condom-mints for current SW round

Would you want an invite to a site that is invite-only ex. Diaspora, Demonoid, etc. If so, what? No idea what those are so hard to tell. I guess it would depend on if the content was something I was interested in.   Pillows? What size/designs/colors would most interest you? Not much of a pillow person, but if my Witch is crafty and wants to make a pillow it would be loved and happily displayed. I enjoy Celtic, Art Nouveau, and Impressionist imagery.   purses? bags? What style/colors? Pretty much OK in that area   Decorative scarves for hair and/or creative accessorizing? What colors? Love scarves and various hair toys. Colors can be all over the rainbow because a small amount of any color usually looks great with most of my mostly neutral wardrobe. I love hair clips, and regularly think good thoughts toward whoever invented the little claw clips.   Would you like anything from Starring Fragrances. They make awesome hair stuff, natural deoderant, and home fragrance (and a ton of other stuff, those are just my favs)? My only fragrance thing is BPAL.   For those who like lipgloss, lipstick, tinted balms, etc, what colors do you wear (and warm? cool?) and do you prefer something sheer or more opaque? How do you feel about shimmer? Don't wear any of that, absolutely can't stand the feel. I am kind of curious about lip stain, and would go for a matt dark red in that.   Are there any fancy/gourmet/special herbs or spices that you'd love to receive? ie: good quality vanilla or other extracts, vanilla beans, saffron, lavender, etc. I LOVE spices and would absolutely love and use any fancy/gourmet spices, herbs or salts.   What's your favorite animal? Or is there one that's particularly significant to you? do dragons count? Cats are good too.   If you were able to get a vintage or prototype bottle from the upcoming West Coast Will Call, which one would you want? Keeping eyes firmly shut on that so don't know. I haven't been able to keep up on any of new stuff for quite a while c/o $ issues. A sniffie of anything new would be fun, but not necessary.   DVDs, Blu-Ray, both, neither? DVDs good, no Blu-Ray   Sock Dreams? What kind? (anklets, footies, etc.?) Recently had to resume wearing sox--don't really like shoes or sox, but gotta do what you gotta do--Foot is Woman's size 9-11depending on cut. Favor Anklet, or slouchy style.   Since this is a price capped round, would you rather get one "big" thing or lots of "little" things or don't care? Whatever works for my Witch is great!   Do you like pirate-related things? Does Johnny Depp count? If so please send him directly in a large crate with appropriate holes for breathing. Pirate clothing optional. Other pirate related things--kind of depends on what it is.   Soaps? Be specific: if there are BPAL soaps you want to try or are dying for more of, tell all here! Also, any other companies people like or love? Villainess, maybe? Or Lush? What flavors??? Not much for designer soaps.   What periods of art do you love most? Like, if someone was going to get you a tapestry or a box or some other item, what period would you want it to most resonate with? the pinks and golds of Rococo? the clean geometry of Art Deco? The romanticism of Art Nouveux? The strange lines of Cubism? Love Impressionism and Art Nouveau. Steampunk is cool.   Would you like caffeinated lollipops?: http://www.lollyphil...cks-caffeinated These sound fun!   Copied CD's or DVD's? sure.   I'm going to Disneyland in a couple of weeks, is there anything I can get you? No thanks.   Booze? Yay or Nay? what kinds? I like booze, but don't think it is supposed to go through the mail. Hard alcohol rather than wine, and dark microbrews in beer.   Steampunk inspired items? Yay or nay? Yay!   Do you like amurigami dolls? Depends on what it is.   Pirates vs Ninjas vs Zombies - who wins? Which do you love most? It depends on what you are doing with them   Do you like wearing things in your hair? If so, what kind (snap clips, scrunchie, headband, etc), how big & crazy (lowkey, bigger the better), and colors. Love most kinds and colors of hairtoys, with possible exception of headbands because they slide off and give me headaches.   Piercings? - ears?? - elsewhere? ears.   Chocolate. With stuff in it? Are you more a plain chocolate lover, a chocolate and normal items lover (normal items being nuts, fruit, caramel) or do you like weird stuff in your chocolate? (weird stuff being curry, chilis, balsamic vinegar, floraly things) Chocolate is love! Favor dark, Normal stuff is good, weird stuff might be fun.   surprise! the world has given you the day off. You hear that, no chores, responsibilities, or budget you have to follow. What would you do in those 24 hours? Sleep late, eat something decadent, play with clay.   Do you have any blogs you regularly read? only political ones   Do you need another bpal box? If so what would your fantasy one look like? Boxes are always good.   Do you enjoy gardening? If so, what kind of stuff do you grow? Vegetables, flowers? Grow tomatoes, cucumbers, herbs, and flowers.   Social Networking sites: I'm on ravelry but never post, same with Live Journal   favourite artists or specific paintings? Lautrec, Van Gogh, Frazetta, O'Keeffe   how about mix CDs? Sure   Hey, how do folks feel about little e-goodies, like links to stuff your witchee likes? (articles online, pix, fic, etc) sure   Tim Tams? Yes or no? Chocolate Creme, Caramel, or Dark Chocolate? OH YES   Is there any "classic" literature (Hemingway, Dickens, Elliot, Bronte, Hugo, Wilde, etc.) that you would like to add to your collection? I need another copy of The Sun Also Rises   candles and/or aroma melts: yay or nay? NO thanks, bad for Bird.   Get your music player, what are the first 13 songs on Random? No music player. If I had one first songs would probably be by Leonard Cohen, Grateful Dead, Indigo Girls, Cowboy Junkies, Bob Dylan, David Bowie, Pink Martini,   Astrological charts and interpretation/ reports? Meh   So how does everyone feel about receiving ebooks? Maybe   Would you rather have HUGE list of things your witchee wants to try or just a highlight list? Huge list please-- fair is fair after all and I'm answering all these questions   Baked Goods? Yea Nay? Please!   If not Baked goods and you are changing eating habits..a book of recipes perhaps that will help the new eating lifestyle? Recipes are always fun   If you were to make an order RIGHT NOW (Not that any of you will make any bpal orders until SW is over, because you do NOT want to mess up any plans your witch might have!) What would you order (from lab, forum, DD, TradingPost, etc) Frumious Bandersnatch   What level of nudity are you fine with on items? Ex: none, tasteful, erotica No problem with nudity here   I know the ?airre asked about gently used books and if you like garage sales, but would you like other kinds of gently used items that may have come from a garage sale? Sure!   Do you like cooking seasonings, like the kind you can get in ounce sizes? If so, things you'd love to try out? Love seasonings, would happily try anything unusual.   Do you like any particular kinds of green or black teas or coffees that could also be gotten in bulk? I like black teas more than green, and coffee in dark to medium roast. Would happily try anything unusual or local, or that my Witch enjoys and wants to share.   Favorite snack foods (and can they be from bulk section as well?) I like nuts, mixes, chocolate of course, dried fruits, and am open to experimentation if my Witch has a favorite to share. Bulk section is fine.

Many condiments for Autumn 2010 Switchwitch

9/15/10 How do you feek about silly, funny knick-knack, dollar store stuff, stickers, magnets etc? Would you like receiving that kind of stuff or rather not? A Little is fun, too much is clutter.   Is there a specific book you've been wanting to get but haven't found the time or the opportunity to? It changes so often, cause books are something I spend $ on. Used is good too.   Do you read mangas/watch animes? Which ones? Do you have a particular favourite? Would you like to receive managas or anything related to them? Don't really get into it, although I like the darker end of the graphic novel stuff.   Are you open to receiving things that are not on your wishlist, maybe something your Witch thinks you might like? Completely fine--it wouldn't be fair otherwise since I am so bad about wishlists and stuff   If you have something on a wishlist that we could craft INSTEAD of buying, though it might not end up identical to the wishlist thing, would it be okay to craft it instead? Obviously we don't want to copy anyone else's design, but if we can replicate the flavour or intent that you like without stepping on toes? Yes!! I love other people's art/craft work, and something from my witch would be extra special.   OK, I know that lots of folks love socks. Do you have a preference of length? Materials? Patterns? Socks res OK, I'm not a sock fiend like some people. I like crew length that I can turn down into cuffs or scrunch down into slouches. Most fibers are OK. My feet are somewhere between woman's 9-10, but I have big calves--some of it is even muscle.   How do people feel about word magnets Cute in theory, but just more clutter in practice, If you could have any costume, or if you aren't into costumes, necklace or other accessory, from any movie character, what would it be? Can I have a lightsaber and license to use it---please can I....Please   How do you feel about samples/decants of things other than BPAL? Soap slices, lotion/scrub/shower gel decants, single use make-up/beauty products, etc. Samples are good, nonscented is best. What are you guys going to be aiming for in the Inquisition? Or do you just plan on ordering individual items? I've never done an inquisition(bad BPALer..no imps) And haven't even looked at the updates. Any stray $ is going to spoiling the witchee.     9/14/10 Chocolate or other types of candy? No candy corn, no marshmello peeps. Chocolate is a wonderful thing. Also caramel, peanut butter, honey, and gummi worms. Designer chocolate or unusual candy would be fun. Dried ginger with no added sugar is love.   For tea drinkers, do you prefer loose leaf or tea bags? either   If you would enjoy something of a knitted persuasion, do you have a preference on type of thing? If someone actually wants to make me a knitted thing I will love it no matter what it is.Since making a scarf for someone who has 10 might be a smidge excessive? Also, how do people feel about shawls? Can a person have too many scarves? Shawls are good too tho.   Is there a TV, movie or literary character that you are a lot alike, or would like to be alike?   Is there anything you need for your kitchen, ie measuring cups, spoons, grater, ect? I need to Clean my kitchen, but pretty well set for kitchen toys.   Music, DO you prefer Live or Studio? Edited or explicit? Studio, unedited If you are an animal lover, is there a specific type/breed that you love most? to admire or to live with?   Also flowers and plants- If you like flowers/plants, do you have a favorite(s)? Love plants and flowers. For houseplants I like spider plants and the variations of creeping charlie--mostly because they are hard to kill and my house is dark. For flowers I love old roses and the sweet peas. Do you have a favorite quotation? Song lyric? Book passage? WhateverthehecktheycalltheanonymousregionalwisdomthingiePROVERB! that word.   " There is a crack, a crack in everything. That's how the light gets in..." Leonard Cohen   "I am a part of all that I have met; Yet all experience is an arch wherethro’ Gleams that untravell’d world whose margin fades For ever and forever when I move. How dull it is to pause, to make an end, To rust unburnish’d, not to shine in use! As tho’ to breathe were life! Life piled on life Were all too little, and of one to me Little remains: but every hour is saved From that eternal silence, something more, A bringer of new things; and vile it were For some three suns to store and hoard myself, And this gray spirit yearning in desire To follow knowledge like a sinking star, Beyond the utmost bound of human thought. ...   Tho’ much is taken, much abides; and tho’ We are not now that strength which in old days Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are; One equal temper of heroic hearts, Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield. "   Ulysses, Alfred Lord Tennyson   What is a bpal scent that you've been dying to try for awhile but just can't find? (A scent where even a tester would do) I would almost not test something really rare, because I'm I would love it and I already love several discontinued scents--that said, any of the "standard" rares would be fun, as I have not tried any of them except Buck Moon--which I love unfortunately.   Let's say, hypothetically speaking, that you have some children/spawn (1 or more), and, hypothetically speaking, your witch would like to spoil them a little but knows nothing of kids these days. What do they like or dislike? Also is there anything a (sane) adult might think they would like that you don't think is appropriate for whatever reason? (I'm thinking of things like temp tattoos, make up, things that make noise, or anything else that might be bad for non-obvious reasons.)No Spawn thank the gods.   Is there anything you would like that can be delivered over the internet? Things like fanfic recs, cat macros, mp3s you are looking for, how-to or amusing videos, things like that. I am embarrassed to admit that i have no mp3 player, don't read fanfic, and have no idea what cat macros are.   What would your last meal be if it could be anything in the world (sky is the limit, drinks too, the whole shebang)   NaNoWriMo? nope   9/13/10 what interests you from the latest lab update? See above.   How do you feel about stationery, like nice pens or notepaper? And if you're in favor, do you prefer classic/contemporary or cutesy stuff? Sure, If I don't like it my partner might.   If you've got stuff on your BPAL wishlist, would partial bottles be okay? Don't actually expect any BPAL. If My witch chooses to send some I will be happy with either.   Would you like something you have to make yourself? Depends on what.   Say you were my witchee, and I found things on your wishlist that I could totally make. Would you want me to make it? Or would you rather it be purchased for you? Whatever works for the witch is fine with me--some people have little time to craft, some people have little money to spend--I am happy that my witch is thinking about me no matter the form.   Who is your favorite soap etailer? sorry have never tried designer soaps   What about vintage decoration items, teacups, etc etc? if it is just cute decor, probably not. If it has a significance to me of my witch that she wants to share that is different.   With regards to your gifts, would you prefer your presents' awesomeness evenly spread out (several packages of pretty terrific things) over the round or a slow build-up of awesomeness (going up from pretty cool things to something super-duper cool at the end) to go out with a bang? Do you have a preference? Spread out contact is nice so there is all that fun anticipation, but no preference as to what shows up when.   What kind of make-up do you wear? What colors? Is there anything you'd like to try but haven't yet? I have pale skin and usually go for the lightest possible powder, which is currently nutrogena organic wear. I always use mascara--black, L'oreal. other than that it is whatever I feel like at the moment, anything from nothing else to glitter eyeshadow. Don't spend a lot on makeup tho, and have not tried any of the high end stuff. I frequently go for minimal anyway, cause I'm just gonna forget and scratch my nose with clay on my hands anyway. Who would be on your top 5 (IE famous people you’d date/have relations with ) David Bowie, Vin Diesel, Leonard Cohen, George Clooney, Mario Batali   Do you crave many Ecards and contact or are you okay with little contact from your Witch? medium-ish contact is good.   Do you have a place where you list all the BPAL you have or have tried? Gag me with a spoon!   If you are a tea-drinker do you need a tea-cozie for your pot? Switch witch ever expanding question list

OK, in kindness to my poor witch, here are answers to the Amazing Endless Question List:   Coffee or Tea: more tea than coffee. Loose or bagged is fine. Also have french press and one of those little individual drip things when I want coffee. Hot cocoa is good too. Food/Homemade Goodies/Kits/Specialty Cooking Stuff: homemade goodies would be happily accepted. Flavored oils herbs, and interesting or local favorite condiments are also good. Guilty Pleasure/Favorite Hard To Get Treat: I don't know if it counts, but I really miss real back east salt bagels, and being able to order bagels and lox in a restaurant. In other decadent food areas, dark chocolate, gummi worms, and Ben and Jerry's Peanutbutter Cup ice cream, good pizza, fresh bread w/butter and honey Hats/Scarves/Gloves/Sox/Slippers: I absolutely love scarves, especially long full ones! It doesn't really get too cold here, at least by my standards, but it is damp/chilly a lot of the time and a scarf around my neck will keep me warm without being too hot. I like hats, but don't know the size. Also I wear my hair up a lot which needs a larger size. I like old fashioned hatpins, the long pointy kind with a decorative end. Feet are size 9/10 depending on the cut of things. I like fuzzy wool sox in the winter, cause I refuse to wear shoes unless it is absolutely necessary. Blankets: oh yes, blankets are nice. My house isn't warm, and we have electric(read expensive) heat. Hair Toys: I wear a lot of hair toys. Small claw clips are a total gift from the gods. I like hair sticks, and the kind of elastics that don't have metal. Donation in my name: the ACLU, or Buzzflash would be great. Gently Used: excellent. This includes books, CDs, Movies, general neat stuff--I draw the line at used undies though. Favorite Artist/Style/Period: Impressionist and art nouveau. Arts and crafts. Lautrec, Van Gogh, Mackintosh Jewelery: don't wear much. Pierced ears. Silver is best, or hypoallergenic. No rings or bracelets. I like carnelian, garnet, jade, moonstone, lapis, rutilated quartz Music: various. No christian, rap, elvis, or baby voiced girly singers. I like what is usually called "classic rock," blues in the Leadbelly, Billie Holliday vein, I like folk and "protest" music. I like the Chieftains, Steeleye Span, Cherish the Ladies, but not generic "celtic" music. I like Bob Dylan, the Dead, Willie Nelson, David Bowie and Leonard Cohen. I like the Sex Pistols, the Kinks, The Clash, The Cure, Metallica, the Dixie Chicks, Pete Seeger, Johnny Cash, the Squirrel Nut Zippers, and Pink Martini. I don't listen to much of what is on mainstream radio right now. Movies/DVD: would not object to movies, used is just fine. I like Sci-Fi, adventure, and creepy crawlies, as long as they are clever and not just gore fests. Will I buy From My Wishlist During The Round: Probably not, as I don't have much $ and it is going to be used to spoil my witchee. If I do find something I can't turn down, it won't matter as the things I want tend to be rare and/or things I always want on hand. That said, I do not expect any BPAL from my witch, and will be perfectly glad to get whatever s/he feels is fun to send. Which BPAL would I most like to have/get more of: Punkie Night, as far as hard to gets, Frumious Bandersnatch, Poisoned Apple for GC. Lilith Victoria is the only one of the current LE set I mourn over not having. I keep trying to find a good strong citrus note that doesn't also come with stuff that doesn't work on me, but so far no luck. Same with mint, although Tokoyo Stomp is great and I love it, I would like a stronger, mintier, cooler mint that isn't softened with something. Favorite Notes: amber, incense, opium, citrus, ginger, vanilla, tobacco, tonka, mint, cocoa, black currant, rosewood Notes that don't work: neroli, rose, the dreaded "white florals" sweet or powdery notes, most of the things that say aquatic, or ozone, Other Perfumes/Bath,Body,Home Products: Don't use many. I have a Parrot, which limits the things I can have as scents tend to be hard on their lungs. I have never tried any of the lush or villianess stuff. I occasionally buy some Bath and Body showergels, but they keep discontinuing the scents I like. The only mainstream perfumes I use/like are Obsession from Calvin Klein, Opium, and Tabac Blonde from Caron. When I was in high school (forever ago)I used to wear Love's Fresh Lemon, which was a wonderful realistic, non-sweet lemon--sadly discontinued and I have never found anything comparable. It was great layered with patchouli too. Three People I Would Most Like to Have Tea With: Albert Einstein, Gertrude Stein, Mark Twain for dead people. David Soldner, Thom Hartman, Leonard Cohen for live people. Favorite Places: Museum of Natural History in NYC, Silver Falls State Park, Alfred University, Atlantic City Boardwalk, Oregon Coast. Favorite Fall Drink: hot spiced cider TV show I would most like to have back: pre-Serenity Firefly. Blackadder Forum Buddies: not so much so far. don't know any forumites in RL Favorite Animal: hedgehogs, racoons, foxes, dragons, general wild things Pets/Names: At this time I have two outdoor cats. One was originally owned by the people down the street, but adopted us. She is black with short hair. The other is a stray or abandoned siamese that just showed up and stayed. The black cat is Minus, because she used to hang out with a white cat and my partner called them Plus and Minus. The siamese is Brat. She deserves it. I also have a quaker parrot, which I adopted about a month ago, who still needs a name. The original name sux and the bird doesn't answer to it. If it wasn't already claimed by the cat, I would name the parrot Brat. Cell Phone Charms: don't have a cell phone Cell Phone or MP3 case/cover: don't have an MP3 Alice in Wonderland: I like the Alice stories, but I'm not a fanatic. Star Trek: I was a serious fan of original Trek--when it was first on--yes I'm old--and still like it well enough. I enjoyed Next Generation, but didn't follow any of the rest of the spinoffs. I like Picard, Data, and Spock, of course. Bandaids: Don't generally use them. Can't throw with them on. The funky ones are fun though. Beading, Knitting, Crochet Supplies: Don't actually need any, but interesting focal beads or fiber is always fun. Kilts: not on me, but guys in kilts...Yum! My partner in a kilt...Multiple YUM!!! (yes, he does have a kilt, and yes, he wears it) Puzzles,Crosswords, etc: not so much Comics: not particularly Watch: don't own one. I kill them. The electric ones batteries die w/in a month, and wind ups tend to meet with strange and fatal accidents, so I gave up. Reserved/Raunchy: I can go either way. Raunch for its own sake gets boring though, it needs to be clever also. Earth, Air, Fire, Water: Earth and Fire--there's a good reason I'm a potter Pen Types/Stationery/Calligraphy: I like ball point pens with the soft squooshy grips, cause they make it hurt less to write. I can actually do calligraphy, but rarely do it any more, and my regular handwriting looks like a spastic chicken walked across the page with ink on its feet. I like the idea of stationery, but rarely write letters. Bugs: usually I coexist fairly peacefully with bugs, but I am severely allergic to spider bites, and that is probably as close to a phobia as I have. I can look at them, or pictures of them, just fine--get one on me and you will be peeling me off the ceiling. Dragonflies, however are really cool! And I keep toying with the idea of keeping bees.   Wishlists elsewhere: not so far. I finally made a BPAL wishlist, but need to link it to my sig.   OK, that is a start at least. Now I have to go because my very patient partner wants to eat sometime this evening and we have to shop first
