(I'm not saying I'd definitely do this, unless someone is keen, and it wouldn't be the only gift). I guess for other witches this might include something like a knitting pattern - not my thing but would you like that? Or indeed would you like a picture created for you (if so what kind) or a story written? (sorry if this feels a bit Spanish Inquisition!) Sure, I'd love any recipes! No food intolerances over here. Work in progress... check back again soon
I'm currently doing my Masters in Professional Accounting, as well as working full time, and looking after 2 stepkids part-time, so life is pretty hectic and sometimes overwhelming at the moment. I read some reviews about the Twilight Alchemy Lab's utility oils, and they sounded exactly what they needed. So... I put in an order
Hey... it's for studying, right?!
All 5ml bottles
Concentration: A useful aid in study and ritual. Dot on palms and rub them together vigorously. Then inhale the scent to intensify mental focus and clear errant thoughts. This blend with sometimes provoke insight into problems and can be used for inspiration
Determination: A powerful aid in finding strength, drive and determination to complete projects. Battles frustration, sloth and rejuvenates your work ethic
Energy: An invigorating, stimulating blend. Replenishes depleted energy stores, banishes fatigue. Extremely useful after intense ritual or prolonged spellwork

I made my first order from the Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab at the end of June, after weeks of pouring through the descriptions, and trying to narrow down my choices. I had actually heard about BPAL a few years ago, from a few livejournal friends, but the range of scents slightly overwhelmed me, and I just didn't know where to start. But I finally decided to bite the bullet, and dive in - and I'm so glad I did! Imagine - I could have been addicted to this stuff years ago! Well, my credit card is glad I wasn't anyway.
The first order I made was naturally, all imps. Future posts will have some reviews or thoughts about some of the oils, but for the time being, just a list.

Juliet: Sweet pea with stargazer lily, calla lily, heliotrope, honeysuckle, white musk and a touch of fresh pear
Helena: Rose amber, calla lily, night-blooming jasmine, water lily, and white rose

…and just an itty bitty bit of green grass

I decided to take advantage of the fact we can have blogs on here, and use this for my BPAL related ramblings; after all, who best can understand my quickly-growing addiction, than a whole community dedicated to this amazing range of oils! I have been making orders like crazy, and I keep a little notebook with the descriptions of each oil I have, and my notes on whether I like it, what it reminds me of, seasons to wear them in, and whether I'll be reordering. I'm sure my boyfriend thinks I'm nuts... but at least he agrees I smell good! Hopefully I can use this blog to do a similar thing, and also read other people's thoughts (bpal or not!)
Love xx
