SW Q&A: Hallowe'en Round 2010

10/9/10 I came home with some Dungeon Crawl and some Bedbugs yesterday. If you were my witchee, would you want some of either/both? Yes! A millionty times over!!   10/7/10 Did you forget anything fun/interesting or find something new and exciting? I think I have everything anyone could possibly want to know about me answered in this blog or on my questionnaire, really!   10/5/10 Would you like to receive international magazines, even if you don't speak the language it's written in, just to ogle the pictures or for the novelty of it? If yes, what kind of magazines, or what magazines in particular? I'm not one for magazines. I don't like the idea of paper.   would you have interest in any of the new Christmas stuff from Lush? No thanks, Lush isn't really my bag.   Oh, witchee-poo... if there was one bottle you could have from the NYCC exclusives, what would it be? The Elephantine Colossus, or The White Lady of Durand-Eastman Park   If someone were to make you one of the items in this post which would it be? If you were my witchee, would you mind a gift certificate where you'd have to do it old school style and mail it in with your order form? That sounds awesome!!   10/4/10 Do you have a preferred weight of yarn to work in? Lace, sock, worsted, bulky, handspun with variation? N/A   Anyone like little seasonal decorative wreaths? Like gravevine wreaths embellished with silk flora, etc.? No thanks.   Do any witchees need a Snuggie? I have a bathrobe, I can turn it backwards if I need to.   10/01/10 So, who here loves pomegranates? Are the good as a fruit, a flavoring or just a scent? The fruit is awesome and I love it, flavouring is not so great, and as a scent I can have trouble pulling it off.   Haunt Update? I LOVE HAUNT!!! I'm a sad panda that I couldn't get Batik, but I did get Seer, Gloaming and a Lavender Spice Tea Lip Lust!! (I've been craving that lip lust since LAST hallowe'en.)   9/30/10 Villainess has an update. Anyone wanting anything from it? No thanks.   How are all the witchees fixed for purses--lunchbags, etc? I love market bags, and giant purses, but lately I've been hankering for a beaded clutch.   Now, I have a question for you. About notes. Which are your favourite ones? Do you have a kind of "note top ten?" Anything that works particularly well on you? Do you have a perfume category (foody, floral, aquatic, musky) that you favour? And are there any notes you have never tried, but think would work well on you?   Top Ten Notes: 1.) Musk (all kinds usually)/Patchouli (it's a tie) 2.) Vanilla 3.) Amber 4.) Tobacco 5.) Lilac 6.) Myrrh 7.) Lavender 8.) Woods 9.) Honey 10.) Booze I usually do well with "orientals" or "musks" or usually "woods" too. Sugar can be problematic, I tend to make it go to maple syrup or caramel. Rose I usually turn to cat pee/ammonia, and jasmine amps to high heaven on me.   Would you like a sugar skull decorated by your witch? Or do you like sugar skull stuff in general? I'm not really a fan of skulls.   9/29/10 Is there one scent that is your goto for comfort on a bad stressful day? Like the perfume equivilent of a security blankie? Pumpkin IV 09, O, Sachs, Romanti.Goth, Joyful Moon   What are you going to be for Halloween? Nadda. We're not celebrating this year.   Is there something just super random you like/enjoy/want/are ogling that has not been and will not be covered by any other questions, because it's just that WEIRD? Hmmm... excellent question. No, I think I've summed everything up on wishlists etc.   9/25/10 If you could make a scent that represents where you live (or have lived), what would be the ingredients? The time I spent at University in Guelph: Patchouli and incense (for the hippies), parchment and books (for the studying), clove cigarettes (for the time I spent with my goth friends), a hint of scotch (for the time I spent bartending)and a light musk.   Are you in need of Roller bottles or anything of the like? Nope, good here too!!   9/24/10 Just curious, but if your witch was to make an amigurumi critter (or other plushie) just for you, what would it be? I'm talking like "semi" precious stones, ie moonstone, bloodstone, quartz ect. Are there any that you're looking for at the moment? Are you in need of a stone but don't know which kind? I love moonstone, it's one of my favourites. So is quartz. I'd be up for whatever my witch wanted to send, but I guess if we're talking about for a purpose, anything for a safe, healthy pregnancy?   9/22/10 Do you have a deviantart print wishlist or favourites list? Nope.   Is there anything from Blooddrop that you want to try? GC? Halloween update? Nope, I'm good here too!   What kind of shoes do you need/want? What size shoes do you wear? Would you mind gently used shoes? I'm set for shoes thanks!   Do you like paper dolls (new or vintage) or coloring in books? The British Blondes!!!!!   If you could get any one thing hand-painted from your witch, what would it be and what would be on it? Honestly? I would LOVE anything hand-painted from my witch!   Would you (assumin' you're a yarnie) be interested in a naturally-dyed yarn that's designed to very gradually fade with washing? Not a yarnie.   If you have played before, what are some of the most memorable things you've gotten? What really made you go WOW? If you haven't played, same thing, but not limited to SW. Lessee, I got an AMAZING scarf from Babyduo from the first round. I wear that thing ALL. THE. TIME. It's a stunning shade of green and black. I love it.   9/21/10 Do you like garlic? Do you REALLY like garlic? Would you want to try some really unusual garlic stuff, like garlic cheese or garlic fudge or garlic chocolate, etc., etc., etc.? I do like garlic. Love it actually. My friends have actually referred to me as a garlic whore. But I've been having some trouble with it lately.   Can I talk to you about the living dead? How do you feel about Zombies? I am scared shitless of zombies. Terrified even. Zombie Apocalypse is possibly the most frightening end I can think of. I can't watch zombie movies, or even tv shows. It's kind of ridiculous really. But I have to sleep on the side of the bed farthest from the door. In case a zombie breaks in.   I'm not joking.     9/20/10 If you happened to be my Witchee, is there something you'd like from the Arcana Halloween update? I'm not really into Arcana, but if there's something you think I'd like, go for it!   How many bottles of BPAL do you have? More than 50 but less than 100.   Is there any exercise program that you're interesting in learning? Meditation, Yoga, Pilates, Belly Dancing, Zumba ect? Elastics, clips and barrettes are aways welcome.   Does any art we may send need to be child safe, either in the actually safe sense or the non X rated sense? Go nuts!!   In the knitted/crocheted things area, would you want wrist warmers, 1/2 gloves, a neck warmer(the kind that pretty much just goes around your neck and maybe fastens instead of being long and loose like a scarf), slippers, or hats? Love all of this! 1/2 gloves and neckwarmers especially!   How do you feel about altered/recycled/upcycled items of clothing or accessories? Sure!!   Is there anything you want from the Violette Market update? Nah!   What is your favourite habitat and climate to live in? How about to visit? (ie. forest, canyons, mountains, by the beach; temperate, tropical...) I love old towns, places with history. I love to be able to feel how old a place is, and be blown away by it. This also goes for beaches, forests, mountains etc.   What do you wish you could make/craft if you had the know-how and supplies? Specifically, which particular items? N/A. A short one, that when wrapped once around your neck will just tuck under your jacket, or a long one, at least to your waist? I love all kinds of scarves!!! My favourites are vanilla and chais.   9/15/10 How do you feek about silly, funny knick-knack, dollar store stuff, stickers, magnets etc? Would you like receiving that kind of stuff or rather not? No thanks.   Is there a specific book you've been wanting to get but haven't found the time or the opportunity to? Come, Thou Tortoise   Do you read mangas/watch animes? Which ones? Do you have a particular favourite? Would you like to receive managas or anything related to them? Not really, no.   Are you open to receiving things that are not on your wishlist, maybe something your Witch thinks you might like? Yes!!! I would love for my Witch to send something that s/he thinks I may like!   If you have something on a wishlist that we could craft INSTEAD of buying, though it might not end up identical to the wishlist thing, would it be okay to craft it instead? Obviously we don't want to copy anyone else's design, but if we can replicate the flavour or intent that you like without stepping on toes? Of course!   OK, I know that lots of folks love socks. I like anklets, OTK, Knee Highs, and Fuzzy!!!!   How do people feel about word magnets Sure!   If you could have any costume, or if you aren't into costumes, necklace or other accessory, from any movie character, what would it be? River's blue dress in the fight scene in the bar in Serenity.   How do you feel about samples/decants of things other than BPAL? Soap slices, lotion/scrub/shower gel decants, single use make-up/beauty products, etc. Sure!   What are you guys going to be aiming for in the Inquisition? Or do you just plan on ordering individual items? I want Tricksy Bath Oil soooooo bad!   9/14/10 Chocolate or other types of candy? I love dark chocolate, fleur de sel caramels, and any combination of salty & sweet.   For tea drinkers, do you prefer loose leaf or tea bags? I like both!!   If you would enjoy something of a knitted persuasion, do you have a preference on type of thing? Since making a scarf for someone who has 10 might be a smidge excessive? Also, how do people feel about shawls? I don't feel 10 scarfs are excessive. I'm of the "never enough scarves" persuasion. Scarves, and shawls are absolutely awesome!   Is there a TV, movie or literary character that you are a lot alike, or would like to be alike? I wanna grow up and be like Pam from True Blood.   Is there anything you need for your kitchen, ie measuring cups, spoons, grater, ect? I'm set kitchen-wise!   Music, DO you prefer Live or Studio? Edited or explicit? I prefer Studio unless I was at the live show in question, and I'm not one for censoring music.   If you are an animal lover, is there a specific type/breed that you love most? I'm an animal lover in general, but I'm not overly enamoured with any particular breed/species.   Also flowers and plants- If you like flowers/plants, do you have a favorite(s)? This just makes me crack up every time I read it.     What is a bpal scent that you've been dying to try for awhile but just can't find? (A scent where even a tester would do) Noir. Yes you can laugh at that. Also, really any of the impossibles on my wishlist.   Let's say, hypothetically speaking, that you have some children/spawn (1 or more), and, hypothetically speaking, your witch would like to spoil them a little but knows nothing of kids these days. What do they like or dislike? Also is there anything a (sane) adult might think they would like that you don't think is appropriate for whatever reason? (I'm thinking of things like temp tattoos, make up, things that make noise, or anything else that might be bad for non-obvious reasons.) This does not apply to moi!   Is there anything you would like that can be delivered over the internet? Things like fanfic recs, cat macros, mp3s you are looking for, how-to or amusing videos, things like that I LOVE macros! Fanfic doesn't really interest me, but everything else, sure!   What would your last meal be if it could be anything in the world (sky is the limit, drinks too, the whole shebang) I have no idea. I think it would really depend on the day!   NaNoWriMo? Nope.   9/13/10 what interests you from the latest lab update? The Dawn scents don't really interest me, rose can do funky things with my skin chemistry. But Pom's III through V are calling my name and I neglected to get decants of them when I signed up for my weenies!!   How do you feel about stationery, like nice pens or notepaper? And if you're in favor, do you prefer classic/contemporary or cutesy stuff? I love stationary, but I tend to like the classic/contemporary rather than cutesy.   Would you like homemade preserves (e.g. marinated vegies, pickled onions, chilli jam?) Not one for preserves.   If you've got stuff on your BPAL wishlist, would partial bottles be okay? Partials would rock my socks!   Would you like something you have to make yourself? Honestly? Although I love the combo of sweet and salty, for some reason the idea of chocolate and bacon together makes me giggy. (I realize this is a madeup word, and Witch, please know I tend to do that.. but for reference giggy = squick, grossed out, unsettled or uncomfortable.)   If you are a tea-drinker do you need a tea-cozie for your pot? Neither, I have no allegiences when it comes to technology.   Where was your last vacation? What did you like most? We went on our honeymoon on a Mediterranean cruise. My favourite part was exploring the Greek Island of Santorini. We wandered around Fira for the afternoon, and walked up the donkey trail. It was the most amazing day. I had a real Greek Salad on a rooftop taverna. I think it was the best day I ever had (aside from my wedding day).   Would you appreciate receiving handwritten letters and/or postcards (anonymous or not)? How about sending them? If we're talking actual food? Then YES! I LOVE FOOD! Husband and I go out at least twice a month to one of the many nice restaurants in town. I'm pretty much the furthest thing from a sports fan. Husband is the same.   For holidays, do you decorate? Would you like decorative stuff, weenie or otherwise? If so, do you lean towards the elegant, the crafty/folksy, or the more, erm, campy? I only decorate for Yule/Christmas. We tend towards the elegant in our house, and the colours are red and gold.   Do you like journals/notebooks/sketchbooks? What is everyone's take on Valentine's Day? My family celebrated. Mom always got us chocolates or something little like that. She and Dad exchanged gifts (small ones) too. But in my own relationships I never really celebrated. That sounds weird right? I'll still call my family and wish them a Happy Valentines Day, but my husband and I will celebrate an anti-Valentines Day at the house and eat pizza and watch horror movies. I can't articulate it very well, but I think I have a hang up about forced holidays? I don't know. UGH, my brain's not working tonight.   Do you like traditional Valentine's Day colors (red, pink, white, more?) ? Hrmmm...
