive any items of jewelry for these piercings? I think I put this in my questionnaire but in case I didn't: I have 3 piercings in each lobe (18 gauge ish, normal ear piercing size), a cartilage piercing in my right ear (16 gauge) an industrial in my left ear (16 gauge, 1.5 in. long) and my bellybutton pierced (14 gauge). I am in the market for jewelry for all of these. I would like some captive bead rings for all my lobe piercings (I would like them all to match, silver is good. I'm okay with some solid colors as well. Purple or blue maybe, but generally I like all the jewelry in my piercings to be all silver.) And captive beads for all the cartilage piercings and my bellybutton. (Ditto on the silver/colors thing. Yum!   interested in anything from Lush? I can only use very select thing from LUSH because they use SLS/SLES in their soaps and other icky chemicals in a lot of their stuff (I would totally just not use any LUSH stuff at all but their stuff that I can use is so good!). So only the things on my "other companies wishlist" or the Herbalism cleanser, Grease Lightning cleanser, and Tea Tree Water toner (I'm not sure if I put those three on the wishlist)   Would you be interested in a handmade bookmark? Yes! I love reading, that would be awesome.   How about little bottles of booze? Ya wanna? What kind? Sure, why not? Anything you think is good and you think I should try. I'm not really a big drinker but I like to try things that other people recommend.   What are your views on fudge and brownies? YUM! Yes, please!   Do you guys have any sports that you follow obsessively? How about favorite teams and/or athletes Umm, I wouldn't say obsessively. I like to watch gymnastics and cheerleading competitions when catch them on tv. They are really the only sports I like to watch.   How do you feel about notebooks/journals/stationery? Anything you need or particularly like? I LOVE notebooks/journals. I prefer lined to unlined. (I can't keep my writing straight on unlined paper, lol)   Does confetti/glitter make you angry or fill you with glee? I'm fine with glitter.   Fabulous witches and witchees, perhaps you all could note of you've received MeiLin's goodies? Or if you want? I've read her first book (I think it's her first?) Lovers and Beloveds and I want more! I want all the associated stories and stuff that go with it. They are available on her website I think for download.   How do you feel about stuffed animals/plushies/general soft, cuddly things? If you like them, what kind of animals would you be interested in? YES!!!! I love soft plushie cuddly things. I would love a snail if that would be possible. But a frog is more common to find in plushie form so that would be my second choice.   how interested would you be on somewhat personalized bottle cap labels? Sure! sounds cool.   When you're miserably sick (*sniffle, cough!*) what are the things that comfort you the most? A super fuzzy warm blanket (I loooove super fuzzy plush blankets), some ice cream or tasty coffee, and guilty pleasure fluffy drama shows to watch.   Do you enjoy puzzles/riddles? I do! I like sudoku and logic puzzles and riddles and those logic puzzles where the answer is obvious if you think about it the right way but it's not the way you normally think (did that make any sense at all?) I can't remember what they're called.   Would you like to receive e-books? And if so, in what format? I prefer real paper books, but if it's a book or story or something I really want and it only comes in e-book form (Like MeiLin's stuff. There's some of her stuff that I haven't read and want to that only comes in ebook form) then I'll deal. I think my phone can do e-books (I don't have an ebook reader) but a pdf is fine.   Witchee, would you be interested in having a special tea cup/coffee mug/glass to drink out of? Yes! That would be awesome! As I have mentioned, I am a huuuge coffee addict so a special mug would be perfect.   What are your top three "I want to try them but I think I'll never get to try them" (or, "I've tried them and I want moar moar moar, but I don't think I'll ever get any") scents/bath oils/sprays? My #1 top I want it ALL but have very little chance of ever getting any more scent is De Sade. It was disconned before I had a chance to buy a bottle. I have a few imps but I would buy like 5 bottles, no joke, if I could. Next on the list would probably be Antique Lace. I have one bottle but I'm kind of hesitant to use it because it is doubtful that it will ever come back. *sniffle* I'm also running kind of low on my Goblin of Yuletide... Past? spray (whichever one smells like orange and clove.) and of course everyone loves that one so nobody wants to give it up, so I basically have no chance of getting more.   If you were to receive a gift card, what places would you like to get one from?   Online Places: Babeland (NSFW, it's a sex toy website), SockDreams, Amazon, Bunny Butt Apothecary   Physical Stores I can visit: Target, Barnes and Noble (though this one can work online too)   Do you work/study at a desk and enjoy interesting or cute office supplies? I LOVE office supplies. Pens, pads of paper, sticky notes, notebooks, pencil cases, boxes and containers to hold stuff... everything!   Paintbox Soapworks - anything you're interested in, in general or from the latest update? Why yes indeed! You can check my etsy wishlist and my other companies/non-BPAL wishlist for this info as well but I definitely have my eye on: Smiling Jack, Moundshroud, and Indian Summer. Bars of soap as well as scrubs (and lotion as well if she has lotion available in those scents.) I am really wanting some Lavender Truffle lotion. I haven’t bought any yet, I don’t know why, I just haven’t. But seriously I am craving Lavender Truffle. Lotion the most but I could definitely go for all three things in that flavor. Another scent I'd like lotion in (and soap and scrub as well but lotion is the main attraction here) is Man in the Moon. It just sounds so nice and smooth and relaxing. Some soap flavors I would really like to try are: The Queen is Dead and The Englishman (I am a leather fiend, even in soap. I just can't get enough I don't know how leather will work as a soap scent but I would very much like to find out.)   You have to place a Lab and Trading Post order. Right fuckin' now. No spending limits. What do you buy? Hmmm, I am planning to make a lab Order of DOOM (I’m talking multiple hundreds of dollars. I’ve never really just let myself go wild on a BPAL order and I think it’s high time) after my next couple of paychecks come in. The next few pay periods for me are going to be pretty good because I’ve gotten a lot of hours at work lately and this upcoming Friday I’m working a 16 hour (or longer) day which means a pretty pay period. However, if I just had complete free reign and I didn’t have to worry about cost at all? Also I'm in the early (very early) stages of considering a tattoo of it.   Dream candle? Scent, color, type (tealight, votive, pillar, jar, etc.), throw... Oooooh, that's tough. It depends on if I'm in a foody mood or dark incense-y resin-y mood. Or both! Let's go foody. Maybe a sweet, creamy, coffee, vanilla latte type scent. Oh! maybe layers! Switch Witch Treasure Hunt Round: extra info I forgot to put in my questionnaire

I always, always, always think of so many things to add as soon as I send in my questionnaire... so I figured I might as well make up another blog post for them because the list was getting kind of long.   I can't believe I forgot one of my favorite animals: SNAILS! I love them! I think it's because of the way the question was phrased. It was more about what animals have significance for you. And phoenixes and yellow butterflies have particular significance for me but snails are just my favorite. Anything with a snail on it I will love. I have multiple stuffed animal snails and shirts with snails and I rescued one from the place I used to work (it's kind of a long story but I'm more than willing to tell if you want to hear!)... they're just so awesome and cute!     I reeeeeaaallly like buttons. The ones with witty and clever sayings you pin on your jacket or bag. (there are a ton on my etsy wishlist).     I love things that look like other things and miniature stuff. For example, I have a strange fascination with miniature food (there are also examples of this on my etsy wishlist in the form of miniature food jewelry.) Wallets that look like notebook paper and book safes are other good examples (also from the etsy wl).     I’ve been itching for a new avatar on the forum but I’m not really all that good at creating them for myself. So if you’re good at making icons or can get someone to do it for you, a set of custom icons with and without my forum name would be so cool! Maybe with a corset theme? People have been telling me lately that my forum name sounds dirty… (Which, yes, it kind of does. But I didn’t mean it that way at the time I promise!) So... I think a set of icons with a corset theme paired with my name would make for an interesting combination.     Lately I’ve been trying to expand my perfume horizons. So I guess what I’m trying to say is I am really looking to try the non-BPAL perfumes on my wl on the forum and on etsy (like Arcana, DSH, Conjure, Morbid The Merrier, HAEE, etc.). That’s not to say I don’t want BPAL (heaven forbid! ) but I’ve just been branching out a little…     I really love MeiLin’s writing. I have her first book (Lovers and Beloveds) and the ebook anthology that she wrote a story for but she has a new ebook short story out that I haven’t bought yet. (Actually there are two I think? The Gratification Engine and Accounts. I don’t have either.) I don’t have an e-reader or anything so it would have to be a PDF. But that’s something I would love to receive! I like that *ahem* type of writing in general (overshare? I do tend to do that… lol sorry). I also really LOVE the Kushiel’s series by Jacqueline Carey. I used to have all the books but I loaned the first 4 to someone and never got them back.     I love notebooks! The blank pages of a new notebook are so full of promise. (I do prefer lined notebooks to blank ones though. Somehow I can never seem to keep my writing straight on unlined pages. ) Any size is fine. Spiral or bound.     Oh… and this is kind of random, but you know the questionnaire about what kind of shoe would you be? I bought shoes the other day that are almost exactly what I was thinking of when I answered that question. I didn’t realize it until I was reading my own witchee’s questionnaire and got to the shoe question. I thought you might want a visual answer, lol! Here they are sitting on the floor. Switch Witch 'Weenie Round '11 Extra Questions Part 2

Soooo... I happened to skip down to the end of my blog post to see that some of my earlier answers have been cut off! Eeeep! So, I'm going to transfer some of my most recent answers over here and answer the newest questions over here from now on (or until I need a THIRD post )   More random stuff: I have been lusting over Villainess Bourbon Vanilla Smooch and Whipped since I (re)discovered that they existed the other day via the SW thread... seriously. I have been using the death by chocolate scrub I have and it is lovely I can't even imagine how good the Bourbon Vanilla stuff will be   Do you like liquorice? If so, hard or soft? Sweet or salt? Normally salted or so salt it pulls your face into a fishy shape? And which shapes do you like? Nooooo. I really don't like liquorice. Especially black liquorice. ew.   How do you like your chocolate? For example with nuts, mint, peanut butter, caramel? I like milk and white chocolate the best. (I actually love just plain good quality white chocolate. I love how it's so creamy and just melts away on my tongue...)I like salty and sweet combos, like chocolate covered pretzels (OMG chocolate covered pretzels are my biggest weakness! Milk and white are my favorite but dark too... guh.) I am really intrigued by bacon chocolate. I would like to try it. I do like fruit flavors (wither real fruit pieces or just like a fruit flavoring in the chocolate) If I had to pick a favorite I'd say orange. But I really like grapefruit, lime (citrusy flavors are good), strawberry, raspberry... I DON'T like blueberry, mango, or cherry. Cherry is tricky because I like real cherries but cherry flavoring I do not like. Nuts are also okay. I really like almonds and milk chocolate. I'm kind of on a walnut kick right now so that wouls be good. (though I've never had a walnut in chocolate. I wonder what that would taste like...?) I like marshmallows and toffee. Those are sometimes in chocolate bars right? Oooh! I was messing around on the create your own chocolate bar site someone posted and I made a bar that was just white chocolate with candied violet petals. I am curious to see how that would taste... I've also made some others (dark or milk chocolate with sea salt and lavender, milk and/or white chocolate with orange peel, milk chocolate with marshmallows and graham crackers - s'more bar! , milk chocolate with banana chips and yogurt pretzels, because why not?, I could go on all night... )   More random stuff, BPAL related: So, it seems that I have ruined my bottle of TKO. The other day I dropped the cap (wand cap) and I didn't think that the wand hit my hand that was covered in scented lotion, but apparently it did, so now instead of smelling like a fluffy lavender marshmallow, it smells like and herbaly kinda vanillaish lavender-y mess. A practically FULL BOTTLE. I really am almost in tears over this. I know it's stupid but I can't buy another bottle and I was planning to buy a backup so now I need two and I have no money right now and what if it gets disconed before I can buy more?   Is there a movie you want that you don’t own now? Yes. Inception. I'm sure there are more but that's the only one that comes to mind at the moment.   Would any witchees be interested in Quinn Popcorn? Sure, sounds interesting!   Am I the only one? I know it's a alcohol containing perfume so I probably won't like it all that much but I feel like I should at least try it. So at some point I'd like to get the smallest container of it that they make. Which I think is a rollerbottle. Another random thing! I am going to at some point get a tattoo of a phoenix. I have the drawing of the phoenix that I want, but it's not colored. I want a colored tat and I'm having issues with coloring it myself. I mean, I know what color scheme I want it to have... kind of. I'm just having trouble translating my thoughts to the paper. And if you had to choose, tarts or candles? Yes candles! And I definitely have my eye on some Yankee candles stuff. I for some reason get yankee candles catalogs to my house and I browse through them and lust over the big jar candles in soo many luscious scents. I do like regular candy corn in small doses. Other things you're squicked/freaked by that's best left by the wayside? OMG! I don'tknow why but this question reminded me of the first time I went back to a Chuck-E-Cheese since becoming an adult (I mean, not since turning 18 but like, I hadn't been there since I was a little kid and now I was going back for my boyfriend's little cousin's party or something I don't even remember.) And O.M.F.G. the creepy anamatronic muppet robot character things on the creepy little stage "playing" their creepy little instruments with the crappy tinny music being pumped in through badly masked speakers. It was AWFUL. Their movement was jerky and sudden and their eyes never really closed or opened all the way and their mouthes moved in a really unnerving unhinged quality..... And of course the table for the stupid party was right next to the stupid "stage" where these creepy fucking puppet things were. Up close you could hear the "clack clack" of the plastic banging together and the whirring of the motors that operated their movement but really, that didn't make it any better... I know you're not going to send me a creepy Chuck-E-Cheese robot, I really don't know where that came from...   If you had to decide what your stripper name was, what would it be? Ahaha! I have a good one if you do by the name of your first pet and the first street you lived on rules (that's how my friends and I always did it anyway...) So mine would be Tawna Sellman. I think that one's pretty good all on it's own. If I ever need to go underground or need a few extra bucks... Tawna Sellman it is!   I have just been enlightened to THESE. Are these flavors relevant to your interests? Oooooh. It's lip stuff, you know I can't help myself. The ones that look interesting to me are: Dead Sexy, Clove Cigarette, Salted Caramel, and Smoked Salt (because whaaaaa?) I mean really, all of them sound good. But those sound... the most good? Treasure Hunt Round ’11 Part 1

Just a note: The older SW answers in this blog may or may not still be accurate. If you want to know about something I answered before, please ask me again!   Baked Goods? Yea Nay? Yes! Yes and more yes! One thing to be aware of though, I live with my family and I do like to share my treats. My mom is vegetarian so anything made with non-veg ingredients (lard, gelatin, etc.) needs to be labeled as such.   If I were to make an order right now: A BPAL order would include bottles of WILF (if it's still live?) each of the Riders (Red, Black, White) and The Antikythera Mechanism. Possibly definitely another backup of War. (I'm kind of freaking out about my GC discons right now ) Maybe another each bottle of Celeste and Spanked (I have a TP order with a bottle of each coming but I tested them at a MnS recently and they're even better than I expected!) And if Ein Kuss Von Krampus is still available from DD I would order that...   What level of nudity are you fine with on items?: Nudity itself doesn't bother me at all, neither do curse words or "dirty" words (with a few exceptions). It is the situation of the nudity that might bother me. Like... sending me a Hustler might not please me too much but on the other hand I looooove pin-up art.   I know the ?airre asked about gently used books and if you like garage sales, but would you like other kinds of gently used items that may have come from a garage sale?: Yes! Use your judgment on the level of used-ness. And I want to expand upon my used books answer: I looooove used books! I do get a little picky about marks and highlighting inside them though. In novels it kind of annoys me if there is underlining/highlighting/other marks inside. Cover wear, outside marking (within reason), yellowing, age wear, etc. that’s all good.   Do you like any particular kinds of green or back teas or coffees that could also be gotten in bulk? I am a coffee fiend! Seriously. Lately I’ve been getting bags of flavored coffee from Target (their brand is Archer Farms) and they’re surprisingly good! My favorite is Cinnamon Vanilla Nut but I’ve tried the Chocolate Truffle and Chocolate Fudge Brownie and they are good! (I also tried their French Vanilla but I prefer other brands vanilla flavors) I also like just regular coffee. Lighter roasts are better. I really like Dunkin' Donuts coffee actually. I like hot chocolate a lot as well. Tea is good but I really prefer coffee.   Favorite snack foods (and can they be from bulk section as well?) Chocolate covered pretzels! OMG! I also really like ginger chews (that's what those ginger chewy thingies are called right?) In just regular and flavors. Ooooh and gummy worms! Especially the kind with the "sour powder" on the outside that's not really sour. And I love the candies that are round chewy caramel with cream in the center. I don't remember the brand name...   Do you like cooking seasonings, like the kind you can get in ounces sizes? If so, things you'd love to try out? I don't cook all that much... so probably not so much.   Mix CD?: Yes please!   Stuffed critter? I would love a little crafted stuffed animal! So cute!   E-Goodies: E-goodies are good. You know the ones! They have a Japanese name! GAH! If so, who needs to be emulated as one? I don't know exactly what you're talking about but it sounds really cute!   Pirates vs Ninjas vs Zombies - who wins? Which do you love most? Ooooh. Tough question. I would say pirates if they're the grungy-sexy Johnny Depp-as-Jack Sparrow type.   Do you like wearing things in your hair? If so, what kind (snap clips, scrunchie, headband, etc), how big & crazy (lowkey, bigger the better), and colors. My hair is loooong and fine. It slips out of a lot of clips (grippy bumps on the inside aren't a bad idea). But I like claw clips and thick-ish hairties. Bright colors and funky designs are good. Sometimes I use the clips that you bend back and forth to open and close. I don't like things that are going to stick out too much (with the exception of big claw clips) or have too much extra stuff going on.   Piercings: 3 in each earlobe (i usually just keep plain silver rings in these), an industrial in one ear and a single cartilage piercing in the other (both 16 gauge), and my bellybutton. I'm always losing the bottom balls to the bellybutton rings and I have a tendency to get bored quickly with the rings I have, so I'm always looking for new ones. I don't like anything too dangly for regular wear. Really, the ones with cheap acrylic balls in bright colors and patterns are best. Because you can get a bunch of them at once and it doesn't matter if you lose or break a ball because you can just grab another ring.   Chocolate. With stuff in it? Are you more a plain chocolate lover, a chocolate and normal items lover (normal items being nuts, fruit, caramel) or do you like weird stuff in your chocolate? (weird stuff being curry, chilis, balsamic vinegar, floraly things) Yesssss! I like milk, dark, and white chocolate (yes, I know white chocolate isn't really chocolate but I still like it). I like orange chocolate a lot and I would love to try other citrus-y kinds if they make them. No so big on nuts. Caramel is okay. Fruit and berries are generally good (cherry can be kinda iffy though). As for weird stuff, I've always kind of wanted to try bacon chocolate but never have. Never tried chilis. If they're not actually really hot I'd give them a try. I think white chocolate is my favorite kind of chocolate to eat plain. I like milk and dark chocolate dressed up with other stuff better.   For those who like lipgloss, lipstick, tinted balms, etc, what colors do you wear (and warm? cool?) and do you prefer something sheer or more opaque? How do you feel about shimmer? I looooove lip balm. Seriously, I can never have too many. There a bunch on my etsy wishlist if you want to get an idea of flavors I like. I don't wear glosses or lipstick very much. a little bit of shimmer or glitter is okay but nothing too over the top.   Are there any fancy/gourmet/special herbs or spices that you'd love to receive? ie: good quality vanilla or other extracts, vanilla beans, saffron, lavender, etc. I would totally love whole vanilla beans and saffron.   What's your favorite animal? Or is there one that's particularly significant to you? Phoenixes. I have a very strong connection with them and the next tattoo I get is going to be a phoenix. (Or... maybe it won't for monetary reasons but I've had the phoenix planned for years now.) Also butterflies like this one. I have one tattooed on my leg, in fact. Both of these have stories behind their significance which I am totally willing to tell if you want to know, I just don't want to take up too much room in the blog post with it.   If you were able to get a vintage or prototype bottle from the upcoming West Coast Will Call, which one would you want? Ohhh, I had kind of tried to ignore them because I knew I had no chance of getting any let me go take a look... probably Monsterbait: Underpants (right, me and the whole rest of the forum ), Elf v4, Paladin v3, WBSP1, maybe Cake Smash v6 and Velvet Panther v3   DVDs, Blu-Ray, both, neither? DVD!   Sock Dreams? What kind? (anklets, footies, etc.?) YESYESYES! Did I mention yes? I like kind of neutral colors that will go with a variety of clothes because I don't like to do a lot of switching around of bags. So like black or tan or grey or maybe even blue or green.   Decorative scarves for hair and/or creative accessorizing? What colors? You know, I always think I want decorative scarves, but I never use them for anything. They're so pretty but I almost never dress up enough to actually make them useful.   Would you like anything from Starring Fragrances. They make awesome hair stuff, natural deoderant, and home fragrance (and a ton of other stuff, those are just my favs)? Yes! there is kind of a lot I want from Starring. Check my non-BPAL wishlist. A lot of the perfumes (oil based please ) sound good to me but also the scrubs, soap, shower gel (their shower gel doesn't have SLS/SLES! YAY! and I do need some shower gel because I have a shower puff from a previous swap and no shower gel to use with it ) and possibly lotion in the scents indicated in my WL.   Do you like poetry? Yes I do. This is my favorite book of poetry, but I am open to anything my witch would like to send.   What types of scents do you like to scent your home? Which do you totally avoid? Scents to avoid is easy: florals. Room scents that are overly floral usually just make my head hurt. Sometimes the "fresh" or "clean" ones do it too, but some of them I like. Scents I like are a little more complicated. I like fruits, sweet fruits in particular. I also like vanillas and baking type scents like "chocolate chip cookies" or "vanilla buttercream" or "pumpkin pie" or something like that. I also really like coffee scents. Coffee with stuff is also good. Like mocha or hazelnut coffee, etc. I am intrigued by the idea of a leather scented candle but I don't know if it would be good or would make my head hurt. It would have to be a really good quality leather scent.   What are your thoughts on comics? Any you like? Any you have been wanting to try? Favorite characters? I'm not so much a comic book person. I do read some webcomics.   How do you feel about nail polish? What colors do you like? Sparkles? I have some nail polish and I use it fairly infrequently but when I do use it I really like it. The only color I feel that my life is missing and I really really need is a rich, deep velvety chocolate brown. Otherwise I like pretty much anything except yellow and orange. Sparkles are all good.   Ok geek check - what sort of geeky things do you do? Do you read comics/graphic novels? Are you obsessed with something (a TV show maybe?) Do you work in a geeky field? Do you play rpgs like Dungeons and Dragons? Would you like gifts related to any of these? My sister calls me a "secret geek." Meaning I look like a perfectly normal girl on the outside, but on the inside, total geek. and until you talk to me, you'd never know. Things I tend to geek out about are authors I like. Stephen King (especially the way so many of his books have little hidden things that reference other books and you have to have read everything to get them), Sara Douglass (to a certain extent she does something similar but to a waaaay lesser extent. She has an ongoing story that links back to an earlier series... it's kind of hard to explain.), Jacqueline Carey , Margaret Atwood. I geek out somewhat over video games like Pokemon (my favorite is Piplup. Soooooo cute! ) and Kingdom Hearts (though my sister is way more hardcore then me. I do have a necklace that is Axel's weapon though.) Also, Star Trek. TNG and Voyager. Not so much on the other series.   Do you have a favorite fabric? If someone were to make you a fabric item, would you prefer it be out of any fabric? e.g. velvet, satin, silk, cotton, bamboo??? Would this change if it were an article of clothing vs. a bag/pillow/blanket/something else ooooh! I think it kinda depends on what the item is. I really like bamboo fabric and satin but I don't know how well those would hold up in a bag or something that would have to take a lot of abuse. But if you were making, say, a pillow or something. I think they would work. (Of course I don't know these things. I'm just guessing ) Smooth cotton fabrics are also nice but again I guess it kind of depends on what you're doing with it. I've always kind of liked bags made out of coffee bean sacks (I think they're burlap?) but it's that rustic, random words and symbols printed on it look I like. OOOH! And I loooove those no-sew fleece blanets that come in bundles that you just unwrap and you're good to go. I have like, 4, but I will keep buying them! You can never have too many snuggly lightweight blankets!   Anything with the Worm Moon update that you're already lusting after? Yup. 4/5 of the new/LE salons look wonderful! Especially the Earth Spider one (too tired to look it up right now.) (as long as they drive. (What bottle would you die to get your hands on - even a partial?) I would kill for a bottle of De Sade. It's the most wonderful, sexy, pure leather scent I've ever smelled and I have some imps but I missed out on getting a bottle before it was discontinued. There are a lot of scents I would like to sniff but I'm kind of scared to because they're soooo rare and I'm afraid that I will fall in love and never be able to find more.   Another question! @#^&%#$* emoticons......   Is there ONE scent that you are just dying for from the Halloween update? I'd say Boo but I'm in an awesome arrangement to get some sent my way. So, my answer is Lambs-Wool. I dismissed it originally but reading the reviews is making it look better and better. Also, I have a decant of Pumpkin V on its way to me but I'm expecting to love it and need a bottle.   Leftover Weenie decants? Sure! I'm pretty much anything on my wishlist. Lambs-Wool, Mircalla, Countess Karnstein, Pumpkin IV, Feeding The Dead, Falling Leaf Moon, Trevor Bruttenhelm... all things I'd love to get decants of.   any amy brown art fans? ME!   If you're caught in front of the tv, what are you watching? Probably the food network. I love shows like Top Chef (I know that's a Bravo show) or Chopped or those awesome cake challenges... Well, here in MD we usually have a few weeks of nice, fall weather then it freezes. My hair is still pretty short right now (shoulder length) but I'm growing it out. Though my hair is very fine and thin so keep that in mind. Hair sticks have never worked for me (maybe I'm just doing it wrong?) Good Books Recently Read?   Just finished Nammah's Kiss. (As one can see from my questionnare, I'm a huge Jacqueline Carey/Terre d'Ange fangirl.)   I put The Mists of Avalon aside to read it and it seems I just can't get back into it, so now I'm reading Peony in Love by Lisa See.   What are your favorite animals? Or, what animals resonate strongly with you?   Ya know, I was waiting for a question like this, because I forgot to include any info like this on my questionnaire. I have a special place in my heart for frogs and snails. (I have a giant stuffed snail that I love named Big Petey after my pet snail and a little flourite frog that my mom gave me on my first day of college.) I'm the girl who saves the snails. And pretty much anything with snails or frogs will get an "awww" out of me.   Historical figures: hmmm. There's no one in particular I can think of.   Chips: Eh... they're okay. But I don't eat them that often.   Beer: I don't drink, so nope.   Posters: I have no space!   Is there anything you've been wanting to learn that your witch might be able to help you with? I’d like to learn how to knit and crochet.   Are you obsessed with honey? If so, is there a particular kind you like best? Spun honey, flavored honeys, certain types of honey.... etc. Honey’s okay but I wouldn’t say I’m obsessed.   Are there any kinds of books you collect? I don’t have any specific collections. I’d love a book of pinup art. (I don’t have one)   So... favorite kinds of woods (as used in wood art ect.)? Ummm. I don’t know. I do like art made of wood, but I don’t know enough about it that I can of differentiate between the types of wood.   Any part of art history/ style of art that you can't get enough of? (eg: Baroque, ancient Egyptian, Victorian, steam punk, modern?) I like some steampunk stuff. Otherwise, I don’t really know enough about art to say what it is I like. It usually I see something and say “Ohhh! I like it!”   Do you like coffee? Whole bean or ground? Bold/Medium/Mild roast? I love coffee. You hear me? love. Get that from my dad. I don't have a coffee grinder in my house though so no whole bean for me. All the orphan coffee can come live at my house.     So you have enough socks and wraps... (shush, VCW!) Are there any other knitted goods you might like? Lap blanket? Fingerless gloves? Arm warmers? Little knitted animals? Silk scarf? Head band? Wrist cuff? Dish clothes? Summer '09 SW round: extra questions part 4

Who knits? Do you also spin and dye? What supplies, that you wouldn't buy for yourself, would you just love to have for that activity? I don't know how to knit. I wish I did. *pout*   Are you interested in Tarot or Tarot art? hmmm... I don't really do Tarot but some art I've seen on some cards is beautiful!   What would you think of soap samples/shampoo bar samples? (I believe the latter can be used as soap if you are not shampoo bar inclined). Or other sample sized bath/beauty products, for that matter? Any sample sized product would be welcomed just the same as it's full sized counterpart.   What about burnables as in candles, tarts and/or incense? Weeellllll... I don't have a tart burner, and I don't really burn incense (even though I think it smells really good and I'm sure I have a burner around here somewhere *searches through piles of stuff in my room*) and I like candles but I just never get around to burning them.   Do you want to know when you have something coming in the mail, or would you rather it be a complete surprise? Either way. If my witch tells me I will squee and squee and squee again and stalk my mailbox until it comes. If she doesn't tell me then I'll squee extra loud when it gets here. It's really up to her... And part 2.. What's your mailbox situation? I have a pretty big mailbox. The mail people have fit multiple packages in there before (if it won't fit in the mailbox they usually just walk it up to my porch anyway.) so I think you're good sending whatever you want. And there are almost always people at my house to bring in the mail so things shouldn't be sitting out there for too long.   What kind of a car do you drive and would you want something you could use in your car? I don't drive...   Are you a good witch or a bad witch? That all depends on who I'm talking to.   Is your abode a palace covered in fur, a disaster area, or a neat freak's delight? heh... with 8 cats and a dog in the house it's hard not to have fur everywhere. And the house is... lived in but not a wreck. Except for my room. That's a wreck. I can find my clothes and the things I need to find but yeah. It's a huge mess in there. The cat's aren't allowed in. Literally, the most organized thing in my room are my BPAL boxes. It's sad.   What one item would you just love to have that is made by a Switch Witch?   Examples: Art by strangemodegirl Jewelry by coldfire box by Delphine Quilt by scotchgrrl etc.     you mean I'm supposed to choose just one?     How are you doing for BPAL storage? Nowhere I can think of off the top of my head.   If you have music or DVD's on your wishlist, do you mind getting a burned copy? How about if it is original packaging but previously used? Or do you only want it new? burned or used is fine   Are you a candles person, incense person, or just a BPTP spritzer for room scents? BPTP sprays, definitely.   Are there any phobias you have that you absolutely, positively, do NOT want anything from your witch referencing? no phobias. I doubt there's anything my witch would want to send me that would bother me.   What do you like to snack on? All sorts of stuff... If we're talking sweets, I like cookies and brownies and candy and, and, and.... There has been much talk of salted caramels and that sounds quite tasty. And whoever it was that mentioned Starbucks salted caramel hot chocolate, I like it too... a lot.   Not-sweet things. I like crackers and pretzels and stuff like that. Also, cut up veggies.   Is there something that would offend you if you received it in your mail/gift/email)? (as in profanity, a bad words in an email/card/music ... or a card or something with a scantily dressed man/woman pictured on it, crude/immature humor tshirts, etc ...) Profanity and nudity wouldn't offend me. It depends on the crude or immature humor but I'm starting to have less and less tolerance for that sort of thing.   If you could make your perfect scent (or at least most desired at the moment!) what would be in it? Whew... this is tough. I've been going for darker, more incense-y things lately so it would probably have patchouli or something smoky or incense-ish. Also, spices (think Snake Charmer). But with some sweetness thrown in.   OR   something super foody with cream and fruit and berries and maybe some cake or something... (mmmm, cream)   OR   Something dark and sexy with leather and smoke (not vetiver though! ) and hot spices... maybe some myrrh or something.   Gah! My scent tastes are all over the place so it's so hard to choose just one combination!   List things you DO NOT need any more of: Beaded jewelry. I make it, so yeah. Other jewelry is great! But beads, I've got covered.   Do you wear makeup or nail polish? Need brushes, containers, storage, mani/pedi supplies? What colors and brands do you like? I don't usually wear makeup, but I've been looking at some going, "Hmm, I wonder, if I had that would I wear it?" Usually the things I look at are jewel toned eyeshadows with a bit of shimmer (some neutral colors too) and I love lip glosses and such things and lust after them with a passion. Other makeup... sure! Why not! I actually really want to start wearing it more often and if I actually had some I liked I might...   Nail polish = yes please! I love to paint my nails! I don't have many colors, so whatever you want to give me would be appreciated.   Do you like shiney hanging porch decorations like windchimes or those things that spin and swirl in the wind? They're pretty but I doubt they'd get much use around my house.   Hair adornments? Headbands and little clips would be nice. I just cut my hair to chin length from below my shoulders and all the hair bobs I have are for much more hair than I have now.   Which flavors are you interested to try from the Chocolate Research Facility?   *drool*   As well as, ya know, the various kinds of milk, dark and white chocolate they have... Valentine's Shotgun Round part 2

Mardi Gras?: Well, I've never lived/been anywhere where it's celebrated so I've never really experienced it.   Plush microbes?: Yes! I love them! Though I've never gotten any for myself I've gotten them as gifts for other people before. I think they have their own site (with the full catalog) you can buy them from... somewhere around here... Ah! Here it is! Plush Microbes   What about handmade sewn gifts? Any fabrics you wish to/need to avoid due to allergies, etc? I would love and cherish something hand-sewn! I can sew just enough to mend holes in my shirts and that's it so if you can sew me something (anything!) believe me, I will be amazed at your skill! Anything handmade from my witch (this includes crafts, clothes, accessories, food, sweets, candy, knick-knacks, jewelry, artwork, or anything else) will be loved by me! It will make me feel super special and loved that you took the time to think about me so much and actually craft something by hand just for me!   Oh... and no allergies here. Except to medicine. But none of you will be sending me pills. or will you...   Would you like new nail polish? If so, what colors are you craving? Yes, I would love nail polish! I like pretty much all colors with the exception of yellow and orange. (They clash with my skin.) I'm on the lookout for a really good deep, rich, velvet chocolate brown. I have a list of BPTP nail polishes I'd like on my wishlist. I have a good bright pink (it's a pretty light pink though, not fuchsia) and I have a good bright blue so I don't need those colors but pretty much anything besides that is fair game.   Do you like incense and/or scented candles, and are you able to burn them in your home? If so, what kinds of scents do you like? I think I pretty much covered the "what kind of burny things do I like" part of this question in my questionnaire. (If my witch has any questions please feel free to ask!) I have some Voluspa candles on my "other companies" wishlist so that might give you an idea of some things I'd like. Scents I like: Foody (like buttercream or chocolate or cake or coffee... you get the picture), berries and fruit, sometimes I like the "fresh linen" or "ocean spray" type scents. Scents to avoid: melon, pretty much anything floral.   WoW? nope.   Boxes? For Bpal (bottles and/or imps) or otherwise. I think I mentioned something about this in my questionnaire, but yeah. My bottles are starting to outgrow their storage. I have a few ammo boxes for imps and I think I'm okay there.   Favorite candy Running with the Valentine's theme, I looooove conversation hearts! Also chocolate, milk and dark and white. I'd like to try various kinds of chocolate-with-stuff bars. And salted caramel. S/he looks down and sees [insert impossibly rare item that you've always wanted but could never afford] with a $5-10 sticker on it. Sheepishly s/he takes it to the guy behind the folding table. "Do you know what this is?" s/he inquires. The gentleman states that it belonged to his mother/sister/grandmother/Great Aunt Beulah and he thinks it's for, like, hair or something. With a trembling hand, s/hes pays the man and heads home with the inconceivable riches.   So, what is this unobtainable miracle your Witch found? working on this one... lol   What about UNTOUCHED make-up samples or any other type of girly-sample thing? sure! just keep in mind no SLS/SLES and no parabens   Do you prefer coffee, tea, or hot chocolate? What flavors? I think my questionnaire covers this pretty well. Me = coffee fiend. *takes sip of vanilla latte* I also like tea and hot chocolate...   Imagine that someone hands you their wallet and sends you into a really good bakery. SW Fall '09 questions part 3

again, emoticons pose a problem.   In your perfect world it is chocolate and...? More chocolate? My favorite chocolate is Ghirardelli. Though I'd love to expand my chocolate experience.   How do you scent your home Tarts, reed diffusers, BPAL, candles? I usually use BPAL sprays to scent my room, but I like scented candles and oil in a burner. I burn incense on occasion.   How do you take your coffee (or tea)? Black or with cream and/or sugar? Coffee with cream and sugar, plz! When I occasionally drink tea it's usually just straight tea, but sometimes with milk and sugar, depending on what tea it is.   Do you believe we control our destiny, or does our destiny control us? I go back and forth on this issue, but usually my opinion is that our futures are determined through our actions and the circumstances surrounding us.   What's your favorite dessert treat? Ice cream? Cake? Pie? Fudge brownie cake with pie flavored ice cream on top? Hmm... I can't choose just one. Pumpkin pie is quite delicious. Also, my sister makes some kickass brownies and they're amazing fresh out of the oven with vanilla ice cream.   What one thing that is missing from your life would you like to have above all else? Friends. I don't have very many people I'm really close to.   For the tea and coffee drinkers: Opinion on tea- and/or coffee-related accessories/etc? (Teaware, sugar crystals, infusers, tea chests, etc) I don't know what half those things are But I could always use coffee mugs (travel and normal) and I'd love a knitted/felted/crocheted/whatever coffee cup holder thing. (did that make any sense?)   If I send you whole spices or coffee beans, would you be able to grind them or would you prefer them preground for your convenience? I don;t believe I have a working coffee grinder so pre-ground only for me. Ditto for spices. I don't usually cook but if I had some awesome spices on hand I might.   Super power? To selectively read minds.   when you receive your SW packages...do you like receiving things that are individually wrapped inside? or unwrapped? or both? Whatever my witch decides will make me a very happy witchee.   Do sounds make you happy? What ambient noises make you smile? Sometimes I'll open up the bag of coffee just to sniff. Also, books. Textbooks, old books and bookstore-new books all have distinct scents and I love them all. And we can't forget the bookstore smell. I love walking into Borders and taking a biiiiig sniff.   Coffee drinkers, what types of beans to you like? Kona, Sumatra, Kenya..etc. How do you like them roasted? Do you like flavors, such as hazelnut, vanilla, etc. in your coffee? Type of beans doesn't matter to me. I haven't had enough experience with different kinds of coffee to have a preference on this matter. (though peaberry coffee is really, really good!) I usually like roasts that aren't too dark but it doesn't matter that much. I do like flavors. Pretty much any flavors are good.   If you do any kind of craft, could you use supplies? What kind? knitting needles, yarn, amazing fabric, pinking shears, cool thimbles or pincushins, jewelery making supplies, beads, etc.? I bead jewelry, so some cool beads would be appreciated.   What's your favorite pain-relief remedy or ritual? Depends on the pain. If it's a migraine, I really have no choice but to take prescription painkillers. But other kinds of pain (like muscle aches, etc.)require a massage and comforting BPAL and rest.   There has been a lot of talk about chocolate, but none about Candy! What is your favorite Candy? What candy do you hate? I love tootsie rolls! Pixie stix are tasty too. However, I hate licorice.   Do you have a Blu-Ray player? Nope   Do you have any objections to receiving downloads? Is your internet connection fast enough for you to download large files like music easily? Are there any songs, albums, movies, or TV shows that you can't find/haven't been released that you want? I can download music and videos easily. Receiving downloads doesn't bother me.   Who has a birthday falling in this round? I've been wanting to try chilie chocolate even though I don't like spicy food. The movies Little Nemo and The Brave Little Toaster.   For books: The Diamond in the Window. I read my copy to shreds. What's that one thing you keep meaning to get but keep forgetting or passing over? For me, it's a wallet. I really need a new wallet. And I could use an aluminum water bottle. Like a Sigg bottle but I don't care what brand.   What kind of mythology are you interested in? Egyptian and Greek are pretty interesting   Puddin' posts ebay sales of older stuff every now and then - what of the current lot are you dying for? I've always wanted to try Pinched and Bah.... less so All Souls and Beaver Moon '05.   But please, dearest Witch, don't get involved in a crazy Ebay bidding war with ridiculous prices involved just for my sake.     The internet makes stalking 2000000000000000 times easier than it ever has been. Do you tweet? I have, thus far, avoided the Twitter movement.   Do you like coconut? To eat? Not really.   With all this talk of chocolate, do you prefer milk or dark? Both.   What of the summer update (Egyptian, Lawn Ornaments, etc.) appeals most to you? SW Fall '09 questions part 1

As for Halloween/Autumn/scary movies: There aren't any Specifically Halloween or Autumn themes ones I can remember seeing. If my future witch would like to open my eyes to some I'd be more than happy. Scary movies in general I usually like. Horror movie scary or suspenseful scary, I like them both.   Roasted pumpkin seeds: Chex mix: need I say more?   What kinda socks are you wearing tonight?: well, now it's the morning and I just got up, so none! (*gasp* The horror!) But later when I head off for class I'll be wearing solid colored ankle socks probably.     Whats your favorite pie, my dear SW's?: Pumpkin without a doubt. Though I do make a mean apple pie if I do say so myself.   Do you like socks? Blankets? Wrist warmers? Arm warmers? Headband? Shawl? Or what kind of knitted thing would you love the most? Yes, yes, and more YES! to all of the above (except wrist warmers, I don't usually wear those.) I would feel so special if my witch were to send me something knitted.   How do you feel about ghost stories? Do you like to tell the old tales around a campfire? Read true accounts on the web way past your bedtime? Do you like to pick up a good anthology of Poe stories on a blustery day? Or is all that too scary for you? I love reading ghost stories and stories about hauntings, etc. They're just so intriguing.   Coffee or tea? Well, you see. I'm a HUUUGE coffee addict. I like regular coffee and flavors and all the frou-frou drinks... everything! As for tea, I don't drink it much but I do like it. Especially fruit flavors.   Olive oil/lavender: I don't really like the smell of either (except for the lavender in TKO)... So as good as fresh olive oil soap sounds I just don't think I could get over the way it smells.   Does anyone in here wear a lot of dangly earrings or collect pendants of all kinds?? How about hair clips or pony tail band things? I only wear dangly earrings for special occasions. But I do like and wear them. Usually I just keep small silver hoops in my ears unless it's for something special. I love to wear pendants and my hair's starting to get to the length where I can use ponytail holders again.   What other hot beverages everyone likes for fall? coffee and tea mostly. But also hot cocoa when I'm in the mood.   Did you order anything from the most recent update? I bought the 3 new forum onlys (which is a big order for me) but there are so many other tempting things. There a re a few of the new Hellboy scents that sound interesting and Detestable Putrescence sounds very good! I was tempted by the moon but I managed to talk myself down. Then there's the BPTP update! Knock-a-Dolly sounds too good to pass up. And I'm very tempted by the Pumpkin Pie bath oil even though I don't take baths! There are other uses, right... right?   Vampires or Werewolves? Or some other monster? Not so much into the vampires (unless they're of the Buffy and Angel variety ) Werewolves are more me I suppose.... Maybe something else? I can't think of any off the top of my head.   What sort of odd or regional foods do you crave? Hmm. Nothing comes to mind. Will update if that changes.   Any Gamers here? What kind? Board games? RPG? Miniature? MMORPG? I like playing board games with my family. Particularly Apples to Apples and Cranium and things like that. I used to play FFXI but when I realized that $12 a month was almost a full bottle of BPAL I stopped. I was never all that into it anyway.   Is anyone playing this round of SW into ABJ? (I use too many emoticons for one post apparently)   Are you involved in any long-term, ambitious project? something like decorating your house or saving for a trip to the other end of the world, for example. I'm trying (very unsuccessfully) to save up for a new tattoo.   Favorite kind or take out kinda burger? Whats your burger preference? Veggie,meat or ???? I don't like hamburgers. I used to be a vegetarian but gave it up when I discovered the joys of sushi.   Whats your favorite childhood toy? Probably Legos or something. Tinkertoys were fun too.   If you have a pet, what kind of gifts would be good for them? I have many cats and I"m sure they'd appreciate toys and bits and bobs. We don't really give them treats much...   Do you Tweet? What is your Twitter name? I have a twitter but barely use it. My name there is taisgaidh.   Are you on Ravelry? What is your Ravelry name? I don't know what that is.   Would any witches be interested in home-made sewn type crafts? If so, what type? (e.g. tote bags, pillowcases, laptop covers, etc..) A laptop cover would be AWESOME! But anything on that list and more would rock!! Anything my witch wanted to make for me, or contract someone to make, would be super cool!   Any other steampunk fans/lovers? I like a lot of the steampunky jewelry I see on etsy and things like that. I'd like to learn more about steampunk as a whole.   Favorite color: I think I did a pretty good job covering it in my questionnaire. Black and purple are my favorites, but there's no color I really dislike. It also depends on what you're talking about. Jewelry: anything goes, clothes: not much just because some colors clash with my coloring.   Describe your ideal picnic lunch. Where would you go? Who (if anyone) would accompany you? What sort of food would you take? And, of course, if a picnic lunch sounds like a horrible idea, feel free to say so! Well, an idea I've hd in my head for a long time (that I want to do if I can) is that I'd love to have a picnic on a cliff (maybe overlooking the ocean? Maybe not) at sunset with my boyfriend. We'd bring chocolate covered strawberries and other such romantic foods. Does that count? If not then I'd just invite all the people I know from the BPAL forum and have a biiiiiiig picnic with tons of different kinds of food.   Do you like pinup art/images? I covered this in my questionnaire but: YES! I love pinup art! My parents got me a calendar of pinup art for Christmas last year and I really wish I had a book of pinup art.   What are your plans for Halloween? Have you made any yet? Do you have any traditions? I don't really have any Halloween traditions. I used to go trick-or-treating but I don't anymore and my area is not so great for trick or treating anyway. I'll probably just stay in and give out candy to the 2 people who come to my house. I was thinking about going to the Dethklok and Mastodon concert that's coming to my area on Halloween but I probably won't end up going.   Who are your BPAL forum buddies? You know, people I could conspire with to Witch you! The people who come to mind first are sirensea (My witch from last round) and chimera87. But I talk to Dark Alice more than other people on this forum and I consider her a friend. I'm always afraid of calling people (especially people I don't know irl) fiends because I'm afraid they don't think of me the same way and it would lead to awkwardness. /insecurity   You're in the kitchen at the end of a pay period and groceries are pretty scarce. Do you take the five ingredients you find first and make something fabulous, or do you order take out? A lot of times the fallback "we don't have any food" meal is pasta with a mixed veggie (whatever we have) sauce-type thing with olive oil and garlic. It's sort of hard to explain I guess but it's very tasty.   Do you believe in magic (or magick, if you prefer)? What does it mean to you? This a really hard question to answer. Magic, to me, is when a person directs his or her energy towards a certain purpose. And I suppose I believe that how people concentrate their energy can have an impact. I don't do any formal magic (like rituals or anything) but I have been known to attempt to focus my energy.   If you could decorate/redecorate any 1 room in your home, what would it be and how would you decorate it? My choice of redecoration would be my room. And I think I covered in my questionnaire how I'd decorate.   Any rabid sports fans out there? what teams do you root for? I'm not really a sports person   What's your favorite animal? (you can have more than one.) SNAILS! my number one favorite are snails. I also like frogs.   This is how the world ends... zombie apocalypse, robot uprising, alien invasion, return of the elder gods... which doomsday scenario do you prefer (or make your own!)? Yeep. I don't want the world to end! I enjoy reading about zombie apocalypse type things but I would be terrified if such a thing were to happen. However, I really enjoyed The Stand by Stephen King and I often think about how I would try to survive if suddenly millions of people died out.   In the year 2525... if man is still alive... what sort of future do you imagine? hmmm, that's another tough one. I am actually kind of paranoid about people becoming too dependent on machines and AI. So, a super technology filled future would be cool but also scary (to me). So I really don't know...   Favorite Halloween candy: mini Krackel bars. all the mini Hershey's bars really. I also like Skittles and sour gummy worms. (Gummi worms are kind of hard to give out for Halloween though.)   If you found the puzzle box from Hellraiser, what would you do with it? ( and would you be able to resist playing with it?) I have no idea what that is. I've never seen/read/whatever Hellraiser. I am interested now though.   Phobias: when people open car doors while the car is moving (I once yelled at my boyfriend because he did that when I wasn't expecting ), I don't like using electric mixers or being in elevators (I'm not claustrophobic, I'm okay with other enclosed spaces. I just really don't like using elevators). The sound of balloons popping used to make me cry. I still don't like it but I'm better about it now.   Favorite flowers: If you were giving me a bouquet, my favorites are white roses and tiger-lilies. If we're talking real, live plants: orchids... If I think of any more I'll add them in.   Any cooks? Could you use anything cooking related? Aprons? Cookbooks? Measuring Cups? Recipes? Herb/Spice containers? Fancy Spices? Dish Towels? I've only ever had one job. And now that the company's tanking and they had to lay off 80% of their staff (including me) I need to find another one. That job was at a plant nursery and store. It was fun. I met some awesome people there and learned a lot about houseplants (that was the department I worked in).   What GC scent have you been putting off getting since it'll "always be there"? Oh man. There are a ton of these. My orders are almost always only or mostly LE. Which is bad because I'm freaking out since there have been a bunch of discontinuations lately. I really need a new bottle of Xiuhtecuhtli since I ruined mine a while back. And bottles of TKO, Depraved, The Bow and Crown of Conquest, and De Sade since I really love them and only have imps. I also keep meaning to buy a bottle of Snake Oil to cellar for a good long time. sorry there are so many different question entries. blame it on the emoticon limit...   Yule update: omg... too soon! I haven't even gotten all the Weenies I want and I already have no money! I expect the Yule update to have a good amount of 'need it' things and the Storyville line is going to be way hard to resist. I hope it's permanent! Then there are the anniversary and resurrected scents. AND possibly the CD update?!? Can my witch send me a money tree so I can harvest BPAL monies? I'll only use it for good I promise! I'll buy everybody lots of BPAL gifties with the money I harvest... *gets lost in daydream of all the BPALs and giving them to forum friends*   Stationary: sure!   Shoes: eh, my shoes are some crappy sneakers from target that are falling apart. I have some cute heels that I never wear. It seems odd to me to wear them on a regular basis and I have almost no other time to wear them.   Are there any languages other than english that you love? Would you like any books, music, movies, or other gifts in that language? I don't like English, really. I love the way French sounds and loved it when I was taking classes. I also like Japanese and Russian. (Both of which I've taken classes in and sucked at.) I do have the first Harry Potter book in Japanese that a friend brought back from her trip there. I have no hope of reading it but it's pretty cool.   Do you use henna at all (hair or skin)? I'm not bothering to put any on my w/l since I don't think there's a place to get it reliably. I know the Soap Box Co. is closing for Oct. and they didn't have much Haunt in the first place. And right now you can get it from the website direct but I don't think you can all the time.   Home-made goodies? yes!!   Newest BPAL update: I have already expressed my sadness over the loss of De Sade. But as for things I want... Raven Moon sounds quite good. And I really want the Pa-Pow scent. New GC things that sound good are: The Black Rider, The Red Rider, The White Rider, The Chicken-Legged Hut (it just sounds so... weird. I want to try it! ), Baba-Yaga, El Dorado. Less so: The little Wooden Doll (I'm a bit worried about the "rose-infused" part) and Vasilissa (if the jasmine behaves itself)   Scarves: I love them! I only end up wearing them in the winter but... it's almost winter so it works out!   Disney: eh...   What movies do you want to see that are at the cinema? The Invention of Lying looks good. My boyfriend really wants to see Zombieland and I'm kinda neutral so I'll probably end up seeing it.   Fruitcake? Never tried it, but would be willing to.   Bacon? I've always been curious about bacon chocolate. I'd like to give it a try. Other than that, I don't think I've actually had good bacon. I have discovered (thanks to Dark Alice, the bestest coffee elf ever!) that Peaberry coffee is delicious.   I'm starting to really wish I had a BPAL shirt... so as to better facilitate the finding of other BPALers. Not that I expect my witch to get me one, they're kind of expensive. I know what's going on my Christmas list.   I wish I knew how to crochet or knit.   I've been loving my collection of rocks and stone lately. It makes me want to add more shineys! The only rock I really don't like is malachite.   Twilight and I don't get along.

What color are your eyes? Blue   If you had to choose a color for a nightie to sleep in what color would it be? oh my... Black is usually my favorite/default color for these sorts of things but I also like blue (light and dark), red (the darker the better) and purple.     Since everyone is spending the same amount of money on this swap, would you be interested in seeing the cost breakdown of each item in your package? If you want to tell me, that's fine but I don't feel the need to know otherwise. I know you're putting a lot of time and effort into witching me and that's what matters.   Villainess update? I'm drooling over The Truffle Trade (I had a bar of it before and ) and Raspberry Swirl.   Do you like guessing who your witch is, or would you prefer to know? Do you mind knowing? I usually don't try to guess mid round. But I always like my witch to reveal!   If it's going to be obvious who your witch is, would you rather she played the ninja and sent one big box at the end, or smaller packages along the way? However you want to play it is fine with me.   Are you opposed to vegan baked goods? Or baked goods in general? Any baked goods will be gladly accepted be me and my family (I'm generous like that lol) Vegan is fine. I'm not vegan but I'm not opposed to vegan recipes. Please tell me if the recipe isn't vegetarian though (contains gelatin, lard, or some other animal product) because while I am not a vegetarian, my mother is.   Lip balm: Yay or nay? If yay, what are your favorite kinds (brands, consistency, whatever)? Yes yes and more yes! (gotta watch those parabens though...) I don't like sticky or overly gloopy lip balms/glosses, waxy is also not good. I have a Bunny Butt lip balm and I like it a lot. I'd like another/more and I'd like to try their lip tints. I would love to be enabled to more!   How do you feel about home-canned goods, like pickles, jelly, preserves, stuff like that. Jelly or preserves would be great. I don't like pickles though.   Favorite flower? White rose. second? tiger lily.   For those that have dogs, if I were to knit them a sweater, what colour would you like it to be? my dog is okay sweaterless thanks.   Hair stuff his would be awesome! I can always use more hair clips (the claw clip kind with rubber stuff inside to keep your hair in is best) and ponytail holders.   OPI Alice minis sure   Tiny cute things: love them! I have a fondness for tiny cute things... I used to have an American Girl Doll and I'd play with all her accessories and stuff more than with the actual doll. I'm totally loving the thermometer necklace and chocolate donut necklace (and the apple core keychain)   How do you feel about handmade stuffed animals? so, so, so, so awesome!   Are there any accessories you'd really like? (Keychains, little purses, etc.) both keychains and little purses would be put to good use! I also love little boxes and bags/pouches.   Is there anything you've had to give up that you really miss or want back? Maybe something a witch could help out with? BPAL-wise: I regret swapping my bottle of Visiting the Temple of Auspicious Fortune Alone on the Winter Solstice. I thought "Oh I never wear this" and swapped it out. I have a decant back now but I miss my bottle (I know it sounds silly). And it wasn't really giving it up but I managed to ruin a perfectly aged bottle of Xiuhtecuhtli by my own stupidity. (I'll tell you the story if you want.) I've been slowly swapping for imps of it but I haven't had the extra money to make a lab order so I haven't gotten another bottle of it. It's one of my absolute favorites and I'm living in constant fear that it will get discon'ed and I'll be SOL. (okay, that sounds a bit overdramatic but you catch my drift, yes?)   As for other areas of my life... hmmm I'll have to think about that.   What are your favorite animals? snails (squee!), frogs, dolphins, horses   If you like tea, what are your favorite kinds? That my mom would stop having migraines. Or at least they would figure out how to get them under control. She's tried literally everything (that we can think of) and nothing works.   Are there any books you particularly want to read that you don't mind being 2nd hand? I don't mind any books being second hand. I'm really wishing that I had a full set of the Kushiel's Dart, etc. series. I had them all at one point and have read them all but I loaned the first few to an ex at one point and never got them back when we broke up.

Valentine's Shotgun Round part 1

What is everyone's take on Valentine's Day? If I'm in a relationship I usually like to have a nice romantic night together. Maybe have a nice dinner or something. I'm currently single so I don't know what I'll be doing. Maybe I'll treat myself to some nice candy and a romantic evening with myself.   Do you like traditional Valentine's Day colors (red, pink, white, more?) ? Red's okay. Especially dark red. Pink and white I don't really care either way. Purple is sometimes a Valentine's color right? I really like purple. Black is my favorite color though.   favorite semi-obscure animal? SNAILS! I love them so! (are they obscure? I don't care!) People think I'm so odd for my snail love but I don't care It all started when I rescued a snail with a cracked shell from a plant when I used to work at a plant store/nursery. I took hir home and nursed hir back to health. (did you know snails are hermaphrodites? you do now! ) Now I have a giant snail stuffed animal and a snail t-shirt and my mom got me snail earrings for christmas and I love anything and everything snail themed.   Favorite sign spring is coming: days getting longer, weather getting warmer (I really hate cold weather! Cool is good, cold is very not good!)   Hand-knitted things?: yes! That would be super awesome! I would feel so special if my witch hand-knitted something (or had something knitted) special just for me! On the note of knitted things, something very useful my witch could knit for me would be a coffee cup holder. The Starbucks on my campus is always out of cardboard sleeves and I'd love to be able to provide my own sleeve even when they do have them so as to waste less cardboard.   favorite kind of love story: I'll admit I love the sappy romance where the people involved have to overcome some sort of hardship but everything works out in the end and they live happily ever after. I'm the kind of person that tends to put myself in the story and imagine whatever's happening to the characters to be happening to me so if it's a horribly bittersweet ending I'll be imagining I'll never be able to see my true love again be I will always be able to feel their love for me when I stare out at the sea at sunset and see the light on the waves. And knowing me that actually will make me sad until I remember that that's not actually the case and I haven't found my true love anyway so I have nobody to lose at sea yet.   Would anyone like receiving naughty/sexy things? Yes please! Was there some chatter about personalized romance novels? That sounds awesome! I would love to read myself in a book! I guess you'd say I'm pretty kinky but I don't know how kinky you can get for $28. Feel free to be creative!   'nother Q - the Qaire mentioned used books, but what about used CDs, DVDs, etc. sure! as long as it's not too beat up.   Do you need any accessories for your phone, computer, mp3 player, etc? I have an ipod classic and I could use some kind of cover or case or screen protector for it. I usually like cases/covers that are pretty thin. If it's too clunky I probably won't use it. I like the sleek silicone cases but it doesn't have to be like that.   For those of you with pets, would you like pet things? Toys, treats, etc? My pets are pretty well set I think.   Interested in receiving gifts representative of Witch's country or culture? Sure! Summer '09 SW round: extra questions

What kinds of crafts does everyone either enjoy making or enjoy getting? Do you have a certain type of handmade item that you love to collect? Socks, boxes, jewelry, dolls etc? About the only crafty thing I can make is beaded jewelry... which all the people I've made it for seem to like so, awesome.   As for crafty things I like to get... whooo boy, I could go on. A BPAL box would rock my proverbial socks. The ones I have now are boring. I love knitted and crocheted things: socks, hats, scarves, arm/hand warmers, etc. To echo bubblefish, homemade bath & body stuff is awesome!! Like scrubs, lotion, massage bars, soap, body wash/shower gel. However I do not have access to a bath tub so bath bombs and other bathtub-exclusive bath goodies are out. Jewelry also gets a big thumbs up in my book.   Clearly, vegans are not into soaps with honey or milk, etc. But, if you're not a vegan how would you feel about soaps made with emu oil? Squicked out/concerned about animal cruelty, or willing to try them? (The woman I buy them from uses the whole emu. She sells the meat, sells the feathers, and uses the oil to make soap.) I'm cool with soap made with milk, honey, emu oil (that sounds interesting)... yeah.   Are there any of the BPTP bath oils you adore (particularly ones that you cannot get anymore). What about the room sprays? I've never tried any any of the bath oils but I'd really like to try Luxuria and Castitas. (I know, they're the ones you can get all the time, I've just never gotten around to it.)   As for atmosphere spray, my favorite that I've tried so far is Goblin of Yuletide Present. I really like Doc. Constantine's Medicine Show too (I'm out of that one, actually), and I'd like to try Okiya and Cathouse at some point.   I know you didn't mention the massage oils but I've had my eye on the TKO massage oil for quite some time now.......   How would you feel about an ultra-girlie shawl or wrap in summer-weight (lace)? wow! Those are beautiful! I would love to own one of those. (I would just have to keep it in my room, out of the reach of cat claws >.< )   what would you think of hand-dyed items? I don't usually go for tie-dye so much but those are cool. (Especially the black/green/yellow one on that page.) Though if someone had hand dyed it especially for me, I would me much more inclined to wear/use the item in question.   So, I hear you don't like lacy wraps! How do you feel about hand-knit socks? Socks are lovely and I would feel quite honored if someone knitted some just for me   How many potential witchees have an iPod, or download MP3s? I have an iPod Nano, and buy some tunes from time to time. I still have a butt-ton of CDs that need to be burned into my computer, I just haven't gotten around to it. I got a new iPod recently... and it's far too big for me. You see, I wanted a Classic. And the Classics only come in 120 GB apparently. *grumble* So some awesome mix CDs or something of the sort would be greatly appreciated.

Summer '09 SW round: extra questions Part 2

Would anyone like bath bombs or bath melts scented with one of their favorite Bpal scents? I do these for myself sometimes and find them to be quite enjoyable. I don't have access to a bathtub unfortunately... but I am on a huuuuuge scented soap kick right now and I would love soap scented with BPAL!   Would you like homemade cinnamon buns or sticky buns? yes, yes, and more yes!   Is there anyone here that likes Hello Kitty or any other Sanrio Characters? not really...   Do you play any online games, like World of Warcraft? If so, what server do you play on, what's your character's name, etc.? I used to play FFXI but it got too expensive...   Is there a program you might have missed or show you love which is gone from the airwaves which might be found (or burned) for you by a Witch? Ohh! Six Feet Under! I got, like, halfway through the series before my Netflix subscription got canceled and now I hardly remember any of it since it's been so long since I've seen it. But I loved it.   Would you like any recycle/upcycle supplies for your crafting? The only crafty sort of thing I do is bead, so I would love beads.   Ok, for all you shower people, would you like BPAL scented soap? I'm out of soap stuff right now, but if I can get any anytime soon, would that be something that you'd like? Or how about BPAL scented massage bars or solid scrub bars?   Soap, soap, soap! yes, please! I've never tried a massage bar but I've been wanting some LUSH ones for a while, so a BPAL one would be awesome!   Basically any bath & body thing that isn't bathtub exclusive will be most appreciated and well-loved.   If you were to make a seasonal mix CD for this summer, what would you name it? Probably something boring like "Summer Music Mix" or something like that. I'm not very creative when it comes to being clever with titles and such.   Do you collect dolls or miniatures? newp.   Are there any single notes (likely non bpal) that anyone is dying to have/try?   For wearing: Neroli, Patchouli, Honeysuckle, and Sandalwood and Red Musk come to mind. A lot of my "love" notes on my note likes and dislikes list would probably have SNs floating around out there that wouldn't be too hard to track down.   For sniffing: I would find it very helpful to smell many, many SNs since I usually have a hard time picking out specific notes in blends.   My fiance sent me an early dvd rip of Coraline that he was given (pretty sure it's not been released yet, but I sometimes have a hard time keeping up) and I was wondering if anyone would like a copy of it?   I never saw it but my sister would probably like it...   net flick or the likes gift subscriptions? A month of Netflicks vs a DvD?   I used to have Netflix and didn't use it all that much. I usually just run up to Blockbuster when I'm in the mood to watch something. I'd rather get a DVD of something you think I'd like than a subscription.   Are you in need of decanting supplies, wand caps, or other scent-related paraphernalia?   yes to wand caps! always yes! I have enough pipettes for now but I could use more roller bottles. Also, imp sized vials to decant into. I would definitely love some of those.   As for Carnaval stuff...   I think my favorites right now are Mme. Moriarty (aged of course), Agrat-Bat-however-you-spell-it, Doc. Constantine... hmmm... Zarita has a place in my heart. I just got myself a bottle of Inez and I think she has some potential but I think she need some age on her first. I have a bottle of The Illustrated Woman but I have yet to test it. (I know, I know! The horror!)   There's sooooo much of the Carnaval I haven't tried and want to. (just look at my wishlist ) I'm sloooowly working my way down the list.   When I read descriptions of the prototype of Alley of Games I did squee pretty loud. It sounds like just the sort of thing I'd like. And the sword swallower teaser art? That's the sort of art that makes you buy a bottle of the perfume no matter what it smells like.   Does your feline like catnip? yesssss   Salt soap bars (soap made with a large quantity of salt, like salt-scrub-in-a-bar)? yes! that sounds wonderful!   How would you feel about homemade jelly/jam from home-grown berries? :)   Homemade dill pickles? Made from cukes, beans, snap peas, baby zucchini? I don't really like pickles...   Would it bother you if you are not the first person to receive the same gift? Imagine a Witch who always sends her favourite book, for example.   If it's something I'd like then secondhand gifts are welcomed and loved! icon_biggrin.gif   Pets: What do you have, and do they need/want anything?   8 cats and a dog. They're pretty set for now. The cats just play with stuff around the house so they don't really need special toys or anything. My poor dog is too old and arthritic to get any enjoyment out of toys and such. Poor thing.   Steampunk jewelry? Yes.   Twilight? not so much...   Tea. How do you feel about it?   I like it. Though I usually think I'll drink more than I'll end up drinking, if that makes any sense. I'd love to try some new styles/flavors/kinds/brands. I usually like fruit flavors or spices, but I'm open to pretty much anything.   what is your favorite anime, or if you don't like that what is your favorite animated series?   I'm not really into anime. I used to be a lot more than I am now. (I still go to Otakon though, and I'm going again this year.)   ETA: anime series I used to watch a lot: DNAngel... erm, I think that's about it actually. My sister is a HUUUGE Full Metal Alchemist fanatic fan and my friend used to love Fruits Basket so I saw it all thanks to her.   Cowboy Bebop was pretty good too.
