Anything from Villainess that strikes your fancy, either from their update or from the GC?
A lot of the scents seem interesting, but I don't use bar soap much, and their perfume oils tend to smell a little off on me. Bath stuff is great. Don't use sorbetto stuff much.
If I wanted to include something for your fluffball, what would be good, and what should I stay away from?
No hard treats or toys. I have a dog that likes soft squeaky things.
Would homemade treats be something you'd like for your dog/cat?

If you get a long weekend this weekend... what are you doing with it? Staying in? Going out? Family? Friends? If you don't get a long weekend, are you OK with that, or a little sad? (If you are Canadian, apply this to last weekend).
It was mine and my husband's one year wedding anniversary, so we celebrated that more than Canada day.
Would you be interested in getting a kombucha starter and instructions on how to use it to easily make your own fermented, probiotic tea drink?
Maybe? It really depends on how it tastes and if it can be sent to Canada. I am not a fan of beer... so if it tastes anything like that (or in any way bitter or sour) then no thanks.
Anything interesting from the new Paintbox Soapworks update for you?
I think anything from them that I want is on my Etsy W/L
Would you like to received a couple of french regional specialities like Crème de marrons (basically sweet chesnut purée with a hint of vanilla aroma - can be eaten as a spread or with yoghurt, used in pastries - although I demolish the stuff with a spoon, because I freaking love it), other preserves/sweet things, tapenade/rouille/aioli/dried tomato caviar/other kinds of savoury spreads and condiments?
Sure! The puree sounds especially nommy.
What one item would make your kitchen feel 'complete'? It can be anything - gadget, ingredient, art piece, furniture, etc.
Hmm, though it is too much for SW, a stand mixer would be a huge step towards a complete kitchen. Also, more cookbooks or recipes and spices.

I don't really go overboard on my liking of any TV show/Movie/etc), are there any TV shows or Movies that you really like and/or watch regularly or any actors/actresses you wouldn't leave standing in the rain (unless you like looking at them sopping wet, in which case ... well, nevermind)?

How big is too big...for something to hang on your walls? If I'm painting you a pretty picture, are there maximum dimensions that you have/prefer? If it needs a frame... the smaller the better. (Frames are soooo expensive here.)
No frame? 16x20 would probably be the max.
What is your favourite object, that you own, ignoring sentimental reasons for attachment? So I guess something you find beautiful, or fun, or incredibly useful. Completely free of sentimental attachment... I have a few.
My computer. It is so useful, and while I wish I wasn't so dependent on it sometimes, it is just, wonderful.
My e-reader. I still love paper books, but I am so happy to have an e-reader in my life. Gone are the days of hauling many books with me when I go places.
My BPAL. It has the power to change my mood completely, even if I can't get out of bed.
Pillows.
Put your mp3 player/online music/itunes/etc on random and list the next 10 songs here:
Somebody That I Used to Know - Gotye
Call Me Maybe - Carly Rae Jepsen
Walk Tall - Cannonball Adderly
Creep - Radiohead
Primadonna (acoustic)- Marianna and the Diamonds
Satellite - DMB
Walking on Sunshine/Halo - Glee
Turning Tables - Adele
Food Chain - Eric Hutchinson
Time Warp - Rocky Horror Soundtrack
Is there someone on the forums (within SW or not) who knows you really well and might be able to help with stalking? Sadly, not really. But if you are friends with me on Facebook, you can message my hubby (he just asks that you identify yourself as my BPAL Witch) and ask him stuffs. He is very good at keeping secrets from me when it comes to spoiling me.
Do you use waxmelts or tarts? If so, which ones do you prefer? I don't, but stick that baby in a jar with a wick, and I would love it.
Do you enjoy drinking hot chocolate, and would you like stuff to make it with, or to add to it? Hot chocolate is my next favorite after tea, so I am all for things for it!
I have a feeling I will struggle with keeping my identity secret from my witchee. If you happen to find out who yours is, how much would it bother you? My first round I had a witch who didn't reveal until the end, and it was so fun to be kept guessing the whole round. That said, if my witch revealed early, or I guessed, I would in NO way be disappointed.
Have you ever tried Spoonfudge? Would you enjoy it if your Witch would send you some? Which of the flavors would you like? Oh. Dear. Lord. Never tried it. But it looks divine. Flavors.... Caramallow, Butter Y'all, Cinnamon That's How We Roll, Cookies and Cream, Salted Caramel, PB & J, Heavenly Buttercup, Peaches and Champagne, Raspberry Cheesecake, Chocolate Coconutty, Cinnamon Snap!, White Chocolate Roses, Sweet and Salty
What's your opinion on Moonalisa? Any favorites or products you'd like to try? Never tried. Some of their perfumes and bath products look cool, but I can't see scent descriptions.
Are there any BPALs that you loved the idea of, the imagery - whether artwork or description - but which didn't work out for you? (I'm asking because if they did, you might mention them elsewhere, but if not, the imagery might be helpful) U. I love the idea of it, but on me it just smelled a little... off?
Is there a Quote that resonates with you, or that you particularly like a lot. Would this be something you would like artwork made of for your walls or a shirt/bag/scarf?
"When words fail, music speaks."
"Next to silence, that which comes closest to expressing the inexpressible is music."
"When people don't express themselves, they die one piece at a time."
Also, STARBUCKS, Yay or Nay? Anything you particularly like? I like Starbucks, but I tend to go for blended drinks. Blended strawberry lemonade, decaf hazelnut frapp, passion tea lemonade. Mmmm now I want Starbucks...
Ninjas or Pirates? Slight preference for pirates.
Werewolves or Vampires? Neither and both. Depends on who is portraying them.
Zombie or Cthulhu? Zombies. Definitely. Mind you I know nothing about the Cthulu-verse.
Do you welcome knitted items? If so, what would you like most? (amigurumi, washcloth, socks, shawl, shawlette, scarf, wrist warmers, hat, etc.) Do you have any favorite fibers? How about any fiber allergies? Favorite color for knitted items? Oooh, knitted items are WIN! I like bamboo yarn, but really as long as it is fairly easy to clean I am easy. Straight wool might be an issue, but not sure. I have a lovely hat and fingerless gloves, but would welcome anything funky-ish. Wrist/arm warmers, leg warmers, big socks, scarves, shawls or shawlettes. For colors, jewel tones are great. Pretty much no white or brown and you are golden.
Do you want to receive one big package or a bunch of small ones? Digital stuff all at the end when the box should arrive or as we go? My first round was the Fall 2012 round, and my lovely witch kept very high contact with me throughout with physical cards, e-cards, e-mails, etc. I LOVED IT. She sent small packages throughout the round, and then a larger reveal at the end, which was super awesome, but the thing is, whatever works for my Witch. If it will work for you to send small packages, go for it. If it works to send one big one, do eet. But one thing I ask is don't skimp on the contact please. I love hearing from you, an e-mail or an e-card or something just to say hi. I think that is what makes SW so special, is getting to know people.
Do you have any symbols or totems that are meaningful to you?
Music notes, butterflies (stylized, they are a symbol for fibromyalgia)...
When you are having a really rough day, what do you like to do/have to make it a little brighter?
I generally cry. It makes me feel better to get the energies out. I also tend to escape a bit, either into a movie, a book or a video game.
Would you like if your witch sent a regional pop/soda? If so, what type (Root beer, creme soda, cola, citrus-flavored, chocolate-flavored, etc...)?
Sure, though maybe no chocolate... and no diet please.
What are the three BPALs you would most like to receive - one GC, one not-hard to find LE, and one HTF LE from your dreams?
GC: O, Morocco, Dee, Dorian, Tamora, Roses Pearls and Diamonds, Lysander
NHTF LE: Harlequin and Columbine, Smut, Harigata II, Dionysia, Variety Of Pleasing Amusements, L'engouement
HTF LE of my DREAMS: Black Lace, Antique Lace
If you knit/crochet, what sizes of needles do you need?
The only thing I have ever knit was a scarf that is still on the needles because I don't know how to cast off. I think the needles are about an inch across. They are HUGE and I love it. But generally speaking, I don't knit (see note about casting off).
What styles of artwork do you like?
Black and white photography, abstract, watercolor... I don't really know... haha.
If you cook, would you be interested in-hand made spice mixes/rubs?
Not homemade, no. But storebought is fine, or the recipe for your favorite rub/mix would be awesome <3
Would you like mexican vanilla or silver rings/necklaces?
OMG MEXICAN VANILLA *dies* Silver rings/necklaces would be awesome, but look at my username. I LOVES THE VANILLA.
Is there anything from the Oddment Emporium (Conjure Oils Update) you would like?
Added here
What is your favorite color?
Purple. Red (blue toned), jewel toned green.
What is your favorite season?
Summer, definitely. Also, fall.
If you could live anywhere in the world and money was no object, where would it be?
Somewhere with no snow and good health care. I don't know that I would move, but I would definitely travel a lot!
Do you have any long trips coming up? If so, could you use things to occupy yourself?
No overly long trips. Might have a few day trips. I generally just read or get forced into conversation with my family. Or sleep. Mmmm sleep.
I'm going to Jungle Jim's next week (it's basically a massive international food gasm in Ohio, look it up); would anything interest you?
Spice mixes, interesting candy, anything small and cool
Name three things that you could use, but might not necessarily think to get for yourself?
Hmm, toughie. The things I need that I don't buy are generally in the "I can't afford it" category. I could use new paintbrushes. Those don't have to be fancy. Mostly for watercolor work. I have been trying to find something to keep my legs from itching. I have mild eczema, and recently started moisturizing straight out of the shower which helped for a while. But it stopped and now they itch again. That is all I can really think of.
Would any witchee be interested in this comic? or any of her three comics?
They look interesting. I am just getting into comics/graphic novels. NB: I DO NOT read series out of order. For anything.
Does anything from the TP Etsy update interest you?
Not particularly.
I just found out Oreo is launching ones with watermelon flavor in the USA only. Is it something you would enjoy?
Not particularly.
What do you love about summer (even if it’s your least-favorite season)?
Getting to wear flip flops all the time! The funny thing is I like socks, I like shoes, but I hate wearing them. I take them off as soon as I have an opportunity to.
For those of you who are big readers: Are there any books that just came out (like within the last two months) or are about to come out during this round that you're really looking forward to?
I tend not to keep on top of new releases, since I very rarely buy books new. Used book sales! YAY! Though if you really want an answer to this, let me know and I will go peruse.
I know there's been a question about favorite quotes but this is specific: Do you have a quote that's not more than, say, a dozen words long that you would like in a cross-stitch?
I had one this morning! And now I can't think of it! NOOOOOO STUPID FIBRO FOG
Also posted to blog... but I wanted to stay included here.
If you don't consider yourself in a "fandom" (and I get that ... I don't really go overboard on my liking of any TV show/Movie/etc), are there any TV shows or Movies that you really like and/or watch regularly or any actors/actresses you wouldn't leave standing in the rain (unless you like looking at them sopping wet, in which case ... well, nevermind)?
Zachary Quinto falls into the "leave outside in the rain because YUM" category. I like Johnny Depp too. For shows I don't fandom but still enjoy, Grey's Anatomy is the only one I can really think of.
So, dear witchee, would you like some Tw*twaffle soap or scent or lotion?
I wish there was a bath melt thing of this. And a sample lotion would be awesome.
Has anyone asked about tattoos? Do you love them? Hate them? Have any? Want any?
I have a swallow on my upper back which has symbolism relating to my deceased grandpa. I want more. I want one on my inner wrist to do with peace, and something for fibro.
TAL update on etsy. Is there anything you want/need?
Emotional Healing oil.
Brown and Haley outlet - makers of Almond Roca and Mountain Bars - would you want anything from the outlet? Yes. The things.
I also have an Oberto jerky outlet local to me - any wants there? I adore jerky. I only eat the strip stuff, and I don't like peppered flavor. OMNOMNOM JERKY.
How do you feel about home-canned goods? No home-canned goods, thanks
Do you like BPTP clothing? Never owned any.
What size do you wear of:
Baby-doll T's XL?
Regular T's M-L
yoga pants I am a size 12-14, so whatever that translates to.
What else do you love from the Trading Post site, and need to have?
UGH Massage oil. Morocco hair gloss.
Is there a particular movie genre that you like (Fantasy? Drama? Romantic Comedy? Musicals? TV-Series, etc), and what format would you prefer: DVD, Blu-Ray, or something in the cloud (like Amazon, iTunes, Flixster, etc)?
DVD format. I like musicals, TV series, zombie movies, horror movies, and DISNEY/KIDS MOVIES!
Following up on the Adagio question from earlier, what are you top five wishes, for teas and blends?
Oh gosh. I like rooibos because it is caffeine free. rooibos cinnamon apple (no chamomile), rooibos earl grey, honeybush hazelnut
In general, I like nuts and spice, some fruits (no blueberry please!). No licorice flavored things. Chai is always a win. Really, I like tea. I have some of my faves listed on my Amazon list to give you an idea.
Do you have anything that you do ritually, every summer?
Not really. When I was younger it used to be that I would go on vacation with my parents, but now that I am an adult and don't get the summers off, I tend to just make sure I have lots of outside time. Also, sandals. All the time.
What are your top five wishes from ThinkGeek?
http://www.thinkgeek.com/product/ab3f/ -- These are SO fun.
http://www.thinkgeek.com/product/eeef/
http://www.thinkgeek.com/product/cf9b/ - Super expensive but OMG NEED
http://www.thinkgeek.com/product/7957/
http://www.thinkgeek.com/product/ed6b/ -- Way too much for a Witchee to spend. But it is in my top 5 things I want from TG.
Seen anything lately that makes you go OH HOLY FUCK THAT'S AWESOME!! ?
http://www.etsy.com/listing/123235066/biolojewelry-neurotransmitter-necklace?ref=col_view -- As someone who suffers from depression, necklaces like this are awesome to me, though 16 and 18 inches would be too short I think. There is another company that makes and sells them for like, $90, so seeing an alternative made me SO happy.
http://www.etsy.com/listing/108030241/simple-spoon-necklace?ref=col_view -- Spoon necklace to go with the spoon theory for chronic illness. Another necklace that made me go OMG YES.
Do you like audiobooks? If so, do you have/would you like to try Audible? (I'm an addict, myself.)
I can't do audiobooks, personally. I tend to always try to multitask and then I miss out on the story. So it is good old readable books for me.
Chocolate: Love? Hate? Allergic? If love, what are your faves?
Love chocolate. Not a huge fan of super dark or white. I like it nice and milky, with ALL THE THINGS in it. Nuts, caramel, cookie bits, pretzels, hot sauce. It is all good.
Do you like/wear makeup? If so what brands/colors/types?
I do. Urban Decay, Nyx, Mac. I like pretty much all colors except for CRAZY WILD. I have porcelain skin and blue eyes.
Is there anything special I could get you from New York City?
Nothing specific that I can think of, but if you see something for me, go for it!
I know the question about personal style was included in the questionnaire, but is there anything that could give your witch a better sense of your style/fashion or decoration preferences? Like tumblrs, pictures you like, websites, stores (or brands) you like or would like to be able to shop at and so forth? My etsy, my pinterest, both linked in another blog post.
Would you like some detangling and very shiny hair gloss made by me (malibusbunny)? Because my hair is so fine, I am gonna say no. It gets greasy if I look at it funny, so I would hesitate to use a hair gloss methinks.
Does the idea of wearing a plant as jewelery give you the warm fuzzies or the heebie jeebies?
(For me, warm fuzzies, but they don't ship to Canada. Sadface)
Gourmet popcorn, yes/no? What do you like: glazed, savory, candied? Nuts or not? Any flavors you wouldn't like (like Bacon CHeeseburger, Pizza, Watermelon, Root Beer Float, Hot Chili Dark Chocolate)? Or if any of those sounded interesting, how weird is weird enough?
I love savory gourmet popcorn. Though the hot chili dark chocolate is intriguing. I also like popcorn spice for my own popcorn. MMMMM POPCORN.
Do you want/need/like/collect journals? If so, do you prefer lined or unlined?
LOVE journals. Prefer lined, but unlined can be turned into art projects
How do you feel about glitter? does loose glitter make your skin crawl or would you bathe in it?
I like sparkly things, and loose glitter in the sense of "it fell off of something" is ok. But please no handfuls of glitter. It is hard to clean up.
Festival this week -- includes an "encampment" and an art faire. any interest in trinkety things from the encampment or cards/prints from local artists?
Sure! I like artsy things
Do you like Kickstarter? Are there any projects up that you really like?
I haven't really looked at Kickstarter, since they don't support Canadian projects (yet. SOON!)
If you have an Etsy wishlist, what are your top 5 favorite things on there? The price is unimportant, not because I'm rich, but because I'd like some inspiration.
This Necklace
All the pashminas ever.

Love these both, but am also Canadian so can get them in abundance.
Do you like puzzles? What kind? Jigsaw, word, etc?
Adore puzzles. Sudoku, crossword, jigsaw, logic, and hidden object. ALL LOVE
Every package has to have something blue in it. Blue can also be used to describe more risque humor...how would you rate your general sense of humor? Are you strictly PG-13, R-rated, NC-17?
I tend to get pretty off-color with people I know. My husband and I make some pretty hilariously naughty jokes. But when dealing with people I don't know, I am pretty PG-13. I warm up pretty quickly, but generally I tread on the side of caution. And when other people who don't know me super well make extremely off-color jokes, I tend to get uncomfortable. I am 100% not OK with anything sexist, anti-gay, racist, etc.

Random Questions:
- On a scale of 1-5, how organized are you?
Can I give myself a negative score? No? 2.
- Where, outside of the U.S. would you love to visit? (if you're international, this can be anywhere)
Italy, Paris, back to the Caribbean all the cliche'd places of yore.
- Do people tell you that you act older, younger, or your age?
Older.
-If I gave you a toy gun with flashing lights, would you hide and start shooting people from around corners OR would you thank me on the IGI thread and then quietly donate it (a niece, Oxfam, Goodwill, wherever)? (there are no wrong answers for this, so don't be afraid to answer honestly)
I would proudly stand in the open with that baby a-waving, shooting everything in sight. Bonus points if it makes sounds!
- What animal do you feel like the most?
This question always stumps me. I have no idea.
- Your favorite feature about yourself:
Eyes. Always eyes.
- Do you live in a neighborhood or in the middle of nowhere?
Apartment block in a neighborhood.
-Have you ever thought, "oh, I'm going to get myself one of those one of these days" but then never do? List 1 under $10 and 1 over $10.
Under $10: A travel pillow.
Over $10: A new everyday hat to wear when I don't feel like washing my hair.
- How do you feel about boi witches?
Boy witches are warlocks. *sagenod*
- Do you like garage sales (boot sales)?
Sometimes. I have limits on what I will buy used.
- I like to slather my food in …:
Chocolate, gravy or hollandaise sauce. Whatever is most appropriate.
- State fairs or carnivals?
Call me a crazy Canadian... but aren't they the same thing??? Regardless, for health reasons I generally steer clear.
- You throw caution to the wind and runaway to join a traveling circus. What job would you want ( a main performer, a side show, a behind the scenes spot, etc) and why?
Main performer. I used to do musical theatre and I miss performing a great deal. Or I would want to work with animals. Or I would want to do makeup.
- What mythical or fantastic race of creatures (dragons, unicorns, griffins, elves, dwarves, faeries, etc.) do you most identify with?
Not actually knowing the lore behind a lot of these creatures and going purely with what the media has put into my head. Elves. Or faeries. Or unicorns.
- Imagine that you're given a shoebox-sized time capsule, and you are asked to put any number of items in the box that symbolize who you are. The items can be may be anything you can imagine, and money is no object, but they must fit within the box. What do you choose?
A spent WoW game card, some paper scraps from card making, a handful of wedding photos showing myself my hisband and our families, some loose tea, an empty imp, a book or two, a Disney movie, a saxophone reed, some old sheet music, a piano key or two, something chocolate, a logic puzzle book, dried flowers, a game piece from any of the zillions of board games I have, my d20, a stuffed animal, a dog collar, a sparkly shoe.
- Do you need storage boxes?
Always.
- The world has given you the day off. You hear that, no chores, responsibilities, or budget you have to follow. What would you do in those 24 hours?
With no budget I would go to the spa for a full day of all the relaxation ever. If I could convince the world to let my husband have the day off too, I would take him with me. I would eat the most extravagent food I could find and rent out an entire movie theatre to watch something. I would go shopping and buy clothes, tea and things for the home. And then I would top it all off with some video games and reading. Because you can never have too much video games and reading.
- Do you like steampunk & if so what kind of steampunk item would you most like to receive?
I am just getting into seampunk. I like surprises.
- Do you have an etsy shop?
I do not.
- Would you like to receive baked goods, if so what kind?
No thank you.
- What is something totally random (yes, that thing that just popped into your head) that hasn't been covered by any previous questions?
Did I mention I like sparkly things? I did? Oh good. Also, I have a chronic pain disorder (fibromyalgia).
If there is something you want to get me that absolutely WILL NOT ship to Canada, I have a US address I can give you, it just means that it will be longer getting to me, as I will have to wait for my mom to be down in the states to pick it up (the next time she will be down is in July, and then not sure when after that).
Doctor Who? I have only watched like, four episodes of the 2005 stuff. I like it so far, but not a diehard fan.
How much do you like lipbalm? I adore lipbalm, like, tons.
Do you like and wear lipgloss? Generally I find it too sticky for me and stick to balm or stick.
For those of you whose wishlists contain only BPALs, are there any other perfume companies you like or would like to try out? *pulls out a scroll* *unrolls it* *it extends halfway around the equator* I will update my wishlist soon, but the short answer is yes.
Your feelings on Adagio teas: I don't think I have ever tried them, but I ADORE loose tea. OMNOMNOM.
What about coffee? No coffee, please. Coffee flavored things are OK, but I don't drink straight coffee.
Who is your favourite female of all time? Historical, literary, ANYTHING, and why? Ooh. This is a toughie, and nothing is standing out. But if I think of anything, I will let you know! EDIT: I like Jennifer Lawrence and Anne Hathaway, because they are both just, amazingly real people in a world that is trying to force them to be someone else.
If you were a Disney princess you would be? Probably Belle from Beauty and the Beast, just because that is my favorite Disney movie.
Seashell from Florida? Sure!
What craft project do you currently have on your docket or that you want to start? And that craft goodies would be welcome? I really want to make things for the home. I have a whole Pinterest board of crafty things. Craft supplies are always welcome, but especially scrapbook papers and punches and things. And paintbrushes.
If you could have one rare bpal which one would you choose? I don't know much about the rare side of BPAL. I like Spanked Revisited, and Dionysia which are on the newer side of rare, but I am open to whatever. Also, Black Lace.
Are you kinky? Sometimes?
Do you enjoy scented candles? Certain sizes that you like? What kind of scents or brands? I love BBW scented candles. Nothing too terribly floral (though lilac is always a win) and most linen scents give me mad headaches. Fruit and spice are always safe. Also, I can't find my candle warmer
Thoughts about South Africa? Have you been here, would you like to go? Would you like to receive anything South African? Never been, don't know much about it, but am always happy to get things from far-off places.
Do you like Sockdreams? If so, what styles would you prefer? Never bought anything from Sock Dreams, but I like fun socks and opaque tights.
Do you need hair accessories? If so, what kind or color? I have fairly short hair, so no ties. Fun clips or (ouchless) headbands welcome! Not picky on color.
What is your favorite shade of blue? ALL THE SHADES! FIFTY SHADES OF BLUE! (Color is good)
Do you have any kitchen gadgets (a SodaStream, a Kuerig/Tassimo) that you want mix things for? I do not.
If you were to start learning something new (intellectual or craft or hobby), what would it be? I want to learn new art techniques. I am in an art class right now via a MOOC program. I want to know more about different painting techniques. Intellectually, I would love to learn a different language. I also want to learn how to blend perfumes.
What about candy? I have a mad sweet tooth. The sweeter the better. And I LOVE CHOCOLATE.
Do you have an e-reader? What kind? Would you like to get ebooks? I have a Sony e-reader, and I would LOVE to get ebooks for it. They need to be ePub format though, NOT KINDLE/AMAZON
If your witch is an extremely crafty sort, and she were to send all kinds of homemade foody goodies and handmade crafty stuff - what are items you would NOT LOVE to receive. Please dont hedge on this one...some of us are serious crafters and will be making most of what we send! I am still a little squicky on homemade foodstuffs. I am waffling a bit on it, but I think I would still rather not have homemade foodstuff. But knitted things, crafty things, photography, jewelery, etc are all MOST welcome. <3
Witchee dear, do you like video games? Are there any you want to play? Do you have a large library? I LOVE video games, but I don't get to play much due to funds. I have a Steam account (_vanillabean), and I own WoW with all expansions, Rift, Neverwinter, Guild Wars 2, and Diablo 3. I am most active in the first two. I would love to try BioShock, Mass Effect or any horror games. (All for PC)
Do you have something you do, without fail, as a personal daily habit/ritual? I read before bed. If I am feeling particularly anxious, I have a cup of tea. I take naps pretty much daily.
Do you wear nailpolish? What colors do you tend to go for? What are your favorite brands? Are you open to trying indie brands? I am getting into wearing nail polish again. I tend to go for shimmery colors (not out and out glitter chunks). I don't like super dark colors, but I like saturated colors (bright purples and blues, etc). I like pastel neutrals as well. My favorite brand right now is Essie, and I have a few Sephora by OPI as well. I am totally open to trying new brands, as long as they aren't too finicky!
Name three BPAL scents you have tried, but are dying to get more of. Hmm, goodness. I think I will have to update this one later once I go through my stash. UPDATE: Dionysia, Morocco, O
Do you still write real letters on nice stationary to people you like/love? Occasionally, yes. Mostly to my husband, but I will write the rare letter to family too. I LOVE stationery. Especially pens and paper/journals.
Have you ever tried anything from Paintbox Soapworks? Which products or scents would you prefer? My wonderful witch from last round, Gateau, got me a Halloween sampler of her soaps and a scrubby. I haven't even worked through all of the soaps! While I love the product, I would probably stick to the bath streusel or sample sizes of the lotions I can slip into my purse.
Do you like/have space to garden? If so, what do you grow? I don't have space outside, but if the seeds would keep or if it is something that can grow inside without trouble, cool!
Do you like sample sized things? Think lipgloss, mascara, bodylotion, scrubs, mini candles, and so forth. I love them! Especially sample lotions, because then I can throw them in my purse easily.
Have you tried Fortune Cookie Soap? What products or scents would you like? Never tried it, but there looks like a lot of stuff there I would like! Especially bubble baths and room sprays, etc.
Do you use solid soaps at all? If so, what kind do or don't you like? I prefer liquid antibacterial soap for hands, and body wash in the shower. I need really good moisturizing stuff because of mild eczema.
Have you ever tried Cocoa Pink? If you are curious about it, what looks interesting to you? Never tried it, but I like bath products and perfume! I can't see scent descriptions though
Do you like Lush? If so, what is your favorite product that is currently available, also, what is a product that you love but has been discontinued? I do like Lush, but I have two where I live, so I can easily get it myself. I find a lot of their lotions go greasy on me.
Shiro cosmetics? Never tried them, but would be willing to. Nothing exceedingly crazy or it won't get worn. Neutrals are always good, as are purples and muted blues and greens.
Are there any companies, products, or items you boycott? Not that I can think of? I mean, enviro friendly and animal friendly is always better, but I am not the most educated person on who tests how... sadly. No Abercrombie & Fitch.
As I am in Japan, what sort of things would you like from there? KITKATS PLEASE!
Witchee, do you cook? Do you do all the cooking? Is it a chore or a pleasure? I cook sometimes, though I am more of a baker. My hubs does more of the cooking. For me, because of chronic pain, it is more of a chore than anything, though I am always looking for new recipes!
Which reading level do you prefer to read in YA or Adult? Or even both? I like both, but YA needs to be on the more sophisticated side or I get bored/frustrated.
What colors/style is your kitchen decor? And do you entertain in your home? My kitchen is an apartment galley style kitchen. I wouldn't say no to some tea-towels or cloths, but we don't have a specific color scheme. We don't really entertain because LOLAPARTMENT, but we want to.
Are your ears pierced? Yes, but they are also super sensitive.
Do you like stuffies/stuffed animals/art doll type thingies? If so, any particular type you'd love to get? I like stuffies. I used to collect them, and then my mom slowly made me get rid of my collection. Think more teddy bear and less oogly moogly.
Switch Witch is, of course, all about you.....but if your Witch was so inclined, are there wee little ones in your home that will get jealous and are just too young to understand why you won't share the love, who maybe need a touch of Witchee love all their own, to distract them while you hide all your lovelies?!? I have no kids.
If you knew you were going to live comfortably for say 800 years, what profession, calling or project might you pursue with some of your extra years, which you imagine you may not do in the life that you have? Is there any thing - an object, a donation on your behalf, some research done for you, whatever - that your witch could do about this that you would like? And if you can't think of a present, would you rather she/he (I!) didn't either and confined themselves to things you are already involved in?
Hmm, writing is a big one, as is Fibromyalgia research (as it is really under-researched and under-funded). I haven't really mentioned it on these forums before, but I would love to learn to do what Beth and Co. do. (i.e. blending beautiful perfume oils for the masses) If my witch could find me a book on how to blend perfume oils, or even some internet articles... I would be floored. And last but not least, keeping art and music alive in schools and the community. Also, I want to learn how to decant my oils.
Do you like bags? If so, what type (rucksack, clutch, shopping bag) colour and would you like/need a new one?
I use re-useable bags for grocery shopping, and can always use more of those. I need a new purse, too. *flies off to etsy to wishlist some purses*
What's your favourite comfort food(snack or candy etc) and/or drink?
Chai tea is a big one. The spicier the better, and caffeine free. I also tend towards sweeter stuff when I am in need of comfort. I just finished my jar of Cookie Butter the amazing Gateau got me last round, but I found an acceptable dupe in Grand Forks (since I don't live too far from there) called Biscoff Spread. It isn't the same, but it will do since there isn't a Trader Joes within reasonable distance.
Would you like anything from an European country? Any particular food or goodies, magazines, books, whatever would be available to your witch in his/her country. I am really open (within the scope of other questions answered re: flavors not liked etc) to receiving new and exciting things from far off places!
What fandoms do you belong to? Buffy the Vampire Slayer (TV, not movie), Harry Potter, Disney, general gamer geekdom, general reading geekdom
What cheers you up? A good cup of tea, good food (whatever I am craving, but generally ice cream or chocolate or cake), a talk and a snuggle with my husband and dog, a round of video games and a good book. And of course, BPAL. I have found that smelling good changes my whole outlook on things.
Who or where would you most want to haunt? Who would you least want to be haunted by? Who - I would haunt my husband, romantically of course. In the "I don't want to be without him" way. Where - a library. Definitely a library. Least want to be haunted by? I can think of any number of specific people from my past who I am done with having around. But for the most part I would say I wouldn't want to be haunted by anyone except my husband in the same romantic way.
What question do you hate to answer? I find questions about myself hard to answer since I don't have that much confidence. No questions that have been asked so far have been too bad, though.
What is the best compliment you have/could receive? Being complimented on my writing. Being told I am a good person, and/or a good friend. I have a hard time believing compliments because of my low self esteem, but those are a few of the ones I really appreciate and that hit me at the core.
Do you like tarot cards, pendulums and rune stones etc? If so, what type? Not so much, though I used to have a quartz focus stone to wear on a chain that broke (the stone, not the chain). I'd love one of those again. Or worry stones.
Witchee, I know that SW isn't about what you get... but could you name one thing you would be heartbroken not to get and one thing you would be a-ok if it didn't make it in your box? I think I would be sad if my Witch didn't try to get to know me outside of my blog posts. I know it can be tough with e-mails and stuff, and not wanting to reveal, but I got spoiled my first time doing SW, and I loved having someone who really tried to connect with me on a personal level.
Is there anything small you try to collect from everywhere you visit? I collect pins from musical theatre shows etc. Not so much from places, but from events. I do tend towards more modern designs, though (as an FYI). So my POTO pin is just the mask. I also have Wicked. Oh! And the specialty programs. I collect those.
Would you like something from Empire Edibles?
OMG THIS LOOKS GOOD. But alas, it might not be feasible shipping overseas if I get a UK Witch.
But... just in case... TeaRuffles, Rose Garden Fudge, Summer Cup Strawberry & Pimms Fudge, Fudge de Siècle, Empress of India Fudge
What are the three books you most want to read right now, and which you don't already have? My top three books I already own, so I will go with three I don't own. Mothership by Martin Leicht and Isla Neal || The Reincarnationist by M.J. Rose || Oink: My Life With Mini Pigs by Matt Whyman
Is there a literary character you identify with? Even if it's not spot-on, just someone you found yourself having that "I identify with this" feeling? I actually really identified with Hazel from Fault in Our Stars. Being chronically ill, John Green really nailed some of the issues.
What would you like from the most recent BPAL update? What are you planning on buying for yourself and what would you like to try? Nothing I would buy for myself, but Aurelia, Calocyclas, Desmonema and Epibulia look interesting in a "I-Might-Like-To-Try-That" way.
Opinions on table top games, from cards and board games, to dice and rpgs. What do you like? What don't you like? Favorites? Any classics you like? Do you collect any? I have a few on my Amazon wishlist.
What style is your sense of humour? Witty, sarcastic, downright goofy, and silly animals.
Is there anything from Australia you would like? eg: snacks (yes, you can ask for Tim Tams!), books, magazines, memorabilia? I can get Tim Tams here, and they are NOM. But I would love postcards or pictures of animals or scenery. Anything really...
Gift cards/vouchers - yay or nay? If you like them - which stores would you like one for? Definite yay! Sock Dreams, various perfume companies, etsy, Starbucks, Kobo Books, Sony book store, Chapters... Please no Amazon, as I don't shop there for myself
Oh, yeah, by the way, peoples, do you have any problems with swearing or particularly off-color humor? Would you like to receive subversive crochet/cross stitch/ etc., or would this not get much love in your household? Hmm. I am kind of on the fence about this. I would love a cross-stitch that says "I am a delicate fucking flower", and I would display it... but I wouldn't display anything with the C word. In general, I am ok with a little swearing, as long as it isn't directed at me.
Haus of Gloi did a Reverie update! Do any of them interest you? (Or anything else up currently?) In my wishlist.
Would you be interested in someone writing out for you a favourite recipe, or finding or devising one which they think you'd like? If so, please provide your favourite ingredients, info on how you like to cook/store and use food, and any intolerances - unless all of these are in your questionnaire, or you don't like the idea. (I'm not saying I'd definitely do this, unless someone is keen, and it wouldn't be the only gift). I guess for other witches this might include something like a knitting pattern - not my thing but would you like that? Or indeed would you like a picture created for you (if so what kind) or a story written? In short, yes to all!! I don't knit, though. But a recipe, even a family one, or a picture/photograph, or a story. These are all awesome ideas! I have some art on etsy favorited for style reference. Story can be up to the person. And as long as it isn't extremely regional or finicky, the sky is the limit with a recipe! Just no artificial sweeteners, and I am not keen on tomato or zucchini.
I didn't do this for other etailers, so I will make it easy on you, Witchy of mine.

Will update with more soon.
See my Notes of Win/Notes of Fail list. I am always willing to try new things!!! Notes are a good guideline for soap, but not the be all and end all. Soaps are more flexible since they aren't a constantly-used thing.
In fear of losing my post, I am starting a new one.
You are meeting up with someone on a casual lunch/early afternoon thing. This person is someone you want to impress/look good for (for whatever reason, not necessarily romantic, and not necessarily for business either). What would you look like, given the contents of your wardrobe/etc?
You sure you are ready for this? OK.
Dark wash jeans. I have one or two pairs that make my legs/butt look amazing and don't require a belt. No muffin top either, which is a feat for me. Then I would probably elect to wear my short sleeve ivory v-neck top with some beading/crocheting and sparklies around the neck. Because it is fall, I would also throw a purple open-front cardigan over top. The one I have has a ruffle-y thing around the neck/front edge. Then, to give myself a decent shape, I throw a wide belt on over top of everything (high on the waist, around the ribcage). And a scarf in one of my many colors. Add a black trench and a pair of gold sparkly ballet flats and that is it for clothes. I would likely wear something for earrings, nice and dangly. Maybe a headband or a floppy toque if it is cold.
Alternatively, I could do the same thing with my dark wash bluejean skirt and what I call my secretary shoes (beige t-strap stilettos). I can't wear heels much anymore though, so that would be if I was REALLY trying to impress them.
Some makeup and some BPAL, and I would be good to go!
You are to be let loose in a clothing store of your choice, to pick a full outfit, down to the shoes, the accessories, etc. and things would be altered to fit you if needed. What store would that be, and what would you look like?
Pretty much anything on my Pinterest fashion board. I would LOVE to own a pair of knee high boots, but I can't because of my calves.
You open a box from the post office to reveal the 3 things you want most right now. What are they? (caveats: size doesn't matter, but they have to be tangible/buyable).
Oh gosh... only three? Knee-high boots that actually fit and are comfy, some lab fresh BPAL (I have never owned any lab fresh BPAL *sniffles*), and Johnny Depp. Oh... he's not available for purchase? I can't really think of anything realistic for the third thing. I am very frugal... so there are things I want, but are way too much money. We'll go with anything off my Amazon wishlist.
What makes you laugh?
Russell Peters (though we have all his DVDs), puppies, my husband (we are incredible goofs). I am very sarcastic and witty.
The end of this month I'm going to Scarefest, the big horror and paranormal con in Kentucky. Here's the link to the site. If I were your witch, is there anything you would like from there (skull jewelry, art prints from an artist that catch your eye, etc), or anyone whose autograph or photo or such you would dig?
Probably not... but if your gut says yes, go for it! Just nothing too creepy and gory.
Are there any existing Weenies that you have your eye on, but haven't gotten around to getting?
I'm sure there are. Let me tell you my "pants" story. Weenies are the one seasonal I have never owned. I have had Lupers, I have had Yules. Never Weenies. So this year I said to myself... "Myself, I want Weenies. We are going to find a halfie decant circle on LJ and we are going to buy some Weenies!" I saved until I had enough to buy a few, if not one of each.
The day after the update happened, we wrote off our two year old car in a pretty bad accident. No one but me was hurt, and me not seriously (just got banged up a bit, going to physio for it and its really helping) which is REALLY GOOD. Things like cars can be replaced. People can't. And to top it off, the people in the other car weren't jerks at all. They didn't yell or scream, they were just calm and it was all good.
So I haven't even looked at Weenies, TBH. Because my savings went towards a new car, and with Christmas coming up and now a witchee to spoil *rubs hands together gleefully* there is no point. Also, most of the decant circles are full. *shrug* So Weenies weren't meant to be this year But we did get a shiny new car.
My new job is at a consignment store where we have all kinds of designer brands for very reasonable prices. Are there designer clothes/purses/sunglasses that you desire/love? (Give some indication as to your "style" as well. For example, do you like bohemian-style frocks in lavender? Crossbody purses in black? Sunglasses that are round and bug-like?)
I don't think in designers, usually. It would be cool to own something genuine, but not necessary. I like scarves. pashmina-style scarves. And purses. But with purses, the less it has on the outside (fringe, sparkly bits, etc.) the better.
I realize that we had a similar question in the ?aire, but I need you Witchee-s to list at least 5 items, each ranging $20 and under from Amazon.com or Walmart.com.
My favorite movie from childhood, Lip gloss, I need this in my life., I want to read this, Lego Harry Potter. Because it is awesome.
Do you have pierced ears?
Yes, two holes in the lobe. But I also have very sensitive ears. I like danglies for the first holes, studs for the second.
In the meantime, let me know what you like to do on the Internet to kill time. Flash games? What are your daily websites/blog visits, or favorite YouTube videos?
Puppy videos, I go to PostSecret weekly, I visit Tumblr a lot, I lurk on Cafe World on my Facebook games account... and I play WoW. I have a subscription to Cute Overload as well, so that gets me through the e-mail portion. LOLcats, CakeWrecks, Goodreads, the local paper (I like to be informed), Netflix (on my Wii, but it is still a website, right?)...
Are you interested in audiobooks? If so, any specific titles?
I've never really gotten into audiobooks. I find them hard to stay engaged in, and I fall asleep a lot with reading... and yeah.
Bar soaps with some scrubby bits, yes or no?
Sure? I like liquid soap too
Do you need any small electronic gadgets like flash drives and the like?
Flash drives are awesome.
Lip balm - tube or tin?
Prefer tube.
Would you like to receive a journal or sketchbook? How about other pretty paper goods like post-its, notepads, bookmarks, letter paper/envelopes?
Yes to all but sketchbooks. I don't sketch. I like paper goods. They are awesome.
Would you like a pair of knitted socks?
Sure! Machine washable would be great.
Do you have any use for knitted dishcloths, facecloths, etc, especially if they were fandom related?
Sure!
Do you subscribe to any sample boxes, and if so, which ones? Would you like to receive some samples? (perfume, eco/"green," skin care, hair, music downloads, cosmetics, soap...)
Never heard of these... but it seems cool. Not something I could maintain myself (monetarily) though, tbh. Also it would have to be a Canadian version. (Disability = poor vanillabean.)
Nudes?
No, thanks. I don't have a problem with them per se (if they are tasteful), but I have family who does, and having them over would be awkward.
Paintbox Soapworks: Interested in anything from her?
Nothing specifically, but I wouldn't say no to trying stuff out
ThinkGeek: anything interesting to you on there?
ALL THE THINGS! I have a wishlist, but I don't exactly know how to link it...
What's one thing you want, right now, that you're having difficulty finding?
More time! Other than that... sugar free items sweetened with stevia. (No aspartame, sucralose, maltitol, etc.)
Other E-tailers?
Nothing I am DYING to try, though I am always open to new things. I tried some Villainess recently, and I don't know if it is the carrier oil or the age of the samples I have, but I smelled like Crisco. Would like to try her soaps, though.
What do I do when I am sick/cranky?
I am always sick, but when it gets worse (when I have a cold or something) I am the biggest suck ever. I can't take a lot of medicines for common things because of all the things I am on for my chronic stuff. So colds, flu, etc. all get to wreak havoc on me. I drink tea, eat soup, take baths (which I can generally only stand for 10 minutes before I am too hot, lol) and snuggle up on the couch with blankets. Then I break out the kids' movies. The two I have from my childhood are The Jetsons Movie and The Chipmunk Adventure. I watch those two, Ferngully if I can find it on TV or to rent. Disney movies, etc. This is also what I do if I have a bad fibro/colitis day. I hole myself up in my room and watch kids' movies. When I am cranky or sad, I usually smash pixel things on the Wii or the computer. It can be very therapeutic *sagenod*. A lot of the time I will read as well when I am either sick or cranky. And sleep.
Who here is going to be picking up JK Rowling's new book on Thursday?
I want to read it, but then I also want to read a lot of things. I won't be waiting in line and it will likely be one I wait a while for.
Favorite and least favorite baked goods?
No homemade baked goods, please. (But, for informations' sake... Pie is my least favorite. Cupcakes/Cake are my favorite. Cookies and brownies fall somewhere in the middle.)
What size T-Shirt do you wear (standard AND babydoll)?
Standard: M-L Babydoll: L-XL
I found a fantastic little shop while traveling that had unusual jellies and jams. Would you be interested in trying something like Georgia Moonshine Jelly or TOE Jam (each letter stands for some kind of fruit, I don't remember which ones) or something similar? How about homemade jam in general?
Nothing with liquor please, but other than that, sure!
Would you be interested in homemade herbal remedies and tinctures?
I have so many health problems, and I have so many medicines I have to take... I am going to have to say no, thank you. Mostly to avoid unwanted interactions.
Owls?
Neutral.
Do any of Villainness' Soap Box exclusive scents interest you, especially any of the Smooches/Whippeds?
I am open, but nothing specific. To be honest, though, I haven't looked.
Puddin' just put a shitton of old Lunacy shirts on the BPTP Etsy! Any ones interest you?
Maybe?
Witchee, do you want anything from the Haunt update coming up on 10/3? I know it might be too early to say, but if you could look at the preview on the night of 10/2 and let me know if you want anything...
Never tried Haunt.
Do you use or would like to try loose eyeshadow pigments?
Sure!
Is there anything you might want from the latest update (Lab or TP)?
ALL THE THINGS!
What's a new company to you that you most want to try a product from or what would be a new product to you that you most want to try (make-up, perfume, or bath/body)?
Hmm... There is a cream called Fat Girl Slim I am intrigued with. And Korres makes a face line for oily but dehydrated skin.
If you like necklaces, what are some symbols or images that you would love to have a necklace depict? (ex. spiders, skulls, hearts...?)
I am pretty open. Spiders would freak my hubby out. I like simple stones, I like those circles with words on them, I like lockets. I saw a wishbone necklace that really intrigued me super lots.
**PLEASE NOTE**
These are not any sort of indication of "spend spend spend" for me. I LOVE homemade gifts... art cards, knitted assorteds (scarves, hand warmers, stuffed animals, etc). This is merely to help you get an idea for me as a person...
With regards to food on my Amazon WL... please disregard quantities altogether. These are some of my favorite things/things that look interesting and I can't get here.

A clarification note. My Amazon wishlist includes gluten-free, sugar-free and dairy-free cookbooks. This is something I am hoping to do in the future, not something I am currently trying to do... so pleast note the "No artificial sweetener" request in my questionnaire trumps all. I am allergic to a lot of them <3
Please no used cosmetics. <3
Do you like s'mores and s'mores-flavored things?
I haven't had real s'mores in forever, but I do like them. One of the best things about getting a charcoal barbecue was being able to roast marshmallows on it. Though I usually don't have the patience for s'mores and just roast marshmallows.
What's the neatest freebie you've gotten? It can be cool or thoughtful or just totally unexpected, and not limited to BPALdom.
Hmm. Well I won a trip to Jamaica this past year, and that was pretty cool and unexpected. But in the way of something someone gave to me... I did a Christmas card swap with my WoW guild this past year. I put that I liked sparkly things on the questionnaire. A guildie threw a handful of glitter in with my card. It was a PAIN IN THE BUTT to clean up, and I don't really wish random handfuls of glitter thrown in with things on anyone, but it was also super sweet that she did that for me and my love of sparkly things. When I asked if it was a super sparkly card or if she had indeed thrown in glitter, she responded with a "I did NOT throw in a handful of glitter. I carefully selected every piece!"
Would you enjoy receiving cute but useful items like colorful kitchen utensils/gadgets, or bento supplies? (boxes, chopsticks, accessories, etc?) What about things like spice mixes (homemade, or Penzey's for example)
Yes to everything but homemade spice blends. Since this is my first year doing this, I am a little squicky about homemade food things. No offense to anyone, I know you are probably NOT going to poison my husband and I, but it is a concern. Also, international import might be tricky with it. So we will save the trouble. But yes to everything else.
Do you like cute, seasonal or fluffy PJ bottoms? Like they sell at Target, Old Navy (they have had cute Halloween ones!) If so, what size do you wear?
Yes. Yes yes yes! I don't wear them for sleeping, only lounging, but I LOVE them. I don't know what size I would be. Anywhere from a medium to an XL. (I can fit into a 12-16 depending on the cut and style of pants)
What kind of chocolate do you like? Nuts, no nuts, white, dark, etc?
I am not a fan of white chocolate, nor am I a fan of super dark chocolate. I like chocolate filled with strawberry or raspberry the best. Coconut, almonds, hazlenut, chili, and rice crisps are all very good. I like some mint chocolate. All in all, chocolate is a good thing.
I live near a Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, and Penzeys! What does your little heart desire from any or all of these places?
One of everything twice, please. We don't have any of these stores in Canada, so anything unique or cool would be fun to get. But that also means I don't know specifically what they carry.
Are home made foods acceptable or does the idea of eating strange mailed food disturb you?
As this is my first year, I am a little squicky about eating homemade foods. Also I am concerned about international import on them. So we will go with no thank you for this round. I am sure your brownies, cookies and cupcakes are FANTASTIC.
I just gave you $20 and sent you into a "has everything" store ala Walmart and told you that you have to come out having spent it all, and none of it on anything you need. What would you buy? Be as specific as possible!
Scrapbooking paper, probably a book (potentially of the logic/sudoku variety), some pens (NEVER PENCILS), a coil bound notebook, and a box of chai tea.
What kind of cuisines do you like? (I mentioned this in my ?aire but curious what my witch may like)And, what are your favorite restaurants? Italian, Filipino, American, Canadian, Chinese, Japanese (omnom SUSHI), Indian, Mexican (Tex-mex), Ukranian. Restaurants include Five Guys, sushi (all local, no chains), Pancake House (Canada's IHOP)... I don't really eat at chains that much. Though I don't live far from Grand Forks, ND. I LOVE Texas Roadhouse, Ruby Tuesday, CherryBerry, Coldstone, Jimmy John's, Culver's, and IHOP.
Do you have an eReader and if so which one?
Sony PRS-T1. Will read ePUB books ONLY, but can convert Kindle books without DRM.
Do you like candles, or tart burners, or something? If so, what's your favorite scent to burn?
Candles are good. Also like incense. Vanilla is always a winner. Brown sugar, cinnamon, all of the warmer/fall scents. Berries and fruit scents are generally safe as well. There is one linen candle at Michaels that doesn't give me a headache. Most florals will cause headaches or sneezes if they are too strong, though I love TRUE lilac and rose scents.
I'm from Canada - is there anything specifically a witchee might like that is only available here?
If there is something specific to your province, cool. But I am also from Canada, so I can get maple candy and poutine to my heart's content. And Kinder Surprises.
What are your "fandoms" and would you like a t-shirt from TeeFury if an appropriate one came up?
Buffy the Vampire Slayer, World of Warcraft (mostly Alliance, though I play both), Harry Potter, BPAL, Legend of Zelda (haven't played anything since Majora's Mask), DDR, general gamer geekdom, general reading geekdom, DISNEY
Marzipan?
You know, I don't think I have ever had it.
Would you be interested in washable/reusable muslin “paper” towels (basically muslin squares hemmed around the edge)? Maybe in some sort of box to put on your kitchen or bathroom counter?
Sure! I like reducing my carbon footprint.
Do you drink alcohol and if so, would you be OK with your witch sending you homemade infused vodka? Also, does your state allow alcohol to be shipped through the mail (for example, PA doesn't).
No thank you, I don't drink.
If you get me (or a fellow Aussie, if there are any playing this round) as a witch or witch's minion, would you like to try some Australian specialties, such as TimTams (delicious chocolately cookies), Caramello Koalas (koala shaped chocolates filled with gloopy caramel), Australian native spices or anything like that?
Yes!!! I love trying new things that I can't get here!!! Just no Vegemite.
If your witch is a knitter, crocheter or sewer, is there a particular type of garment you would love to receive (hat, scarf, wrap, cowl, socks, fingerless gloves, arm warmers etc)?
Being where I am in Canada, it gets cold in the winter. So I am up for anything knit/crochet. Hats, mitts, socks, scarves, wraps, arm warmers, leg warmers, etc. Probably not a cowl or fingerless gloves though. <3
Is there anyone else in your house (kids, pets, partner) that would really appreciate a small gift being included for them in the switchwitchy haul so they don't feel left out?
My husband will be likely sharing most of what I get, and my dog wouldn't say no to some treats, but they have to be soft because he has very few teeth left.
Adopt a bat in my name?
Cute idea! I like animals!
Some of your favorite artists? Classic and modern?
Ooh, toughie. I like Wassily Kandinsky, Van Gogh (blue period mostly...), Jackson Pollock, Ansel Adams... But I am not a collector or anything.
If you could have an image or certain subject painted for you on any type of "canvas" (on a box, on paper, on a canvas, and so on) - could you point your witch to some of these images?
Something smaller would be preferred, as we don't have a lot of space in our apartment. But I like trees, abstracts, night scenes, lakes or rivers, etc. Anything calm and peaceful.
Is there a GC scent that's been on your list for ages but keeps falling off the bottom of your order because of the LEs?
I haven't bought BPAL in so long. I have an ammo case full of un-tried imps thanks to the immense generosity of forumites, decant circles and a few sales. I really want to try UGH as an oil, though. I have a chronic pain disorder, and I have a decant of the massage oil that seemed to help a bit. On the same note, GRR is a high priority, because I get headaches often.
I've been getting into indie nail polish brands recently. What's your favorite indie brand of nail polish? Or what's your favorite mainstream brand of nail polish? Or are you not big on polish?
You know, I love nail polish, but I don't wear it very often. I find doing my own nails often results in a messy mess of messiness. They don't dry properly, they chip really quickly, etc. I usually leave nail polish until I get pedicures done. I wouldn't say no to nail polish (just not tons of it) but I fear it might go largely un-worn.
Stuffed things: yea or nay?
Big yay!
Mix-in-a-jar? How to you feel about cookie or cake or soup mixes that come in jars and you just add, like, an egg or water or what have you?
No, thank you
I live near this very cool Retro store (you can order online too) - are there things from it that would make you squee if your witch sent them?
Um. In a word? YES! I love retro things. They are awesome. I have Silly Putty on my wishlist from ThinkGeek. And I tend to go to PinupGirl Clothing to ogle the style. So yeah.
Would you be interested in beer, wine, or other specialty beverages from your Witch's area?
Nothing alcoholic please, but things like (non-homemade) ciders or juices would be welcome!
Are there any crafts/skills you've wanted to learn but haven't gotten around to? And if so, would you be interested in supplies and tutorials?
Knitting and crocheting are big ones. I have a scarf that is half done becuase I know how to knit and purl, but I don't know how to do anything "fancy". Like cast off. I'd also love to learn to sew.
Who here would be happy to get a lil' sumthin sumthin from Adagio Teas?
Ooooh! Me! Pick me! I don't generally go for fruity or flowery teas, and tend more towards the spicier teas (chai, vanilla, etc.) BUT! I am willing to try anything!! I prefer caffeine-free options (Rooibos, decaf black, etc.)
Do you Ravelry? And if so, what's your handle over there? Would you be interested in gift patterns from your queue?
I do not.
Who likes Pumpkin Spice Hershey Kisses?
THIS IS A THING?! HOW DID I NOT KNOW THIS WAS A THING?!
What does your kitchen look like? Colors/style?
We are in an apartment, so our kitchen is made of fail right now. We are looking at getting a house in the near-ish future, though. Our dishes are white.
Witchee, what are your favorite quotes?
"When people don't express themselves, they die one piece at a time." - Laurie Halse Anderson
"Without music, life would be a mistake." - Friedrich Nietzsche
Put your iPod/MP3 player/what-have-you on random and list the first 10 songs it plays!
Que Sera Sera - Sly and the Family Stone
Alone - Glee Version
Money Honey - State of Shock
Put Your Records On - Corinne Bailey Rae
Portions of Foxes - Rilo Kiley
Oh! - Eric Hutchinson
Love You I Do - Dreamgirls (Movie Soundtrack)
Quando Quando Quando - Michael Buble and Nelly Furtado
Satellite - A cappella cover of the DMB song
Wannabe - Spice Girls
What's one random thing you really like and one random thing you really dislike?
Like: Thunder. LOVE THUNDER. And storms in general.
Dislike: Artificial blueberry. I can't stand the scent or the taste of anything artificially meant to be blueberry. I love real blueberries. But blueberry tea, blueberry candles, blueberry yogurt... it all makes me feel sick.
Are there any herbs that you haven't been able to lay hands on that I could send you? There's an herbal shop I really like here in NYC called Flower Power that has quite a wide selection.
Anything cool for cooking. Though nothing too tricky to use. (Like, Fugu tricky.) The Henna looks cool too (lighter colors, I am pretty pale).
If there are no "witchy" shops near you, is there anything I can pick up for you from Enchantments?
I listed myself as Agnostic in my questionnaire, but I was a practising Wiccan for many years. In a lot of ways I still identify with the religion in my Agnosticism... if that makes any sense. I used to have a quartz power stone. It was lovely, clear except for the tip which was dark purple. I used it as a kind of focusing point when I was feeling scattered or negative. One day, it just broke. Right in half. I keep meaning to get another one, but I can't find a metaphysical store that doesn't give me bad vibes. Nothing worse than a focusing stone from a negative place >.< I would also be open to stones that aid in helping chronic illness (pain, inflammation, circulation), wealth (can always use more of that), and focus.
Hey Witchee! I want to send you a delivery. It could be cupcakes from a local bakery, it could be a singing hugging bear-a-gram, it could be a bouquet of flowers. But it will be something that you need to be there to receive.
a) Are you OK with "special deliveries"? *waggles eyebrows*
Is the address in your questionnaire the best place to reach you for said deliveries?
c) If the delivery requires a phone number (as say, some florists do) would you be OK with that information being tracked down by your Witch or asked of you anonymously?
a) Sure!
Probably.
c) Would have to be asked for anonymously, as my number is a cell.
What are some things you are OK with receiving gently used or homemade, and some things you absolutely do not want if they are gently used or homemade?
Homemade: I am good with anything but food or B&B products.
Gently Used: books, t-shirts, jewelery (no earrings), scarves, DVDs, CDs are all A-OK gently used (And BPAL of course)
I live near a Mast General Store. It has lots of vintage-y toys, southern foods (jams, jellies, spices) and vintage candy. Is there anything I can get for you?
Sure! I am not a huge fan of taffy or black licorice, though. But jams and jellies? YUM!
Do you have any Fall or Halloween traditions?
Not really. Since we moved into the apartment, we don't get kids trick or treating, and even when we house-sit for mom and dad, we don't get many kids. I like carving the pumpkin and roasting the pumpkin seeds. Also, horror movies.
Ninjas or Pirates?
Ninja pirates. Or Pirate ninjas. In other words, both have their merits.
I have an extra room spray and 2 extra bath oils (one Cephalopod, one Exhibit Hall Fatigue) from Dragon*Con - would anybody like a decant?
Sure? I haven't looked up the scent notes, but as long as they aren't scents of death for me, decants are AWESOME SAUCE.
I know it is totally the wrong season (for most of us), but do you like/have space to garden? If so, what do you like to grow?
NB: Sending seeds through the mail can be tricky, especially internationally. So please keep this in mind.
I don't have space to garden right now But if seeds would keep or they were for something I could grow inside without too much fuss (herbs, chia pet, etc) that would be cool
I'm about to be near a Lush store next week, is there anything you might like from there?
I love Lush, but I am spoiled and have two in my city. <3
Songs that you keep meaning to buy but never get round to it?
I don't really buy single songs, and tend to go for whole albums instead. Nothing is jumping out at me right now, but I am always open to listening to new things.
Movies that you love but forgot to put in your questionaire?
Tons. I walked through a cheapy movie section the other day and went OMG a bajillion times. Pan's Labyrinth, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Brave Little Toaster (I like kid's movies... OK?), Harry Potter, Space Jam, Shawshank Redemption, Ferngully, Corpse Bride, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (both versions), Slumdog Millionaire... I could go on. I am not necessarily fangirling over the movies (i.e. I don't need t-shirts or other stuff), but they are ones I love and would watch over and over again.
Name one movie you keep meaning to buy, but just never get around to getting?
Any of the above.
Any favorite Bath & Body Works scents/products?
I don't like anything super floral. The pumpkin one is nice. I don't use a lot of B&BW.
Haus of Gloi is offering custom perfumes - would you like one? What would your ideal blend be?
Ooh, cool. At first glance... Almond, Vanilla, Cake and Coffee. Or Bergamot, Sandalwood, Lavender and Ylang Ylang. I don't know what order to blend them in though.
Any Bath, Body or nutritional type items you would love to try from a Natural and Organic food store (similar to Whole Foods) that you don't buy because they are a bit too pricey?
I can't think of anything off the top of my head.
Are there any if MeiLin's books (e-book or print) you'd be interested in?
I have Lovers and Beloveds in ePUB, so the sequel to that would be awesome (in either epub or print) or Mage Toy looked interesting too!
Witchee, will you be gone from your normal mailing address at any point during the round?
Nope. The address I gave is actually my parents' because mail tends to walk away from my apartment. I also am at that address through the day most days, since I work for my parents :3 so it worked out.
Are you a Disney fan or does even thinking about Disney make your head hurt? If you're into Disney, would you like something from the Happiest Place on Earth ?
ALL THE THINGS DISNEY. I LOVE DISNEY! I have never been to Disneyland/world (I don't know which is which, or if they are both the happiest place on earth) and would love a souvenir!
Dear witchee, would you, could you use an electric candle warmer?
I have one, and it is fantastic. It is also in a box somewhere... or maybe my mom stole it. But yes. They are AMAZING.
Witchee, would you like it if I made you a "mix tape" of songs that I think you might like? And if so, would you prefer mp3 or CD format?
That would be awesome! Either format works
Do you lust after some new socks/tights?
Yes, yes and yes. I love socks and tights and legwarmers. I would sell my soul for tights that stay opaque and don't look horrible on me due to me being plus size and having large calves. Socks are good as well, though its funny... I prefer being barefoot if at all possible. But I love socks. I have drawers of them. Yes. Plural. Ankle socks are my every day go-to, and I would love a pair of big, thick woolies to wear in the winter.
Are you a gamer (of any sort - video, casual, tabletop) and are there any games you want?
YES. I have some things on my Amazon WL, but I love new fun little games. Emphasis on being fun for two people so hubs and I can play just the two of us. I play World of Warcraft pretty intensively, and you can get pets and things like that. I would recommend asking me anonymously for a list of what I have if gifting me things for WoW is something you want to do. Magic The Gathering and WoW TCG are both TCGs I would love to get more into. I have NONE. I am just getting into dice games. And I like dice.
Would you be interested in BPTP CANDY?
There is BPTP candy?! Sure!!!
Do you like coffee? If so, what kinds? Flavored, fancy, basic? Beans or ground?
I don't drink coffee much, but I like flavored coffee when I do. Ground please, and it has to be decaf... or I get very very ill.
Would a Starbucks gift card make you happy or do you prefer your local place?
It would make me very happy. They have many non-caffeinated things for my enjoyment.
CUSTOM-Made Pottery?? yea or nay? coffee mugs, rustic or more elegant? a set of bowls? soap dish? bird feeder? something alltogether different? and lastly, good colors for glazes...?
I would love a handmade mug or bowl. Nothing bigger or that requires hanging, because I have no space, sadly. I like blues, purples, and reds for glaze Think jewel tones
Do you have a forum buddy? Someone who knows you and/or your tastes well enough to answer questions on your behalf?
Not really But I hope I have answered my questions thoroughly! And my Amazon WL is chock full of ideas.
If you are on Livejournal, would you appreciate LJ stuff like paid time, custom userheads, stuff like that? If you are NOT on LJ but are on other sites that have similar paid-for services (Flickr, for example?) would you, and what are those sites/etc?
I have my LJ, and while more userpic slots would be awesome, I don't use it much right now. I don't know if you can gift things on Wordpress. *checks* I'd love to be able to have custom design on my Wordpress blog, but it doesn't look like something that can be gifted.
If you are into tarot, what is your favorite card?
Not into Tarot, thanks
Would you like your own set of handmade rune stones or worry stones?
Rune stones, no. Worry stones, yes! But I might also need instructions on how to use them properly.
Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, cider, or none of the above?
All of the above! In order of preference: Tea, hot chocolate, cider, coffee. I need decaf coffee and prefer decaf tea.
Gum, hard candy, soft candy, or none of the above?
I am a gum person, and I prefer cinnamon above all others. I like Werther's hard candies. And I like gummie bears. No taffy or licorice.
Loose tea or tea bags? Do you need anything for your loose tea? (Filters, presses, etc.)
I like both. I have a special mug for my loose tea, but it is kind of a pain to wash since I like milk and sugar... so if you know of something less of a pain... hit me with it!
Zombies; Yay or Nay?
Yay I like Zombies.
If you have cats, do they like catnip toys? If you have doggies, would they like a super-reinforced canvas toy with a squeaker in it?
My dog has very few teeth left, so I don't know if super-reinforced canvas would be a good idea...
If you have kids, what are they into?
No kids
How do you feel about wearable knitted lace? Shawls, wraps, and the like?
Hmm, it looks like it has the potential to be something I would either really love or really... not love.
I notice that our lovely Greenwoodtree is able to do chart readings and/or forecasts at a very reasonable rate. Is this something you would want?
Yes, this looks awesome!
Candy Corn?
No thanks.
I live in Japan. Anything you would be interested in from there?

- On a scale of 1-5, how organized are you? 2, always striving for a 5
- Where, outside of the U.S. would you love to visit? (if you're international, this can be anywhere) Italy, Paris, back to the Caribbean all the cliche'd places of yore.
(there are no wrong answers for this, so don't be afraid to answer honestly) I would proudly stand in the open with that baby a-waving, shooting everything in sight. Bonus points if it makes sounds!
- What animal do you feel like the most? I don't really know.
- Your favorite feature about yourself: Eyes. Always eyes.
- Do you live in a neighborhood or in the middle of nowhere? Neighbourhood.
-Have you ever thought, "oh, I'm going to get myself one of those one of these days" but then never do? List 1 under $10 and 1 over $10. Under $10: Glass measuring cups. Over $10: More BPAL
- How do you feel about boi witches? Boy witches are warlocks. *sagenod*
- Do you like garage sales (boot sales)? Sometimes. I have limits on what I would buy used.

- You throw caution to the wind and runaway to join a traveling circus. What job would you want ( a main performer, a side show, a behind the scenes spot, etc) and why? Main performer. I used to do musical theatre and I miss performing a great deal.
A spent WoW game card, some paper scraps from card making, a handful of wedding photos showing myself my hisband and our families, some loose tea, an empty imp, a book or two, a Disney movie, a saxophone reed, some old sheet music, a piano key or two, something chocolate, a logic puzzle book, dried flowers, a game piece from any of the zillions of board games I have, my d20, a stuffed animal.
- Do you need storage boxes? Always!
And then I would top it all off with some WoW. Because you can never have too much WoW.

Also, I have a chronic pain disorder (fibromyalgia).
